Changing a fields type after validation

I am having an issue with trying to figure out how to change a fields type (i.e. User Entered - Required) after I validate a test sheet that the user filled out. It is basically an interactive answer sheet that grades itself when the user is finished answering the questions, I just need to know how to make that field read-only after the user has finished the test. Any ideas on how to go about doing this?
Thanks,
Ryan Crocker

No, it would be
GradeTest.access = "open";

  • Changing a field type in OBIEE 11g

    Hello. I am new here, and new to OBIEE. I have read some of the tutorials and created a repository, but will not get formal training through Oracle until next week.
    I have a simple request from a user that I need to do, and I am not sure how to do it.
    Background:
    There is a field, COUNTER1, in my physical layer that is Char(9).
    In the BMM layer, the field gets counted, so it becomes HEADCOUNT and gets defined as COUNT(COUNTER1), and it is an INT field.
    Same in Presentation Layer.
    The user wants to be able to see decimals, so I need to change it to a DOUBLE type field.
    My Question:
    Can I simply change the field type from INT to DOUBLE in the Presentation and/or BMM layers, or is it more involved than that?
    Thank you for any help that you can provide.

    Create new logical column in BMM and in column source tab  check the option "Derived from existing columns using an expression" in the expression use below formula
    1.0d * COUNTER1   --> It converst to double automatically
    where counter1 is count(physical_column) which is int

  • Change RPM Item Type after Item creation

    There is a requirement where RPM Item Type needs to be changed for an Item after it is created.
    Using the Override in SPRO we can enable field for change. But it does not really change all Decision points etc. I think it would not happen since ITem type drives everything once the item is created.
    Please correct me if I am wrong.
    Also, any other alternatives for this requirement besides starting all over again to create the Item?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    1 - Map the permitted item types in the path: SAP Portfolio and Project Management > Portfolio Management > Global Customizing > Portfolio-Independent Settings > Define Portfolio Item Types
    Select an item type, a decision point and then set the permitted item types for switch to.
    2 - Make settings for process flow in the path: SAP Portfolio and Project Management > Portfolio Management > Global Customizing > Portfolio-Independent Settings > Process Flow for Items > Make Settings for the status mapping for itens
    3 - In the portfolio item click in the "Change Process" yellow button.
    3.1 Chosse the item type
    3.2 Select "Delete previous decision points"
    3.3 Save
    Best regards,

  • Dynamically change text field type

    Hello all
    I have a form which displays a decimal field. However when certain conditions are met, I need to change its type to Text, so the user can enter any alphanumeric character.
    How do I achieve that with Javascript code? Is it even possible?

    Actually, you can dynamically change a textfield.type. AS2.0
    You need two elements.
    txt.type = "input";
    txt.selectable = true;
    However, if you have the textfield in a btn you will need to
    delete the onRelease function before you can make the tf function correctly.
    btn.onRelease = function()
    delete this.onRelease;
    this.txt.type = "input";
    this.txt.selectable = true;

  • Changing FPGA target types after Obselescence

    Hi. Can anyone advise of a clean way to migrate or copy / paste my CLIP modules between FPGA targets, please? I've about 30 test rigs, each testig a different product. Each contains a PXI-7833R card. We had one fall over recently and I learned that the card is now obsolete. The PXI-7842R is touted as a drop-in replacement. I'm finding the software support for migrating in the project to the new FPGA somewhat cumbersome. I had hoped I could simply change the device type in FPGA target properties, but it appears that I can't change the FPGA target type; apparently the target device can only be set when the target is first created in the project. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, since the contents of the old (7833) target can be copied and pasted into the new (7842) target within the project. However, my FPGAs are now using VHDL components and the CLIP properties cannot be copied / pasted: they need to be added and configured manually, which is quite labourious. Each of my pijects might have 10 CLIP modules to manually configure and I'm dreading it, but in order to minimise test rig downtime in the event of a failure, I wish to build each of these projects for the new PXI-7842R target hardware in advance of requiring it. Anything the community can suggest would be a help. Thanks.

    It probably would have been a good idea to hit "Preview" before posting. This is a re-post, but much more pleasing to the eyes!!

  • Large field even after validation transform

    Hi, I am working on BODS 4.0 with Oracle 11.2 as Repo. I am using validation transform to calculate the length of the string . Validation will fail if record length is greater than 60. I am sending pass records to table temp1 and send failed records table temp2. I have defined the field length to 60 in temp1.
    After this when I run Job then I get error on table temp1 that record length is 65 and field is of 60. I am working with Russian data. Russian is multi byte character CYRILLIC data.
    Now if SAP has field defined as  varchar(60) then how can I make sure that only records with length 60 or less are send.
    Even though I am checking length 60 in validation but inactual it is taking more space and can not be inserted into field of length 60.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    I've done the same test on BODS 3.1 ver and didn't see any error messages and Job run successfully with correct results.
    I've given one field as 90 chars.
    Please let me know if you need any further help . My emails is mohan.salla at telegraph.co.uk
    cheers

  • Changing doc. type after creating a doc. type.

    Hi Friends,
    We are doing our time ageing from the time of creating the document in DMS. We created a document with particular doc. type wrongly, after two days we found that the DMS creation was done with wrong doc. type. In this how to transfer to new correct doc. Type, if we delete this & create a new we canu2019t get any info that it was created two days back.
    We made Z report for this time ageing report.
    Regards,
    Sai Krishna

    You cannot change the document type after the document has been created. The only way to do this would be with an enhancement and this would create major issues with the integrity of your system

  • Acrobat 9.1.0 Standard ... Can a field type be changed?

