Changing document securityGroup on the end of workflow

Hi,
is there any way how to change security group and dDocType after document leaves workflow. The IDOC function wfUpdateMetaData is usable only for 'x' metadata, so we are little stuck here.
Thanks for replies, Richard

cant be done in workflow...as you have seen. Security Group is especially problematic as the Workflow is tied to one specific security group!
THere is a workaround I give below - it is not perfect but may well suit your needs.
What you can do is change a custom field e.g. xWorkflowFinished to TRUE using wfUpdateMetaData when you are leaving the WF.
Then create an 'blackhole' (explained here http://blogs.oracle.com/kyle/entry/ucm_black_hole_check_in)type archive which exports/imports items to the same UCM instance and applies a value map to the import.
Just map OldSecurityGroup to NewSecurityGroup and you are done.
One of the downsides of the approach above is that the move will not be 'instant' it will take a few seconds.
Hope that Helps
Tim

  • Is it possible to find out if a certain type of document is available inside a document-set by the help of workflows?

    Is it possible to find out if a certain type of document is available inside a document-set by the help of workflows?

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to find out if a certain type of document is available inside a document-set.
    Per my knowleadge, there is no out of the box way to accomplish this with SharePoint Designer Workflow.
    To find the content type inside a document-set, there are two methods:
    First, open a document set, click “New Document” option, then you can find the available content type in the document set.
    Second, open the document set content type, open Document Set Settings Page, then you can see the available content type.

    If you port out a day or two before your bill closing date, you owe nothing more to Verizon. If you port out say 3 days after your due date then you lose 27 days of service.

  • Changing an image at the end of an animation sequence

    Hello all,
    I'm working on a project where I have a black and white image that starts in Position A and moves to Position B over the course of 1 second (24 fps). When it arrives at Position B (frame 24) I would like for it to convert seamlessly into a color version of the same image. In my head, this seems simple, but I can't get it to work. I have tried three different options so far:
    1. At Position B (frame 24) I tried to drag the color image onto the canvas so that I could simply cover the black and white symbol. However, I receive the message "that object can't be pasted as a tween target".
    2. At Position B (frame 24) I tried to "swap symbols" with the color one. However, when I did that it changed the symbol for the entire animation. So, instead of starting out black and white and then turning to color, it just became color the whole time.
    3. I tried to set the animation to end a frame 23 and then have frame 24 become the color picture. This worked, however, when I add in more images later in the project, instead of all sticking together it creates a small space between the far left image and the image directly to the right.
    Any suggestions?

    Make a graphic symbol with the black and white image on frame 1 and the color image on frame 2. Set it to "Single Frame" When it's animating, that frame should be 1. When it's finished, change the single frame to 2.  If you have problems doing this with the motion applied, try the following:
    Insert a keyframe on the last frame with all the types available.
    Copy the properties of that keyframe, then create a new keyframe on the second-to-last frame of the animation and paste the properties.
    Select the last keyframe, right click and select "Split motion." With the frame still selected, select "Remove motion tween."
    Now you have a frame after the tween where the tween is not applied, but your instance is in the same spot/state as where it ended.

  • Change Documents: What is the difference bt OBJECTID ADRESSE and ADRESSE2/3

    Hi,
    I have to track some address changes of BPs and detected that same fields (like CITY1 and STREET) can be found in different OBJECTIDs:
    ADRESSE and ADRESSE2.
    And there is even OBCECTID
    ADRESSE3.
    Who knows the differences_
    Thanks!
    Thomas

    Gaurav,
    Thanks for your quick answer.
    Unfortunately, it is not more clear for me.
    OBJECTCLAS       ADRESSE  has entries for TABNAME = ADRC and FNAME = CITY1
    OBJECTCLAS       ADRESSE2  has entries for TABNAME = ADRC and FNAME = CITY1
    so what is the difference_
    Looking into tx SCD0 I see only the OBJECTCLASES and Text and the button to 'Generation Info'.
    The Text sfor the objects I would like to understand is as follows:
    ADRESSE    Business Address Services: Address Type 1 + Comm. Data
    ADRESSE2    Business Address Services: Address Type 2 + Comm. Data
    ADRESSE3    Business Address Services: Address Type 3 + Comm. Data
    Anybody knows the difference bt Address Type 1 , 2 and 3????
    Thanks,
    Thomas

  • Workflow Change Documents - cProjects 4.0

    Dear Experts,
    I have set all pre-requisites I anticipated I needed to, to have the cProjects workflow work good. But finally, I see no email.
    This is what I have done:
    Set the requierd (from the configuration guide) under tcodes: SCDO, SWED and SWEC. Under SWEC, I also set the field restrictions:
    CGPL_TASK_CD     DURATION             *    *
    DPR_ENL_CD         RESPONSIBLE       *    *
    However, I see no emails when I make changes. I see the changes getting recorded under the 'Change Documents' tab. The email settings for the resource (BP) responsible for the task is also in place.
    What else must I be missing?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Bittu.

