Cenvat amount is debited to Asset Account in MIRO

Hi All
We have made a GR using an Import account assigned PO with WBS element & AUC  (import Pricing conditions) .
Cenvat credit captured and posted with all correct entries but during MIRO ,the Cenvat amount is getting debited to the AUC account in the PO.
How is this happening and how to resolve this ?
Kind Regards
Samson

Hi Pankaj
Thank You for the immediate reply.
We have checked the PO , the GR Non-Valuated indicator  is neither ticked in the PO nor it is active in OME9 .
But the item for which we are doing GR is Non Valuated material (accounting views not existing in Mat Master)
Other Condition masters are maintained as required.
Our requirement is, the Cenvat Account should get debited to Customs Vendor maintained against the condition in the
PO, instead of AUC account.
Kind regards

  • Cenvatable amount posted to same G/L in MIRO for Import Purchasing

    Hi,
This is a case of Import Purchasing when Purchase Order is created with text (without material code) and account assignment (Cost Centre & G/L account).
While doing Invoice Verification for Custom/CVD, the entire amount is posted to the G/L account as mentioned in PO. Ideally only noncenvatable amount (Basic Custom, , Ecess & SEcess) should be posted to this G/L account and Cenvatable amount (CVD, Ecess, SEcess & ACD) should not be posted to this G/L account as later on we are taking benefit for the Cenvatable amount.
Can any one assist in getting the result
    Thanks in advance

Pl use material code, material code with J1ID settings will drive your desired result.
Without material code (Generic material) its not possible to take CENVAT credit.

  • Amounts being debited then credited to account

Hi, hope someone can help or enlighten me.
I used the iTunes store to buy the iWork suite with a credit card three years ago. And, I think I may have used the account to buy a few other apps over the past three years. The only music I have purchased through the iTunes Store was with a gift card.
Anyway, nearly every month since then, a small amount has debited then credited from/to my credit card accouunt. However in July this year my bank statement tells me I had 10 transactions with iTunes when I did not buy anything.
July 3: My account was credited with 1.98
July 14: My account was debited twice on the same day for 1.98
July 17 My account was credited with 3.59
July 19: My account was debited two amounts: 1.98 and 1.79
July 24: My account was credited with 1.98 twice
July 27: My account was credited with 1.98.
What is going on? Anyone have any clues? I have now set my iTunes account payment method to ‘none’, but I’m really curious as to why this was happening.

  • Step to post a JV by crediting the order and debiting the asset

    Hello everyone,
I would like to ask about the step to post balance amount from the order because the balance is no longer can be post to the AUC since already deactivated. please show me how to post a JV by crediting the order and debiting the asset? your answer very much appreciated.
    Regard,

Through JV you can post the entry as follows:
    Postingkey          A/c                                                                 CO object
50                       P&L a/c (account for credit entry)                   Internal order
    70                       Asset
Other alternative is to create a new settlement rule in Internal order settlement for the asset you want to post a debit and run the full settlement.
Let me know if it works.

  • Error - Asset Accounting

    Hi All,
I have an Issue in Asset Accounting.Details are mentioned bellow. Pls help me with your advices to resolve this.
Fiscal year assigned for our Company Code is Z1 and it starts from April 2007 till March 2008. We have run the depreciation for 8 periods (i.e., from April 2007 to Dec 2007). After posting the depreciation for December 2008, Management has decided to change the fiscal year to April 2007 to Dec 2007. So that we will have the Calendar year as the Fiscal year from 2008 (jan 2008 to Dec 2008). So that i have change the posting periods by shortened the fiscal year.
As System calculates the depreciation for 12 months and it distributes into 12 periods in that year, postings are done for the first 9 months (Apr 2007 to Dec 2007). And there is balance of 3 months depreciation not posted in the system according to the system initial calculation. So while running the depreciation for 1st Posting Period of 2008 (jan 2008) system has shown error. And so that i have test run the depreciation (AFAB) for the December 2007 with selection of Repeat Run. Results of the test run shows as Amount Posted in Dec 2003 is with correct figures and amount to be posted is with the amount of the 3 months depreciation. So system is expected to post the 3 months Depreciation. Only then we could able to run the depreciation for January 2008.
But we are not required to post those 3 months depreciation in Dec 2007 as that is the last posting period in 2007 and we have already posted the depreciation for this month.
Pls help me to provide the solution to change the amounts which are shown in Amount to be posted column if i repeat run for Dec 2007.
    Thanks in advance

