CFFILE Delete Error???

I am trying to delete a file from a directory and am getting
an error. The funny thing is that the file is actually deleting and
then throwing the error. Has anybody experienced this? I am on a
linux box running CFMX 7.
ERROR:
The destination
"/xxxxxx/xxxxxx/xxxxxx/xxxxxx/xxxxxx/xxxxxx/xxxxxx/1881_1.tif"
specified in the CFFILE tag is invalid.
The destination either does not exist or is not accessible by
this tag
Why is it saying destination? I do not get it?

I believe the "Destination" piece is just they way they refer
to the fiel you are deleting. I wouldnt dwell on it too much.
As for the error, verify that the account used to run the
ColdFusion service has access to that directory. It seems to be a
permissions error.

Now when I have to delete one record from the DBSTUDENT table, what i do is the following:
StudentHomeLocal.remove(studentModel.getStudentId());
The above statement throws an SQLException staying it can't update TeacherID in DBSTUDENT (PK of DBTEACHER, FK in DBSTUDENT) with NULL.
The same code is working perfectly well in Weblogic 8.
I even tried deleting the local directly by the following statement:
StudentLocal.remove();
But this too doesn't work.
I also tried by removing the <cascade-delete/> attribute from the ejb-jar.xml file and updating the 'on-delete cascade' option in the database, but this too did not work.
There is another option of <db-cascade-delete> in weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml that I tried but this too did not work.
In short, I have tried the following cases but to no avail:
1. Mention cascade delete in ejb-jar.xml and nothing mentioned in weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml.jar and in the database.
2. Mention nothing in ejb-jar.xml and nothing mentioned in weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml.jar but 'on cascade delete' mentioned in the database.
3. Mention cascade delete in ejb-jar.xml and db-cascade-delete mentioned in weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml.jar and 'on cascade delete' in the database.

PSA request deletion Error

Hi All,
I have a problem for which i am not able to get the proper solution from the threads.
Can anyone help me to solve this.
I am getting this error "" RSDU_TABLE_DROP_PARTITION_MSS Error while creating the clone table /BIC/B0000183000"
while deleting request from the psa.
This error i am getting because i have deleted the data from the psa table from the tcode se14, but the requests are still there in the request. There is no data in the psa but the request exists.
Now i want to delete the empty request, because i am scheduling the process chain to delete all request older than 3 days. But because of this empty request, i am getting the error while scheduling the process chain.
I also tried to delete the psa data from rsa1old but to no sucess.
Can anyone help me to solve this issue.

1 - Run the report - SAP_DROP_TMPTABLES.
2 - Run the report - RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY_MS.
You can Check details for the report execution from the note : 1063105 - Program "RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY /_MS"
3. You can also check the note - 1299865 - DB Shadow tables with '@k' name (e.g /BIC/B0000201@k0).

Update install and delete error says itunes is on a network unavailable. I also upgraded Itunes and now it won't recognize my Ipad touch

I upgraded Itunes about a month ago and since then It does not recognize my Ipod and then I tried to update again and it won't upgrade. The error message says it's on a unavailable network path not found. So I tried to get tech support they told me to delete and start over. I went through my control panel and it gave me the same network error and would not delete the software. I am beyond frazzeled over this. Please help.

Essentially 'b noir' is correct, it will be relating to the .msi file that is, for lack of a better word, screwed. It's a pretty long process in order to cleanly remove and redownload the correct file.
Not really a long process if you can hunt down a copy of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. If you have that installed and working, then so long as you know which particular msi (or msis) are being complained about, you can get past the issue in most cases pretty quickly. For example, for an itunes.msi message see:

File read or delete error in oracle jca adapter is not being caught in java

I am using oracle JCA file adapter to read and process file and that jca is being used in OSB. This is working fine. But if the file is not in proper format or file is alredy opened,jca is throwing error on console and control is not going to OSB. I have to log this error in database either by OSB or before OSB using EJB. I have inserted valve in jca for preprocessing. But in the any method of abstract valve , i am not getting able to access the error thrown by jca in case of invalid xml file. If i am able to fetch error message in execute method or any other message of AbstractValve, that error may be sent to database using EJB that not able to get the error message. Please let me know if there is any way to get the errors by jca in java code.

In the case of error while reading or deleting file(if file is not in write format or opened or not accessible), control is not going to OSB. from JCA default error handling mechanism is throwing error to console. That's why i tried with inserting valve in jca adapter.

Deleting error messages in PI 7.1

Hi ALL,
I cancelled system error messages from Message monitoring of RWB I need to know what happens to that message is that completely removed from the tables if yes how does it happen.
Is there any other method of removing messages which are error and successfully processed...I am told there is a method of archiving and deletion of messages can you send some document for that we are using PI 7.1.
What will be the retention period of messages ideally.?

The archiving and deletion of messages happens from the DB and the configuration is the same as it happened for lower versions.
So the document for PI7.0 should hold good for PI7.1 also.

