I think WordService might be able to do that:

  • How do I change the language of Apple Mail under OS 10.8?

    I want to change the language used in Apple Mail (I have a French language operating system so instead of "On Sep 3, 2012 XY wrote..." it says "A 3 Sept 2012, XY a ecrit..."
    How do I change the language (for Apple Mail only)?
    And as we are on the subject, is there a way to personalise the email attribution at all? Eg. to just say "XY [[email protected]] 12/03/09 12:13".

  • Arial font issue in Apple Mail

    I'm a designer.
    I have a MacPro tower running 10.9.5
    Apple Mail 7.3
    and FontExplorer X Pro 4.2.1
    I've had issues with fonts (as one does with so many) and finally got the cache cleaned up for one issue when a new one has popped up.
    I have my mac restart every night, and it my login apps are Mail and Font Explorer.
    When Mail first opens, my unread messages number in the sidebar are shown in "Last Resort" and the sender's email is shown as all pound signs.
    Sometimes to fix this I quit mail, go into FontExplorer and turn Arial on and off, and then re-open Mail. Sometimes I can get it to fix itself by quitting and re-opening Mail a few times.
    It's not a massive issue, but it is pretty annoying to see first thing in the morning!
    Other than rebuilding my 6k font library, any suggestions on what's happening?

    Try going to Applications/Font Book and validating the font. There may be option to do that in Font Explorer.

  • TS3276 changing gmail password in Apple mail

    I would like to change my gmail password in Apple mail. I was able to chage the gmail password on the goggle web site but it the same password was not accepted in Apple Mail.

    Problem solved, I deleted the 2 step verification in google and my password was accepted in Apple mail.
    NOW
    When I installed the last mailbox, I noted a lot of "Mail Activity" and several hundred messages were incoming. In my mailboxes, I see the names of the mailboxes but there is no numbers next to them indicating the number of emails in the box. I also see that there are about 200 junk emails, several of then are not junk
    Any suggestions. Hopefully the screen shot comes thru

  • Is the option to change font sizes in the Mail message list broken?

    I can change the font and font size in the messages themselves, but not in the column that lists the messages. Weird. A Google search didn't turn up any references to the problem. Using OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on a 2012 MacBook Air.

    Thanks, Barney, but if the font settings don't affect the message list, the option to adjust size and font in the message list shouldn't be offered in the mail preference panel. This feels like a bug. To display a list in a font too small for users to read without providing an option to enlarge it is bad user interface design.
    You'll have to talk to Apple about that. I don't work for them, nor does just about everybody else here.

  • Changing font size in e-mail

    Somehow I managed to accidently change the font size in my e-mail account.  The display of any of my folders is now so small as to be difficult to read at best.  How can I enlarge the font to a more readable size?

    Hold down the Control key on your keyboard and click on the + sign to increase the font size. Holding down the Control key and the MINUS key will make the text smaller.

  • How to change font size of incoming mail in mail app?

    Formatted text in many incoming mails (written in outlook?) is ridiculously small. There was a terminal command to cure this annoyance but that doesn't work in OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 on my MacBook Pro anymore! (Nor can it be set in the preferences). How come it's not possible to adjust the text size of the mails I receive permanently and once and for all? Talking about the best OS ever?
    Thanks in advance!

    Its there
    Go to Tools -> Options
    Then under Environment you've fonts and colors tab where you can specify a higher font size.

  • How to change font type in java mail script?

    Hi,
    I wrote a bean shell script to send mail on particular event. I want mail message body text font style to be modified.
    Please provide help on this.
    Thanks,
    Saloni

    Hi Saloni ,
    You can add the text in the following way by using font tags for message body in your custom mail.
    Message msg = new MimeMessage(session);
    MimeMultipart mp = new MimeMultipart();
    MimeBodyPart mbp1= new MimeBodyPart();
    String htmlText = "<b> This is formatted</b>"+
    "<font size =\"5\" face=\"arial\" >This paragraph is in Arial, size 5</font>";
    mbp1.setContent(htmlText,"text/html");
    mp.addBodyPart(mbp1);
    msg.setContent(mp);
    It worked for me. Let me know if you face any issue.
    Regards,
    Uday.

  • Changing font case in cross-references

    When I cross-reference a section title that appears in uppercase in the text flow, is it possible for me to override the case to initial caps only?
    My format is defined as “<$paratext>” on page\ <$pagenum>. The uppercase looks awkward in a sentence but works in the title. Retyping the cross-reference in the Marker Text makes no difference. It does however appear in initial caps in the xref markers list. ??

    In the paratag for the source text of the heading, set it to be uppercase in the Fonts tab and type the text the way you want it to be with initial caps, then it will work in both the heading and the cross-ref.

  • Change line width in Apple Mail?

    Is there a way I can change the line width in the e-mails I write? Maybe a plug-in?

    Bump.
    Are these phantom extra line breaks and vanishing line breaks not occurring to anyone else?
    In Mail Preferences > Composing > Responding > Quote the text of the original message
    ...I tried disabling (unchecking) it, but it doesn't make much difference. Again, the problems occur in the body of a
    Message > Reply
    ...not a newly-created message. I've even pasted the body text into TextWrangler and done a "Zap Gremlins" and "Remove Line Breaks," but after I paste it back into Mail and reset my line breaks like I want, I still get extra and/or removed line endings when I review my sent message.

  • How can I change from gmail in apple mail settings?  Gmail is greyed out.

    My internet mail provider is changing away from a google platform.  I need to change incoming and outgoing settings.  Gmail is greyed out.  If I delete the account and add it back, it still finds it on google an automatically enters the settings.  I need to change those settings and can't over ride the automatic entry.  Suggestions?

