Change value of GV_MAXROWS for method GET_DATA for class CL_THTMLB_F4HELP

I am working on the F4 help of a custom field on the WebUI screen.
I have implemented the GET_V method of the context node attribute and it is working fine, and displaying the results in the F4 help. However, I need to filter these values. So, I have created a Searchhelp exit.
The issue is while filtering in Search help exit, the record_tab[] is filled with only first 500 entries. For this I have manually changed the value of CALLCONTROL-MAXRECORDS = '99999' and it fetches all the existing records in GUI and the filtering works fine. But the same logic doesn't work for Web UI screen. The reason for this is, from Web UI, the class CL_THTMLB_F4HELP is called. In this the method GET_DATA is used to fetch the records. Here there is a field gv_maxrows that is by default '500'. Now, in debugging if i change this to '99999', it works fine. So, how can I do this in coding. How can I change the value of gv_maxrows of the method GET_DATA of the class CL_THTMLB_F4HELP. Can I do this in GET_V method or in the Search Help exit.

I think that I was not clear in my requirement actually i need to add the document to a folder in a product catalog. So the document is stil not there.
please suggest to get the folder info where the document needs to be attached.

How to Change Value set Dynamically for a Parameter in Apps?

I have a requirement where i need to change the value set dynamically for a given Parameter. This goes as, I have a Concurrent Program with 4 parameters. First Parameter is mandatory Business group.Second Parameter is Warehouse. Based up on the First parameter the second parameters LoV's are displayed, the third and fourth parameters value sets are dependent up on the Second parameter value. Parameter 2,3,4 Value sets are Table type. So i Used .$FLEX$.Value_setname to retrive the LOV's
The Requirment now is that if the User doesn't enter the Parameter 2 than the Third Parameter field must be Open and he must be able to enter the Free text. In my case it is an Order Number. If the User enters the paramter 2 value than LOV's for ORder number pertaining to that Warehouse must get displayed. I've figured that this can be possible only if i change the Valuesets Dyanamically. I'm not sure if that is possible or not.
I have tried :
Using a Dummy Parameter with a new valueset(Transactable Independent) and giving Y and N based up on Warehouse parameter input.
SELECT (DECODE ( :$FLEX$.WAREHOUSE_NAMES,NULL,'Y','N')) from dual;
The default type was SQL.
Then in the 3rd Parameter i have used Case function to differentiate Y or N. The third parameter being ORder number, is a table type and derived from Oe_order_headers_all.
In the Query section i tried using dummy parameter value set to retreive the values. I was terribly Unsuccessful in doing so.
Does the above Case exists or is Doable? Please, Help me out if somone had worked on Similar thing or have any idea of standard report/program using it in Oracle.

You will probably have better luck on the eBusinesSuite forum. This is more of a setup issue when defining your LOV and program parameters than it is a SQL or PL/SQL issue.

How to change value of constant for "Disabled" Property Node?

Hello all,
I'm attaching a vi example of what I'm wanting to do. It is happening during the event for "Left Selectorrogrammed 1: Value change.
Basically I've created a property node for a LED boolean control. After it is clicked, I am wanting to disable it so the user cannot change the value (I have a reset all button for use on that).
I've created the property node for this control for Disabled. When I am in the block diagram, I change it to write mode.
I've rt clicked on it, and said "create constant", which it does. However, the constant comes up every time as "Enabled". I've tried clicking all over this constant, and looking through all the properties, but I cannot figure out how to toggle through the values or set the value of this constant from "Enabled" to "Disabled".
I see where you can edit the items of this constant...but I'm guessing there is some way to toggle this constant to the value you wish....any suggestions?

To change a constant value your cursor needs to be in the "finger" mode.
You can select this by holding down shift and right-clicking on the diagram - then select the finger.
Another way is to set Automatic Tool selection:
Tools >> Options >> Environment >> Lock automatic tool selection
With this option, LabVIEW will choose the tools for you.
Play with it a bit to see how it works.

Best approach to change values in .properties file dynamically

Hi ,
I am using Jdev 11.1.1.5 . I wanted to change the values used in .properties file (like say a fe email addresses which happen to be different for Test/Prod/Dev instances) dynamically using something like a deployment plan.
One way to do the same is to include it in a shared libary and do a one -time deployment to the server.
Are there any better ways like a deployment plan , which unfortunately I think can change values dynamically on for web.xml , weblogic.xml type of files.

I am using a shared library which takes care of the cases mentioned above.

