Cd Autorun Menu

Hello,
Cann somebody tell me how to make cd (autorun) menu?
or where to find a tutorial.
I want to make a menu with 4 buttons some pictures, (All
pictures on a row)
I also want a video (avi or wmv) in a new window to preview
(something like the design of Youtube) witch enables to view it and
see where your current playing position is, incl the name of the
the file.
If this isn't possible just opening in windows media player.
And for every button you click on a sub menu?
How do I start?
Is this possible with Flash CS3 Proffesional?
Is there a easyer way to make this happen?

you'll need an inf file to get a cdrom to autorun. that parts
easy, but the menu system you'll have to put together in flash and
then have it attached to the inf file as the executable you want to
run.

Constant disconnect/reconnect and tons of errors.

Ijust got a brand new iphone 4, and just installed newest itunes fresh a couple of days ago.
The computer is running windows xp pro, and was just recently reinstalled about a month ago.
When I plug my iphone into the computer it will start to sync and then stop an give me an error either about "error reading device, iphone not connected," or an error with a hex code, or all of the above and others.
Heres what happens
I plug the phone in, the battery icon changes to a plug, then the lightning bolt, then back to normal, the phone tells me charging is not supported with this accessory, and sync in progress.
Windows pops up the autorun menu and asks me what I want to do with the connected camera, open it in word, or scanners and cameras.
Itunes also opens and starts the sync process, it shows syncing on the iphone.
then after backing up and copying some apps, the iphone goes back to the home screen as if it was unplugged, the sync stops and gives me errors.
I'm getting extremely frustrated with this too. If I leave it plugged in I constantly keep hearing the whistle noise the phone makes when it's plugged in, and windows wont shut up with the usb device plugged in/unplugged sound.
It will just keep disconnecting, trying to sync, failing and doing it all over again until I unplug it.
I've restarted the phone, restarted the computer and it still does this.
Do I have to unplug all of my other usb devices? it totally gets confused if I have a flash drive or another phone (my ROKR E8 or RAZR) plugged into the computer.

Sorry to tell you this but the iPhone is not a storage or backup device! Occasionally it will have problems, an app may be corrupted and cause problems! Because of this you will need to do one of the three (restart, reset, restore). You really need to backup everything on phone somewhere on your computer or a backup drive! Old phones stored contacts on the Sim... the iPhone doesn't... If you rely completely on your iPhone backup you may be sorry because that can get corrupted also!!
Again sorry to tell you this but having an iPhone when you dislike iTunes and refuse to backup (besides iPhone backup) is a bad decision... Not backing up is a bad decision with any smart phone!!! They're no longer plain old phones!!!

Officejet pro 8500 premier all-in-one

good morning from a frustrated user of a new 8500. a few days ago we junked our other all-in-one and bought the new one ref above. this init is equipped for wireless operation like our otherone was by using an hp print server. we are using a netgear range max dual band wireless-n usb adapter on our computer. when we insered the install disc and went through all of the directions several times the computer would not recognize the 8500. the store then told me to hook the printer direct with usb cables and after doing that and rerunning the disc the printer worked fine. however when i removed the cables and reran the cd for wireless it would not operater the all-in-one.
please help and thanks to evryone in advance.

Have you run the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect the printer to your router? If not, then do this first. Touch Setup(the Wrench symbol on the display)>Network Settings>Wireless Setup Wizard. This will let you choose your router and enter any security key. Then the printer should connect to your network.
Now unplug the USB cable and run the install CD again. Either select Add A Device or Install from the autorun menu. This time, the software should find the printer on the network and install it.

9i's Oracle Universal Installer problem in W2K server! Please Help.

Hi all,
I am trying to install Oracle database 9i on my w2k server (domain controller). The Oracle Universal Installer quits right after I choose install in autorun menu with this message:
'Error in writing to directory C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\OraInstall. Please ensure that this directory is writable and has at least 25 MB of Disk Space. Installation could not continue.'
I am installing as the administrator of the domain/server and I have 17GB left on my harddisk. I am using a P3 600 with 384 MB of RAM. My HD is Seagate ATAIV Baracuda and my motherboard uses VIA chipset.

I am using Diamond TNT2 video card. I have tried to install new (not newest) detonator drive and VIA 4 in 1 driver ver4.29 but it still gives me the error. Would it help if I install Java2 runtime on this computer?

Usb recognizes iphone as digital camera

I hvae Windows xp pro.
My notebook recognizes the iphone as a digital camera whenever I put it on the usb cradle. It just started with no particular reason.
Any idea to fix this will be greatly appreciated.