  • Asset Accounting: Lineal Depreciation

    Hey!
I have implanted the module of Asset Accounting. We have defined a lineal depreciation Key for some assets. But when we enter to the Asset explorer (AW01N), we can see that we have different values for each posting period (the posting periods are defined in months). I think this is because each month have diferente days so Sap calculate different values. We think that SAP is considering if the month has 31 days or 30 days.
I want the depreciation to be calculated with the same value each month. In what point of the cuztomizing I can define this?
    Thank you in advance,
    Leyre

Pls check the settings for the period control methods where you can define the no.of days with FV, based on the days wise you can restrict the depreciation amounts calulation, but the specific amounts option will not be available to serve your purpose.
Let me know for any further info.

  • Write up the value adjustment in Asset Accounting

    Hi All,
I did the asset transfer with in the company code using T-code: ABUMN
    Old Asset # 1000
    Asset Value Date: 18/04/2006
    Estimated Life time: 5 Years
    Depreciation: Every year: $ 5400.00/12 = $ 450.00 p.m.
For the current year up to 31 Mar 2007 – Posted Depreciation is $ 5400.00
    I did the asset transfer
    New asset # 2000
    Asset Value Date: 18/04/2006
Estimated Life Time : 15 Years
    Depreciation Posted  up to  31/03/2007 - $ 1800
The issue is, after I did the transfer, the book value of the old asset # 1000 has transferred to new asset # 2000, the depreciation has also calculated correctly- $ 1800
In addition to that, an extra amount $ 450 (Depreciation amount of the old asset #1000 per month) has also deducted the book value of new asset # 2000
The Current information of New Asset #2000
    Acquisition Value: $ 27000
    Ord. Dep – Posted $   1800 -
    Value Adjustment $      450-
Net Book Value $ 24750 - But this value is not correct.
What I need to do that, I have to maintain the book value for the new asset #2000 for the current year 2006-07 is $ 25,200.00 and meanwhile require an entry for that value adjustment $ 450.
If I want to do write up the value adjustment amount $450 for the current year, the system doesn’t allow to post the transaction and also in FI Doc posting (Because the account that I would like to post is a Recon Account). My company wants to write up in current year only ($450)
Can you help me to resolve the issue?
    Thanks with Regards,
    Bala

    Hi Murali,
Well and thank you for your answer and meanwhile you didn't mentioned that How to set back the Recon a/c indicator for the G/L acoount. Because I tried to reset and the system gives the Error message "the account is having balance" and doesn't save.
But Finally I tried with T-code: OAK5 and result was fine.
    Thank you for your information.

  • What is mean of write-up in asset accounting

    Dear all,
In asset accounting what is the mean of WRITE-UP.In which case we use this transaction. Can we use this t.code for any movement.
    Advise me
    Thanks & Regards,
    Srinivas

    Hi
A write-up is generally understood to be a later change to the valuation of an asset. This change can take different forms, depending on the reasons for the change. There are two common reasons for write-ups:
    1.     You forgot to capitalize an asset in a fiscal year that is now closed, and this omission must now be corrected (write-ups to APC are usually called post-capitalization). Current year income statement gets a credit for the extent of post-capitalization amount given the assumption that the Vendor invoice was booked as an expense in the previous fiscal year.
    2.     The value adjustments (depreciation) that you calculated in the past were too high. You must now correct this error using a write-up in the current fiscal year. Excessive depreciation generally results from:
u2022     The use of incorrect depreciation terms (incorrect expected useful life, incorrect depreciation key)
u2022     Unplanned depreciation, which is no longer valid in the current situation
u2022     A later reduction in the acquisition and production costs of an asset (for example, due to a subsequent credit memo).

