Hi all,
I have changed some mapping condition in a already defined XI scenario through IR.
Can you please let me know what all should be activated and if there is any changes to be made in the configuration side(ID) for the changes made in IR for the mappings to take effect in the scenario.

go to the change list of the user and activate the mapping.

No Changes are required in ID.

Change the mapping generation code from sql*loader to pl/sql

I want to use a mapping with a flat file operator to generate pl/sql code even if a mapping generate sql*loader code as default.
I tried to change the Language generation property of the mapping but an API8548 error message is shown. The suggested solution by OWB is to change the language generation code in the property inspector of the mapping.
I can't use external table because I have to work with a remote machine.
What i have to do to change the generation code from SQL*Loader to PL/SQL?

How about breaking this out into 2 mappings? In the first mapping, map a flat file operator to an table using SQL*Loader code. Then define a second mapping using the table as source and therefore generate PL/SQL. Then use process flow to launch the 2nd map to run after completion of first.

Testing AP locations vs. Changing the map

Hi;
I am in an environment with over 40 very active access points that were added to a map that is now outdated in a very busy, ever expanding, warehouse environment. The access points on the map have not been updated since 2009 and many are in the wrong place. My executuve staff however is very sensitive about changing anything in this active environment because the APs are actively being used, anywhere from 18-20 hours a day, often supporting anywhere from 5-40 users at a time per access point (Each use is very little bandwitdh since its mostly orders and inventory of very small components). Because I don't have alot of room to experiment, I need to know if there is a way to update the maps and AP placements without affecting the existing environment. For example, Can I create a new map using current floorplans and place duplicate APs on that map without affecting the existing ones? or can I simply change the underlying map without causing all of the access points to disassociate? I have been told if I move the placements on the existing maps they will disassociate and not work on the floor for up to 15 minutes which is a problem. We may be switching to a 24 hours facility and I need be able to do this before that happens. We also consistently add APs, Floors and change the space with is affecting our coverage. All of the information I've found doesn't address the way we use our wireless which is much more dynamic. Were using WCS 7.0.164.3 feature plus. We use lightweight APs of varying types.
Any thoughts?

Moving APs around in WCS/NCS and or Prime will be transparent to the wireless users. These management tools can be shut down and your wireless will still work fine as these are not a requirement. I change the APs location all the time so you shouldn't worry. It is fine.

Ho to change the mapped System object to the Model to another System object

Hi All,
Initially i have created one system object (TestSystemForVC) for testing the VC application. Then i have started completing the whole development in that perticular model object. many data soruce objects are added to the model using the TestSystemForVC system object.
Now i have created one more system object pointing to Otherclient. in R3. How make use of the same model pointing this new System object for working properly with out doing the complete development of that model.
I just want to map the existing model to new system object. Can any body tell me how to achieve this.

therefore you can use the Alias Manager (see attachment). There you can replace all other system aliases.

Change the DB_LOCATION of a Table in Mapping after Copying it

Hello!
Does anybody know how to change the property DB_LOCATION for table in a mapping after copying it to another modul withhin the same project with OMB PLUS.
After copying the mapping all objects still points to the old objects in the repository. But this objects are now in the wrong module. I have the same repository objects also in the new module and i want to change the mapping operator to point to the objects in the new module.
In the mapping editor you achieve this by reconciling the mapping object with the new object in the other module. How can i do this with OMB PLUS?

After copying a table to a different module, edit the module to set the data location, configure the module to define the location and synchronize the mapping to use this table.
In OMB to synchronize inbound and outbound use OMBSYNCHRONIZE command

PO with FREE of charge position - goods receipt change the average price

Hi Experts,
in our SAP system we have a special situation concerning the PO with free of charge (FOC) items.
We set the flag "Free" in the PO position for all FOC items. When we book the good receipt for these FOC items SAP creates no accounting document and the average price is changing.
for example: 1 pce is on stock with the value 100; we receive 1 pce for FOC
new average price: (100 + 0) / (1 + 1) = 50
this is a big problem for us.
for us - the goods receipt for the FOC articles must be with the actual average price (table MBEW) similar to a return goods booking in the SD Module - movement type 653 !
this means for our example: 1 pce is on stock with the value 100; we receive 1 pce for FOC
new average price: (100 + 100 (acutal average price)) / (1 + 1) = 100
I read a lot of OSS notes and many entries in the forums and I think many other companies have the same problem.
is there any solution possibility to do that in this way?

