Changing flags in mtl_system_items

Hi all,can anyone kindly say me how to change MTL_TRANSACTIONS_ENABLED_FLAG to 'Y' in mtl_system_items for a particular item.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!
Edited by: sandy on Oct 13, 2011 12:24 PM

Sandy, it is not advisable to update the mtl_transactions_enabled_flag directly with sql. It will most likely lead to data corruption.
Depending on your inventory item status setting, that flag is dependent on other fields such as inventory_item_status_code or stockable flag. Updating it directly will make the other values get out of sync and you will start seeing a number of errors.
If you have just a handful of items to update, simply open the item master screen ; query the item ; go to inventory tab and set "Transactable" to Yes.
If you have a large number of items, please use item API or interface to make such updates.
Hope this helps,

  • Change flag deactivaion for PO output message type during change mode

    Hello All,
WE are using automatic message output determination functionality for PO output type. This output type has been configured for creation and change mode under Fine tuning.
Two output type are configured, for example ZAAA is output type for ALE and output type ZBBB for  archiving.
Here  archiving functionality is used to transfer attachment from ERP system to SUS supplier portal as a pdf file. This is done via enhancement and the attachment transfer is working fine.
During creation mode both the output types are determined and successfully processed and as a result attachment is transferred to supplier portal which is absolutely correct. In the attachment all PO line item can be seen which works well.
Now I change the PO and add a new PO line item, system automatically default both the output type for change mode and upon saving both the output type are successfully processed.
Now here is the problem in change mode only the added PO line item is sent as an attachment to the supplier portal. Here the requirement is see all the PO line items including the once which were newly added.
Solution is if we uncheck the change flag for output type ZBBB during change mode then all the PO line item can be seen under the new attachment with new version.
Please let us know how this functionality can be acheived ... is there an user exit available.
We have a work around where we are running a background job every 3 mins and based on the last successfully processed message for output type ZAAA we are attaching first output type ZBBBfor archiving the changes and then ZAAA for sending the changes along with attachment to Supplier portal. However this solution is a temporary one , we need a concrete solution for this.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,

    Hello All,
    Thanks for the reply,
But we cannot modify the existing print program as this print program is being used in different countries also.
We already know a solution that during change mode if we remove the change flag from output type ZBBB then all the PO line items along with the recent changes can be seen under the attachment under supplier portal.
The question comes now, how do we automate this processu2026 Is there any standard progam or user exit available.
Manually, if you add a message type ZBBB in ME22N tranasction for creation mode then all PO line item with recent changes get transferred but we need to automate this process for create and change PO transaction.

  • How do I stop Lion Mail from "changing flags?"

I noticed that the new Lion Mail (5) gets hung up. When I check the activity pane, it always says "Changing Flags." Clicking the stop sign icon will stop this temporarily, but every few hours Mail gets hung up on this again.
    Any idea what's going on?

    Hi Douglass,
You will need to navigate to the following folder.
    /Users/yourusername/Library/Mail/V2/MailData
and backup the following file... MessageRules.plist
Open the file in BBedit to confirm your rules are infact inside that particular plist file as Mail will also create backups occasionally.
Once you reinstall, do a compare/replace with the newly created MessageRules.plist and you should be able to bring your "old" rules into your fresh install.
as for mailboxes, those are contained within this folder
    /Users/yourusername/Library/Mail/V2/Mailboxes
and it will be up to you to backup those files and File/Import Mailboxes them into the new install.

    Hello,
The value of this field is use internally in FM attached to the process code  for Creation/Change and in case of change, only the relevent changed data is sent ( taken care by attched FM).

  • Change flags for Library unhidden in external drive

I have a clients drive that is failing. I have pulled it and placed it in an external case. I can get it to mount out of the machine in the external HD case. I have restored the data except in the hidden home library which is 10 days old from the last Time Machine back up. I am aware of the change flags cmd on a boot drive. How do I make the home Library of the external drive visible or un hidden so I can retreive the mail for the10 days missing? Thanks, Steve

I have confirmined on this discussion there was not a typo and the user libray does exist as I can see it in the finder. And it came up with
    cd: /Volu[tab]Mac[tab]Users[tab][tab]
( [tab][tab] will give you a list of all users in that location )
    [tab]=press tab key
The user account shows no problem.
I am pretty sure the drive has a bad blcok in that area, thus the drive crash, thus the msg's of a failing drive, thus we can't get to the library any way.
I will try your suggestion. But what is the command to hide the hidden files again?
    Thanks, Steve

  • MRM_MRIS_HDAT_MODIFY error with change flag

    Hi.
I want to change the xblnr field with the ebeln field in the badi 'MRM_MRIS_HDAT_MODIFY' but that doesn't work.
when i set the e_change exportparameter on 'X', i get the error message:
System error: Error in routine MRM_RBKPV_CHECK -RBKPV-BLART
when i set the flag on space, i get no changes.
how can i set the ebeln field to the xblnr field?
For the item texts i use the badi ''MRM_MRIS_IDAT_MODIFY'. When i set the change flag on 'X', all works fine...
    what must i do?
    thanks

    first:
    move-corresponding i_rbkpv to e_rbkpv_is_change.
    and then change values.....

  • VA02 - Sale Order Change Flag ?

    Hi All,
Please help me with the following issue.
Whenever there is a change made to the Sales Order, during the save event is there any flag that indicates, whether there was a change in the order.
I mean before the order getting saved, i am having an exit, where in i want a flag which will tell me that some change was made to the Order.
    Regards
    Rakesh.

    Hi Rahul,
That flag would have helped. But my req is little more specific.
Its like I am making a change in Item Quantity - Press Enter and then going to
EXTRAS-OUTPUT-HEADER-EDIT ... here is there my routine is getting triggered. That routine is nothing but one created from VOFM transaction, a routine for controlling output type.
Now here is where i want to know whether any changes in Sales Order is made.
The system flag you told me is blank here... T185F-DATALOSS this is another flag which can tell us whether any data change has happend or not. But this also is blank when it comes to this exit.
    Please help me.
    Regards
    Rakesh.

  • How to Change the Alias name for Internet user in SU01 tr code through cod?

    Hi Guys,
My req is we have to change the Alias name(SU01 tr code) for the existing users thru code.So can anybody tell me how to change the Alias name like which we do it in SU01 tr code thru code or FM.?
Is there any FM for tha changing Alias Name?
    Thanks,
    Gopi.

    Hello Gopi Anne ,
You can use the following FM / BAPI :
    BAPI_USER_CHANGE
    MY_BAPI_USER_CHANGE
    For BAPI_USER_CHANGE :
You need to make use of the IMPORT parameter :
ALIAS     TYPE     BAPIALIAS                               User Name Alias
ALIASX     LIKE     BAPIALIASX                               User alias change flag
    Thanks,

  • How to update flag in multiple tables using custom sql DB adapter

    hi all,
I have a scenario: I want to update flags in multiple tables in DB2. I have used toplink update only to update all tabless after creating relationships between them. But that approach is not working as it couldnot detect emmisions with DB2 and update the complete record with blank values in other columns.
So, i want to use custom sql now. Can anybody help in resolving the issue or in writing the custom sql.
    Regards
    Richa

    Dear SeánMacGC thanks for reply,
But "a.changed" is not a field in GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER_CHG. what i am doing in this procedure is i am collecting bulck data and validating field by field from GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER_CHG with GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER table as their structure is same.. if v_name is not same as v_name_chg then i am setting changed flag to "Y" changed is "changed dbms_sql.varchar2_table" and updating GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER in bluck where changed flag ='Y'...
    type custRec is record
    n_cust_ref_no dbms_sql.number_table,
    v_name dbms_sql.varchar2_table,
    v_name_chg dbms_sql.varchar2_table,
    rowid rowidArray,
    *changed dbms_sql.varchar2_table*
i cannot use simple SQL as i need to validate field for each records with GNMT_CUSTOMER_MASTER_CHG and insert into log file as well.....
    to run this procedure:
    execute DO_DC_NAME_UPDATE_OTHER_TAB.DO_NAME_UPDATE_OTHER_TAB;
    Thanks...

  • Unable to clear flags in Mail using Exchange 2010

I am able to flag messages without a problem, but when I try to turn those flags off within a few moments it will sync them back to "flagged."  I basically cannot unflag a flagged message.  Connected to an Exchange 2010 server.  Not having any problems getting or syncing mail.  Activity window is clear and nothing is queued up.
I see "changing flags" pop up really quick in the Activity window but as soon as it sync's back up with Exchange those flags come right back.
    Help!

I've found a solution that works for me, although it's a little technical.
I found that the Envelope Index file in Home/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/ is actually a sqlite3 database.
    the steps I followed were:
Quit Mail (don't know if this is necessary)
Open Terminal, and cd to ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/
open the sqlite db using the sqlite3 command line client:
    $> sqlite3 Envelope\ Index
Now, in the sqlite3 command shell I queried the messages table to see which messages were flagged:
    sqlite> select * from messages where flagged = '1';
I verified that the one message I couldn't clear was in the result set and then I updated the database and cleared the flag:
    sqlite> update messages set flagged = '0' where flagged = '1';
Re-start Mail, and voila - flagged messages gone.
Note: to selectively clear the flags from only certain messages would probably require a more advanced update statement that included some join in the where clause.

  • Custom field in Vendor Master - track field changes

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to enhance vendor master (XK01) by adding custom fields. I did this, but now the customer needs to track changes made to this field. He expects to see the changes made to this custom field using menu path 'Environment -> Field Changes' from vendor master transactions (XK01, XK02, XK03). I have enabled the track changes in the data element, so that field changes can be tracked in CDPOS, but that is not enough. Please help to find solution. Thanks.
    Regards
    Arun

    Hi Brad,
I added the new fields to vendor master using the SPRO option:
'Prepare Modification-Free enhancement of Vendor Master Record' in the following path:
Logistics-General -> Business Partner -> Vendors -> Control -> Adoption of customer's own master data fields. This created a button on vendor master, and my field is in a pop up box which is generated on click of this button.
This field is stored in LFM2 table.
I have enabled the change flag in the data element of the custom field, and it is showning the field changes in CDPOS table.
But the problem I face is how I can avoid going to the CDPOS table and instead use the menu option :
    'Environment -> Field Changes'
    Regards
    Arun
