Changes will be lost

When downloading images from my camera, I receive the message: "Changes will be lost" "You have made changes to your current thumbnails. Switching devices will cause all of these changes to be lost. Do you want to continue and switch devices?" What is the meaning of this?

This is only possible with clientside stuff, like JavaScript, because navigating away is not a HTTP form submit action, so serverside languages as JSF for sure cannot be used. Googling using the keyword "onunload" might give interesting results =)
If you really want to do this with JSF: make all navigation links UICommand form actions using h:commandLink or h:commandButton instead of h:outputLink or even a href links. Implement valueChangeListeners in every UIInput component and compare getNewValue() with getOldValue() to see if something is changed. But this all will not work if you use the browser back button or close button.

From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset. Relaunch Safari. If you still see that dialog...
Go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Preferences. Make note of all the preferences under each tab. Quit Safari. Now go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.safari.plist to the Desktop.
Relaunch Safari and see if that makes a difference. If not, move the .plist file back to the Preferences folder. If Safari functions as it should, move that .plist file to the Trash.

When trying to deleted contact in address book receive error message "Contact updated externally. Changes will be lost and the viewer closed"

I recently added a contact sent to me via BBM as .vcf file and when i try to delete this one particular contact i get the following error message error message “Contact updated externally. Changes will be lost and the viewer closed“.
I have added contacts using the .vcf received via BBM but never encountered this issue.
I've reset the device, deleted in Outlook as i'm on a BES server and still the same.
Anyone have this problem?

And in this page http://forums.crackberry.com/f79/address-updated-externally-error-56528/, the same problem is exsit too, and I have skim it but to find no usefu informatin at all.

When editing page styles, can I turn off the "changes you have made will be lost" warning on refresh?

To reproduce:
Right click an element -> Inspect Element.
Uncheck any style value in the right-hand menu, or add one.
Refresh (Command-R) now comes up with a warning that the Inspector will be closed and changes will be lost.
Can I turn off this warning, or dismiss it using a keyboard shortcut?
I guess there's the lingering feature request of keeping the inspector open on a page after a refresh, but that's a more involved change than turning off this warning. A simple boolean in about:config would be great.

When I open a saved document in pages, then close it right away without making any changes, why does it ask if I would like to save the page or all new info will be lost?

I have a few saved documents and when I open them to view them quick, sometimes when I close it, I will get asked if I would like to save the document or all my new info will be lost. I didnt change anything so Im not sure why it asks me that. When I open the document again, all the info is there and nothing is different. Thanks

Unless they were Word documents, Pages has done nothing really, but it is updating date information in the file.
It is annoying but just ignore it and don't save.

CATW: Can't swith to next/previous week: changed data will be lost

Hello!
In CATW, when clicking on Previous or Next button without saving, we get the message: "Changed data will be lost". Even if we confirm this by clicking on "OK", the screen does not change and we remain on the first input.
Does anyone know what is wrong? I already tried to look for a note without any result.

We had a similar issue with CATW timesheet in ECC 6.0. This thread was very useful in getting the solution for our issue. As a novice to ITS application we stuggled a lot tyring to get our exisitng CATW application in 4.7 to work as an Integrated ITS application.
We experimented with different parameters both on the service (SE80) and configuration parameters in SICF. Our current understanding is that the parameter value maintained in SICF overrides that in SE80.
We have the following parameters in SE80 for CATW service:
~SINGLETRANSACTION 1
~THEME 99
~WEBGUI 1
~WEBGUI_SIMPLE_TOOLBAR 1
We have the following parameters in SICF for CATW service:
~WEBGUI 1
~THEME 99
~WEBGUI_SIMPLE_TOOLBAR 32
~SINGLETRANSACTION 1
~TRANSACTION CATW
With this the old CATW screens are working. I understand ~THEME 99 (Do not use sl) will allow to get the old CATW screens.
One more thing we did is that we synchronized all the templates and mime objects in ECC 6.0 with 4.7. Except for screen 4000 rest of the templates are in sync. This screen is missing in ECC 6.0
We activated the SAP ICons, Mimes services in SICF as well.
With this the old CATW ITS application is working fine as an Integrated ITS application.
If we set the value of ~TRANSACTION CAT2 we get the new CAT2 screens with missing icons. However we would like to stick to older ITS application look and feel so we are not bothering about this any more.

how do you sign in to apple id to make changes if you lost recovery key and removed one of my trusted devices they are both still associated but only one is trusted my macbook pro is still trusted but neither it or the 5c can get pass the log in section where it asks for the recovery key!!!!!!!!

