Change ATO item attributes

Hello All,
I'm trying to change item attributes for an ATO Configuration item.
According to the following link, these are Hard Coded item attributes:

Is there anyway to change one of these fields, so the new configured item will be created with a different item attribute, without changing the package?

It needs customization. But why do you want to change them? If we understand the requirement I believe I can give a try to explain.

    Is WF_ENGINE.AddItem API , supported to create document type Item attributes dynamically ? If yes how do we set the display name of the attribute. If no then is there is any other method to dynamically create document tyoe item attribute?

    If the document is stored on a file system, then I would replace the message body with a PL/SQL document which includes links to the files as straightforward URLs. There would be no need to include them in the Workflow in any way. For example, I recently worked with a client where all the (file) attachments made within eBusiness Suite were then migrated into Oracle Universal Content Management and the attachment was replaced with a URL to the new document. Any notifications now just reference the URL link to the document within the document management system in an HTML notification. While the processing is going on, the user is given the list of files that exist as attachments, but no links because the document is being processed by the management system.
    If the attachments are going to be stored in Workflow as documents, you won't be able to change the display name though - display name is set for the attribute on the message, not for each specific notification. Changing the value of the display name for the message would impact all notifications that use that message, which isn't what you want.
    What you need is to dynamically build the notification (either using PL/SQL or OA Framework) and include a list of attachments in the notification. This may be a direct link to the document (either in a document management system or on a file system somewhere) that you can render as a URL, or a link to code that can retrieve the document from the database and serve that to the user. This is not a straightforward piece of work.
    If this is purely internal, you might be better off having a custom form / screen which displays the different documents, and link to that from the notification. Or you could link to a standard form for the transaction and have the users pick up the attachments directly from the transaction.

    1. Always, replacing an existing value in session state
    2. Only when current value in session state is null.

    So are you saying that this behaviour is different in v1.6?Yes. Otherwise the PPR stuff wouldn't work when those requests referenced uncommitted session state.
    You mean, "will NOT be able to ..."No, it will be able to see the value of the item (in uncommitted session state). That's the change from 1.6.
    What is an example of a "session-state committing source method"? Code that not only sets the source of the item for display but as a side-effect cause update_cache_with_write to occur for that item or for any other item(s). For example a PL/SQL Function source type that returns the source value and also does :P1_ITEM := 'value'; .

    I read in forum only that If we define more item attributes then performance of WF decreases.
    But I don't no more means how much i.e. After how many Item Attr. performance of WF decreases?

    I know what is the best pracitce, but what is the rationale behind it? I mean the purpose of this job is to generate the log. The log is needed only for review. We are not reviewing the log every hour, we do this every week. Is there any other reason behind this?
    I`ll tell you why we use Firefighter a lot. We are operating in a landscape with lots of modules, one of our R/3 productive environments (we have different releases) has more than 15 000 end-users, we have 250 support users. Due to different reasons it is common for the consultants to access change/process transactions in order to troubleshoot issues. Where it is possible they are using their regular IDs for simulating a problem, but as you know some transactions can`t be restricted in such detail, so if a support user needs to simulate something in such transaction it has to go through FF, because this is potential risk of changing of data in the system.
    Also, have you heard of an effective implementation of Firefighter for non-R/3 modules.(APO, BW, CRM, SRM). I`m with the impression that it can be only effective for R/3 systems where change documents are generated, for different establishmnts (BW - infocubes) FF isnt relevant at all.

  • Changing list item limit has broken row hover effect

    I have created a list and really like the way when you move your mouse of the an item the row highlights, the list I have has about 80 items and I wanted to show them all on the same page so I changed the item limit of the list to 80.
    The problem is now the blue row hover effect is not working, how do I bring it back?

    "tr" with the attribute of "ms-itmhover" (tr.ms-itmhover) looks like the best bet... especially because of its name.
    When the item limit is 49 or below, the class for the tr is 'class="ms-itmHoverEnabled ms-itmhover"'. When 50 and over, the class is just 'class="ms-itmhover". So maybe a better solution is to use jQuery to find tr.ms-itmhover and
    add  ms-itmHoverEnabled.

    i have item xxx onhand QTY 100 QTY Reservable 100
    i create a sales order for this item QTY 50
    and i book the order
    now the line status is Supply Eligible
    i don't need to Create Supply Order - Eligible
    i don't need to run wip order because i have this QTY in my subinventory
    i think the line status must be Awaiting Shipping
    how i can change the line status to Awaiting Shipping for ATO item when i have onhand QTY in subinventory equal or less than qty in sales order ?
    i need only run Create Supply Order - Eligible when i don't have onhand in my subinventory

    I'm trying to change the "groupType" attribute, of a user group object, from 'Distribution' to 'Security' (and the group scope is set to 'Global').
    The CAD bit mask value needed would be: 0x80000002 (Decimal -2147483646).
    How to change/modify the "groupType" attribute for this user group object?

    In Item Master Form, we have noticed Item field and description field. My questions are as follows:
    Q1) How to know the field is flex field or not? When we examine the field, we are not sure whether the field is flex or not.
    There are 2 types of flexfields. Key Flexfield (such as the item number itself) and descriptive flexfields. Descriptive Flexfields are the fields that pop up when you click on the beer mug next to the description.
    Q2) Is Item Field a flex field? If yes how to create Item field as segment base (with List of Values as my example mentioned above). If Item field is not flex field can we make it Flex field without customization
    Item # is a key flexfield. You define a value set and assign the value set to the Item KFF segment1. Typically, the value set would simply define how many characters can it have, if it will have numbers only etc.
    Q3) Is Description a flex field? It appear to us it is flex field. If yes how to change the segments of that, and make them as list of values as my example above.

