Cfldap modify query to add members to group

Hi,
I am trying to add new members to the group using cfldap modify query.
i am able replace with one member with the other but the requirement is like that we supposed to add new member with the existing one.
query that i have used is
<cfldap
     ACTION="modify"
                      Modifytype="REPLACE"
                      DN="#groupdn#"
                      ATTRIBUTES="MEMBER=#existingmembers#, cn=XXX, ou=xxx,o=xxxx"
                      separator="|"
                      secure="#secure#"
                      server="#ldapServer#"
                      username="#ldapuser#"
                      password="#ldapPassword#"
                      port="#ldapPort#"
                     >
It is giving syntax violation error.
please help me get it resolved.
Thanks in advance.

Just to add to the query above, if you want to see request group along with request_group_id you do join as follows
SELECT frv.responsibility_name
,frg.request_group_name
FROM fnd_request_groups frg,
fnd_request_group_units frgu,
fnd_responsibility_vl frv
WHERE 1 = 1
AND frgu.request_group_id = frg.request_group_id
AND frv.request_group_id = frg.request_group_id
ORDER BY responsibility_name

  • Grant access to help desk users to add members to distribution and security groups

    Hello,
    I am trying to create a set of help desk users that has full access to add or remove members from distribution and security groups as well as update users.  We want it to bypass owner approval and essentially allow this group to add or remove members
    in the FIM Portal and flow it down to ADS.
    This obviously works fine if one is a member of the Administrators set, but we want a second tier of power users with limitied rights compared to FIM Admins.  We have added the help desk team to the  Security Group Users and Group Users set as
    well as MPR "Security group management: Users can read selected attributes of group resources".
    The help desk users can update users in the Portal with no issue.  The can search groups with no issue but when they try to add members to a group they get the error "Access Denied".
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    I'm having very similar problem - I have users with delegated right to modify group membership only. User can add someone to group and it works fine, but when the same user is trying to remove and user from a group (even if this is the same user
    which was added a minute ago) he gets Access Denied:
    The
    request included members which the requestor is not authorized
    to add and/or remove from this group."
    It is caused by default MPR:
    Group management workflow: Validate requestor on remove member
    Question is how this activity validates this request - any insight?

  • Querying for the members of a group using the PRC

    I've been combing through the PRC API for a way to query for the members of a group (not the ACL, but the member users and groups).
    I can't find anything that seems to do this for Plumtree 5.0x using the PRC. Am I missing something or is this just not implemented? Seems like a major oversight to me. If any Plumtreevians are listening, can I add a feature request for those methods in your next release of the WS Server?
    Thanks!

  • Add/Remove members from groups

    Does anyone have a sample ldif entry to add/remove members from groups?

    I am not exactly getting what you said here.
    Basically if your intention is to rename RDN and reflect the changes in the group membership, you have to do totally 2 operations:
    1) update your uid on the user entries.
    2) update your membership on the group entry: remove the uid first, then add it:
    updateM.ldif
    dn: cn=groupA,ou=groups,ou=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    changetype: modify
    delete: uniqueMember
    uniqueMember: uid=1111,ou=people,ou=xxxxxxxx
    add: uniqueMember
    uniquMember: uid=zz1111,ou=people,ou=xxxxxxx
    save it
    run:
    ldapmodify -v -D xxx -w xxx -h xxx -p xxx -f <PATH>/updateM.ldif

  • Can not add members to a Group as Group Administrator

    Hi,
    My collegue has created a Group 'WE_PM_group' and added me to that Group with role 'Group Administrator'.
    But when I connect to the 'Create Group Or Add New Members' tool, then after SSO and acknowledging the 'read and understood Beehive Online Guidelines', it does not show the 'WE_PM_group' (it shows no Groups) and I can only Create a group.
    My question : how can I add members to the Group that my collegue created and for which I am Group Administrator ?
    Note : When I connect to the BeehiveOnline Administration Tool, I indeed see my e-mail address within the Group 'WE_PM_group' and with the correct role (Group Administrator)
    Thanks for your help,
    Peter

    If you go to the APEX app and have any group - like your Administrator - you will have a list of group - each of them is a hyperlink. Click on the group and the Group settings will be displayed - one of the fields is the Manager email. Get him/her to puit your email in that field, separated by a comma, and you are good to go.

    Hi,
    FieldPoint Explorer is no longer used to configure FieldPoint systems. However, I do not think that the configuring your system in FieldPoint Explorer is causing the error.
    FieldPoint systems are now setup in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX).  Information on setting up FieldPoint systems in MAX can be found in the MAX help under: Installed Products>> FieldPoint. Also, I recommend upgrading to the latest FieldPoint driver and version of MAX.  The FieldPoint VI's will be slightly different when you upgrade, so there is a good chance that this will eliminate the error.

