  • Programmatically changing the x scale range of xy graph

    Hi,
    from a subvi I need to access the x scale range of an xy-graph on the panel of the main vi. I tried the code shown in the pdf attached to my posting. How can I restrict the general property node for an unspecified control to a more specific property node that offers the property "x scale range"?
    Thanks,

    You can use "To More specific Class" from the application control palette.
    Of course make sure to handle errors gracefully. This is just a draft

  • [Bug?] Defer Panel Update not working when changing scale property

    Hi,
    I found that Defer Panel Update [when True] does not work properly when changing the scale fit property of an intensity graph.
    Try the VI.
    When Defer Panel Update is True, and you change the Numeric controls, the Intensity graph is not updated (as expected).
    But now change the "Z Scale.Scale Fit" button and.... the Intensity graph is updated (only the Z-color, not the axis).
    This looks to be a bug to me!

  • Changed Pressure transducers with 0-5Vdc from the old 0-10. PVis way off!

    Im a newby with labiew as of last week. I was tasked to change the range of new pressure transducers that were recently installed in our lab application. I am currently running 6.1 with Fp-PS-4 , FP-1601 , FP-AI-112 , and FP-RTD-124 Hardware. We are changing over from Omegadyne model PX02C1-015AV to swagelok's S-model, output 0-5, Supply V dc= 10-30 V. The pinout on the connector has already been changed and tested. I also changed the range on the points of change to 0-5 and the pv is reading way off. Im sure there is a scale in a block diagram chart somewhere, but I cannot locate it. Can anyone point to any areas where I may make these changes to correct this problem?

    Hi Dano,
    You might check the Channel Configuration settings in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). Under Remote Systems, expand the I/O modules underneath your 1601. Once you click on the I/O module that you are reading your transducer on, you'll see in the window to the right a Channel Configuration tab. Here, you can check the Data Configuration setting for the input Range. Make sure this is set to the expected signal range from your sensor.

  • How do I programmatically set the scale range for the two y-scales of the two plots

    hi,
    I am using labview 8.2
    To programmatically assign a range to the y-scale of a plot I use a Property Node for the plot display and adjust Y.Scale.Range.Minimum.
    How can I assign the ranges of a plot with multiple y-scales?
    miethe

    One of the problems with using two Y scales is that the display can get very messy is you also want grids on the plot. To address this, I created the attached VI. After allowing the right axis to autoscale, it fine tunes the marker locations so the grid lines for the left and right side overlay each other.
    To use it all you have to do is write your data to the graph and then call this VI with a reference to the graph.

  • Help with property node

    I have a graph chart with 3 plots. I can make any of the plots visible or not using property node as shown in the attached file.
    Is there a any way I can scale the block diagram and use less case structure . for instance is it possible to use just one case structure to set the plot visible property of the three plots.
    Thank you.

    PropertyNodeChartAssign.vi ‏29 KB

    (You are using way too much code for these cases! Your true and false cases only differ by the boolean, which you already have from the control. In a first cleanup, you can delete the case structure and wire the button directly to the "visible" property. Same functionality! Right?)
    Still, that's not the way to go!
    Property nodes are expensive! You only need to write these properties if one of the selector changes, and not with every iteration of the loop! You should handle these thing in a seperate loop using an event structure. Attached is a simple example. See if it makes sense.
    Notice that the bottom loop waits until needed and rarely spins.
    Also: Instead of a column of similar controls, use an array of controls. Instead of using thee sets of "dices" use one in a FOR loop.

  • JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key

    Hi,
    I am developing a Fusion Web Application using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.0. I have a home.jspx page that has a ADF table built on efttBilling View Object. . When you click on one of the rows in the table, it will take you to detail.jspx where you can edit the row and save. When 'save' is clicked, stored procedures are executed to update/insert rows into few tables , and then go back to home.jspx where you need to see updated content for that row.
    To get down to the exact issue, updates are made to the tables on which the efttBilling View Object is built using a stored procedure. Once this is done, I am trying to requery view object to see new content. But I keep getting JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key error. Following are the approaches I followed to query new results:
    a. Executed Application Modules Commit Method. Created 'Commit' Action binding and tied it to homePageDef.xml. Called this binding from a view scope bean.
        BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
         OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
        Object result = operationBinding.execute();
       if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty())
        return null;
    b. Marked 'Refresh on Insert' , 'Refresh on Update', 'Change Indicator' checkboxes for all the attributes in the entities associated with efttBilling View Object.
    c. Tried to Requery View Object. Created a refreshViewObject method in Application Module Impl.java file, exposed this method to the client interface and created a invokeMethod Action binding in home.jspx
    Code in Application Module:
      public void refresheftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1View()
        System.out.println("In eftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1");
      findViewObject("eftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1").executeQuery();
    Code in view scope bean
            DCBindingContainer bindings =
           (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
            OperationBinding operation =
            bindings.getOperationBinding("refresheftTransactionsforBillingAccountViewObj1View");
            operation.execute();
    I have searched web, ADF forums and tried methods suggested in there but no sucess.
    Could anyone please provide some insight in this issue. I have been battling with this since quite some time. I can provide you with the log file too.
    Thanks!
    Shai.

  • Dante font used in manuscript - when I try to save as a pdf document in Microsoft Word whole pages change their look, with wide gaps forming between certain paragraphs or sections. This does not happen with other fonts.

    Dante font used in manuscript … when I try to save as a pdf document in Microsoft Word whole pages change their look, with wide gaps forming between certain paragraphs or sections. This does not happen with other fonts.

    OK, we've got it!
    What is happening is that when you use Microsoft's save as PDF in Word, the font isn't embedded even though the font is tagged to allow embedding. Furthermore, Microsoft doesn't properly put the font name into the PDF file such that Acrobat or Reader can readily find the font installed on your system such that the text can be properly displayed and/or printed. Acrobat and Reader attempt to display and/or print the text using a “substitution font” and of course, as they say, YMMV (“your mileage may vary”)!
    I personally submitted the report of this problem (both the embedding and the font name problem) to Microsoft. They acknowledge the bug, tried a fix and provided me a build with it, but it wasn't right. Maybe they will ultimately fix it, maybe they won't. We don't know yet. We do know that if it is fixed, it will be fixed only for Office 2013 (problem occurs with all Office applications since they use the same PDF generation code) and thus such a fix won't help you.
    Adobe Acrobat Standard and Acrobat Pro  both provide an Adobe PDFMaker plug-in to Office applications (including full support for Office 2010) that adds an Acrobat Toolbar as well as a Save as Adobe PDF menu item. The resultant PDF file fully supports embedding of OpenType CFF, TrueType, and Type 1 fonts and in many other ways produces much superior PDF with a full range of PDF generation options not available with the Microsoft PDF. (Note that beginning with Office 2013, Microsoft does not support Type 1 fonts in Office documents at all, even for existing documents!) The Acrobat Office functions are widely used and respected in the end user community and whatever “issues” there are (all software has “issues” of some type - it is a matter of how many and how severe), you should be in much better shape for PDF production that with what you currently are using.
    Good luck and let us know if this resolves your problems. (Note that you can download and install a free fully-functional 30 trial of Acrobat Pro to assure that it meets your needs! You can then buy a license and activate what you already have installed.)

  • Is it possible to change the range in fieldpoint explorer of a FP-TC-120 other than the default? ie reduce the range to where we are operating?

    Is there a way to manually change the range to say 0 to 150 degrees Celsius? Or is the range change done in the software programming?
    Thanks Mark

    The difference is due to the design of the FP-TC-120. The FP-TC-120 supports four ranges on the ADC (listed in my previous post). Configuring a temperature mode, tells the module to use the built-in linearization algorithms based upon the thermocouple type chosen. For each thermocouple type, one of the four voltage ranges is used depending upon the characteristics of the thermocouple. If a thermocouple, does not take the full scale range, the module can not simply subset the range. In the case of the K type thermocouple, I believe that the upper limit of K thermocouples is 60 mV, so the 60-80 mV portion of the range (roughly corresponding to the 1370 to 1770 C range of the module is unused). The module accuracy specs do take this into account.