    Q4) In Item catalog, we have seen “Catalog Group”, is this a flex field?

    Q5) In the Item catalog form, on the Catalog Group. We have seen some descriptive elements. These are look like attributes of the Item, and we have seen these are link with Catalog Group. My question is, how can we make these Descriptive elements as List of Values? Which means we don’t want to each time type the values rather select the values. So this will solve our problems as example I mentioned above.
    There is no out of the box way to attach LOV to Catalog element values.
    It is good that you are trying on your own but I would suggest brining in a good consultant who can make this easier and faster for you.

    ASCP Release 11i10 included a significant number of enhancements related to master scheduling, two level scheduling, and hub & spoke processes. At that time, Oracle was also planning the release of a major new product offering Distribution Planning (also called Deployment planning), this was introduced in Release 12. As part of these improvements, Oracle changed the traditional name for DRP plans to MPP (Master Production Plans) to avoid any confusion with the newly created DRP product. The old functionality of having multiple plans work together (DRP,MPS,MRP) in a chained fashion still works, but the names are now (MPP,MPS,MRP)
    The item attributes were changed as shown below:
    - Not Planned
    - MRP Planning
    - MPS Planning
    - MRP/MPP Planned
    - MPS/MPP Planned <<-- formerly MPS/DRP planned
    - MPP Planned <<-- formerly DRP planned
    These attributes have the same meaning as before and a full description can be found in the Oracle MRP/Master Scheduling User Guide

    I am working on AFS. In the sales order for which delivery has not been created, system is not allowing to change the item category. From TAN to TAQ.
    I have maintained the Manual item category in VOV4. Still the item category field in sales order is in grey mode.
    Please let me now how to make it editable.

    Can you please check if that item has any associated Purchase Requisitions?
    Standars SAP does allow change of item category if alternative item categories are configured and subsequent document are not yet created.

    There are two possible ways:
    1. In Item Caterogy Determination remove the Manual Item Categories so that system will determine the Item Category only from defined options.
    2. Use T-SHDO - create Screen Variant & make the item Category Feild as Display only.

    with the help of  T180-TRTYP field you know if that doc has been changed or created.
    If it is not equal to H it is changed. H means created.
    pass the TCODE of Sched Agreement and check this field.
    You can use the CDHDR and CDPOS table s to get the changed values of new item.

  • Unable to change the item category in existing Scheduling Agreement

    HI,
    I have a schedule agreement where there are already list of line items but saved without the appropriate item category field in all of the line items. Now I see that the Item category column is greyed out & unable to edit or change thru ME32 T.code.
    I am already aware that deleting the item codes & adding again with resolve the issue. But when try to delete, those codes shows that they have GR & PO not completed one.
    My question is :
    Is there a way to edit/change the Item category field without deleting the item?
    Whethere is it possible to do it in bulk update for group of items in SA?
    If it is possible, pls provide how to do it with steps.
    Kindly advice.

    Please try using MASS tcode with object BUS2013
    or MEMASSSA
    Its a direct table update where you can select the Table Item and Field Item category and input the document number to change the value os item category and try with one sample data then do it in mass.
    Before cahngin the item categry Please make sure all the dependancies are met then nly the system will allow you to save.
    Refer for Mass upload function it is common for all

  • Cannot delete login item "You cannot change this item because it's managed by your system administrator"

    We migrated a server (ldap and file serving) to some new machines, which have new names.  We've got all of the login and file sharing functionality working on the new machines, but wherever we have a mount of a share in the Login Items for a user, we can't get the old machine out of the Login Items.  It's not fatal, but it does make login take a lot longer because it has to fail first.
    We can mount the share from the new server, and save THAT in a NEW Login Item just fine -- it's just that when you click on the old defunct one the minus sign is greyed out, and the mouseover says "You cannot change this item because it's managed by your system administrator."  There is a yellow triangle next to the item in the list.  Went into the user's ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginitems.plist and it's not in the file.  The /Library/Preferences don't have anything that looks like a plist of the right name.
    Where do I find it and how do I get rid of it?

    In response to ManishBhatt94's post today, I may have some information that may be useful to you. I called Microsoft's 800-642-7676 and spoke with a technical representative with questions pertaining to my particular issue. I also have friend that has the
    same issue with her computer running windows 8. A representative from my ISP told me how to go into 1)Tools, 2)Internet Options, 3)Connections, 4)LAN settings and uncheck the proxy settings box. However after restarting or shutting down my computer it reappears.
    It will also reappears while I play games on Facebook not allowing me continue until I go back into the proxy settings in LAN and uncheck the box AGAIN and AGAIN. A local owner of a computer repair shop told my friend that it was a virus. After speaking with
    Microsoft today I was told the same thing/it was more than likely a virus on my personal PC at home. As most people likely do,  I use wireless internet in my home on the affected computer. Solution; as suggested by Microsoft rep was to have the virus
    professionally removed either by someone or to use their remote service for a fee of $149 which comes with several guarantees and does not require you to re-install software or documents. I hope that my response was of some help to you. I also kept trying
    to fix this problem but wasted a lot of time. He also suggested to Google the proxy problem to see if ANYONE has any alternatives to fixing this problem!