Deleting error messages in ABAP stack and JAVA stack

found some useful answers here about deleting messages
which are successfully delivered!
What I miss is an answer about:
a) Error messages in RWB
In Component monitoring -> Archiving you can plan a job to delete messages in status "successful" or "Cancelled with errors".
To cancel jobs you have to do this one by one. With reaction time from page manual cancellation needs hours for 100 messages (Ok, there is a multiple selection button you can use to tag per list screen!).
Now I have lots of message here
- System error
- to be delivered
- cancelled with errors (from system, special case, see next question)
ready to be erased (yes, sure about that!)
Is this the only way here to proceed?
Other question: looks like there is a default time frame for the job which looks like it is more than two months for "successful". "Cancelled with errors" is only deleted from list when reaching this status with the available button "Cancel" but not for messages with status "Cancelled with errors" set by the system.
Any chance to change that time frame.
And what about the messages "Cancelled...." by the system?
b) ABAP stack
OK, delete job is running. But looks like there is a default time frame "delete older than 2 months" (different from a! where it is more than 2 months)
I tried to delete some error messages with function "Cancel message with errors".
Now these messages are cancelled in SXMB_MONI (displayed with different status sign "Pencil").
Starting deletion job has no effect on them. Why? Because they are cancelled today and are not considered by the time frame of the deletion job?
Any help is appreciated!
(This tool is confusing me more and more! )

Namespace deletion error for ghost objects

Hi people.
I need to remove a namespace in ESR.
I have first deleted all objects and activated it and then I tried to remove the namespace from the Namespace Definition List.
After removed the namespace item and saving the change, I receive the following error:
Cannot save object Namespace Definition
Namespace cannot be deleted since the software component version still contains objects in namespace http://www.sapcons.com/Edm_EE/
Delete the objects first
In fact, running the Export functionality and saving the summary result in a file I have a list of objects but, at this point, I don't know how to delete. Could be a cache problem? I cleaned all cache available in Administration web page but without result.
Could someone help me?

Double clicking the software component, delete all the namespaces present in the software component, and do not save it.
Now delete all the default datatypes in all the namespaces present in the software component and now save the software component and activate the changes.
Now double clicking the software component> Goto Software component version menu> from the drop down select the delete option. this will delete the software component from IR.
Now goto SLD and select the software component and remove it.
Then clear the SLD cache. Now the software component will be deleted.

We are using Z transaction to update Wbs element data to sales order line item through BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE. After EHP6 upgrade while updating Wbs element data to old sales orders(Created before EHP6 upgrade) we are getting You cannot select assembly order < order number> for deletion (V1 748) error in BAPI return table, For multiple Sales order run.
But if we run the same order individually it is getting processed successfully. W e are passing the same values in individual and multiple case.
We debugged the BAPI and found one more error related to Authorization, But BAPI return table is giving different error (V1 748)message. Please help us in finding the issue.

Tabular form - Multi row delete error

Apex 4.0.2
We have a simple CRUD type of application on a bunch of tables built using Apex v1.6 that has, over the years, been upgraded to v4.0.2 and it is working mostly fine. It uses all out-of-the-box standard components, forms, classic reports, nothing too fancy. Recently one of the tabular forms started to misbehave, the multi-row-delete process raises a No Data Found error. The tabular form is based on a view with a INSTEAD OF trigger to handle the DML. Manually deleting the row in SQL*Plus works fine delete from mytab here pk_id = :pk_id but selecting the same row in Apex and clicking Delete raises the error.
How does one go about troubleshooting & fixing this sort of thing? I tried re-saving the region in the Builder, exporting/importing the entire app, nothing. Running in Debug mode doesn't really provide any additional information, just that the MRD process failed. Tabular forms are the most frustrating, opaque component in Apex, wish they were easier to troubleshoot.
Any ideas?

By given us a bit more information :)
• Is it a manual Tabular Form (using the ITEM API) or a wizard created one?
• Are the Insert/Update operations work correctly? If not, what is the type of your PK column(s)?
• If the problem is limited to the Delete operation, maybe the problem lies with the checkbox column. Are you sure that on page it is rendered as the f01 column?
• As triggers are involved, can you save the PK that the trigger sees? Is it the expected value?
• Are there any other processes that are fired before the DML process? If so, maybe the problem is with them. You can temporarily disable them and see if it change anything.

Yes, I agree. However, I believe that 4.1 made some serious advancement where Tabular Form is concerned. Having simplified Tabular Form related Validations and Process should make things easier, and as a result, prone to less errors. Still, the main problem is that the type of error you are talking about is usually the result of metadata problems and these are indeed very hard to track.

Infopackage deleted - error in process chain

Helle experts,
I have a problem in process chain.
Today the log advices an error because an Infopackage (that is used in the chain) was deleted yesterday; in fact, in the chain there is an other name for the Infopackage (first question: is this automatically generated?).
It seems that none deleted it.
Can you help me, please?