    Hi Zhenbo,
    The SWED and SWEC settings are exactly as per the Config. guide.
    As for the Workflow WS28700096, I am not too sure if you meant WS28700006. This is what I see in the system pertaining to 'Change Documents'. I have set this active.
    I see the changes for the task getting recorded under the 'Change Documents' tab page (cProjects front end). But there's no email. I also checked the SCOT transactions but I see nothing there. The system isn't triggering any email.
    Besides the SWED and SWEC settings, I have set the field restrictions as per the last post. Is there anything else I might be missing?
    If you are ok to my call, please post your number at [email protected] and I'll call you.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Bittu.

  • How do I force Pages to open a document at the END of the document?

    I have a document -- my personal diary -- in which I write almost every day. Every time I open it, it opens about 3/4 of the way into the document, then I have to go to the end of the document to write more. Is there any way to change this weird behavior so the document opens to the end?
    I searched discussions and there is an archived discussion of this issue from 2008 where someone points out that if you manually go back to page 1 in the document, then use the Save command, the document will open to page 1 when next opened. However, I can't find any method to have the document open to the end, which seems like it should be an obvious option. I just find it strange that the document does not re-open to the last saved position, especially text documents.
    Any workaround?
    Thanks in advance.
    pd

    Well, that was my problem. I was opening an "old" Pages document (updated to 09 of course, but originally it was an 06 document). I would write some additional material at the end and save. But next time I opened the doc it would open to a spot about 3/4 of the way through, not at the end. As I mentioned, I found another discussion in here from a few years back started by someone with the same problem.
    Cutting and pasting is really pretty simple (actually I should say copying and pasting in this case): Open old doc, select all, copy, open new doc, paste, save with new name. That worked and now the new document opens to the end. Much more convenient.

  • ChaRM Scenario: Workbench and Customizing CR in the same Change Document

    We use the ChaRM scenario of Solution Manager 3.2 to manage the transport request for the R/3 landscape.
    We have two different project with two different landscape:
    - the first one is used for customizing purpose ED1/010 - EQ1/010 - EP1/010
    - the second one is for workbench purpose ED1/011 - EQ1/010 - EP1/010
    We usually assign a Change Request each Change Document.
    Assigning the Change Document to a maintenance cycle (owned by a SolMan Project) to assigne the CD/CR to the right source client.
    Sometime we need to create a Change Document that contains two CR one for customizing purpose the other one for workbench purpose.
    Is this possible using ChaRM standard features ?
    Regards,
    Giampaolo

    Hi Martin,
    Solmaniacs' assumptions are correct. You can have as many source clients as you want.
    As long as
    - STMS configuration (transport routes, and domain links) are consistent
    - SMSY configuration (logical components are declared properly with assigning the right role types to systems/clients)
    - Project declaration are done correctly (so that from Solman solar_project_admin you can read the STMS as confiured in the distant STMS domain)
    - IMPORTANT: those configuration GO ALONG with each other !! (SMSY should nt contradict STMS for example...)
    The tasklist that is generated for each Solman project will be as follow
    - Node 1: Header Tasks (commun to all systems)
    - Node x: Corresponding to track x declared in Project (each Source System will have his own node with the corresponding track under)
    - Node x+1
    - Node ...
    - Last Node : Tasks for Tasklist closure - checks on scma consistancy and CTS projects closure
    So you'll always have n+2 nodes in your tasklist; n beeing the number of declared source (=dev) systems in project
    For each action launched from change docuemnts like creation of TR, release of TR or Retrofit (as Solmaniac said) you'll have an additional pop-up that will appears letting you choose the system you want to use for the action
    Hope its helpful

  • Footnotes at the end of document

    Is it possible in Pages 5.2 to have footnotes appear at the end of the document rather than at the end of the page, in multipage documents?

    Create a footnote:
    click in the text > Menu > Insert > Footnote > Select it
    Toolbar > Document > Footnotes > Type > Choose
    You have three choices:
    1.     Footnotes at the foot of the same page
    2.     Section Endnotes at the end of the Section
    3.     Document Endnotes at the end of the document.

  • Change documents for the custom transaction

    hi,
    how could we trap the changes in our custom transaction to CDHDR,CDPOS tables.
    we had created the object and generated update information.
    where exactly we should call our  write_document function module (generated in the object class ) in our module pool program.