In crystal Report I have made a Group of T0.firstName which is the Employee Name, Second I have made a group of T4.U_Note wherein Each Month is displayed ( E.g Jan, Feb, March, April, May...till December ).
I have bought u_ebasic ( which is the basic salary ) in the second group row. Next T1.u_ehra and so on side by.
Hence the reports looks like

Means Jan09 should show as its the starting then March 09 with the value of 6000 for Basic and Hra should show as its revised, then August 09 should show with the corresponding vales and supress or skip all data where there is no change.
How to achieve such conditions through Crystal Report. Please advise.

Actually, my input is quite simillar to what Graham has suggested. only difference is the object should be suppressed and the display of data should be handled.
because your core requirement is to conditionally display the data based on some logic.
Let me rephrase the statement
Instaad of putting the database fields directly into the designer, please use formulae variables.
that means, the new formulae which you have created each will hold each database field.
Design the blank report with formuale and use suppress option of the object to conditionally display the data you want.
Int his way, you will have less maintenance in future. My idea is similar to adhoc reporting.

How to change value separator for html_Get function?

I have application process, which gives invoice related information (date, amount,number). I run this process using html_Get function. Problem is with invoice amount. In polish localization decimal separator is comma (,). Then for an invoice issued today with value 1100.20 with number AA1 process returns: 2010-07-01,1100,20,AA1. It seems to be 4 values instead of expected 3.
Is it possible to change value separator to ';'? Or maybe there is another solution for this problem.

Joins together all the elements in an array to produce a single string. If no separator argument is passed through a comma is assumed.

Wlst script to change values for Logging.

i am trying to write a wlst script to change attributes for the following.( i am new to wlst scripting)
For all servers in a domain,
Logging --> General --> Check Limit number of retained files
--> Files to retain to different number.
--> Log file Severity Level
--> Standard out Severity Level
--> Demain log broadcaster Severity level
--> Memory Buffer Severity Level
Logging --> HTTP --> Check Limit number of retained files
--> Files to retain to different number.
I was able to figure out the path for some of the attributes in Logging --> General.

Thanks for the response. I was able to figure out that access.log file attributes are in /Servers/AdminServer/WebServer/AdminServer/WebServerLog/AdminServer.
And now i trying change script to apply for all the servers.

Being the OIM noob that I am, had no idea where to look.
We do indeed have some user defined fields of 4000 characters.
I am now wondering if I can disable auditing, or maybe increase the size of the auditing database column?
Also, I guess I should raise a defect in OIM as the User Interface should not allow the creation of a user field for which auditing is unable to cope.
I also wonder if the audit failures (other than causing lots of stack traces) causes any transaction failures due to transaction rollbacks?

How to change the iterator collection for a table dynamically?

Hi all,
I am required to change the table iterator dynamically based on the some logic. Is this possible?
Attempted this by trying to set "value" using a bean -
value=#{backingBeanScope.chkBean.getCollectionModel}
This bean method returns either of the below based on condition =
#{bindings.MyVO1.collectionModel}
#{bindings.MyVO2.collectionModel}
Am I doing something wrong?

have multiple VO instances and the pagedef
iterator Binds="#{pageFlowScope.OrderBean.pageIterList.pageIterId}"
in the bean:
public Map getPageIterList() {
return itrMap;
another method in the bean:
itrMap = new HashMap();
put value(vo instance) for pageIterId in this map and call this method in the TF.

Dump in Value-Help Component for date

I created a Value-Help-Component for date fields. (I cannot use the standard value help, because I need the help to start in the month, the user is working on).
I am using the Date Navigator to select a date.
If I first change the month with an arrow of the date navigator and then select a date I get a dump in the method IF_WD_CONTEXT_ELEMENT~GET_ATTRIBUTE_REF in line
attr_info = me->node_info->if_wd_context_node_info~get_attribute( name_only ).
, because the element does not have a node_info.
If I just choose a date in the preselected month (without using the arrows of the date navigator) everything is fine.
Does anybody have an idea??

I found the "solution" to the problem myself.
I used the method bind_structure in the component containing the date navigator.
After I replaced it by set_static_attributes it worked without producing dumps.
Very strange!

Changing the custom XML for a flash chart dynamically

Hello
I am wondering if anyone has found a way to change the custom XML
for a flash chart dynamically.
For instance.
On the www.anychart.com website their is a gallery with charts.
I have studied one called "2Dlinetimechart. It has hours on the X-axis.
When I view the XML for this chart.
I found this enrty
- <block color="0x0080C0" border_color="0x0080C0" name="Sales dept.">
<set value="0" argument="0" name="00:00" />
<set value="1" argument="0" name="01:00" />
It uses the tag value to set the position on the X-axis. But the tag name to set the labels on the X-axis.
I have not found a way to do this in application express 3.0.
Therefore I wonder if I can change to XML dynamically, and build my own block based on the input I have.
Or even build a chart, based on a xml that I create first then sends to the object that renders the chart.
