Change Tracking At record Level?? URGENT

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where i need to activate the change trackinjg for 6 fields.
If i update 3 field VALUES in 4 RECORDS in Data manager.
How will i know from the History table that..
>>  This Particluar Record  Was updated with old value New Value User name ETc..
I think it just says the filed is updated from this value to This value, BUT how will i know in Which RECORD this field is updated from this value to this value???
Can any one HELP!!!!
Kind Regards
John

Hi ,
is the Work flow solution something related tot Time stamps creating for each field that we wish to have tracking?
We dont want to create time stamps for each individual fields for which we require tracking!!!
Also, in the below notes i can see ..
" By default, the MDM change tracking database has a single index which is applied on the 'Id' field.
Does this mean the Reciord ID in the MDM Main table !!!
If its giving the Record id, Then it solves My problemss..

    My Soundtrack pro looses the mic on AJAKona.  It will appear as an input only by clicking on New audio file, then ok,  and an Recording alert comes up.  But if I change track I loose the AJA again. How do I fix this?

    Finally found the answer. The recording was done at 48, the audio/MIDI settings were set to 48, but the sampling setting on the export was not, causing everything else to break down. Once all three matched the export worked and the playback audio worked without opening the clip editing screen.

  • Change the recording level for recording with Thunderbolt-Firewire-Mixer

    Hey,
    I just bought a PHONIC Helix Board 24 Universal for recording some music via Firewire.
    Because my IMac has no Firewire-slot, I am using a Thunderbolt-Firewire-Adapter and a Firewire 400-800 cable.
    If I try to record some music it sounds really horrible.
    It seems that the reason is the recording level which can be changed while using the internal micro but not with firewire-Thunderbolt.
    The recording level is set on max, resulting in overmodulation and noise.
    Is there any way to adujust the recording level?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hello Jshen6,
    Have you tried looking at the examples in LabVIEW under Hardware Input and Output>>Synchronization? The Analog Input-Synchronization.vi example shows you how to synchronize AI across multiple devices in various configurations and for various types of hardware. Would you mind listing what hardware you are using? Are all three devices taking the same data (voltage, strain, acceleration, etc)?

    If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up.
    You should have a look in:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons
    /Library/Extensions
    You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple.

  • Can't adjust recording level with M-Audio Fast Track Pro

    I downloaded the appropriate driver for my M-Audio Fast Track Pro interface & everything looks fine... BUT I can't adjust the Recording level at all. I am not sure if this is an issue with the M-audio device, or garage band??? It is driving me crazy, since I just want to make some music and can't even hear what is being recorded. ???

    Thanks, .... Yes to all of the above. I am wracking my brain & will call M-Audio tomorrow. Everything looks perfect on the interface & on garage band - but, even though the Fast track Pro shows up in my sound preferences & I can select it as the input & output source, etc., when I go to its window, even hooked up, it says no "device is not connected." Then it details that there are "no input controls" under sound in system preferences. I have two working usb cords & it does the same on either. I think this is the problem & have no idea how to fix it. I just want to plug it all in and record & have lost So much time . Hmmmmm???

  • Change Tracking in SQL 2012 - Behavior Change

    Hi,
    We observed some change in behavior for Change Tracking feature in SQL 2012 Express. Sequence is as follows,
    CT is not enabled at DB level. (Of course at table level too)
    Created and populated table CTTEST with some rows, say 10 rows
    Enabled CT at DB level
    Enable CT for table CTTEST
    Queried change tracking data, using change table function (select CT.* from CHANGETABLE(changes CTTEST, 0) CT). No rows returned. Perfect.
    Updated few existing rows
    Queried change tracking data using CHANGETABLE function as above. Now it returns the modified records. But SYS_CHANGE_OPERATION column shows as 'U', indicating update. Same scenario was tested in SQL 2008 Express, and we got SYS_CHANGE_OPERATION column
    as 'I', indicating as Insert.
    Is this a change in behavior? Can somebody clarify this?
    Note: SQL Version is, "Microsoft SQL Server 2012 - 11.0.2100.60 (X64) Express Edition  (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)"

    Please note that I am not talking about CDC, but CT - Change Tracking and that too in Express edition.
    Yes, I know, when we update primary key value, we will get a delete and insert transactions in CT. But my scenario is different. I am updating the rows, which are already available prior to enabling Change Tracking in that table. In that case only, I am
    observing this.

  • How to get the Reports of Change Tracking Table in MDM?

    Hi!
    Please tell me how to get the reports of Change Tracking Table in MDM which is a System table, directly from MDM without using any interface.
    Thanks in advance for the reply.
    With Best Regards
    Devendra Pandey

    Hi Devendra,
    MDM can track changes on tables and fields. <u>The level of change tracking, and which tables/fields to track, are configurable in the MDM Console</u>. MDM opens a new database on the same database engine as the MDM repository and writes all change records to this database.