I think that the problem can be resolved with the creation of a new Infopackage with the same features of the precedent, but I don't understand the cause of the problem.

you can check in the log what went wrong for this InfoPackage: transaction SLG1, object RSSM, subobject SDL, external ID = *.
What kind of name do you have in your chain? Is it a generated name or a name one of you typed for the IPack.
In a chain some of the packages are generated automatically depending on the process you drag in your chain.
Creating a new IPack with the same name would work I think, if the package in your chain is not a generated one. If it is a generated IPack, then create a new IPack and drag it in your chain.

Removing/Deleting Errored Confirmations from SRM 5.0 EC

Hi,
I would like to know how people remove or delete SRM (5.0) Confirmations that end up failing (Error in Process) in the replication process.
We have scenarios where our end users will create multiple SRM Confirmations for the same reference document if the initial one fails in the transfer process. The if they canu2019t figure out why they are failing, will resort to ML81N in the backend system to complete the process.
The end result is we have multiple SRM u2018Error in Processu2019 confirmations for the PO that we would like to remove from the SRM system.
We havenu2019t found a standard way of removing them from the system, is there a method we could use to remove/delete them?

thank you for your suggestion.
I coded up a program using the function module and it can be used to delete Confirmations.
The thing that I'm unsure of and worried about is that if I delete the errored Confirmation from the system using this low level function module I'm bypassing application business logic that maintains the document integrity.
Have you used this technique to deal with this type of a problem or are you just saying that this function module is available to delete confirmations?
If these 'Errored' confirmations didn't create any documents/transactions in the backend system and since they appear to not be associated with the PO and item in the PO Item Follow-on Documents display, then are they nothing more that a document that is stuck in limbo due to it's errored status and have no relevant value to the process?
If yes, then is that the only place that the document needs to be deleted from?

Issue on deleting error message in WebUI

Hi Experts,
I have deleted one standard error message in DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT with some condition in header level but I am having below issues.
Issue one :
Now error is not showing in webui at header overview screen but allocated space for that error message is showing in output screen with white space.
Please help me how to remove that space.
Issue two:
When I open Item overview screen, again that message is showing in Item overview screen.
I am using the below code to delete the message and its successfully deleting the message but when I switch to other screen its again showing.
Please help me how to delete it completely on one go.

Purchasing Groups deleted: Errors when processing related documents

Hi Gurus,
We are on SRM 7 and we are currently facing an issue when processing documents which Purchasing Groups have been deleted after thee procurement documents were created
In our case, when a PGroups is deleted and unassigned, an interfase from HR is raised and i the SRM PPOMA the Pgroup is not valid anymore and unassigned from the Purchasing Organization.
Once this happens, we face a blocking issue for all the documents created with Purchasing Groups that has been deleted.
These documents cannot be processed anymore and and error saying that Purchasing group is not assigned to purchasing organization... is raised.
Currently we are manually mantaining the validity of the Purchasing Group via PPOMA and transaction PP01. We put the validity to unlimited and the documents can be processed again.
Anyway we would like to avoid this manual update and to have a false information in te system where the PGroup will be shown as valid while it has been deleted in the past.
Could you please advise on the best solution on it?

Thank you both for your responses and my apologies on my delayed response.
I have this POA set to run the indexing continuously, so it's generating large logs.
From the log entries, it looks as if the indexing process repeats itself anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
I base this on when I see the log repeating the userxxx.db file names.
When I look at the information for my single post office, it shows 559 users, 126 resources and a total mailbox count of 565.
I'm not sure how that all works out.
To answer your questions, Laura:
The logs show the error in relation to 527 out of 559 userxxx.db files.
There are 181 userxxx.db and 24 files with names like pu3a0101.db that do not return an 8210 error. All of those files consistently show a zero count after the index process, e.g., Updating QuickFinder index: userxxx.db (0).
The error or lack of error is consistent. It occurs on the same 527 files and does not occur on the same 181 files every time.
The one clue I've found to the puxx0101.db files was a forum post from back in 2006, where Dave Parkes identifies them as being associated with shared folders.
To answer your question, Howard:
I have a fair number of users with large attachments and high item counts, but nowhere near what I'm am seeing the 8210 errors on.

PSA deletion error

Diagnosis
In table RSTSODSPART you selected all the requests of a partition to be deleted logically. Some entries partno = 0 still exist in the partition. Therefore the partition is not deleted.
System Response
The system outputs an error when deleting the partition.
Procedure&
Check the table for data consistency.
I have checked the table RSTSODSPART , there is no such entry with part no = 0 ..only entry i found for this datasource is with partno = 2. Please advice how to resolve this issue !!

It looks like there are inconsistant entries in the table RSTSODSREQUEST which needs to be delelted (with SE16 debugging) After that, you can execute report RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY for the above PSA. This report detects the request as inconsistent and can remove it then.
Try using transaction for SE14 for the deletion of Partition.
Also Execute the 'RSAR_PSA_PARTITION_CHECK' program in repair mode (REPAIR = X) if you are prompted to do so in the second row of the log. SAP recommends that you execute the 'RSAR_PSA_PARTITION_CHECK' program in the background.
