Details for triggering workflow on changing material

Hi Experts ,
I am triggering workflow BUS1001006 for creating/changing material .
Is it possible to get the details that has been changed in the material using this ?
Is there any other way to get the fields changed in MM02 for a material through
workflow ?

Check the business object all the attributes in the log. If you get its fine if not create an attribute write your logic in that for changed material.

If am not wrong you are trying to raise event when ever there is a new travel request raised, so the BOR would be availbel in the workflow container to be more preciese it would be available in the event container, so you need to find out the right attribute in the BOR where the trip type is assigned and validate this in the start conditions i mean in the basic data of the workflow where you activate the event linkage.

JMS Events for triggering workflows

Hi,
I am trying to send an xml message from a java client to a JMS Queue(the default
queue com.bea.wlpi.EventQueue). I am trying to trigger a workflow that checks a root
element. For some reason it is not working when I set the trigger to be an XMLEvent.
If I set it to be a manual trigger and trigger the workflow from the worklist, it
executes the workflow.
Any help, documentation, code snippet for trigger an xml event trigger would be greatly
appreciated.

Probably way too late with this response but here goes anyways.
Have you defined the event key for your xml root element via the configuration/events
menu option ?
The expression defined there for the xml root element is used compare the incoming
xml message with the (normally) literal value you specify in the start key value
expression.

Hi,
If you are changing it from one valid group to another valid group and both will still be there afterwards, then the impact is small, but important.
The data in the Info systems and BW etc. will have been updated with the the "old" material group and so if you tried to compare them you would find differences.
It is something that does happen from time to time and as long as the two groups will still be ther afterwards there should be no reason why this would cause any technical or system problems. The effect is purely on the historic data.
I have seen this done several times in many implementations and so far it has not caused any major problems apart from some reports "appearing" wrong if you compare them against other reports that involve historical movements.

Create PO with item category L....There in Item detail you will get tab for material.
There click in component Button, it will take you to the component screen there you can assign and deassign components.

Workflow not getting triggered on status change

Hiii Everyone
Workflow is not getting triggered whenever I change the status of the Order (Lead). When we create a lead a workflow is triggered.
1. If the status is Open a mail is sent.
2. Then the status is checked for in process. And whenever the status is changed to inprocess it is assigned to the agent by the rule attached to the workflow.
3. And again when the status is changed to sanctioned a mail is sent.
Now problem is if I create a lead and change its status to inprocess and then save , then the mail is sent and it is assigned to the agent properly. But when I change the status to sanctioned , then the mail is not sent for sanctioned(i.e. no worklfow step is shown in swel).
If I open the lead and save it then the mail is sent properly. But then after that when I change the status to inprocess, the workflow is not showing agent assignment (jn swel).
Summary: Whenever I cahnge the status after saving the order , the workflow is not showing any further step .
Please suggest the solution.

Hi,
Your workflow has been triggered when the status is open and then when change the status to in process,it is not sending mail as there is no agent assignment.
That means, workflow triggered, but it is not going to the next step.
Is it a standard or custom one?
Can you post the workflow log screenshot over here?

This may be little tough for 10000 sales orders.
1. You have to remove the output record for the irrelevant output record using tcode VV12 for the relevant document type. So now for the document type, the old output wont be triggered.
2. Now, create output records for hte correct output type in VV11 tcode(for the output type BA03) for the document type. Now this output will be triggered for all the document types you are creating from now onwards.
3. To trigger the output type BA03, in all the old orders, you just have to open these sales orders in change mode (VA02), and just save it. When u open it the output type BA03 will be automatically triggered as the master data is maintained in VV11. But because just opening all the 10000 sales orders in VA02 one by one be a mechanical task, you have to think of some tool for this.
May be a CATT procedure can do the trick. Else, you can just create a small program, where you can upload these sales orders and the program will just open these orders in change mode and just saves it (without making any changes). Then the output will be retriggered.
Here again, if you are printing the output directly, it is advisable to trigger the output in batch mode(Date/Time field is 1 in VV11), and then you can again trigger the printing again using the program RSNAST00 after office hours for these 10k orders.

If Material A - Description Vicks is created in Material master n if you want the same material with change of description for respective customer,you can change the description like Vicks XL while creating SO in Description of Material line item.
Same can be displayed in invoice as well.

Triggering event through Change Management for Sales order

I am working on three different scenarios of workflow which is triggered on change of sales order. I am trying to put conditions in SWEC for the workflows to start but not sure how to go about it. I created change doc object VERKBELEG and assigned bus2032 and changed as my event. I inserted a value in condition editor like vbap_(fieldname)_new etc. Nothing seem to be working.
I would like to know once we assign event here in SWEC, should we also assign and activate it in the triggering tab of workflow or just create an entry in the linkage table.
Please guide me as to how I need to work on the sales order change. I am basically want to trigger a sales order only when a field value is updated or inserted which pertains to my requirement.

I have a requirement
Daily cycle counts are completed on inventory. SAP prints nightly a count cycle of 50 inventory items to count (Inventory Audit). This is done so our warehouse folks count items throughout the year rather than at the end of the year all at once. Every January 1 of each year the cycle count begins until we finish cycling through the inventory, which usually happens around October.
When suspend the inventory counts it places the inventory cycle counts on hold for a period of time. The cycling that would usually happen in October of each year is extended out by the days the inventory counts were placed on hold. This is to allow for 100% inventory audit counts. As I understand SAP puts those inventory counts on hold and begins again when it is restarted.
I will need the TCODE to stop and start the inventory cycle count

How to set authorization in more detail for ME11,e.g. material group, etc.?

Hi,
As we know, we can use plant, purchasing organization, purchasing group as authorization object to carry out authorization check when creating purchasing info record in ME11.
But now my customer wants to set authorization in more detail, for example, use material group and some certain fields in vendor master.
It seems standard authorization setting for ME11 cannot do this.
Is there any method to meet the need? or some enhancements or BADi?

Thanks for your information. I have thought of creating authorization object values, but the problem is where to let SAP carry out the authorization check to the new object in ME11/ME12.
So I think maybe some enhancements can let us write authority check code to do it.
But I am not sure which enhancement or user exit can be used to write this code.

Is there a way to pull a report for a project with system status, user status and the details of who made the changes with date and time???

If you have change documents active for status management and project profile then you can get the data from JCDS table directly (changed status and who changed it). Note that you will get the status in SAP internal code and you need to refer TCJ30 table for status.

Changing Assignment Details for multiple user

Hi everyone,
In the RelationShips tab of a bundle, how can we change the "Assignment Details" for multiple user at once? Per exemple, I have a bundle that have about 100 user assignments. The bundle show on Start Menu but no on the Nal. If we want all of our users to have this bundle on the Nal Windows, how can we instruct that easily and quickly, instead of selecting each user and changing the Assignment Details ?

I am also trying to update the shortcut locations on many apps for a mass amount of users. Mr. Pond, or dominicm, can you explain or give a example ZMAN command that would be able to do this? From the documentation I can find it only seems to affect the distribution and scheduling but not the shortcut location.