    Activate the 'Change document' checkbox for data element. You must updating some table by your program. So just check the 'Change document'  checkbox for those dataelement that you are updating in the table.
    You will find the 'Change document' checkbox in the following path : dataelement-> farther element->'Change document'  checkbox.
    Now, if that checkbox is checked, the CDHDR and CHPOS table will be updated whenever you do any chnge in the table.
    Now you can readthe table with a date to find out whether the bable is modified.
    Now performance wise it is better to use change pointer instead of change document. Change pointer also do the same functionality as the change document.
    To do that go to BD52, give a message type andd all the table and fields for which you are updating through your program.
    Now you can use 'Change_pointer_read' FM to read the values that are change.
    Ex:
            CALL FUNCTION 'CHANGE_POINTERS_READ'
              EXPORTING
                message_type                = gc_message_type
                creation_date_high          = s_erdat-high
                creation_date_low           = s_erdat-low
                creation_time_high          = gc_time_high
                creation_time_low           = gc_time_low
                read_not_processed_pointers = 'X'
              TABLES
                change_pointers             = lt_chgptrs_tab.
    gc_message_type message you have given in BD52 and you will get all the chaged element in lt_chgptrs_tab.
    Now after reading the values to update the fact that you have read those values you have to call another FM.
              CALL FUNCTION 'CHANGE_POINTERS_STATUS_WRITE'
                EXPORTING
                  message_type           = gc_message_type
                TABLES
                  change_pointers_idents = gt_pointer_id.
              COMMIT WORK.
    gt_pointer_id will have all the change pointer ids from lt_chgptrs_tab table that you have already reead.
    The table for change pointer is BDCP.

  • ABAP OO Class and Change Documents

    I have created a class based on the IF_WORKFLOW interface.  I created a couple of events.  I created a workflow task assigned to a custom method of the class.  I setup the Material Change Document to trigger the class event when there is a change.  The workflow task does trigger when I change a material, but I don't know how to pass the key of the Change Document (matnr) to the workflow task/method using the ABAP OO Class interface.  Any help?
    Thanks,
    Kenneth

    Thanks for the reply Florin.  Yes, I have seen Joclyn Dart's Whitepaper and blogs.  They are very helpful, but I haven't seen much information within them about Change Documents.  I tried your suggestions, but the material key is still not being filled when I trigger the change document and workflow task using tcode MM02.
    Here is what I have done:
    Created an Attribute 'Material' type mara-matnr and checked 'Key Attribute'.
    Created an Attribute M_POR type SIBFLPOR.
    Here are the methods:
    Constructor with parameter 'Material' *
    METHOD constructor.
      me->m_por-catid = 'CL'.
      me->m_por-typeid = 'ZMM_WF_MATTEC'.

    ENDMETHOD.
    Find_by_lpor with parameters LPOR and RESULT (default params) *
    METHOD bi_persistent~find_by_lpor.
      DATA: p_material TYPE matnr.
      MOVE lpor-instid TO p_material.
      TRY.
          CREATE OBJECT result
            TYPE

    LPOR with parameter RESULT (default param) *
    method BI_PERSISTENT~LPOR.
    result = me->m_por.
    endmethod.
    ENDMETHOD.
    Custom method MAT_CHANGED with parameter 'Material' * (not coded yet)
    This is the task being triggered by the Change Documents *

  • ACTIVATE CHANGE DOCUMENTS PERFORMANCE

    G'day Team,
    Client is using SCM7.0.  The Activate Change Documents has been set for Location Product (LocProd; LocProd Costs; LotSize/DS; SNP Demand Par; SNP Supply Par & Deploy Params).
    Can someone Pls advise for Product Header: What does this indicator include from Prod Mast? Is it Only Properties1 OR does it include Prop1; Prop2; Class; ATP Data; SNP1; & storage data
    If the UOM is selected what is impact on performance
    If UOM & Product Header indicators are selected is there a large impact on performance.  The current Prod / loc = 6.5K > End state is 100  -150K prod / locs.
    This is an impact assesment.
    Many thanks,
    Andy Goz
    SAP APO Consultant

    Hi Andy Goz,
    Using this activate function, you can specify whether or not changes made
    to product master data are to be logged.
    When you set the corresponding indicator, the system creates a change
    document for every change in the master data fields that can be changed
    by the user.
    The change document also logs the value of the field before a change is made.
    This allows you to trace the way in which the field was changed at a certain
    time.
    If there is a high volume of data, change logging using change documents
    can affect performance.
    You can read the changed characteristics using transaction

  • WHAT IS USE OF CHANGE DOCUMENT FIELD?

    HI experts,
    go like this,
      mara->matnr->dataelement of matnr->further charecteristics ->change document
    in this if we select change document field what will be occured , if we deselect   thatfield what will be the changes and where will be reflected that changes.
      thanks,

    Hi,
    It is used as an Indicator for writing change documents
    <b>Use</b>
    This flag is used to create change documents for business objects.
    You can create a change document object for a business object. This change document object contains the tables in which the data of the business object is stored. Function modules that are called in the corresponding application programs and that log the changes at runtime can be generated from the change document object.
    Logging only takes place if the fields whose contents were changed refer to a data element that was flagged as relevant for the change document.
    You can go to the maintenance screen for change documents from the initial screen of the ABAP Workbench with Development -> Other tools -> Change documents.

    Padmam.