  • Another user has changed the row with primary key -Table changed externally

    Hello,
    I am facing the error: "Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key[94 ]." during the delete operation.
    User case scenario:
    1. Added new row in the table.
    2. Once new row is added to the the table, another application will update few columns in the newly added row based on some logic.
    3. On the same session I am trying to delete the newly added row and getting above mentioned error.
    I have added a "Button" in the table to partialRefresh the table to check the new values of the changed columns.
    I have checked the forum and found many similar errors and tried the following but nothing helped.
    1. By setting "Auto Refresh = True" for the view object.
    Issue faced-> It worked fine but after few add and remove my db is getting to inconsistent state after which, I am not able to do any add/delete from my page.
    Error: "Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key". I have checked this and I am not getting this error when "Auto Refresh = False" even after multiple add and remove actions.
    2. By Setting "Auto Refresh" the iterator associated with the page.
    Issue -> Did not work at all.
    Looking forward inputs from gurus.
    Thanks
    Abhijeet

    Finally I found one solution to this problem at: [ http://www.avromroyfaderman.com/2008/05/bring-back-the-hobgoblin-dealing-with-rowinconsistentexception/|http://www.avromroyfaderman.com/2008/05/bring-back-the-hobgoblin-dealing-with-rowinconsistentexception/]
    Simply overriding the lock() method in the entity object resolved issue. Kudos to the author.
    Code:
    public void lock() {
    try {
    super.lock();
    } catch (RowInconsistentException e) {
    refresh(REFRESH_WITH_DB_ONLY_IF_UNCHANGED | REFRESH_CONTAINEES);
    super.lock();
    But, Now my refresh button is not working as depend on the "Auto Refresh = True" to update the table.
    Can anyone tell me how can I refresh the VO of my table from the button.
    Thanks
    Abhijeet.
    P.S: I have already added the partial trigger but it is work not working as the data is cached in the VO. Removing the Cached property for the VO is creating other problems.

  • Graph Scale Range

    Hello Everyone,
    I have a problem in the Waveform Graph.
    Basically I have a Waveform Graph and on the graph I have a cursor.
    Now I should be able to move the cursor on the Plot , but the condition is that it should not go beyond the X Sacle range.
    For e.g. If my X Scale range is 0 to 400, the even if i move my cursor beyond 0 or above 400 the cursor should not scroll or should stop scrolling.
    One way of doing is that you keep on checking the X Scale Max and Min Values and as soon as it crosses any one of it, Make the cursor value to 0 or 400.
    Is there any other way of doing it?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks in advance.
    Avni

    Hi Dennis
    Thanks a lot for your reply.
    But doing that will not solve my problem.
    One e.g. to tell is that If I have a data of 400 points and my scale range is 0 to 100 then if I follow the instructions that you have given, then I will not be able to scroll and see the data beyond 100.
    I acquire a data of 400 points. and depending of the Sweep speed, I dispaly the points and scale of the X axis changes .
    Meaning If my Sweep speed is 1ms/d then I plot all four hundred points and the scale is 0 to 400
    and if my sweep speed is chenged after acquiring the data then my scale changes to 0 to 200 .
    I hope that you understand my problem.
    Hoping that you will solve my query.

  • Dropdown with property values

    Hi Experts,
    How would you create a drop down on a report which contains all the values of a property for a given dimension.
    My Account dimension has property called Allocation_Rule  which could have Rule1, Rule2 ... values.
    In my report i have to give the rule selection to the user so that when they pick a value i will have to expand evdre rows for  accounts where the property is Rule1 or so.
    Question 1:  How would you create that dynamic drop down with property values
    Question 2: How would you expand EVDRE based on the drop down selection.
    AD

    Hi,
    A fairly simple way to do this would as follows:
    1) Build an EVDRE on a hidden sheet, have all BASMEMBERS of the dimension you require in rows
    2) Have EVPRO on each line of this EVDRE returning the property you require (=EVPRO(<APP NAME>,<CELL REF>,<PROPERTY NAME>)
    3) On the main sheet have a cell (say in B1) with data validation (List), pointing to the EVPRO column of your hidden EVDRE
    This will return all of the available property values in the dropdown box.
