Changing Configuration Table to user maintenance table

Hi SDN team,
I recall that there was an OSS note that described the procedure to change a table in configuration to a user maintenance table.  We have a scenario where the purchasing group table is maintained via IMG and the business process wants to maintain this as a master data table.  Can anyone either walk me through the process of setting this up or point me to the OSS note that references this functionality?

if one is not aware that you maintain customizing tables in production, and does customizing as usual in developement system and transports the changes, then he may create a lot problems.
It happened to me personally. I was not aware that purchasing groups had to be maintained in production system as I joined a new company. (But still the request for a new purchasing group is send to IT) . so I just took the free  next number in dev-system and transported to production.  And here I overwrote an entry that was only present in production.........

  • Change configuration of a user with another user

    Hi gurus,
    I would like to know if it is possible to change the configuration of users with an admin user.
    For example. I don't have the pass of user A. Meanwhile, I nedd to change the layout of an appraisal document, a specif portal configuration for that user. Is it possible to change that configuration with my user.
    I asking this becausa I'm doing maintenance of SAP portals and some users don't give access to their accounts for privacy reasons. Do you have any ideia if it is possible?
    My specific case is HCM. I need to change add an entry to a layout of an user but I can not access to his account. It may look nonsense, but sometimes it happens.

    It is possible to change the configuration of users with an admin user.,as such only if  you have administrator rights.If u wan tto change the appraisal document with the specified user if suppose you are saying that user a is not there ,admin user can be used for editing the particular document ,where in all the information can be there with administrator .

  • Last Changed On field in User Maintenance

    Is there any possibility to delete last record in Last Changed On field in SU02 transaction?
    Where is (in what database table) this record stored?
    Firstly I checked USH2-4-10-12 tables but with no luck, then I discovered that recent changes can be seen via Change Documents (Information -> Change Documents for Users). There I can see chenges but cannot delete them.
    Then I discovered RSCDOK99 report that allowed their deletion but even when last record is deleted (from CDHDR) the value in maintenance window doesn't change.
    What is the trick? Can you suggest the db table that stores this record?

    the dependency maintenance tables are part of the PLM Web UI, Product Structure Management. You want to maintain selection conditions for specific options/variants of a product, correct?
    You probably need to enable one of the related roles to get the SAP menu options displayed.

    Once you have that, you need to have a Product Structure model in place in order to be able to maintain your object dependencies via the dependency maintenance table.

    Hi All
    This error "Another user-modified table 'Users'(OUSR)(ODBC -2039 [Message 131-183]" happens when trying to change the manager password, I'm able to change the manager password for all the other databases on the server except for one.
    I have logged in using another Superuser account to try and reset the password of the manager account but SBO is having none of it and I get this error.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Another user has changed the row with primary key -Table changed externally

    Hello,
    I am facing the error: "Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key[94 ]." during the delete operation.
    User case scenario:
    1. Added new row in the table.
    2. Once new row is added to the the table, another application will update few columns in the newly added row based on some logic.
    3. On the same session I am trying to delete the newly added row and getting above mentioned error.
    I have added a "Button" in the table to partialRefresh the table to check the new values of the changed columns.
    I have checked the forum and found many similar errors and tried the following but nothing helped.
    1. By setting "Auto Refresh = True" for the view object.
    Issue faced-> It worked fine but after few add and remove my db is getting to inconsistent state after which, I am not able to do any add/delete from my page.
    Error: "Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key". I have checked this and I am not getting this error when "Auto Refresh = False" even after multiple add and remove actions.
    2. By Setting "Auto Refresh" the iterator associated with the page.
    Issue -> Did not work at all.
    Looking forward inputs from gurus.

    Simply overriding the lock() method in the entity object resolved issue. Kudos to the author.

    P.S: I have already added the partial trigger but it is work not working as the data is cached in the VO. Removing the Cached property for the VO is creating other problems.

