Change Transport Request of a OSS Note

Hi,
We have implemented 10 OSS notes in one of our environements and saved all the notes in a single Transport Request. But we need to change Transport Request for 5 of these notes.
Can anyone suggest the best way to change the transport request of a OSS Note, which should change the transport request of objects that are part of manual corrections as well?
Thanks,
Phani

I understand the other 5 notes are required as well, just in a different transport request. Assuming that some are complex fixes touching many objects and might even be dependent on each other, maybe the safest way would be to reverse all 10 as described (in reverse order as they have been applied, last in first out), delete the transport request, then apply them again using the desired transport requests.
Manual steps need special attention, as always.

    Hi Bharat ,
You can chnage the description of the transport request if thesame is not moved from Development --> to Quality .
Use T Code SE09/SE01 and select the required transport request no  and Double click on the same .
Then click on Change  Icon and properties Tab . Here you can change the description of the Transport request.
    Thanks and regards

  • Query Changes Transport Request

I created TP request for query keyfigure properties decimal poing change.I imported TP request to GRA. I have not seen changes in GRA.
Query in GRA is Display mode. when i try to open the query i am getting message authorisation check is required.
anybody idea how to reflect the changes in GRA query keyfigure decimal point changes.
    please let me know.

    Hi,
You have to make sure that all the elements of the queries are captured in the transport request. For that, in transport connection, while capturing the query, filter on "ELEM" and include them in transport connection.
As for authorization, you will not have it except in development. Thatu2019s the reason why you can not change the query in GRA directly. You always have to transport the changes.

  • Planning book changes transport request failed in quality.

    Hi all,
I have to make some changes in Macros for one of our planning book. As per practice I made these changes in Development and tested everything looks fine and created transport request to Quality. Request failed in quality with error code 8. which says individual objects could n to transport succesfully. I further tried to analyze the issue and looked at objects and they look like Slections ids were failed. Can anyone advie how do I locate and correct these - .
I created transport request from function sapapo/tsobj and selected the planning book. I think this has selected all selctions ids also. Later I created another transport request from Planning book and this went through succesfully.
But how I can corect the old transport request which is showing in red light as error.
    Thanks
    KV

    Hi KV,
Regarding your wrong request, you can't dop much about it.
Don't worry, I will be suprise if you were the first to have a wrong request in your system.
I suggest you check your internal practice to know how to handle this kind of request.
But basically the idea is: do not transport further. If possible "reject" it to ensure nobody will ever transport it.
Another point: in your case it looks like you don;t really want to transport selection. It is however quite useful to do so, especially for the selection used in background job. I often suggest to:
    1. Have different naming convention for batch jobs selection and selection for interactive use (you can even control selection creation / usage with autorisation to avoid misuse)
    2. transport all selections related to batch job. If you decide to do so, you need to ensure all these selections are correctly defined in your development AND you need to delete this selection in all your target system (to avoid the locking issue you got)
Sorry if all  this is a bit outside topic...
    I hope it helps

  • How to change Transport request into local object $temp.?

    Hi experts,
I would like to know to how to change a Transport request into and local object.
I have already assigned Infopackage to TR, but its not required. We dont want this infopackage to be transported to prod. So how can i change that as a local object.
    Please put our valuable inputs.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Dubbu

    Go To that Infopackage ,
Extras Menu----Object catalog entry.  There you can change package name.
    or
In SE09---Under the transport requests you can search for the infopackage name and delete from the TR.

  • How to change transport request to local object again--plz help

    Hi all,
By mistake I saved my FM in transport request. It is not released yet.I want it to be back in local object.Issue is that, when i deleted subrequest and that object from se09,package is not getting changed because the Function group is SAP standard, and not allowing changes.
Plz help.....I am in real problem..
    Thanks in advance
    Meena

    Hi,
    Goto SE01,
    enter the TR number
    DISPLAY
    Expand the TR object list
Place cursor on the object & right click & select DELETE object
You will get a popup asking the object is locked..do u want to proceed.. say YES
This will remove the object from the TR..
Now you can delete the TR if it doesnt hv any other objects. If you delete the TR then object wud authomatically come under local objects.
    else...
Open the object & goto attributes.. change the class & save.
    Best regards,

  • How to change transport Request of an Object

    Hi all,
I had assigned a transport request for an object (DTP) in transport organizer. Now i need to put this object in a different transport Request number. Is this possible? If so can someone suggest me how to do this?
    Thanks
    Maddy

    Delete the DTP.
Add the DTP to the new request - You can do this in SE03 or Transport Connection.
    Or
Merge Requests using Context Menu on the Request.
    Or
Open the DTP - Extras ( ? ) _ Object Direct Entry - Click on Change - Assign it to a new request. - You have to delete the DTP/Unlock it from the earlier request.