    Doesn't make since. Who is the new provider? Were their any settings for converting between gmail and the new provider where the new address is forwarded to or included in gmail's settings? Seems somehow the old gmail account and the new account are connected somehow.
    When you add a new account, hold the option key down before hitting continue after entering info on the first screen. You will get other options for account types to create.
    In mail preferences, Accounts, check the advanced tab of the account and see if the first box for Automatically Detect and Maintain Account Settings is checked. If so, uncheck it.

  • Bummer with Mavericks and changes to smart groups in apple mail

    I am so not happy with Mavericks and how it changed smart groups in apple mail. Before it was easy to create a group mailing to my clients. I find nothing helpful in their help link either. I want it to show in bcc so I can see who I am mailing to. Seriously, i would not have downloaded this if I had known they'd get rid of the ease of smart groups. Since there are no smart groups now, why do they even have it listed? The option? I can't see what I can even do with it. Do I sound crabby? Yup. Thank you for helping. I need to bcc to a group of 271 clients. Bad apple! Bad! Seems like newer versions should bring improvments, not the opposite.

    Hi,
    Yes that is what I had to do yesterday and it wasn't easy but quirky, as far as entering names etc to clients. There's now nothing "smart" about it. They should remove the smart group folder since it doesn't really exist now. I was not a happy camper.
    I repeat here what I said earlier in case you did not see it: I called Apple in Cupertino, CA and spoke with someone in Customer Care I think it was. She was nice and listened but said that she has no power with higher-ups and to post here and that they do see it. I hope enough of us post about this issue that they change it! Go to: apple.com\feedback , then to products, choose Maverick (I guess), drop down window and post there. I will too. Thanks.
    I hope she understood I meant it as a smart group issue and not just quirky email issues with gmail etc. Have a good day.

  • How to avoid messages going automatically to the archive folder in Apple Mail?

    Dear list members, I've been using Apple Mail (version 7.3 (1878.6)) on my MacBook Pro 13" (9,2) (MacOS 10.9.4) for years to integrate my GMail, university, and other e-mail accounts in the imap mode. Since some weeks, Mail is behaving odd: some messages are sent automatically to the archive folder. That's quite annoying, as I have to move them manually back to the inbox folder, and sometimes I mess some messages. I did not change any config in Apple Mail or my e-mails servers. Could you please help me solve this problem? Thanks.

    The Archive folder in Apple Mail is linked to the All Mail "label" in Gmail. A label is treated like an IMAP folder, but it really isn't the same thing.
    In case you weren't aware, Gmail saves every email you send or receive inside the All Mail label. In Gmail, you can tag a file with multiple labels. So, a file that comes into Gmail appears in two places at once, the Inbox and All Mail. When you trash a file, the Inbox label is removed, but it still remains in All Mail.
    Previously, the All Mail label was hidden from you in Mail. Apple has been trying to make Mail work with Gmail, but that hasn't been going well.
    I have never had a problem, but I have both Gmail and Apple Mail set up such that any email I trash actually gets deleted and not stored on the Gmail server. I also have it set to no display the All Mail folder at all.  This may not be a fix as others have similar setups, but have problems with Gmail.
    This is how I set it up. I followed the original article, not the Part Deux article. However, you don't need to change the IMAP path prefixes or the label names in Gmail settings. I just have the part where I configured it to delete the emails when I trash them, and hid all the Labels I didn't care to see in IMAP.
    Remember, this may not resolve your problems. I don't know of another "fix."

  • Apple Mail and Gmail IMAP

    With the iPhone coming to Verizon soon, I'd like to move back to Apple Mail from Gmail, but still want to keep Gmail as my source because my domain is setup with Google Apps but mostly because of the unparalleled spam filtering Gmail has. My problem is that even though I've configured Apple Mail exactly as Google recommends (shown below), I still have some issues.
    From the Mail menu, click Preferences > *Accounts > Mailbox Behaviors*
    Drafts:
    Store draft messages on the server > *do NOT check*
    Sent:
    Store sent messages on the server > *do NOT check*
    Junk:
    Store junk messages on the server > checked
    Delete junk messages when > Never
    Trash:
    Move deleted messages to the Trash mailbox > *do NOT check*
    Store deleted messages on the server > *do NOT check*
    I want to have true IMAP functionality here, but I'm not getting it. Sent messages work fine...if I send a message, it shows up in Apple Mail in the Sent folder and when I go to Gmail it is also in the Sent folder. BUT...when I delete a message in Apple Mail it goes to the Gmail *All Mail* folder (in Apple Mail and Gmail) and never shows up in the Gmail Trash on either Apple Mail or Gmail...where it should. I've tried changing the settings under *Apple Mail > Trash* but that doesn't fix the problem.
    I realize some of you might be inclined to say "It's Google problem...ask there" but I'm hoping a Gmail user here might have had this same issue before. Even as a dedicated Apple person for many years, I still can't give up Gmail and their spam filtering that Apple Mail can't come close to. Thanks for any suggestions.

    Thanks, Andy. I should have posted a closure statement on this thread as I finally figured everything out. The most frustrating thing is Google's own advice at http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=78892# couldn't further from correct. After many hours of experimenting with settings, I finally came up with the correct ones. In fact, I'm in the process of writing an article about it since there is simply no definitive guidance on the web that I've been able to find in the time I've searched.
    Your comments are on target...everything on the *Behaviors Tab* needs to be checked (excepts Notes) and the *Delete when* settings must be set to Never. But there are a few other things that must be done, including some changes on Gmail Settings before Mail and Gmail will be perfectly synchronous. I'll post the entire solution on this forum when I finish the graphics.