  • How to add group managers who will be able to add members?

    I go to beehiveonline.oracle.com, select "Create group or add members", click through to page with Group Name, Add new members, View members, etc. I click on name of group to arrive to "Group Edit" page, where I add group manager emails. I enter new group manager emails (Oracle employees) and click "Save" - it takes me back a page as if it saved. But how do I confirm that the group managers were added? Going again to the Group Edit screen it expected to see the new email addresses listed at bottom of page below entry field, but they are not added there.

    Hi,
    If you are using IE then there is problem in this browser that it takes data from browser cache sometimes tht's why showing last time details although they are updated. To solve the problem try following steps in IE:
    1. open 'Tools' tab in IE
    2. click last option 'Internet Options'
    3. click 'General' Tab (first tab)
    4. In this second header is 'browsing history'
    5. click on 'Settings'
    6. in Settings you can see list of options for 'check for new versions of stored pages'
    7. from this list select the radio button corresponding to 'Every time I visit the webpage'

  • Add User to Group Behavior

    Hi all
    I found
    this post that explains the same issue I'm having, but the marked answer isn't relevant to my environment. I've built a user creation runbook, using 2012 R2 and this
    Active Directory Integration Pack. Everything works properly, except I'm getting strange security log events when using the Add User to Group activity.
    In one of the tests, I added a single user that was being created to about 100 different groups. Let's say one group has 50 members. When the user gets added to that group, the security audit shows that 50 users were removed from the group, and then those
    50 users were added back plus my new user. It shows this activity for every group that the user was added to. I get the following two actions for every member of the group:
    Member '-' was removed from 'Domain\Group' by 'Domain\User' on...
    Member 'DN of Member' was added to 'Domain\Group'...
    This is a problem because it makes our audit reports and notifications worthless since we'd have to read through all the noise to see an actual anomaly. I'm also concerned that if users are actually being removed and re-added to those groups, that there
    could be some consequences of that that we aren't seeing yet (i.e. application access interruptions, or what if the connection to AD is lost after removing the users but before adding them back in). Although I should say I'm not convinced that the users are
    actually being removed because as you can see above, no member information is recorded on the removal, and all the removals and additions have the same exact time stamp meaning they occurred within 1 second, which seems pretty fast given that some of our groups
    are large.
    Is this the intended behavior of the Add User to Group activity? If so, is there a workaround I can use to avoid this behavior? The next thing I'll try is using PowerShell to add the user to the group, but this option isn't ideal since the runbook will be
    managed by users who are not that familiar with scripting, so I'd like the solution to contain as little as possible.
    Thanks

      END LOOP;
    END;I am successfully being able to add 1 member (p_c001). But I am not being able to figure out how to add other members ie, p_c002,p_c003 to the collection TEST
    Thanks for the help!
    Regards,
    Ved

    Hi Ved,
    to add members to a collection you should use this command:
    apex_collection.add_member(
    p_collection_name => 'Test',
    p_c001 => APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i),
    p_c002 => APEX_APPLICATION.G_F02(i),
    p_c003 => APEX_APPLICATION.G_F03(i)
    Question
    - the column APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01, does it contain rownum or an ID of the primary key of the table?
    if pk then you have to change the code like this:
    apex_collection.add_member(
    p_collection_name => 'Test',
    p_c001 => APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i),
    p_c002 => APEX_APPLICATION.G_F02(APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i)),
    p_c003 => APEX_APPLICATION.G_F03(APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i))
    TIPP
    - you should use upper case names for your collection then you are not running into an error (not finding collection), because when you query your collection you would enter something like:
    SELECT c001 test1, c002 test2, c003 test3
    FROM APEX_collections
    WHERE collection_name = collection_name
    the name of your collection is always changes to upper case when creating the collection.
    so in any query for selecting rows of your collection you have to use the upper case of your collection_name,
    regards,
    Denise

  • How to add users to group which is present in another AD domain?

    Hi,
    Using JNDI how to add user as a member of group which is present in another AD domain?
    For example: In AD forest test.com their are two domain a.test.com and b.test.com. Group is present in a.test.com and I want to add user present in b.test.com as a member of the group.
    Any pointer around this would be great help.

    See the below link to get an idea on group types.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755692(v=ws.10).aspx
    If the group is a universal group, you can just add members similar to local group even if user and group are in different domains. That is by setting the member attribute of the group.

  • Cannot add user to group eventhough i have full access

    i cannot add users to groups in subsite even i am in the owners group of the subsite

    Check the settings of the group itself.  By default the only person who can add users to a group is the person who created the group.  I normally change the group settings so the group is owned by the Site collection root site owners group.  That
    way any of those users can modify the membership of the group.