Is the iPhone showing up as a USB mass storage device? (in other words, if you open up "My Computer" does the iPhone show up there as a drive?). If so then it's not that XP is seeing your phone as a camera. It is that it is seeing your phone as a generic device that happens to have pictures on it. Likewise, if you have music on there in MP3 format and if it is showing up as a USB mass storage device then Windows Media Player will be listed as another application on the autorun menu.

Photoshop cs3 will not open any files when I try to open them?

Can somebody please help me? I have tried resetting my preferences in photoshop and it still does not work. I go to file < open < and the image does show up or anything I try to open in photoshop. I have windows xp and I am using photoshop cs3.

It almost sounds as though something has corrupted your installation of Adobe programs. It could be perhaps a necessary Common File being deleted, or corrupted.
Most Adobe programs offer the Repair Install feature, and I would see if it's available for CS3. CS2 Production Studio apps. allow for this. When I have had to do the Repair Install, I have just inserted the installation media (Disk 1), and have chosen Repair Install from the AutoRun menu. In some later versions, there was a Repair Install available from the Help menu, so you can look there too.
With suites, I have done the Repair Install for each program in the suite (CS2 Production Studio in my case), and just gone down the list (second, or third menu) of installed programs. For Production Studio, the whole process took no more than 45 mins. from the installation disks.
If you have lost something, the Repair Install should fix it.

Trouble installing MSI R9 270x twin frozr

I recently purchased and installed the MSI Radeon r9 270x ( have 64 bit vista on an HP pavilion, intel quad core 2), and although I have video and can see/use my desktop and internet browser, the card does not appear to actually be detected or identified by the computer and the drivers do not appear to be installed correctly. I followed the rather rudimentary instructions provided in the "Quick User's guide" that came with the box, which basically explained that all I needed to do was to physically install the video card and then put in the accompanying CD and click on the 'install drivers' icon on the autorun menu. However, nothing happened. When I did first turn on the computer with the new card, I never really got a 'found new hardware' window. However, every time I restart the computer, a window pops up saying "Windows needs to install driver software for your video controller (VGA compatible)", and even though I click on "locate and install driver software" it always comes up when I start the computer.
So, I started installing the various software from the CD - actually when I click on "install VGA drivers" it automatically starts installing afterburner. Clicking on the icon at the top labeled 'driver', nothing happens (including the first time I tried using the CD). Since this didn't work I tried looking to the internet to see what was wrong, and it occurred to me that I hadn't uninstalled drivers for my ATI radeon 4350 which was stock. I found that to do that I needed to uninstall ATI catalyst from my program list, which I did, but that still didn't change anything. I ended up reinstalling it anyway from the CD (which I assume is a more recent version).
After installing afterburner, then I tried installing Live Update 5, which claimed it was going through and installing all the relevant drivers. After spending some time downloading and installing all these drivers, nothing had changed and PC games still won't work. If I open up device manager, no video card is listed under "sound, video, and game controllers" and under 'other devices', there is listed "PCI device" and "Video controller (VGA compatible)", and the details listed for each of these is "unknown". Also, under display settings, if I click on the adapter tab, the details/properties all say "unavailable".
I've clearly done something wrong, but I have no idea what, and the instructions that came with this thing have been effectively useless. I'm looking forward to some good help on this. Thanks.

Be aware that this totally outdated machine might be not supporting latest generation vgas. It is already quite surprising that it actually shows an image and not a black screen as PCI-E Gen3 radeons usually don't work in PCI-E 1.1 slots. Still even a current machine usually requires a bios update for the latest vgas and your machine is surely far beyond any bios support. Furthermore a HP machine coming with a Radeon 4350 by default is surely using a cheap and low-wattage oem psu being insufficient for a R9 270X.
First check that psu. It needs to be at 24A on +12v and 500W minimum. If your pc is using a weaker psu there is no need about thinking how to get the R9 to work until you have a new psu.
If psu has been checked run >>Driver Fusion<< in safe mode and remove all current AMD drivers (freeware removal is enough). After reboot install the latest >>AMD Catalyst Display Driver<<. It might be needed to install >>Microsoft .NET4 Framework<< as well. Then retry.
If still no help try >>clearing cmos<< and retry. If that also fails you are most likely facing a compatibility issue.

Link calling .exe works in XP, but not in Vista or 7?

I am very new at Flash. I created an autorun menu where you can choose to install the software, view different .pdf manuals, or exit out. Everything works great in XP, but when I try to use it on a Vista or 7 machine, the installer doesn't work. Everything else works fine, but the link to the setup.exe does nothing when you click it. Can anyone help me?