    Please let me know where I can see the logs for the changes accomplished.

    Hi Sudha,
    See as per your console settings, everything happened at Database Level table A2i_CM_History so its up to you how do you want to see these record changes either through some Portal application for end user or at database level or through some other UI.

    See figure 5 of this blog before data changes in Data Manager and the same data record in figure 9 of database.
    Now when he make changes to record in figure 10 Data manager the same gets reflected into Database figure 11.
    In fig 11 , please carefully see all the columns NewValue, OldValue, EventTime, FieldName, UserName etc.

  • Setting the record straight for setting recording levels in Logic

    Hey everyone,
    I asked a similar question a while back and got some great feedback, but I'm still a little confused about how to set a perfect recording level and work with the fader in Logic. A lot of what I've been doing has been trial and error and I would like to ask a few more specific questions:
    I record with a MOTU traveler and have recently, for example, been recording direct with my guitar into the MOTU inputs. I am using "pre-fader metering", which is checked, and I using "software monitoring", which is also checked. When I am watching the fader, what should I be looking for? I always have the fader set at 0.0db. How do I set the perfect level in this situation? Should the fader be hitting red as I record? How do I make sure I don't clip, and what should I be watching for overall? AND, is it all the same process when recording with microphones? I've heard Logic records at a low level with MOTU products, but what exaclty does this mean in terms of setting levels and watching the fader as I record? I have been recording a lot lately and have some good sounding tracks and some that are not so great and I think it has a lot to do with the topic of this post.
    Thanks for the help and clarification.

    the fader position in logic does nothing to affect the recording level. That is totally dependent on the gain setting on your MOTU. The logic fader merely allows you to adjust the level at which you listen to the material you are recording. If you set the gain correctly on your MOTU then you shouldn't see the logic audio object hit the red unless your logic fader is set higher than 0dB. If your logic fader is at 0, and you still see red, then your gain is set too high. Remember, digital distortion is not like analog distortion. Once you have recorded the signal and you are in playback mode, then things change somewhat. The internal headroom of logic allows individual channels to hit the red without causing audible distortion. You should definitely avoid hitting the red on your audio output objects though.
    I haven't heard about low levels with MOTU stuff. My own 896 has three settings on the inputs - mic, line and fixed +4dB. If you have variable gain as well, then you should be able to get healthy gain. If your recording level is very low, then recording at 24bit will help a lot towards a more detailed recording, as 16 bit can get grainy if the recorded levels are low.

    You can look at the blog or I can email you the document .
    Here are some of the tips from the blog
    Hope this will solve your problem.
    Change Tracking is a feature in SAP MDM, Using which we can track history of table records for the repositories. There are three are options, Track Adds, is track new field value when a record added. Track Modifies, track old and new values when the field is modified. Track Deletes, tacks old-field value when a record is deleted. In addition, for each type of change you can track, the setting of the root node of the Tables and Fields hierarchy determines the default setting for new tables added to the MDM repository. Similarly, for normal tables, the setting for each table node determines the default setting for new fields added to the table. Finally, the setting for each field node determines the actual setting for the field
    Step I>>Activate Change Tracking.
    Navigate the Selected repository,
    (your repository)>Admin>Change Tracking.
    Click on Change Tracking, you will get Change Tracking Setting screen. Then choose the level of tracking root node of Table and Fields. In addition, there are three type tracking. That are Track Adds>>this option tracks new field value when a record is added, Track Modifies >> this option tracks old and new values when the field is modified, and Track Deletes >> this option tracks old field value when a record is deleted
    Step III>>Logon to MS SQL Server
    Start>Programs>Microsofr SQL Server-->Enterprise Manager,See the screen shot below for SQL Server logon.
    You will get the SQL Server Enterprise Manager. See the screen below. Select the Database for the respective Repository (BP3_Customer_Workshop). For the each repository, there are two databases XXXX_m000 and XXXX_z000.
    There are two databases CustomerWorkshop_M000 and CustomerWorkshop_Z000
    Select the table A2i_CM_History under the CustomerWorkshop_Z000 and select query as below screen.
    Choose/select the fields that you want execute the report/show.
    You can find the record, which I (the user name 'mdmg') have edited at 9/6/2006 11:44:39, as seen below screen