Going to need a lot more info on what your are trying to do and why you are doing it.
Signing into an Apple ID is easy. Open whatever needs and Apple ID and sign in using the ID name, usually a email address, and the password associated with that name. you will then be signed in.
And please refrain from the profanity.

Undo history will be lost message

Whenever I make a change to any file in a book, when I save the changed file I get the message "Cannot be undone. Undo history will be lost. OK to continue?" I an unable to find the setting that will make this message go away. Can anyone help?

A struct in the application scope will be lost / damaged

we have a strange problem with our CFMX 7,0,2, perhaps
somebody can help?
In the application.cfm a xml-file will be loaded, parsed and
saved as a struct in an application variable. This will take place
only if the struct isn't defined. We set the application variable
exclusive by cflock. After some times, the struct or an element of
the struct will be lost. At this time, we get "Null Pointer
Exceptions".

you can use the isDefined function in the onRequestStart
function in Application.cfc
I have never had an application scoped variable / object get
lost or damaged in the way that you're describing.
are you loading it in the onApplicationStart function of
Application.cfc ? that would be a good place to do it.
oh, actually, I did have a contractor who assigned the
application name dynamically, I think the name contained the
current date so each time the date would change the application
would change - you might want to make sure that is not happening to
you.

Weight will be lost in substitute material

The net weight & cross weight are missing for the substitute material when I create a material determination order.
I set material-B as a substitute material of material-A, and the "Reason for material substitution" is 0004 (Automatic production selection). Net weight and cross weight both maintain in material-A ans material-B master data. When I create a sales order (OR), the material-A item category is TAX and material-B item category is TAPS, but the weight field is zero in material-B and the also can not be changed.
Why the weight will be lost in substitute material-B? Then I changed the "Reason for material substitution" to 0005 (manually production selection). The material-B subsituted material-A, but the weight of material-B is not missing.

Some more information might give some clue. For example, what type of files are these? are they media fiels? are they files created and saved by you from applications like word, excel etc? Does this happen in any particular folder like in documents folder or other location? When you try to see them in finder how do you go about it? you start from the sidebar? more info, or a step by step of a specific instance would help how you end up 'losing' them. Cheers.

Some recent changes may be lost. Make sure your hard disk has enough space and that iPhoto is able to access the iPhoto Library folder.
Photos imported to iPhoto, aren't saved.
And, when I scroll down the photos, the photo shows, then it changes to another one.

The message means just what it says.
You need to keep approx 10% of your HD space free so that the OS can use it for temporary files and virtual memory. Once you drop below this, things begin to go wrong. For instance
the photo shows, then it changes to another one.
is evidence of iPhoto having trouble accessing its' cache. A symptom of insufficient free space on your HD. This, in turn, may lead to corruption of your database.
This will cause problems with all apps, not just iPhoto. They'll begin to crash randomly, be unable to save etc.
So start making space on your HD.

You shouldn't lose anything after updating, but note that some apps may not be ready for iOS 7 and may not work or may work worse than with iOS 6, so first check that they are updated. If the books were purchased at the iBookStore, you will be able to redownload, like the apps. Some other sellers, like O'Reilly, also allow multiple downloads.
If you have (or can install) iTunes on a computer (Mac preferable, not mandatory) and run it then plug the device in, does it show up? If the computer can detect it, you can and should do a complete backup onto local storage immediately. That can then be used to reconstruct the content of the device on a new or repaired replacement. If you enable encryption, even the passwords will get saved.

SVG 1.1 and "Clipping will be lost on roundtrip to Tiny"

I have the following SVG 1.1 file that will not load correctly into Illustrator. It keeps complaining that "Clipping will be lost on roundtrip to Tiny". I have cut and paste the file below so you can try it. I also have a far bigger file with masks and paths arranged in a similar manner that works just fine. Why is this file loading in incorrectly?
