Change e-mail attachment name dynamic in Broadcaster

Hi,
I want to send an e-mail to multiple recipient by the setting "e-mail bursting" in broadcaster. Each e-mail has an attachment (pdf-document).
Is it possible, to change the name of the attachment dynamic, when sending the mail to the different recipients (example:
recipient 1: recipient1.pdf,
recipient 2: recipient2.pdf,
and so on)
I tried a solution with text variables, but it didn't work.
Regards,
Tim Jaschik

Hi,
thanks for your fast answer. But my problem is to change the attachment name of the e-mail, not to schedule the e-mail.
So, is there no possibility to control the process which creates the attachment name?
Regards,
Tim

  • After changing a mail list name in Server end, users can't see the update in outlook client

    Dear all,
This is a real issue. I am a Help-desk in a global company and after changing a mail list name in Server end, users can't see the update in outlook client. Even I download Offline address book in full detail, user still can't see the change in her outlook.
Does anyone know how to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Franklin hong

    Hi,
Would you please detail what you did by "changing a mail list name in Server end"? What is the mail list and what server?
If you switch to Online Mode instead of Cached Exchange Mode, does the user see the change?

  • Java Mapping: payload as mail attachment and dynamic file name .

    Hi,
I have written this piece of java code.
The code includes XPATH for fetching dynamic filename and the copysource( in, out ) to copy the content of payload as mail attchment.
The code seems to work fine, when either of the functionality is implemented.
but when both are implemented together ie parsing for xpath then again parsing to copy payload, then it doesnt executes the latter path i.e the payload is not fetched in the attachment.

In the above case.. look at "ItemDeliveryReferenceType="! ARN">DAL"
the exclamation mark before value "ARN is unwanted, which leads to improper XML formation.
Cant figure out why is this coming.

  • E-mail Attachment Name Changes

I have a following problem with mail attachments: When I drag the attachment from my mail window onto my desktop, the attachment name changes to "unknown". So for example, "cat.jpg" would become "unknown.jpg". To make this a bit more complicated, the problem is a bit random and from this it follows that sometimes the file keeps the original and correct file name and sometimes it changes it. Also, this problem occurs only when I drag the attachment (which normally is image) from email window, but if I pull the attachment from above the message window, where it has a little arrow and it shows all the attachment icons, this problem does not happen. I am running Tiger and Mail 2.1. It would we really great if you could take a sec to answer this if you have any idea at all what this problem might to be. Thanks!
    Best, Rauno

Hi Rauno, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Hmmm, since it's random, might try this...
Quit Mail, then In your home folder, try moving this +folder & file+ to the Desktop then reboot...
First, Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these files to the Desktop.
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail
    Move to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
You can always move them back if it doesn't help.

  • Need to get the Mail attachment name as it is to the receiver file adapter

I am doing a Mail to File scenario. I need to get the attachment from the mail and store it on the file server. I am using the PayloadSwap bean in the sender mail adapter. My requirement is to carry forward the attachement name as it is to the receiver file adapter side and store the file with the same name.
Did any one try doing this? I was looking at developing an adapter module but got struck as I could not find whether the attachement name is stored in the XI payload after it has got swapped using the swap bean.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Oops pressed the send key. Take two.
This is becoming a damn nightmare. When I run the adapter I am getting ModuleExceptions. Can you pass your eyes over these Java config settings to see what I am doing wrong. • Mail Attachment Name

    Hi,
I am using File to Mail scenario. There is no mapping, it uses dummy Interfaces. I have Adapter Module at the Receiver in Mail to dynamically get the filename and set it as the attachment name.
Following is the module code. The problem with the code is I get 2 attachments in the mail, One with proper file name as desired and the 2nd attachment as "Untitled.xml". Need to get rid of this Untitled.xml. Note: Keep attachments is Checked as I need the file in attachment.
    Message msg = (Message) inputModuleData.getPrincipalData();

  • Gmail access through Mail : Attachment name and extension terminated

When I try to send an attachment through Gmail using Mail, if the attachment names have more than one word with spaces in them, the entire name is terminated to the first few letters before the space and the file extension is lost too; so the recipients end up having incomplete file names without any extension. The files transfer perfectly and once the extensions are put in, they open without a problem. Receiving attachments where the names have spaces etc. is not a problem at my end though.
Any idea what I should tweak?
    Thanks.

All updates are installed regularly, so I am indeed at the newest version of all available software. I just haven't updated my signature here.
And the name of the attachment is mangled only when I use the client to send an attachment to any other Gmail account ( both Windows or Mac, accessed either through a client or directly at the receiving end). The same email cc'd to my school address shows the entire file name. And if I send the email through Gmail directly, then it is fine too, as I mentioned.