  • Floating Mark up rates in Leased Asset Accounting

    Dear Gurus,
our comapny is going to arrange leased assets (vehicles/Plant and Machinery). we have configured leased Asset Accounting and as Lease Tab is updated according to lease terms, system automatically giving us lease payment schedule.
there is Annual Interest Rate field in lease tab, where we can update annual interest rate
NOw there is requirement from my finance department that sometime they enter in lease agreement with floating market rate (in our country KIBOR+)
so as periodically markup rate is changed, lease installment amount and markup amount will be changed automatically
now please help me how floating mark up rates can be catered in Laesed Asset Accounting. kindly note that i assumed that after 3 month, mark  up rate changed and changed thefigures of installement and annual interest rate in Lease tab of Asset master record and as i went to execute automatic interest and depreciation posting, system poped up message of change depreciation amount and if i reclaculte deprecition, depreciation for  previous periods is posted  which is not desired

  • Exchange rate diff amount posted to AUC asset

    Hello All,
I am stuck with one issue and looking for some help
We are creating purchase order with account assignment as projects and then doing MIGO & MIRO and then settling through CJ88 to AUC asset.
The issue is related to exchange rate difference amount posted to AUC asset.
MIGO and MIRO are done on different dates and the difference amount in exchange rate posted to GL account maintained in KDM.
Now, when i settle the WBS element through CJ88 the AUC asset is posted with amount including the exchange rate difference amount.
Business do not want the exchange rate amount added to the AUC asset.
please confirm is this the system standard behavior .
    Your inputs appreciated.
    Thanks
    Shashi

    Hi Shashi,
As per Accounting Standards, the asset must be valued on the exchange rate on the date which risk and reward is transferred from seller to buyer.
For example If the vendor despatch the assets on 01.03.2014 at his place and contract is Exworks then the asset must be valued on exchange rate on 01.03.2014. Lets assume exchange rate on that day is 1USD=60INR. The price is 100 USD. You receive the assets on 10.03.2014 and exchage rate on that day is 55 INR. Now if you make GR on 10.03.2014 Asset value will be 5500 INR whereas as per AS it should be 6000 INR. That is why when you do MIRO the differnce between 6000 and 5500 is posted to asset.
When you do MIRO you must enter currency(USD) in Basic data tab and exchange rate 60 in details tab.
What happens in your system is standard behavior of SAP as well as correct process as per Accounting Standards.
    Hope it is clear.

  • "NO CENVAT AMOUNT TO BE POSTED NO CENVAT AMOUNT TO BE REVERSED" while doing

I am facing a issue u201CNO CENVAT AMOUNT TO BE POSTED NO CENVAT AMOUNT TO BE REVERSEDu201D while doing the J1IEX transaction for the GRPO IP.
I have captured the excise invoice in MIGO and trying to post in J1IEX. Also checked the Part 1 tables (J_1IPART1 and J_1IEXCDTL) are generated and updated with Internal No.
Can you let me know what could be the reason for giving the above message
Will be appreciated for the help

    Hi,
Go through the note 910681. You are expected to give subtransaction type IP to excise transactions GRPO, EWPO,CAPE & DIEX. IP represents imports & the system will not post any accounting if this is not present
SPRO - LG - tax on goods mvmt - Accounting - Specify Excise Accounts per Excise Transaction ...If the subtransaction
type is not defined for this then the one given in the customising node Specify G/L Accounts per Excise Transaction will NOT be recognised.