    The short answer is no; deleting a table from tempdb will not affect user databases.
    Of course I could make up some connection between the two that you haven't described. For example, if a stored procedure created a temporary table, and was busy using it when you deleted it, the deletion could cause unexpected behavior in the user database,
    which could affect some table data.
    Also, some system actions in user databases can store data in tempdb temporarily. But you aren't likely to be talking about system usages of tempdb.
    So, unless you describe some connection, the tables in tempdb are independent from the user database tables.

  • 2005 PL07 User define table name size changed?

    Hi everyone,
    I just upgrade Add-on from SBO 2004 to SBO 2005 PL07, there is a problem, when a DBDatasource bind to an User difine table, if the UDT name length <=7, the code runs good under, but under 2005 PL07, when UDT name Length >7, an error "Data source - Invalid table name" shows when code runs to the statement "oDBDataSource.Query(oConditions)".
    who knows what's the reason of this problem, is this by the UDT name longer than SBO 2005 PL07 SDK constraint or other reasons.

    I haven't experienced this error, but it looks like Barend has. I am not sure if he has solved his problem, but it seems to be the same. His table name is also longer than 7 characters. Look at this post posted a couple of days ago:

    Search for roles with SAP_FI_AP*
    You could always create your own role.
    In the Menu tab add the t codes you have specified.
    You will then need to add the authorization objects in the authorization tabs.
    For the t codes you have I guess it would take an hour max.

    I have created one form using screen painter displaying text boxes and bind them to the table.
    This form is working absolutely fine when there are some data in table (i.e. Browse using navigation)
    My problem is, when I click add button from tool bar the "OK" button turn to "Add" that means the form is set to Add mode, but when I click "Add" button after entering some data nothing happens and input data is not stored in Table. The same "OK" Button turned to "Update" when I do changes in loaded data, but my changes are not reflected to table after I click "Update".

    There is no such query. The table fields is directly linked to Edit Box or Combo Box in form.
    From the examples I learned that I have to do something like this to get my table updated

  • What the best way to create User defined table with ADDON purpose

    I´m beginner in development to business one, and I m studying to develop ISV addons.
    But, during my exercises and analisys, I learned that have two ways to create tables and fields in business one. One way is throght by wizard in business one using Tools Menu > Configuration Tools > User Defined Tables >
    Obs: I ´m using Business One Patch Level 9.
    Other way, is create the tables and fields using DI API
    But, my question is. When I develop one addon, or one UDO form that uses one set of user defined tables or used defined fields that where created by the first way (by wizard in B1), how I deploy this in other business one installation ? The package process will ensure the creation of this tables in another enviroment or I must implement the creation of user defined tables using DI API so that this code is called during the installation?
    If in cases of addon develop I must use DI API to create user defined tables, How can I use my classes with this responsibility in package process ?

    Hi
    I got error "Another user modified table rdr3" when try to update additional expenses on sales order form.
    Case: Update Add. expences through my code based on condition and document updated well with add. expenses
    but after that if i update add. expenses through system functionality <b>means By pass my code</b> based on some condition, SBO throws this error.

    In what event are you performing your update?  I was getting the same message when I did my update in the in "item clicked" (for the update button) and this is evidently before the form does the update.  It saw the changes I made to the record and therefore aborted the update.
    I moved my update to item-pressed and that solved the problem.  But it's been a little more complicated than that for me.
    As far as I can tell, SBO updates the object on the form AFTER the BeforeAction event is triggered from item pressed.  But the way my debugging suggests it happens is that if there are no errors from that update, while item pressed does get it's AfterAction triggered, the form is no longer in update mode - it's in OK mode. So it seems that the update really needs to happen from OK mode but there's one more complication.
    At least for the item master form, button 1 can be in OK mode after doing an Update (which will work), but will also be in OK mode after a find (where the user types, for instance, an item number and presses enter, rather than the find button).  So what I am doing is setting a flag on item pressed/update mode/before action that let's me know that update is requested.  then in item pressed/find mode/after mode I test for update requested, then update the object and turn off my flag:
