Certificate Authority not working when signing documents (Active Directory)

We recently went to an Active Directory structure at my job, and we do a lot of signatures. Part of the Active Directory setup was an auto-certificate authority setup. I went to sign a document  recently and the signature will not apply. I went into trust tab and clicked to trust the certificate, and then backed out, but it still will not sign. When I click to sign the document nothing happens. There are red Xs next to everything in the trust tab.
Any ideas? I am wondering if there is something I can do in Adobe to let it know that certificate is trusted?

When Acrobat builds the signature object (which is created when you sign), it tries to populate the object with as much data as possible in order to facilitate long term validation. This means that it is trying to add all of the certificates in the signature chain to the PDF along with all of the corresponding revocation information (which is either an OCSP response of a CRL). This way, after the signer's digital ID expires all of the validation collateral will still be available, otherwise you would get an Unknown signature after the signer's cert expired.
In order for Acrobat to get the revocation information trust has to be established. When you create the signature Acrobat tries to gather all of the certificates in the signing chain. After it has finished building the chain it walks the chain from the bottom up (the bottom being the signer's certificate) and checks to see if the cert is a designated trust anchor. Once it finds trust anchor it will try to procure revocation info for each cert below the trust anchor, but not the trust anchor itself. After it has gathered up all of the rev info it writes it into the PDF file along with the certificates. So, when it comes to signature creation, it's good to add the certificate that is at the root (top) of the signing chain to the Manage Trusted Identities list and trust it for signing and certifying. That way when you do sign all of the rev info will be written into the file.
The next thing to realize is Acrobat can only retrieve the revocation info if it knows where to get it from. Each certificate in the signing chain except for the root cert should have an extension that tells Acrobat where it can download the information. For an OCSP response the URI is in the Authority Information Access (AIA) extension and for a CRL the URI is in the CRL Distribution Point (CRLdP) extension. If there is an entry in either of these two extensions that are not valid (that is either they don't exist or, the exist but don't really provide the expected data) then Acrobat will try to download the data, but the download will fail. Thus, you end up with a signature in an Unknown state because revocation checking must succeed if the is an AIA or CRLdP extension. Wheat you need to check is, does the certificate have one or both of these two extensions and if so, does it lead to a successful download.

  • Transferred CS4 to new MacBook Pro, now some fonts will not work when PDFing documents from InDesign CS4. Help!

    I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro. I transferred my CS4 from my older MacBook Pro to my new computer, and although it seemed to be working fine now some fonts will not work when PDFing documents from InDesign CS4. These fonts are installed on my new computer, can be found in InDesign CS4, and work fine within the program but will not appear in PDFs. The letters turn into rectangles. Does anyone know why, and how to fix that?

  • Print Document option, not work when adding documents.

    Dear friends.
    I have checked inside SAP BO the checkbox Print Document when AR Invoice is added (Print preferences)   But this action not work because the document not is printed automatically, then the user has to print it manually.

  • Walkman beat light effect not working when throw is activated

    When I connect my phone to a bluetooth receiver and play music via walkman the light effects aren't working, only when I pause or change the track. It doesn't really disturb me but I'd like to know if there is a possibility of changing it or if it is what it is. Thanks

  • Output Tray 2 does not work when we print a smartforms document immediately

    Dear printer specialists,
    we've the following issue:
    We are printing the same smartforms document in different plants. One plant decided to get the print output into output tray 2 of the printer (lower tray), so we've copied the standard device type into a z-device type and made the SPAD set-up with a preselection for the tray 2 (lower tray). The new device type has been assigned to the output device. Now we made a test and released the print-output for an immediate printing. The output was printed as before in tray 1 (upper tray). When we restart the output from the spool (SP01), the output will be printed in tray 2. Why does this not work, when we print immediately ? Does anyone know how to solve this problem ? (We don't want to change the smartforms document.)

    What is the error that you are seeing? Try to login using another App like GameCenter or iMessage? Also try logging in to other Apps like Facebook to check if it is your Internet connection problem.

    IF it is a manufacturing defect and you bought the device from Apple or an authorized Apple retailer, then take it into Apple.

  • Partner function not working when creating PO with ref to PReq

    Partner function is not working when creating a Purchase Order with ref to a Purchase Requistion, Partner functions maintained in the vendor master are VN, OA & PI.
    But OA & PI are not appearing in the PO header partner tab when created with ref to PR.
    however it works when i create the PO directly ( without the PR ref )
    I am using the same material & Plant for both manual PO & PR to PO.
    Any idea what could be wrong .
    I have maintained the settings for schema groups for vendor master & purchasing doc in the partner determination.