  • Change PO Email Attachment Name

    Hi Guys,
I've implemented SAP Note 191470 to change the subject line and the attachment name to contain the PO number. I was successful in changing the subject line but not the attachment name. Currently, the attachment name is defaulted by SAP to 'Print data'.
    In the note, it states:
Note that the values from the mail title are used to create the description for the attachment.
I've maintained the mail title in the condition record for the output type on the 'Communication method' tab page in the 'Cover Page Text' field but to no avail. I'm probably missing a step.
I did my due diligence by searching the internet but I haven't found any solution.
Any help would definitely be appreciated. <removed by moderator>
    Thanks in advance,
    Derick

Have a look into this  KBA it is listed under FI, but you can try if the same solution would work for you too: 1702035 - How to change the attachment name in the mail for correspondence

  • Mail - Is it possible to change length of attachment name displayed in message??

Mail messages show that there is an attachment both in the header and in the body of the message.
If the file name is more than a few characters long, the name gets shortened.
Is there a way to force Mail to display the entire file name (all characters)?
I use Macs in business, and I need to maintain records of incoming/outgoing correspondence and it is often important to have a record showing exactly what was attached to a given email message.  My file names always include the date (YYYMMDD) so every file name is unfortunately always going to be well over 10 characters long.
I save the Mail messages as PDFs and while the existing behavior is better than Outlook (printed or PDF'ed messages don't show any reference to attachments at all) it would be excellent if I could get the entire file name to display.
Does anybody know if this can be done?
    Thanks!

ignore my idiotic question - I dont know why I didnt just drag them like I've been doing ever since Apple Mail existed!

  • I can not change my mail sender name

When I use iCloud.com for email, my sender name is incorrect and I can't get it to change, even though the correct name is set in the iCloud preferences and in my Apple ID.  Any suggestions?

There is many kind of methods to do this but none of them can do in one shot for all, means change in one place (ipad, iphone, mac pc) and them forget the others, it depends from where you would send your mails you have to change in that place the id information, here is the tree methods whatever device you have.
    FROM IPAD IPHONE
    1. OPEN SETTING (GEAR ICON)
    2. GO TO MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDARS
    3. OPEN ICLOUD MAIL ACCOUNT
    4. HIT ON "ACCOUNT"
    5. INSIDE OF ACCOUNT WINDOW HIT ON "MAIL" OPTION
    6. CHANGE THE "NAME" AS YOU DESIRE, THEN "DONE" (3 TIMES UNTIL EVERYTHING CLOSE)
FROM ICLOUD EMAIL (PC OR MAC)
    1. OPEN "MAIL" ON ICLOUD (BLUE ENVELOPE ICON)
    2. HIT ON "GEAR ICON" (TOP RIGHT CORNER)
    3. SELECT "PREFERENCE"
    4. SELECT "ACCOUNT"
    5. CHANGE "FULL NAME" AS YOU DESIRE, THEN DONE
FROM GMAIL ACCOUNT (if icloud is attached to)
    1. OPEN YOUR GMAIL ACCOUNT
    2. HIT "SETTING" (GEAR ICON AT THE TOP RIGHT CORNER)
    3. SELECT "SETTING"
    4. CHOOSE "ACCOUNTS AND IMPORTS"
    5. POINTING ON YOUR ICLOUD ACCOUNT HIT "EDIT INFO" (AT THE MIDDLE RIGHT SIDE OF YOUR SCREEN)
    6. ON "EDIT EMAIL ADDRESS" SMALL WINDOW CHANGE THE "NAME" AS YOU DESIRE
    7. HIT ON "NEXT STEP"
    8. FINALLY HIT " SAVE CHANGES"

  • Changing runtime menu item names dynamically in executable

I want to change the language of my application dynamically. In the run-time menu i do this by changing de item names (leaving de item tags the same) In Labview (6.1) this works but in a application builder build executable this don't work.

How are you changing the runtime menu dynamically? Are you reading the menu settings from a file? If so you might be losing the path to the file in the executable.

i have designed some reports. i would like to change the column header dynamically based on sysdate. up to 24 months. can u help me, which add month function using the universe. i dont know if-then-else function is having the universe tool or not?

Are you saying you are not able to create an object by value (select: statement) as sysdate and put it onto the headers of your report? You can use the add_months() function on the object to add the numbers of months you wish.
Please let me knnow for more.. You can get in touch with me on [email protected] for quick reply.

  • Dynamic file name as mail attachment in receiver Mail Adapter?

    Hi,
Can any one tell the possibility of attaching file as a mail attachment without using mail Package with dynamic filename.
Business requirement is to send error response as mail attachment with dynamic name.
Ex: Error_Response_20110802_13.24 where 20110802 is Date and next part represents time stamp.
File attachment name should change dynamically in Mail receiver Adapter. Thanks
    Regards,
    Sreeramulu Konjeti.

    there is no standard way.
you will have to write a module to get this in place.