  • Not able to view actual Price updated 'Value' in Change Tracker

    I was able to get my Change tracker to work and it is functioning. (SRM 5.0 MDM5.5 )... Configured Portal iViews for change tracker.
    If I change a description I can see it in the change tracker application. But if I try and track a Price change it only shows me a date-time  and user as to I when the price was changed it doesnu2019t show me the actual value changed, for my audit purposes.
    On the portal the change tracker "Field" dropdown shows -> Price Updated. this is what is tracking any change of price.
    In MDM Console-> Admin->Change Tracker I am tracking under Catalog Items: Price information, Price Updated, Special search terms, long description.
    When I look at the Data manager in the Record Detail, I see  u2018Price Updatedu2019 and it only has a Date and time stamp. In this same Record Detail,  I see the field Price Information that contains :Lower bound, Purchasing Info record ID, Purchasing Organization, Amount and Currency.  Amount-> contains the actual price value. This is what i want to see in the portal iView as Old value and New value....this is what I am unable to view? theres one small step i am not doing...
    I am trying to track the actual change in the filed u2018Amountu2019u2026 I have tried to search for it in the Portal iView fields (table, record contains, fields, record)
    cheers
    alex

    Hi Alex,
    I would not here comment on change Tracking functionality but can you suggest another workaround to achieve this requirement. If it fits in your requirement you can go ahead with it.
    In MDM, Create another field in Main table say Initial Price and for already existing field Amount replace its name with Updated Price in Qualified table Price.
    now after this you will see that your by default Updated Price has values as it was your Amount field earlier and Initial Price field as empty. Now for next time, if any record comes using Import Manager then MDM workflow should trigger at Record Import.
    This workflow contains following steps.
    Start(Checkout)>Assign>Stop(CheckIn)
    Assign step should have below expression and assignment:
    Price Information.Updated Price
    Where I am assuming Price Information is the field in main table which is look up to this qualified table Price.
    So in this way you can maintain both existing and updated values of Price and cant then show in your Catalog.
    suppose you have already existing record say 1 which has value of Amount as 20.
    So that means you have Updated Price as 20 and Initial Price as empty(Null)
    Now when same record 1 updates with new Amount say 40, it triggers this workflow on record import which will then assign value of existing updated Price 20 to Initial Field after that Updated Price will update by 40.
    Note: This Assignment works well only if your main table record has this Qualified table link as single record. If your main table record contains more than one qualified links then this Assignment would not work fine. So use only if it fits.

  • Creating new tracks when recording in Cycle (loop) mode

    I'm having an issue when recording in cycle mode.. I'm able to record (in seperate tracks) in cycle mode. however I can only play the first take (first track) I recorded, however all the subsequent tracks that were recorded do not play. Even when I try 'soloing' them they still don't play. You can see in the arrange window that audio data was recorded on those tracks however they have a "faded" effect to them. They're also not muted. Am I missing a setting?

    The issue you describe when recording in cycle mode was a huge frustration for me until I discovered that I was not aware of a simple principle that made all of the difference... I am wondering if the following explanation may be part of the problem that you are experiencing.
    The principle is that muting a region, muting a track, and muting an audio channel are three distinct and separate functions. Until I got my head around that principle, I continued experiencing the same frustration that you are having with recording in cycle mode.
    Recording in cycle mode results in muting the regions below the last take at the top. When trying to unmute the "tracks" below the top region to listen to the other takes, hitting the mute button results in ALL of the "tracks" either being muted or unmuted, yet the separate regions below are still muted!
    The key is to unmute the REGION that you want to listen to (and not the track or the channel). The way to do this is to hit the escape key to bring up a local tool box menu wherever your cursor is... then click on the mute tool which changes the cursor into a mute tool, then click on whatever regions you want to unmute...
    Hopefully the above will help.

  • How do I enable a track to record in Premiere Pro CS4?

    I'm on a macbook. I have a SM57 mic plugged in via an XLR to USB cable. I have tested this mic via garage band, and it works and records fine.
    In Premiere Pro preferences I have chosen C-media USB Audio Device.
    In mac's Audio MIDI setup, I have chosen C-media USB Audio Device as Default Input.
    In Premiere Pro, I have clicked on Audio 1 to highlight that's the track I want to record to.
    Yet when I click on the Mic picture in the Audio Mixer to enable track for recording, it does nothing, no drop down box, no indication that I clicked it (other than highlighting itself in yellow for a brief moment).
    Then I click the record button, it starts flashing, waiting for me to click play.
    Then I click play and a message comes up "You cannont record without enabling at least one track for recording"
    Where am I going wrong?
    Any help is much appreciated.