it is logical that the moving average price changes. if you dont want that, then you either have to have an extra material master for your free of charge stock, or you need to implement split valuation and can then have batches that are not valuated.
But if you have 10 on hand with a value of 20 $, then the moving average is 2$
if you then get another 10 free of charge, then you have 20 on hand with total value of 20$, which just means 20$ div by 20 quantity = 1 $ MAP.
if SAP would not change the MAP in that moment, then the goods receipt is valuated with the current MAP and the total value of your stock increases to 40. but this is then not a free of charge case.

We developped a mapping about one year ago on XI SP9.
The source of the message was an Idoc and the target an XML sample (and not a xsd!) of what our customer expected.
Everything was working fine at that point.
Here is an extract of the output we had:

after a short view I would say that the two structures you have posted are logically equivalent.
I try to make it clear for the sender-element.
In the first example you have a tag <p:sender>. Obviously the namespace prefix 'p' is used here. In order to find out the qualified name of the element represented by that tag you have to find the namespace declaration for prefix p. As the tag itself does not contain such a declaration you have to go to the parent-tag. Indeed, here you find a declaration for p which says that p is just an alias for 'http://localhost/webs/msgDetails.xsd'. Hence the qualified name for the element is: 'sender' in namespace 'http://localhost/webs/msgDetails.xsd'.
Now let us look at the corresponding tag <ns2:sender> in the second document. In oder to identify the qualified name of the element you have to find out, which namespace is bound to the namespace prefix ns2 which has been used here. Again you cannot find this in the tag itself but in its parent. Here you find that ns2 is bound to 'http://localhost/webs/msgDetails.xsd'. (Indeed, here you see that prefix p is also bound to that namespace. This seems to be superfluous to me, as the prefix is never used.)
Consequently, the qualified name of that element is: 'sender' in namespace 'http://localhost/webs/msgDetails.xsd'.
Thus, both tags represent elements with the same qualified name. For more details look at http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml-names/.

Change of Mapping Drives in my system

Dear Sir please help me, i could not install the latest version, it was saying that error please change the mapping G Drive, how could i change the mapping of drive from Gdrive to Cdrive??

Ok, a new message to me but probably the same cause as other people with similar problems.
This can happen if you move one of your personal Windows folders to an external drive or USB key, then remove it. Most often this happens if someone drags My Pictures to an external drive. This is not making a copy, but making a permanent change to the Windows setup.
It doesn't mean that Adobe Reader wants to install to G:. It means it needs to check on the My Pictures folder (for some reason).
The quickest fix is usually to put back the original disk that you used, and drag back the folder.
If you can't find it, just adding anything that becomes G: will usually let the install finish, but Windows will remain broken and this will happen more.

I have created a scenario which is already active in the integration directory. If I change the mapping of this scenario in the repository, how do I make sure this new mapping is used in the scenario.
Do I need to recreate the scenario and then activate it again?
How to get the changes in runtime cache?

Hi ,
No need to do anything. if you changed anything anywhere in the IR or ID you need to activate the object accordingly. Nothing else you need to do.
If you are getting any error after editing something in IR (Running before), just check out the things in that only. Suppose if u changed anything in Message Mapping and then activated the object in IR and then after running whole process you getting any error in MONI, just check the Message Mapping you edited and also try to post the error if u did it correctly.

Changing default map app

Is there any way to change the default map application? I know I can open other Mapping apps, but I specifically mean changing the map application that automatically opens when using other apps. I like the New Mapquest Mobile better, but when I'm using any other app to find a location, they use the default Google Maps. The ability to change this was one of the few things I liked about my Crapberry Curve.

Geolocation MapView- Customizing the Map

I currently have a list that contains a Geolocation type column, and a defaulted map view.
Is there a way to change the map type to be aerial view all the time? Currently, it looks like it is on auto, and map types changes according to the zoom level.