    Created a new pdf form from Excel.  All fields were converted/created as Text fields.  Some I want to change to List fields and some I want to change to Check Box fields.  Can this be done within Acrobat Standard?  I can only find the ability of creating new List fields or Check Boxes (not changing).

    Unfortunately this is no quick and easy way to change form field "types" only the properties. You'll need to delete the text form fields and replace them with check boxes or list boxes as appropriate.

  • Can field type be changed once I have set it up?

    I am working on a form and one of the fields is supposed to be a drop down menu with about 50 different choices (choose 1). I accidentally set it up as a list box instead of a combo box. Is there any way to change this field to a combo box, keeping all 50 of the options that I already (manually) typed?
    Or is there an easier way to import items into a combo box?
    I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro
    Thanks for your help!

    Depending upon the product. Version 5 and below allowed changing the field type, but many of the properties are lost.
    I would use JavaScript to create a list of the entries in your current list box into an array and then use that array to populate the new combo box.
    // variable for field name to get data from
    var sField = "myList";
    // variable for field name to place data in
    var sNewField = "myCombo";
    // get the field object sField
    var oField = this.getField(sField);
    // get the number of items in the combo or list box
    var nItems = oField.numItems;
    // variable to hold an item entry from combo or list box
    var aItem;
    // define an array for item in combo or list box
    var aEntries = new Array(nItems)
    // loop through the items in the combo or list box
    for(i = 0; i < nItems; i++) {
    // get item at index i
    aItem = [oField.getItemAt({nIdx: i, bExportValue: false}), oField.getItemAt({nIdx: i, bExportValue: true})];
    // insert into entries array
    aEntries[i] = aItem;
    } // end loop through the items in the combo or list box
    // populate the new field
    // get the new field object
    var oNewField = this.getField(sNewField);
    // set the items into the new field
    oNewField.setItems(aEntries);
    // end of script
    With a combo or list box with that number of entries, I would use a document level script to populate the field when the PDF is opened or to populate the field and then comment out the action for the setting of the items. This would make maintenance of the list much easier.

  • Changing Document Type after making progress with project. Is it possible?

    Can I still change my document type after I already started my project? I want to change it to print type.

    Just what do you mean by "print type"?
    Do you mean changing the document Color Mode to CMYK color from RGB color?  If so, sure, you can do that at any time.
    If you mean changing the "file type" (file format)  (say from PSD to TIFF, etc.) you just do a Save As to create a new document in whatever format you want.

  • Problem with a Dynpro field (type numc)

    hi everybody.
    I'm developping a ModulPool application in wich i have 2 RadioButtons with 2 textbox fields.
    What i pretend to do is, when the user clicks a radiobutton and strikes Intro, enable the corresponding textbox field and disable the other one.
    My code runs fine, but i have a little problem. When I loop the screen table, to set the appropiate value to the 'input' property, in this case, when i try to disable it (input = '0'), I get a zero character in that field. This field has NUMC type, i'm sure this is the problem
    'cos i've got no problem with the other field (type char). But i can't solve it.
    Anybody's got an idea?
    Thanks

    What you are seeing is the normal behavior of a numeric field represented by the SAPgui.  This is how all numeric fields are displayed via SAPgui.  If you don't want to see the 0,  then you just change the field type to CHAR and handle accordingly.

  • How to Change the Fields from Input mode to display mode

    Hi experts,
    Here is my business requirement. I need to show certain fields in the PRICING TAB OF SALES ORDER  in display mode. Now for this i am using the BADI definition CRM_PRICING_BADI.
       Now, can anybody tell me how to change the field type from input mode to change mode?

    Hi Karan,
      In your BADI has a parameter CT_INPUT_FIELD_NAMES with one field called CHANGEABLE with values:
         Field Can Be Changed
    A     Field Cannot Be Changed
       Assing this values to your fields according with your requirements.
    Regards.

  • Field Type in Import Manager

    Dear all,
    I am importing Vendors in MDM SP4 that I extracted from BI. In Import manager my Vendor and GN_Vendor fields appears with numeric type but I created them in the Console with text type. I also cheched the xls input file but they are in text format. Can you please tell me where to change the field type from numeric to text.
    Because I can only import Vendors who have numeric name.
    In advance thank you for your kind help,
    Aklilu

    Hi Aklilu,
    As Far as I understand,
    the problem is with your source and not the destination.
    The source field type from BI, is numerical and this has to be changed to text in the source
    The destination field is a text field and hence no need to change the field type in MDM.
    Hope this helps you solve the problem.
    Let me know the result.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Altering the field type in an AWT/Swing App

    Hi ,
    I have developed a simple Swing/Jclient application for ADF. All the fields produced on the panel are of type JTextField. Is it possible to alter some of them to JTextArea for example....????
    I have not noticed something relative to it in the property palette of each field.....!!!!
    Can i do that...????
    Note: I use JDev10.1.2
    Thanks....
    Sim

    So... if the fields are generated by the wizard then there is no manner to change the field type...????
    You can just drag a component from the data control palette and when you'll drop it on the panel it will give you various options of field types that you can drop it as.Yes... but how to relate it to a db column...(to bound to a db column of the selected table)????
    I have noticed that the fields generated by the wizard do have the "Document" property as the name of the object view + the db column produced as a step of the wizard.....
    For the item i have added as you have written the document property does not have this object view.name of db column as in the other columns....
    The possible values are:
    default
    defaultStyledDocument
    htmlDocument
    plainDocument
    Sorry , my question on this you have described....But , what about if i add another swing field type first and then i want to bound to a db column....???
    By the way, why are you using 10.1.2 and not 10.1.3?Does the newer version deal with these 'problems' better...???
    Thanks.. a lot for your constant help
