Change load full data to Delta

Hi!!
In the past, we load Full data for a customized DataSourece. Now I changed the DataSource to load delta datas.
This data source was connected a ODS and when I tried to initialize delta process I received the error message. "Full updates already available in ODS 0SAL_DS01 ; Cannot update init./delta".
Someone know, How can I Initialize Delta Process?

ODS does'nt support Full upload and delta upload parallely..........suppose a ODS is getting loaded with delta upload...........then if u do a full upload.........then ODS activation will with this error...........then u have to convert full upload to full repair...........
Go to SE38 >> Program : RSSM_SET_REPAIR_FULL_FLAG...................this program also exists in 3.5.............check it properly............
Check SAP note 689964 ........

Changes in contract-data: No delta-record for BW

Hi,
when in transaction VA02, changes are made to contract data (start date, end date), no delta record is generated in datasource 2LIS_11_VAITM. The contract data is stored in table VEDA.
Currently we have an enhanced datasource that gets the dates at extraction time, but changes to contracts afterwards are not generating delta records. Therefore after a while BW is not in sync with ECC R/3.
Is this a known problem, and does anybody have a solution or suggestion?

Foreachloop container Does not Load full data

I have a scenario where I am loading 16 files into one single table with same num of fields in all the files.
When I I run the package there are no issues, it shows like all the records are loaded succesfully from the file, but when I go to individual files and cehck I am missing few records from one of the files:
Eg: File 1 normally have 15 records but during foreach loop execution it loads only 10 records, I tried to load it seperately and its loading all 15 rows.
issue is when I am loading the data through Foreach Loop.

for Now I am not using any package configuraiton.. Its just Plain hard coded values in the package.

Sometimes, it could be a trigger on a table, check if you have any on the destination in question.

I tried to Figure out the Issue. There are total 18 Files in the loop all of them have Identical Fields except one File which was missing a Field. Source and destination do no match for that file,
I tried to add that field in the source File and then run it, Counts match this time.

Load transaction datas on customize fields

Hi experts
A hard question for me need some hits.
A Transaction datasource has been enhanced and added some customize fields in extraction structure. If there are only some new transaction data on customize fields, how to load these data into delta queue?

Need few details.
1)Do you mean you had just enhanced the data source by including the new fileds from extract structure to comm structure.
or
2) you had enhanced the data source by appending new fileds ? if you had appended new fileds you need to write code in cmod Fm to populate the values to the added fileds.
next make sure the newly updated fileds are selected for the 1st case and for case 2 you need to make sure the option "field only know in exit" is checked along with the selection option.
once done...replicate the data and the newly changed fileds will be visible in BW side map the corresponding fileds and load the data.
use repair full request to load data in to BW along with the historical data.
Note: If you want to load the historical data then you need to delete the setup tables and load the data. then from next time when the delta is scheduled then u can see the records in the delta queue.

Generic Delta: Init, Full Upload and Deltas...

Dear All,
Last week on 10.04.2014 I've created "Generic DataSource with Generic Delta" and used CalDay as Delta-Specific Field and lower limit kept to blank and upper limit to 1. On 11.04.2014 I've initialized the Delta with Data Transfer using Process Chain: Time 1:15 p.m (Note: Posting was on)

Result: Process Chain was scheduled to immediate and it executed and initialized the delta and brought records as well. See below screen shot of RSA7:
Q: 1: Why generic delta current status is 10.04.2014, as I'v scheduled delta through process chain on 11.04.2014 @ 20:50: and why Total column is showing 0 records? Even I've checked Display Data Entries with Delta Repetition, but could not find any records?
Following is the InfoPackages which I created for Delta Loads and used in another Process Chain for Delta scheduled (daily @ 20: 50).
Following is the DTP used into Delta Process Chain:
On 12/04/2014 when I checked my InfoCube, and found that same number of records being loaded again despite InfoPackage and DTP were created as Delta, see screen shot:

I clearly got ur point.....But
If i have situation like ....." I loaded the LO data from R/3 with Init delta......then i loaded 5 loads of delta too.......due to some error in data now i am trying to load all th data......In this case if i do Full upload it is going to bring all the data till 5 th delta load .......If i do Init delta again it is going to bring the same data as full upload..........In LO while loading both Full load or delta init load we need to lock R/3 users....I believe we can load delta even after full upload by using "Init delta without data transfer"............So that wont be the barrier....then what is the difference or how should i figure out which load should i do.............If i am wrong please correct me.......

