Hi
Can anyone tell me how and from where can I check the load caused by the SAP EP on my ECC6 system.

System.load("/opt/test/libcoder.so") does not work!
hello!
I have a problem with JNI.
I have a shared object, libcoder.so, that i store in /opt/test/
The code runs in a UNIX enviroment.
the code that loads the lib looks like this:
static{
System.load("/opt/test/libcoder.so");
I get this exception when I run the program:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError
My program runs in a different directory, /opt/dev/test/
Does that matter??
If one makes a truss, simular to snoop, one can se that the program finds the lib file but an exception is thrown.
If one runns the program under the same directory everythings works ok.
I have set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH and the PATH to point out /opt/dev/test/
Do anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem? Are you sure .so must be there in the file name? Try without it.

How to monitor Http Request and Response when load testing is going on
Hi,
can any one please let me know how to monitor http request sent and response received for each virtual ID when a load test is going on ?
Thanks,You used to be able to see what the VUs "see" using the "VU Monitor" (it would only do a simple rendering of the HTML but it served it's purpose). However this was replaced (in v12 I think?) by the "VU Log". While this offers simlilar functionality, I have had problems getting to see the same level of detail. You may need to use the "debug" modes. Also check the "Content" tab within the VU Logs (it is the closest equivalent to the HTML you would see in the responses in the old VU Monitor).

With ext. monitor high system load by Deferred Procedure Calls (DPC)
After booting my Thinkpad E540 with an external monitor connected, one core is 50% busy with Deferred Procedure Calls (DPC) and it runs constantly at 100% clock speed (2.2 GHz). See picture below.
After unplugging / reconnecting the HDMI cable the system load goes down to almost 0% and the clock to about 40 %, as it should.
It looks like a driver problem.
How to reproduce it:
(1) The Monitor is connected via HDMI, then power on the Thinkpad while shortly opening the Thinkpad.
(2) After logging in, the Task Manager shows 50% load at one core, the Ressource Monitor shows that all the load is consumed by Deferred Procedure Calls and that the clock is constantly at 100 %.
(3) Open the Thinkpad and disconnect the HDMI cable. The load goes down to almost zero and the clock below 50%, as it should be.
(4) Reconnect the HDMI cable and the load stays at almost zero.
Some Details:
Thinkpad E540, i7-4702MQ, 8 GB, screen resolution 1920 x 1080
Monitor HP LP2275w, resolution 1680 x 1050
Win7 64bit SP1, up to date by Windows and ThinkVantage systemupdate
The intel IGP is active (not Geforce 740M).
It does _not_ matter if only the external screen is activated or the internal and externale are expanded or duplicated in the display settings of Windows.
Has someone else the same problem?
Any ideas what I can do?

Hi, please advise.
I have two business processes, one old process and another new - optimized process. Question is how to measure the system load (total) for realization of the first - old process and new process to measure difference of how the processes load the system.
I need to measure the system load only for realization of the processes (each process consists of several transactions).
I want to measure the load for realisation of the first process and know how it loads the system and then make the same measurement for the second process - so two separate measures are needed.
I work in SAP R/3 Enterprise.
Thank you for any advice.
LubosHi,
i have tried tx SAT - but it is not available for me, so i make measurements thorugh se30. There is no problem with transactions like FB60, FF67 etc. but when I try to measure the F110 transaction system shows an error during the measurement. Message number: S7068, diagnosis: see note 170470.
Do you know what problem could it be.
I´m a newbee in this.
Thank you for any replies. -
Hi,
I'm new to Performance Testing.Which of the common metrics reading (in network,in database,in webserver, network, system etc.) would help me if i conduct a test to check the performance of the three tier application structure.I want to make sure that it is enough to handle the application.
Thanks,For a good start, you could follow the methodology described here : http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/oem/grid-control/overview/wp-rapid-1.pdf
Then, you could monitor CPU/Mem/io for each server and depending on your environment, maybe to monitor closely the DB & the middle tier.
If it is Oracle DB & WLS, we do recommand to use Oracle Enteprise Manager to monitor the environment and then to gather metrics (for example AWR/ADDR report or JVM diagnostic) from OEM to Load Testing console.