How to change the 'Default operating mode' of a mapping on the repository and not from the client

Hi everybody,
I am using OWB 11.2.0.3 and under the mapping's configuration property, I have the necessity to change the Run time parameter "Default operating mode" to SET_BASED in almost all my mappings.
Because I have 745 mappings in which the Default operating mode is different from SET_BASED, instead to open 745 times the 'Configure' and update manually the value, is there a way to update safely these values (with an oracle predefined script) directly on the repository ?
I know that exists a view called CMPSTRINGPROPERTYVALUE_V based on a table called CMPSCOPrpClasses, but changing this table it's very complicated for me because contains only keys and then I don't know in which way is connected with all the other structures....
If somebody knows a method more efficient to do these updates on the repository and not from OWB client I will appreciated it!

How can I change the BlackBerry Link Network Drive mapping from Z: to something else?

I generally have a mapping to my NFS server on Z:, and my iTunes library has a relative path to Z: for all of my music - the fact that Link is automatically picking Z: as my network sync target for my device does not work for me to sync music, or anything really. I can't figure out how to change this value to something else.
I found the registry key: \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Research In Motion\Device Manager\Device Settings\<DEVICENAME>\VolumeMapping with a default blank REG_SZ - can I use this key at all to manually change drive mappings for my device? If so, what is the key/value pair I need and will this mess up any assumptions taken inside the Link software for synching?
... Also, I have a Feature Enhancement Request to go along with this issue: Add a "Change drive map letter" button beside the "Turn on wireless connections to my computer" button in Link, and add the same option in the context menu to the 'Device Manager' for the mapping (which currently just says 'Explore').

I do not know a lot about this subject but since Device Manager is not a Device and the BlackBerry Phone is not recognized as a Device in Disk management unless Mass Storage is turned ON it looks as if by design you cannot change the Drive Letter.
Also if Mass Storage is turned On in the Phone Settings File Manager and BB link will not work but the BB Phone will then be recognized as a Device in Disk Management and the Drive Letter can be changed, this has no effect on the Drive Letters for Device Manager.
Normally to change the Drive Letter and Paths of a Device once the Device is plugged you would go to Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Disk Management, right click the Device and choose "Change Drive Letter and Paths"
Changing the Registry or Uninstalling Device Manager but keeping BB Link or looking for a Utility that can change the Drive Letter such as the one that many XP users had called TweakUI (only worked in XP) or changing the Drive Letter for your Network may be the only way.

How do I change the default map to one that works. Apple maps nearly killed me today in Leicester as it tried to take me down 2 pedestrian areas, 1 no entry and told me to do a u turn about 6 times at no u turn junctions.

Need to change default map on iphone. The default maps app is dangerous - it wanted to take me down pedestrian areas and through no entries whilst trying to navigate in Leicester. It needs to be removed from my phone as it is a hazard. I clicked on a link in an email and the maps app was opened and so I used it to navigate. Big mistake. This app is a serious hazard!

I don't really want to get into a long debate here, but just to put in some background info. I travel a lot in the uk and have done for many years. For the last couple of years I have used either Nav free or waze as sat nav maps on my iphone. Whilst there has been some errors, they have been useable - and of course you have to use your common sense whilst using them.
On this occasion someone emailed an address to me in Leicester. I wanted to drive from on point in Leicester to this address that has been emailed to me. I clicked on the address in the email and it defaulted to the apple maps and plotted a route. It was about 1 mile away and told me it would take about 8 mins.
This was the worse journey I have experienced with a 'sat nav' - it tried to take me through 2 pedestrian areas and 1 no entry in that short journey. Clearly I didn't go I. The pedestrian areas or turn into the one way. However, the apple. Aps persisted to try and make me take these route, and I. The process kept urging me to take a u turn where it was clearly sign posted that it was illegal to do so.
In the end, I pulled over and switched to Waze - it directed me straight to my destination without any errors.
The point is, I am not talking about a mistake in the middle of no where. This is a major city in the UK - and fairly central ie near the city centre.
Generally I love Apple products and don't knock them as a company.
The original question was genuine- can I change the default mapping app so that I don't end up using the apple maps app again. It was a disaster like nothing I have seen before.
I now know that the answer is no.
Apple clearly need to sort this out.