Change the Full load to Delta load

Hi All,
I am loading the data form R/3 to BW with full load by using the generic data sources.
Now I need to change the full load to delta. But I get the data 2 views and one FM.
Some what I have got the solution, that is going RSO2 there generic delta will be available
If I click I will get the one wind there 3 deltas form there I took time stamp. Then I need
Select the field name.
1) Now only my problem started in that field name there is no creation
Date and last changed data, based on this we need to get the data from R/3 to BW.
2) In that 3 datasorce I used the one DS function module in this also that field name is not
available .
3) In safety interval what I need to give.
After doing all the changes in R/3 side wht are the change i need to in BW
Please help on above 3 issues.

Hi,
1.) based on these fields you will get delta records from r/3 to BW.
3.) safety interval :more clearly--- lower limit corresponds to last extraction
time and upper limit specifies to the current extraction time. This is regarding the date .

Data Mart load does not support Delta load?

For data mart load, we create an InfoPackage for Delta load, under data selection tab, for the InfoObj. 0FISCPER, we pick OLAP variable 0FPER [Current Fiscal Year/Period (SAP Exit)], save this InfoPackage, but when get in again, find under Data Selection tab, on the row 0FISCPER, the From Value column becomes 001/2005 and To Value column becomes 011/2005 and the whole Data Selection tab screen becomes non-editable!
The correct behavior should be that after saving the InfoPackage on this row 0FISCPER, From Value/To Value columns are blank and just the Type column value is 7 and after saving the infopackage and get back in, the Data Selection tab screen is editable.
But if we select Full update mode, then switch back to the Data Selection tab, then the behavior is right.
We wonder if SAP doesn't support Delta load for Data Mart load, why under the Update tab, the Delta load radio button shows up after we conducted an initial load? It doesn't make any sense for SAP!

Dear,
as alredy suggested, you cannot do different selection criteria on your delta, since you automatically have to load on the basis of initial selection...and, if you think about it, this is logic: you cannot initialize a flow for certain conditions and then decide to upload in delta other (different) records...

clearly, if you perform a full (like a 'repair' full, from a functional point of view), this problem doesn't exist (data is taken from active table and not from change log one!)

How to extract data from ORCL GL in "full" and not "delta " with FDM ERPI?

I am using FDM ERPI 11.1.2.1 to extrct data from Oracle eBS 11.
I can see that FDM ERPI extracts data in "delta mode" using the GL_TRACK_BALANCES_DELTA (FDM adds a row in this table after the 1st load of the period").
Is it possible to force the "full mode" in order to reload all the data from Oracle GL for each FDM data load?
Because I don't know why, but I have each month rows which are not imported into FDM.

I had see that I have to install the FDM 11.1.2.1.502 patch in order to see this option in my ERPI adapter options.
I have passed this patch.
So I have the ERPI-FIN-C1 adaptor.
I can see a new option (Time Out Value) but no "Load Data" or "Execution mode" option :-(
Any idea of where the problem come from?

