Change message from error to Warning

Hi,
I need to change message No. MM038 to warning from error message. I have tried:
SPRO-->Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Environment Data --> Define Attributes of System Messages --> System Messages
but could not find or add my message there.
MM038 message appears in Forecasting view of Material Master.
Description of message MM038 is : "You may not add material as reference to itself"

this message is not customizable. it is a hardcoded error.

when i was doing call transcation for CJ40 transcation. on the screen while check syntactical error check there were some errors below.
    Total plan value less than cumulative plan value
    - l2:              2,900.00 <            8,900.00 (AUD)
    - l3:              2,900.00 <            8,900.00 (AUD)
The Call transaction on CJ40 results in a generic error message in the error table.
Errors found --> Access the error log
Need a way to retrieve the error message from the Error Log,

Hi Nelson Karunakar,
When we are loading cost plan for particular project which contains multiple WBS elements,
First we need to enter the cost plant for LEVEL 1 WBS element ( which is nothing but same name as parent project) and save then only we can enter the cost plant for remaining WBS elements for that particulr Parent project.
If you load the cost plan for LEVEL 1 WBS Elemts first and save it an then enter the values for remaining WBS elements you never get that error message again.

Change "Message from administrator" in PXE

Hello,
I am wondering if you can change the default message from administrator from the looking for policy to something custom. I tried looking in the PXE settings on the DP role and also tried to run a wdsutil set server message from cmd prompt on the server
itself. Nothing has worked. Is this an option or am I stuck?
I am running sccm 2012 on a server 2012 r2 machine.

Change message to error-Sales Order

A customer has been marked for deletion. Now when we try to make an SO, system will give a warning message that "customer is flagged for deletion". Since this is a warning message only, we can still process the SO. Where can we change this warning message to an 'error' message ?

Goto the T.Code "SE91".
Enter the message class as "VPD"
Message number "002".
Display.Select that line and click on "Where-Used" list.
Select Programs and unselect all.Enter.
Double click on Short Description.Identify where teh message type is coming as "W".
Change it to "E" with the help of your ABAPer.

Clearing down messages from Error Topic

We are using AIA Foundation Pack 2.3 and trung to develop interfaces between JDE and eBusiness Suite.
I am running some test scenarios which are failing and it is kicking off the AIA BPEL Error Handling.
From what I can see it writes the error message to a Queue and then retries the message. This is fine in a production environment but i've had issues when testing.
Is there any simple way of clearing these messages?
I've resulted to purging all the instances of the main process and undeploying the process and purging instances of the AIA Error Handling processes but this doesn't seem to be 100% successful.
When i've ended up redeploying the BPEL process its complained about invalid GUID.
There must be a simple way to do this, removing messages off the Error Topic?

The string is the (consumer-level) "subscription name" identifier that the server uses to identify the durable subscription within the scope of a (Connection level) "client-id" identifier .
Although connection-level "client-id"s are set in provider dependent style (and may not need setting by the client explicitly):

Basically you need to specifiy a uniquely identifiable name for the durable subscription. When you reconnect, pass the same "subscription name" in and your messages should be waiting for you!
Now, regarding the message expiration problem. Is it possible to run the test using a publisher that sends messages which do not expire (i.e. don't specifiy a time-to-live)? If you can receive these messages and you are sure you have reconnected within the 100min TTL (and all the machines in the test have the same or similar clock times) then it is possible that your provider may have a bug. I guess the other thing to try is to send persistent messages (if you aren't already) as maybe the provider is using some kind of optimization?

You can change it via OBA5 transaction. Enter application area KI, and set 'W' flag for 281 error message.

Hi I am using a generate warning processor in the process which aborts the job when the threshold limit is reached. I need to send out email notification why the job failed (including the message from the generate warning processor). Is it possible?

Hi,
Yes, this looks like a bug in the UI as it doesn't seem to persist the selected template and always resets the selection to the first entry in the list. It looks like for now you'll only be able to have a single working template on the server with a name alphabetically before "Default Template". I'll see if there are any workarounds.

You can do it via OBA5 transaction; enter the application code, and put an entry for the message setting the flag to warning. Keep in mind, that not for every message it could be done.

Change message on the Purchase Order from a warning to an Error

Dear all,
I am working in a global client and I would like to change a specific message (06205 - Effective price higher than material price > 20%) from a warning to an error but only for some specific users.
I know that a message can be changed to an error message on SPRO -> Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Environment Data ->Define Attributes of System Messages, but this would mean that the change would affect all the users.
I would like to know if it's possible to make it as a warning just to some users and if yes, the detailed steps to it.
As any of you did such configuration?

Hello,
You have to create a new version (01) in the exact IMG spot for Error message. Then assign user paramter (SU3) 'MSV' with value '01' to those users who should get errors.

How to change a message from type information to error?

We are using a BDC to change the request delivery date of sales order lines. But we may meet the situation that for a selected line, because some inventory movements are doing, the ATP checking can not be fulfilled. But because system only hints an information type message, we can catch this problem in customized BDC program. The message system raised is "No availability check can be carried out for material NTN095UF Message no. V1082".
To improve this situation, I wonder if we can change the message type of this message to an error. Or anything else can we do? Please suggest on it. Thanks.

if you want to change the mesage type from information to an error go to OVAH , and change the category of your message to error(E). (category is the last tab with option no message/warning/error)

I have following problem: some people changed G/L Master data Recon.Account for Account Type from 'blank' into 'asset' recon.account.
Now we can't change it back. I know that once the G/L account is changed into Recon.Account there is now possibility to make changes back.
Please is there a way to change the error into warning messages.
I used se91, se93 and other ways but still nothing.

You change the account type back to blank if the balance in that account is zero.
Nullify the figures in that account and then change the account type.

It's not necessary to change the Command N keystroke..
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

I have the same problem, and the solutions in Error changing modules | Lightroom do not work. Even uninstalling and reinstalling a new copy did not solve the problem. As anyone got an idea what other lingering files might be causing the problem?