  • Error : No Cenvat amount to be posted ... urgent

    Dear Experts,
I have captured the excise invoice during GR and part 1 entries have been updated.
However, while posting excise invoice when I simulate cenvat in j1iex for import purchase orders I get an error 'No cenvat amount to be posted and no cenvat amount to be reversed'
    This is bit urgent....
    Cheers!
    Sachin Narvekar

    Hi,
I also got the same problem. we maintained subtransaction type as IP Import purchase in SPRO - Logistics general - Tax on goods movement - india- account determination - maintain subtransaction type.
then we maintain SPRO - Logistics general - Tax on goods movement - india- account determination - specify excise accounts per transaction. In this maintain maintain values for IP for main transaction of EWPO, GRPO, CAPE.
Then maintain SPRO - Logistics general - Tax on goods movement - india- account determination - specify  G/L account per excise transaction. Take help of FICO person in this.
By this way I solve the problem.

  • Vat charge when we sale asset through asset accounting f-92

what configuration settings we need to be done to charge vat on asset sale through asset accounting f-92.

    Hi Abhi
What I have seen clients doing is this:
They post F-92 to remove the assets from the assets register...Either with or without tax
Then they post VF01 with 100 discount so that VF01 posts only the Tax amount incase its not posted in F-92
Later on you can print the invoice from SD and pass it on to the customer

  • Superhero Asset Accounting Tax Question

    My future best friend/s-
    Background:
I work for an energy company specifically natural gas. We have assets (pipelines, metersu2026etc) that are placed in service (put in the ground) and maintained in a excel spreadsheet. After they go through an internal approval process (which causes a huge backlog for input) they are entered into SAP (or the asset is created). My problem is some assets are installed one year (amounts are maintained in the offline excel spreadsheet) and entered into SAP in another year after the previous year is closed. Our SAP isnu2019t catching the tax books depreciation amounts correctly.
    Example:
Asset entered in 2008 (pipe put in ground and tracked in excel)----->Asset entered/created in SAP 2010 (after 2008 and 2009 is closed).
Possible solutions I am looking for:
    1.     Can I make the tax books have a different fiscal period or none at all?
    2.     Is there something I can do with the depreciation keys, useful life, period control or anything that will help with me?
    3.     I know about the write-up functionality, however, the tax accountants (funny I never knew how difficult accountants could beu2026especially since I use to be one) will only use it as a last resort.
    4.     Is there any books or web-videos that can teach me this type of stuff in SAP that donu2019t read like stereo instructions (I guess this is a general question).
If you can solve this problem you will be a superhero in my book. Please let me know if you need more info (BTW this is my first blog ever).
    Thanks,
    Jack

    Hi Jack,
What has been said above is right. In AS01 all you do is use the 'post-capitalization' indicator at the start, then you see in the 'General' tab that the 'Capitalization on' field is (in my system at least) a required field. Here for example I enter 01.01.2008. Once hitting enter, following fields are filled automatically and remain greyed out:
    First acquisition on 01.01.2008
    Acquisition year     2008 001
In tab 'Depreciation areas' in AS01 field ODepr.Start is also automatically filled with value 01.01.2008.
Then comes the posting: as for the value you post, for example in the open fiscal year 2010 (e.g.01.01.2010) you can observe nicely the different system behaviour in case you post an normal external acquistion (ANZON) or indeed a post-captitalization (ABNAN). You will see that in later transaction (ABNAN) you find a value adjustment is posted in AW01N to represent the ord.depreciation calculated and so adjusted for 2008 & 2009. So, only the remaining ord.depreciation will then be planned and posted in the remaining useful life
However, if you for example post a normal external acquisition to an asset (set up with 'post-capitalization' indicator and cap.date 01.01.2008 in AS01), you will also observe, that the FULL depreciation for the asset is now calculated and spread over the remaining useful life.
And yes, whether or not in the first period the planned depreciation is a 'catch-up' amount or an equal 'smooth' amount depends on your setting in the company code in OAYR, just as well explained already above (indiator 'Smoothing').
I hope this further clarifies and helps explain - best of luck!
    Kind regards,
    Brigitte