Table on delta loads from data mart

Hi,
I am loading data from two DSO's (let's call them A and B) to another DSO (B) in BI 7 with a BW3.5 delta infopackage.
Now I want to know where I can find information on the timestamp or last request from the last delta load from A and B to C.
So in fact I would like to know how the system knows which requests in A en B have not been loaded to C yet at the next delta load.
In which table can I find the information for ODS A and B that is used by the system to define what data in the change log has been loaded or not to ODS C or other targets. (In fact I should have a comparison table in BW as ROOS* in R3)

I know how to check everything in the Workbench, but I want to know where the information of the delta is stored technically.
Just for the sake of completeness:
Due to some issues; several successive loads from A and B were correctly loaded into DSO C (the 'new' table), but could not be activated. It is not possible to do a repeat or anything else. I am not going into too much detail, but just take this for granted.
The only way we can 'solve' the problem is to make the system believe that the 3 last loads (activated data) in A and the two last loads in B have not been loaded to C yet. Just deleting the last delta's in C and do a new delta from A and B to C will not work.
Therefore I want to 'manipulate' the table that is being read by a delta load. If I can change the timestamp or request numbers in that table, I can make the system believe that some requests have not been loaded to C yet.
Dirty, but it should work I think. But I am still figuring out what table contains information about the datamart data source (8A and 8B) and the last delta load to the targets.

Load data with Delta

Hello Expert,
I loaded data from SAP R/3 into PSA using Delta mode and found that a new record which was just created was not loaded into SAP BI. What could be possible?
Step of loading
1. Initial without data into PSA
2. Full load with criteria Fiscal Period (e.g. 001.2009 - 016.2009) into PSA
3. Load data from PSA into DSO with update mode = Delta
4. Create a new transaction from SAP R/3
5. Load data from SAP R/3 into SAP BI-PSA with update mode = Delta
Expected Result: A new record should be loaded into PSA.
Actual Result: There was no record loaded.
After initial loading without data, is it necessary to full load with all fiscal period. And then load with Delta mode?
I have never seen this kind of problem before.
Is anyone familiar with this kind of problem? How did you resolve it?
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Is your Datasource is Logistics? if so how the job has been scheduled in LO cockpit (hourly / daily)
Did you check the record in Delta Queue(RSA7) ??

Missing some master data for delta load( its very urgent please)

I am working master data for delta load,the problem is when ever changes(SO) in r/3 RECORDS for address text,City Dstrct Nm.its not getting loaded into BW.every day some delta records are coming into BW.

Loading full (DTP)to Dso and then Delta to info cube

Hi Experts,
I am loading data from Oracle and the data voulme is very huge.
The only option i could have in the infopackege (to PSA) is Full load.
I am loading a FULL DTP to DSO and the a Delta DTP to cube.
So for the next load i should delete the request in PSA and DSO and keep the request in the cube.
How could i delete the request in DSO without deleting the request in cube?
Is there any alternate solution to improve the load time?

u r loading the data to dso and after that from dso to cube, is it correct ???
if it is correct u have to do full load to cube also,
otherwise there is another option is please choose 'write optimized DSO' instead of Standard DSO
if still u r not cleared plz post clear information so that i can suggest u

Can I see who loaded PL00 data once status has changed?

The SEM-BCS monitor allows you to see who last changed the status of a task (i.e. loaded, locked etc.).
Does anybody know how we can show who last loaded data (in particular PL00 data) once the task for this load has been locked (and the status details thereby only show who locked the task)?

BI Applications 7.9.6.1 - Few SIL and PLP Tasks stopped in Full data load

Hi All,
I have run full data load for Projects analytics. I have 23 tasks with status "stopped". These are SIL and PLP tasks for Project Facts load. It also contains tasks related to employee dimension and user dimension SCD update
I have checked the staging tables for many of the Facts/Dimensions corresponding to the stopped tasks and they have data.
All my other dimensions have loaded successfully and am able to query them from Answers using the BIA subject areas.
Could any one suggest possible reason for the tasks to be stopped.
Any pointers will be great at this point in time.

Yes I had overlooked one failed task. It was a group task on employee dimension (Index creation on DS table had an error). Fixed that error and ran the failed and stopped tasks again. All working fine now.
Facts have been loaded and dashboards are working pretty fine.