    ASIO4All - that's for Windows only, right? I'm on a mac.
    I've been looking into using Soundbooth, which does recognise my USB connection.
    Any tips for workflow between Premiere Pro and Soundbooth?
    At the moment it looks like I'll have to edit my video footage first (it has no audio track),
    then having watched the rough cut, record my voiceover in Soundbooth, adjust  levels etc.
    then import those voiceover files into Premiere Pro and edit them in timeline to match my video.
    Not exactly ideal.
    Is there any way of watching  the rough cut while recording the voiceover?
    Or am I better off recording the voiceover in Premiere Pro with my rubbish Line in connection, then taking it into Soundbooth to boost/clean up?
    Thanks

  • Record level lock on SAP ABAP table editing

    Hello All,
    I have a requirement wherein I need to give users ability to be able to update contents of a table. Currently, there are using maintenance view on the table for adding/editing contents of this table. However, this prevents other users from being able to enter the table and edit contents of other records within the table.
    Can anybody please guide me how do I go about giving record level edit lock on the table instead of entire table edit lock.
    Appreciate all responses.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Samta.

    Ok
    I  have had a request like yours, i.e the users could manage the same table in the same time.
    The standard behavior avoids it, because a lock of entire table is set.
    This was my solution:
    A) I've created a maintenance view for my table, and I set the attibute S (for subset) for all fields will be the key I want to lock.
    B) I've generated the maintenance table program for the view above.
    In this way if it try to manage the view by SM30, it'll be possible only to indicate the  values of the fields for the subset, so not all data of the table will be loaded, but only the records satisfying  the key.
    C) I've created a program to run SM30 for my view, using the fm VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL:
    .CALL FUNCTION 'VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL'
           EXPORTING
                action      = 'S'  "Display mode
                view_name   = <table name>
           TABLES
                dba_sellist = tb_sellist
           EXCEPTIONS
                OTHERS      = 14.
    As you can see above, the SM30 is always called for DISPLAY only, in this way no standard lock is set
    D) I've use the event 19 in order to change the mode and set my lock:
    DATA: BEGIN OF MY_LOCK,
              MANDT       TYPE ZPPTA019-MANDT,
              WERKS       TYPE ZPPTA019-WERKS,
              /TRILOG/SE  TYPE ZPPTA019-/TRILOG/SE,
              COD_MOD_TAG TYPE ZPPTA019-COD_MOD_TAG,
            END OF MY_LOCK.
      DATA: W_SEL_LIST TYPE VIMSELLIST.
      DATA: VARKEY TYPE RSTABLE-VARKEY.
      FIELD-SYMBOLS: <MY_KEY> TYPE ANY.
      LOOP AT DBA_SELLIST INTO W_SEL_LIST
        WHERE VIEWFIELD = 'WERKS'
          OR  VIEWFIELD = '/TRILOG/SE'
          OR  VIEWFIELD = 'COD_MOD_TAG'.
        ASSIGN COMPONENT W_SEL_LIST-VIEWFIELD
           OF STRUCTURE MY_LOCK TO <MY_KEY>.
        IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
          MOVE W_SEL_LIST-VALUE TO <MY_KEY>.
        ENDIF.
      ENDLOOP.
      IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
        IF NOT MY_LOCK IS INITIAL.
          MY_LOCK-MANDT = SY-MANDT.
          VARKEY = MY_LOCK.
          CALL FUNCTION 'ENQUEUE_E_TABLEE'
            EXPORTING
              MODE_RSTABLE   = 'E'
              TABNAME        = 'ZPPTA019'
              VARKEY         = VARKEY
            EXCEPTIONS
              FOREIGN_LOCK   = 1
              SYSTEM_FAILURE = 2
              OTHERS         = 3.
          IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
            MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE 'S' NUMBER SY-MSGNO
                    WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
          ELSE.
            MAINT_MODE = VIEW_ACTION = 'U'.
          ENDIF.
        ENDIF.
      ENDIF.

  • Issue in Change tracker application

    Hi all,
    We have enabled Change tracking in our repository when it was enabled there were only 3 Display fields in our repository and the tracking was done as is in the change tracking application under the column Record shows all the Display fields.
    Now because of business requirements we have activated another field in our repository as a Display field, now when i login to change tracking application old records under Record column still shows the 3 Display fields in the Record column of the change tracker application.
    I went and changed a record which falls in the Change tracking criteria, now i see 4 Display fields in the Record column of change tracker application as there are 4 display fields currently.
    There is an in consistency in the data in the application now for few records there are 3  and 4 fields in the record column. Is this how the system behaves?
    I think the logic is like this when ever there is a change happening in the repository, insert query is used to update the A2I_CM_History table with the existing data(at that moment how many fields were enabled as  DISPLAY )with out any relationship to the Main table Display fields. Please correct me if i am wrong, it was just an assumption.
    If any workarounds to this problem will be of a great help.
    regards
    Sowseel

    Hi Gabor,
    Thanks for your reply!
    We have checked that note and we have indexes existing for few other fields as well in the table, but still we are facing the same issue.
    Thanks & Regards,
