Change material # before it checked weather its in SAP or not.

Hi all,
If user enter wrong material during creation of order, we have to change that material with dummy material and save the order.
In sap if we enter material which is not exists in sap it will give us erro before it goes to mv45afzz user exit. is there any way i can change the wrong material with dummy material before checking materila is in sap or not.
I am think we need to work on screen field user exit. but not sure which user exit or badi.

because this is enforced via check table there is no way except of creating own filtering transaction and let that call the standard.

Yes - if you have an Oracle database the JVM is being used.
There is NOTHING to 'clean up' as far as the internal JVM that is part of Oracle.
You can NOT modify it or upgrade it. And if you remove it Oracle will also remove your database.

In the Inventory screen, select the Oracle home and the products that you want to remove, then click Remove.
Note:

Check Weather UDF Form Exist or Not ?

I have to work on UDF Fields and problem is that i have to check weather UDF Form (right hand side form which is visible only when we click VIEW>User Defined Field)
is visible or not.
Do any one know such method/varible by which i would be able to know that UDF form is visible / not visible....

Changing values before ATP-check in VA01/VA02

Dear experts,
I have a problem and I don't know where to start ...
When creating or changing an order, the business want to change a specific value before coming to the screen of availability control ...
They add a new item on the sales order ... After pressing enter we go immediately to the screen of the "characteristic value assignment" ... After adding some values on the characteristics, we press the button to go to the next screen (which is "availibilty control") ... Before getting to the screen, we should be able to change the value of the field "GR Process Time" (AFPOD-WEBAZ) of the corresponding production order (that also will be created) ... If this is possible, the "dely/conf.date" should immediately have the correct value !
Does anyone know how I can do this ? Are there some enhancements where I can program this ?

Perhaps you can do your own ATP before of the SO. You can achieve it with the function module MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API.
You have two example reports: RMMD07EX and RMMD07DB.
Instead a list, you can obtain an internal table and set the quantity and date. Other question is performance.

Then there is no way to confirm that your phone was officially unlocked. Buying from a non-official source, especially an "open market", means you're at the mercy of the seller as to the accuracy of the phone's status. Based on postings here, most of these phones have been hacked. You'll find out for sure though if you update to 3.1.3.

Change material Type - 'MMA'

I am trying to Change Material Type using T-code - 'MMAM'.But Message is coming PO already exist.
Problem is tat we have already created GIN for the PO & Reversed the GIN also,but still PO is not getting release to Change any data.It is giving error,that GIN already exist.
I want to Change the MAterial Type.How can i do that.??

Please note that both the new material type and the old material type must have the
same characteristics eg. quantity based material management is one of
the characteristic. The R/3 Online Help provides a very good explanation
on all the pre-requisites before you can change a material type.
(Logistics Gen>Logistics Basic Data > LO Managing Material Master Data >
Material Master Record > Material Type > Change Material Type)
Please check if you have set the deletion flag for any PO's as
these need to be physically deleted for MMAM to work. You will also
need to check if there are ANY open items for this order. The purchase
orders need to be ARCHIVED. You should complete the invoice receipt for
this position BEFORE you set the deletion flag in the purchase order.
Also, if the material is already in stock, or if reservations or
purchasing documents exist for it, the following conditions must also be
met:
>The stock values of the material of the new material type must be
updated in the same G/L account as the stock values of the material of
the old material type.
>Quantities and values of the material of the new material type must be
updated in exactly the same way in all plants as quantities and values
of the material of the old material type.
>If there is a transfer requirement for the material and if quantities
of the material exist, the new material type must also allow the
material data to be maintained from the Warehouse Management view.

You can use the following command at Unix/Aix operating system.
login into unix/aix operating system
& run the following command.
sqlplus "connect /as sysdba"
you come in sql prompt
& than run the following query
sql>select status from v$instance;
In windos you can check DB status using MMC.

Be careful of "Prompt user to change password before expiration" policy -- it's counting the days wrong!!

After several tests, I'm pretty sure that the policy "Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password before expiration" is counting the wrong days. (Note: this policy is in Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security
Options) So I think I should post this in the forum in the hope that it could be helpful to others in the same case as me, esp if the policy is pushed out as a domain-wide policy.
First, the context of the test, ie domain-wide policy settings:
1. Password minimum age = 2 days
2. Password maximum age = 4 days
3. Prompt user to change password before expiration = 2 days
If everything is going fine, users will be asked to change password when it is changeable (ie it has reached the minimum age). However, it turns out that users are prompted BEFORE they can change password. Look at the image below that I got in
Win7:
(In WinXP, we have similar prompt when user has just logged in)
Look at the clock: it's 13:16 (04/12/2013). Then look at the DOS window in which I ran the "net user /domain" command and read the line "Password expires": it's shown
06/12/2013 18:09:04.
A little math would tell me that if users are prompted to change password *2 days* before expiration, the dialog will appear
ONLY AFTER 04/12/2013 18:09:04. But since the prompt is shown at 13:16 (ie well before 18:09), that mean the "prompt user...." policy makes mistakes in calculating the moment to show the prompt.
In other words, if we have the policy set like this:
Prompt user to change password before expiration =
N days
The prompt will actually appear from N+1 days before expiration.
I would consider this as a bug, but I also suppose it's hard to make Microsoft fix it. So that's why I make this post to warn others. In my case, I have received several calls from users complaining that they were prompted to change password
but their new passwords were always refused and they had no idea what went wrong. And it took me a lot of effort to sort out what really went wrong. And in order to work around this stupid bug, I have to change the "Prompt user...." policy
to N-1 days (before expiration) instead of N days previously.

Based on my research, you are right that the prompt policy is implemented by date, which is by design.

The problem is consistency! For Minimum/Maximum password age properties, they are also defined for
days as well. But for them, days are exact days, ie a
multiple of exactly 24 hours. There is an "Explain" tab for every parameter, but even if you read them through, you can't tell if day means strict multiple of 24 hours or loose definition of days. I'll leave the exercise to you to read
them if you like and spare me the article from your KB library.
As for the password minimum age part, what I mean is that is why users can’t not change their password within 2 days when the prompt appears before the changeable time.
Anyway, I agree with you that we need to be careful when we configure the password policy because the Prompt policy is not doing calculation by hours.
Miss, the 2 days is just a TEST EXAMPLE. Let's say it's
N days if you was unable to understand. I wouldn't change N days to N-1 days because of this stupid GUI bug. As I said earlier and let me repeat it once more,
Minimum password age = N days is a security policy and it is more important than the user prompt and no security officer with sane mind will change this.

IQ02 TRANSACTION(change material serial no)

can any body tell me where i get the field selection for IQ02 TRANSACTION (navigation in spro). my client want to change the warrenty period for the material for this he go to IQ02 transaction( change material serial number) but in this transaction he was not getting the warrenty tab for this where i configure it pls tell me step by step with navigation urgent

A shipment is getting created and saved for the delivery and as per our configuration PGI is done as soon as shipment is done and shipment status sets as END.
Once this process is over status for the serial number should not remain ESTO but it is showing as ESTO and it is available .

3 In case of material valuation is Standard (Price control), the costing is done on the basis of the Standard Price or actual cost of the raw material.

Details for triggering workflow on changing material

Hi Experts ,
I am triggering workflow BUS1001006 for creating/changing material .
Is it possible to get the details that has been changed in the material using this ?
Is there any other way to get the fields changed in MM02 for a material through
workflow ?

Check the business object all the attributes in the log. If you get its fine if not create an attribute write your logic in that for changed material.