No system load data available in st03
Dear Guru,
When i am executing Tcode ST03 it is showing that "No system load data available"
when i am executing "RSSTAT83" report then its thriwing "LOGDB_SSCR_NOT_FOUND" dump.
statndard job getting cancelled thats why i hae change the status of all standard btc jobs.
but system is still too much slow. Right now there is no job running.my patch level is also 14 of both abap & basis.
What to do......Hi Gaurav
this kind of error belongs to In correct time Zones, OS Time and R/3 Time was different, please set both time zones same in all clients using STZAC Tcode
again if not slove your problem then fallow this procedure.
It is possible that the workload collector is not schedule. To schedule the collector, choose, in Expert user mode, Collector -> Perf. Monitor Collector -> Execution Times in the left subscreen. The system displays the Contents of table TCOLL screen. Ensure that the report RSSTAT83 is scheduled hourly.
if not scheduled hourly, then execute aboue report in SE38

Hi All,
Till now we have only BW Development box..
Our Landscape for R/3 side is R/3 Development, Testing and Production.....
Already we have connected R/3 Development with BW Development... It is working fine as now... We have finished our task at Development...
My doubt is <i><b>Can we Configure R/3 Testing to BW Development</b></i>....eventhough R/3 Development is already configured with BW Dev....
<b>Can we have two R/3 Source Systems(Dev & Test) in BW Development....?</b>
Please help me out in this issue....
Your help will be appriciated...
Regards,
Kiran TelkarHi Kiran,
You can create second source system which will point to SAP R/3 Quality .
If you have transported all datasource activation requests to QA environment then all datasources are available in R3QA as well.
After creating source system , replicate datasources.
Only thing you need to do is to replicate efforts of assigning source system (R3QA)-> creating transfer rule -> Create info package and load data.
Hope that helps.
Regards
Mr Kapadia

Hi All
I am currently load testing a NIO Server/Client's to see what would be the maximum number of connections that could reached, using the following PC: P4, 3GHz, 1GB RAM, Windows XP, SP2, 110 GB Hard Drive.
However, I would like to test the Server/Client performance on different OS's:
Which would be the best possible option from the following:
1. Partition my current drive, (using e.g. Partition Magic), to e.g.
- Win XP: 90 GB
- Win Server 2000: 10 GB
- Linux: 5 GB
- Shared/Data: 5 GB
2. Install a separate Hard drive with the different hard drives
3. Use a disk caddie, to swap in/out test hard drives.
4. Any thing else?
- Would the Operating System's hard drive size affect the Server/Client's performance, e.g. affecting the number of connections, number of File Handles, the virtual memory, etc.?
Many Thanks,
MattYou can use a partition on the same HDD or use a second HDD, disk caddie well if its a direct IDE or SCSI. If its usb no it will be too slow, may be if you have a fire-wire but I still don't recommend it.
Be careful if you don't have any experience installing Linux you may do multiple partitions on you disk without knowing, because Linux ext partitions are not visible to windows.
Recommended disk size for fedora is 10 GB. This is the amount of data that will be created on you HDD when you do a full installation. -
Application Insights for load testing in VS 2013, Azure Preview or Visual Studio Online?
I'm trying to get some clarification on which version of application insights to use to get performance counters from application insights for my azure cloud service for load and performance testing purposes.
So far, its not be clear what the differences between the two versions are, after deploying first the Azure Preview version, I attempted to set up performance counters using application insights but was shown an error because my visual studio online account
did not have an associated application insights instance.
Is it possible to get performance counters using AI for load testing using the Azure Preview version? If so, how? If not, is that planned as a new feature or will performance counters for VSO cloud based load testing have to be used when support for the
VSO version of application insights is eventually dropped?
Thanks,
LukeHi Alex, thanks for your response. I do have an Azure account, and have tinkered with AI in Azure Preview. My question was more about what the differences between the VSO and azure preview versions of AI are.
When I initially deployed AI to the azure portal and tried to run load tests from visual studio (cloud load tests, that is) I could not. Its possible I had made a mistake in configuring the azure version of application insights though. Strangely enough,
I actually do still see application insights data in the azure preview portal after I removed the newer AI version and installed AI 1.3.
To clarify my question, is it or will it be possible to run cloud based load tests (using visual studio online or another integrated service) against a azure web role deployed with application insights for azure and get performance counters of the system
under test via AI? To do that, will I also have an application insights application in the visual studio online account (similar to how I do now with the VSO version of AI), because that seems to be a requirement to load performance counters from application
insights within visual studio.
Thanks and sorry if I misunderstood your answer. -
ATS load testing for E-Business Suite using IE8 issue
Hi,
I am trying to record a load testing script using Oracle Application testing SUite for E-Business Suite R12.1.3 application. When I start recording I get a pop up asking me to change/disable XSS filter in IE8. I have altready done that and restarted the browser. But the same pop up message comes up.
My queries are:
1) Is ATS 9.3 supported for use with Internet Explorer 8? I am using Windows 7
2) How can I overcome this issue so that I can records EBS script in openscript.
I have run the runDiagnosis.bat file under openscript install folder and the output is as follows:

CPHello
1/ ATS 9.3 is supported with IE8, not IE9 at the moment
2/ Did you disable xss settings for the four different security zones?
You can also try to add the EBS url to the trusted sites and disable xss settings for that zone only.
Let us know and good luck

Whats the best way to load test?
So our app is ready for prime time and we are concerned about response times whether we will survive 100 simultaneous users.
It would be additionally useful if I knew how many users we could tolerate simulataneously.
I attempted running jmeter but I didn't spend a lot of time with it and it didn't overwhelm me with information.
I get the sense that I would probably have to spend a couple weeks to really create useful, valid test simulations which I didn't have time for.
Also, is it even legitimate? The fact that it is one single machine trying to simulate a hundred users on distributed machines?
So, I really lacked a lot of confidence in my test.
In fantasyland it would be great, if say there were some distributed google cloud machines that could simulate 100 users and start firing away at my app.
Starting at 10 users and ramping up until no longer responsive and then providing those results.
The fact is I don't have a lot of experience with this and would appreciate insight.
Also, it just occurred to me that this is an internal app inaccessible from outside the organization.
Does anyone have something they might consider the holy grail of load testing or good advice? Thx.If you have money to spend, I would recommend using Oracle's Application Test Suite (ATS) since it is the only test tool I know of that allows you to create a functional test and then convert it to a load test. The capabilities of this tool are pretty amazing considering that it is a single tool where the go to toolset in the past was Win Runner / Load Runner. With Win Runner, you needed 50 machines (or VMs) if you wanted to generate front end load for 50 users. With ATS, you record a script with your browser, and then convert it into a load test. You can adjust things like think time, ramp up time, sustained load, etc.
What a lot of people miss is that testing tools can be used indefinitely, not just for getting through a migration. If you script your tests appropriately (which means that your user base trusts them), you can use them for every code release because it takes very little effort to run a test script. On top of that, you can set up strategically placed machines around your network that are set up to run a specific test script (think of a common transaction) so that performance metrics can be captured. I worked for a company that had 160 locations around the world and we used our testing tool as a performance monitor in the locations with the worst performance. Having a tool allowed us to see whether our performance issues were related to network, database, app servers, etc. This took the burden of explaining performance issues off of the users. Most users can't really articulate what the problems are anyway (and they aren't expected to).
If budget is an issue, you can use JMeter from Apache, which will give you the load testing capability but you will miss out on the excellent reporting and management capabilities of the Oracle Application Test Suite.