  • How to change transport request

    hi,
i have accidentally select the wrong transport request number when create a report at SE38, which i dont want and i would want to create a new request number .
but i were unable to do so. can any one help me on this? thanks

If you have assigned the report to a wrong request.
Go to SE10, open the request, then the task, place the cursor on the report name (the report which you do not wnt in that request) and press the delete button on the task bar. This will delete only the entry of the report name from the request. the remaining objects in the request remain the same.
Now open SE38, with the new report and press save, this will prompt for a transport request, create a new one and save it
Please do not open multiple threads for teh same query.
    Regards

  • Changing transport Request

    Hi
Accidentally i Put all my Bex object in diffrent tranport  day GBDK 92100. Now i would like to change it to GBDK92200. When i am trting to do that. It says objects are locked . Release all objects .
Could  you tell the procedure to change the tranport request .
    Thanks in Advance

If there are  elements in your transport that are loacked then release or delet the old transport in which you collecetd nby mistake or you can try unclocking the elements and delete the elements from wrong transport and recollect in new transport .
To delete an element you ahve to go to tools in SE10 and then put in your old request and then unlock the request and then come back and double clik on your tarnsport and edit and select your elements that youw ant to delee and then delete them and then save your cahnges. Thus you unlock your elements and delet them from worng request now you can go back collect them againa nd transport them in the correct one.
Make sure there is no open transport while collectinga nd transporting othet than the one you want as that would collect your changes in the open transport.

  • Note 1304803 reports can change transp requests? has anyone applied note?

    Found the following notes
1304803 Security breach.  Certain reports that do not have authorization check can create or change transport requests  and change the piece list of a request
    and
12988160 - Ability to execute undesired source code in the system using a special call of an RFC module (no further details as to what the 'undesired source code is'  has been defined)
Has anyone applied these notes? if so how do you check if the hole exists and then after the note has been applied how does one verify that the security breach has been corrected?

Via the corrections of the note, you will often be able to put the puzzle pieces together to be able to "test" whether it is corrected and how... The fact that there are sometimes follow-on notes to such program corrections is evidence of this. Some knowledge and creativity will be required for this.
If you want to be carefull of side affects (or find the guilty ones...) then try where-used-list look-ups on the objects being corrected to see where and how they are being used. Not 100% reliable because of dynamic coding techniques, but a good indicator for auditable development work...
Expressions such as "undesired source code" generally refer to remotely definable but internally executable source code, without appropriate checks in between.
If you cannot test it yourself and SAP releases the note as a "Security Note", then these are generally implementable without SAP standard consequences. If something in the z-custom world is bothered by it, you can normally be sure that you already have the problem "in da house"...

  • Error while assigning objects to Transport Request

    Hi All,
while  assigning a Transfromation to a Treq i am getting an error saying
Object '7KU37C7IG3T7AQ5NHSLEZVC91' (ROUT) of type 'Routine' is not available in version 'A'
    Message no. RSO252
    Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name '7KU37C7IG3T7AQ5NHSLEZVC91' (in transport request ROUT) of type 'Routine' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. It does not exist in the requested version A. If the version is 'D' then it is possible that an error arose during the delivery or installation. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.
    System Response
The object was not taken into account in the next stage of processing.
Kindly advice how to rectify this error

    Hi,
You see the which infoobejct contains that routine and first collect that infoobejct and transport it then transport Transfromation. I hope you are missing some Routines while collecting the Transformations into request.
    See OSS Notes:
Note 613581 - Transfer structure does not exist in version 'D'
    Note 508921 - P11:Content transfer:RSO 252 or RSO 296:InfoObject
Note 1157873 - BI7.0(SP18) Message RSO 252 using transport connection

    Hi Siddique,
Looks like your RFC destination is wrong. The proper syntax is FINBTR@<system>CLNT <client>.

  • Transport Request in ChangeRequest Mamnagement

    Hi all,
While creating a transport request from solution manager,it creates 2 request-one customization and one work bench. Why it creates 2 request?Pls help on the above issue.

It creates one transport request for ABAP changes and another for configuration changes.  You use whichever one you need to make the required changes.  Later in the process, when you perform the "Complete Development" on the Normal Correction, Solution Manager will delete any Transport Tasks or Transport Requests that you did not use.
Having said all of that, I ofen get the error "System cancel RFC destination SM_TSHCLNT030_TMW, Call TR40_ORDER_DELETE: Trying to establish a connection using RFC destina tion SM_TSHCLNT030_TMW" when Solution Manager tries to perform this action.  I end up having to delete the empty Transport Tasks and Transport Requests manually on the satellite system in order to be able to "Complete Development" on the Normal Correction.  For Urgent Corrections, the equivalent process works fine.

    Hi ,
Along with provided details Some info about server .
In SAP Landscape we have a server system called SAP architecture
    DEV, QAS and PROD.
    -  DEV would have multiple clients.
190- Sandbox -Sandbox doesn't affect the other servers or clients its standalone system
100- Golden- dev and changes transferred to next level via transports it contains all configuration and master data .So all the configuration settings are done in golden clients and then moved to other clients. Hence this client acts as a master copy for all settings to be done so called "Golden Client"..
180- Unit Test- if configures then Transports from golden client will come here .
    - QAS may again have mutiple clients
      300- Integration Test
      700 to 710 Training.
    -  PROD usually have one client
this depends on how is the client's business scenario.
    Request flow like
    DEVELOPMENT -> QUALITY -> PRODUCTION
DEVELOPMENT : where developer create new objects and flow or change existing one .
QUALITY : The objects moved from Dev tested as it has large amount of data and usually a copy of production so new development get tested with real time data and any bugs etc found can be fixed back in dev and get transported again .
PRODUCTION : Day to day business data is present here coming from different systems (R/3 ,flat file ,NON SAP system etc).
--In quality or producation you cannot see your transport request and it will not allow you to change object .
--Usually we have only access to create DTP ,Process chain ,Program etc in Production but we cannot change transfromation etc as the flow can not be disturbed .
--To see the status of your objects in any system which are moved via transport you need to see logs in Dev system .
--this will also tell you which systems are connected to your dev system .
Hopw this will  be helpful .