    I have also an issue that seems similar to one you are discussing.
    When we use ME59N and create a PO with ref. from a PR (created from a sales order), the message determination works well, it reads the condition set in MN04 (condition records for messages), and creates a message (with output type for EDI , medium: 6, and partner function LS: Logical system). Message is created and idoc is sent.
    When we try with ME21N, ME21 and we create the PO with ref. to the same PR, either by entering manually the PR in the document overview of ME21N or by selecting the PR (without entering the PR number), i.e with date, the message is not created in the PO.
    Company code is assigned to purchase organization, and so is purchase organization to plant.
    Any idea why there is no automatic message determination in the case of the transaction: ME21N
    Note: If I try ME21N, and enter the output type and partner, manually, I receive a warning message
    VN006 (Partner XXXX does not exist for partner function LS). If I accept this warning message, then message is saved- idoc is sent. However I can not overcome the warning message, if it plays any role, because I can not assign partner function LS to the vendor.Then I receive message CZ 327 (Can not use this partner role).
    Any input is wellcome.

    Only i shaw those parameters which i used in my stored procedure, the parameter which i create dynamic using stored procedure
    is not shown to me when i referesh the report for viewing the results.
    I have used the same procedure which i mention below but can not seen the last screen which is shown in this .

    My question is that whether dynamic parameter is working with storedprocedure or not.
    When i added one table and try to fetch records using dyanmic prameters. after that i am not be able to find the dynamic parameter option when i referesh my report.
    One more thing when i try the static parameter for my report, the option i see when i referesh the screen.

    I have tested the issue step by step by following you description, while the first issue works well in my local environment. Based on my research, this can be caused by the lookup expression or it indeed return Male value based on the logic. If you use the
    expression below, it will indeed only return the Male record. So please try to double-check the record in the two datasets and the expression in your environment:
    =lookup(first(Fields!ProgramID.Value,"DataSet1"),Fields!ProgramID.Value,Fields!Gender.Value,"DataSet2")
    As to the second issue, please try to use the following expression:
    =Count(Lookup(fields!ProgramID.value,fields!ProgramID.value,fields!Gender.value,"DataSet2"))
    Besides, if this issue still exist, in order to trouble shoot this issue more efficiently, could you please post both the .rdl  file with all the size properties to us by the following E-mail address?  It is benefit for us to do further analysis.

  • Help! Javascript not working when object moved from one page to another!

    Hello all:
    I am new to Adobe Livecycle Designer (version 8.0). I have created a 3 page interactive pdf form with numerous objects (text fields, radio buttons, drop-down boxes, etc.), that our business wants to begin using soon.
    I am having difficulty with some of my Javascript not working with a few of my objects on page 2 of the form. Specifically, there is a drop-down box for "Country" on page 2 of my form. When the user selects, for example, "United States" from the list, I have Javascript that is supposed to change the "Currency" drop-down box rawValue to "US Dollars" accordingly (upon the change event).
    I think my Javascript syntax is proper, but I am not certain. Here is my simple Javascript associated with the "Country" drop-down box (Note: rawValue 80 = "United States" and rawValue 105 = "US Dollars"):
    form1.Page1.cmbContactInfoCountry::change: - (JavaScript, client) -
    if (this.rawValue == 80) {     
         cmbCurrency.rawValue = 105;
    This seems pretty straight forward and it WORKS when my "Country" drop-down box is moved to page 1 of the form, but it WILL NOT WORK when I move the "Country" drop-down box back to page 2 of the form (which is where it belongs).
    Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions? I have spent probably 6-8 hours racking my brain trying to figure out why it works when on one page, but it does not work when move to a different page. I am guessing that I may have corrupted something OR that I am not fully addressing the proper name of the object?
    Please help!

    Unfortunately, I am still having issues with getting Javasript for the cmbCountry object to work with the cmbCurrency object. I haved pasted my new Javascript below.
    JavaScript for cmbCountry object:

    I have checked the "Specify Item Values" checkbox of the cmbCurrency drop-down object and Value 1 = "US Dollars" and Value 2 = "Canadian Dollars".
    When I select "Canada" from the cmbCountry drop-down object, the rawValue of the cmbCurrency drop-down object is changed to "US Dollars" (when it is clearly defined as "Canadian Dollars"). When I select "United States" from the cmbCountry drop-down object, the rawValue of the cmbCurrency drop-down object stays blank for uknown reasons. Very strange.

  • Bookmarks not working in multi-document PDF application

    Why are bookmarks not working in multi-document PDF application when uploaded to the web? We created a multi-document PDF application. All bookmarks and links work on our systems. All work on the customer's system. They do not work when uploaded to the customers website. Their IT department says its an issue of relative vs. absolute addressing. We've created applications like this for years without running into this issue. Can't find anything about it in Acrobat Help. Can anyone help or lead me to help? Thx much, Sandy

    Have you tried opening the file in your browser to see if the bookmarks are working?  To open the file in your browser you need to do this:
    1) Launch your favorite browser;
    2) File >> Open >> Select your pdf file