EAS(Essbase Administration Services)

Hi everybody,I red a doc about EAS on this site which indicates that it is possible to install EAS from the Essbase 6.5.1 CD.But by parsing the CD, I don't see anything related to this product.Can somebody tell me if it is because of our license number or if it is a separate product that we need to purchase?Thanks

It was orginally meant to be included on the CD but never was so the autorun menu includes a selection for it. You can download it from the Download centre or support area on hyperion.com.The product is not license controlled i.e. any Essbase license gets use of EAS unlike Essbase deployment Services which is a purchased option.Hope this helps.Paul Armitage.Analitica Ltd.www.analitica.co.uk

Found new hardw

Hello everyone. I just purchased a new computer with the X-Fi Xtreme soundcard. My problem is the above soundcard is the only PCI device I have occupied in the PCI slots. Everytime I boot up the computer and enter Windows XP SP2 I get the "found new hardware" pop up. Windows asks me to install new driver and I download the latest driver for Xtreme but the problem is still there. I boot again and the same problem pops up and still exists. The soundcard functions properly but the annoying pop up stays with me everytime I boot the computer to Windows. Is there any recommendations? The motherboard is a ASUS P5WD2-E Premium. Comments and suggests highly appreciated.

What mainboard do you have in your computer? Just on the off chance: the A8N-SLI family of mainboards has a driver (for something ACPI related, if I recall correctly) which installs automatically when the installation disc is inserted into the computer. If Windows was updated with drivers from the Internet and the installation disc was never used, you will get 'new hardware found' messages until the installation disc for the mainboard is inserted (just wait for the autorun menu to pop up and then you are good to go).
What really bugs me is that Asus does not offer this driver for download on their website. It took me a couple of hours of digging around on the Internet before I found out about the little patch they hid on the installation disc.
Otherwise, it could be a BIOS setting or an IRQ sharing issue. If you don't have the skills to troubleshoot it, you might have to go to someone who does.

Help Me With Creating AutoRun CD Menu

I'm rather new to flash, I know the basics, I can do all the
graphics designs and buttons. I know how to make the menu autorun,
if I had one. I just don't know how to make the buttons open an
.exe or .pdf file when they're in the root directory with the menu.
I'm trying to make the menu be a standalone .exe so that it can
play on computers without flash. Can anyone please link me to a
tutorial or explain how to make a menu open up exe and pdf files,
etc, when everything is in the root directory?

Autorun CD Menu Using Flash CS3

I created a Flash file that I will use as a menu for an
autorun cd. I have CS3 and used AS 2 to create the files. If I test
the movie, it doesn't launch the files. If I publish it as a
projector file, I can launch the other files. After I burn the
files onto a cd, insert it into another computer and open the
projector file, it will not launch the files. Any thoughts on what
I am doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to create a disc without autorun

I made a nice movie slideshow using iMovie. I would like to burn it to DVD to show at a party. So, I shared it via iMovie to iDVD and it burned a nice playable DVD. However, there is only one movie on the disc and so, the "Autorun" is enabled by default. When you put it in the DVD player, it starts. How do I disable that so that I need to press play from the menu to start the movie?
I see in the manual how to enable autorun, but not how to disable it! Thanks for any assistance.

By default, iDVD creates an autorun DVD (perhaps in response to the complaints from folks who didn't want to create menus). I like the menus, and here are some instructions to fix it:

Autorun CD-ROM with flash content on website

I have two websites with Flash content that I need to put on
a CD-ROM for a presentation on a computer with spotty internet.
I've created the autorun part fine, but here's my issue. When the
html page pulls up in a browser and the link to the Flash content
is clicked, I get a security warning that " Adobe Flash Player has
stopped a potentially unsafe operation." Everything is on the CD -
nothing should be trying to access the internet - and I'm looking
for a way to override this security warning without having to
rebuild the flash files. So far, most of the info I've found deals
with changing something on the user's computer, but is there a fix
that can reside on the CD (so the user doesn't have to do anything,
or ever see the warning?)

The basics of what you are asking is pretty easy to do in
Director. To
make a menu, just import your graphics including buttons.
Create a
frame label on the timeline for each video. On each button,
add the
behaviour named 'Jump to Marker Button' (it is in the Library
under
Behaviours, Controls). Pick the appropriate label for each
button in
the resulting popup. Then import your video and place one on
each
frame. Put the 'Go Loop' behaviour on each of these frames
(in the
frame channel). That behaviour is in the Library under
Behaviours,
Navigation.
Depending upon how your movies are setup, the rest will be
different
(i.e. are the Quicktime, avi, wmv, RealVideo, etc?). But the
Library
has behaviours for a lot of them, and building custom scripts
is pretty
easy as well if you can put forth the effort to learn Lingo.
It is
actually among the easiest to learn languages in my opinion.

I attempted to get original settings through settings menu, but unfortunately while resuming when I typed a pass code the touch gesture , without control it typed unknown passcode and while confirming the passcode as well same thing happened.
Now my Iapd2 is disabled and itunes also not recognizing my ipad.
