In iBooks, I can't highlight the top line of text, and sometimes bookmarks I place appear on the adjacent page.
This has been taking place ever since I upgraded to the iPhone 4S and with it iOS 5. This never happened on any of my previous iPhones or versions of iOS. This problem has occurred ever since October when I upgraded, and has persisted through all version upgrades of iBooks and iOS. It is annoying the **** out of me as I use iBooks frequently.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Press ALT in your keyboard (or F10) to make the menu bar temporarily visible. If you want it to be permanently visible, go into ''View > Toolbars > Menu Bar'', or rightclick the navigation toolbar (the stop button, for example) and select ''Menu Bar''.
If this doesn't help, rightclick the navigation toolbar, select ''Customize...'' and click ''Restore Default Set''. If it doesn't appear right away, try pressing ALT or F10. You can go into ''View > Toolbars > Menu Bar'' to make it permanently visible.
If none of this helps, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Try disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal. -
for instance, when i was typing this question, the blinking line appeared in the box. when i clicked outside the box, it appeared next to the header above this form, as if i could type there.
a lot of the time, if i try to click away, the blinking line applies itself to the entire page. if i do manage to get it to vanish, i can't scroll with my arrow keys; if i don't, hitting the down arrow takes me to the bottom of the page, and hitting the up arrow does nothing.

Is it possible to apply conditional formatting to a cell (or range) based upon a LOOKUP query to cell values in another sheet.?

Your LOOKUP formula will return a value that it finds in the "other" table. That value can be used in conditional highlighting rules. (Numbers 3 calls it conditional highlighting, not conditional formatting. Just to keep us awake, I guess, but it works the same).
Please explain what you are trying to do.

I am having problems with the new itunes set up ........
when i plug in my iphone or ipod touch it shows in the top right hand corner of itunes
BUT when i click on the shown iphone/ipod the icon its no longer there, i was useing this fine yesterday and it was showing yesterday what is on this ipod and would allow me to add/remove music, but now this option is no longer availlable - i have added a couple of albums to my itunes i can listen to the music from the laptop but cannot sync the ipods to trancefer these albums to the handheld devices -
i have been trying to sort this all day with no luck not sure if there is a problems with itunes or is it something i am doing ????

You do not use a WEP password but wpa/wpa2 on router and equipment.
All equipment connects to WiFi, but for your iPad.
Even with all other equipment WiFi off, you cannot connect your iPad.
Your iPad connects to other WiFi nets correctly.
All resets etc done on iPad and Router.
Still I am not sure it is your router for sure, frustrating...
I want to test 2 other things:
1. in your iPad, set everything OFF in Settings/Cellular, turn off/then/on your WiFi, and see whether it will still not connect...
2. If that does not do it: disconnect the router as well as the modem from the power, for 15 seconds, then reconnect the modem, let it fully start, then reconnect the routet let it fully start, turn of your WiFi in iPad, then on, and see whether it will connect. -
after upgrading to IOS 5.1 I no longer can see Verizon at the top of my Iphone and under settings>general>Network>says Not Available Why is this? Did the upgrade cause this?

If this doesn't resolve it you most likely have a hardware failure. Fortunately, your phone is in warranty, so if you take it to an Apple store they will replace it. -
new desktop, new user of Windows 7. Made Firefox my browser as always, with Yahoo as my home page. There is no tool bar at the top of my screen that says "File - Edit -- History __ etc the way I have always had! I can't figure out how to get this, and I need it! Help!!

I have a connection in the top left hand corner and can access the internet with and without internet on my iphone 5c but I can't receive and create texts and calls, someone please help have tried everything!
YOu will need to contact your cell phone provider to resolve those issue, those are carrier features.

ok so PS CS6 if I grab a layer in Group A (yes layer sets sorry) and drop it into Group B, itll put it under anything thats already in Group B, which annoys me! Is there a way of telling PS to default anything dragged from one group to another to default the newly added layers to the top -
O How can I download the book I downloaded on to my Kobo when the top line is missing?
I checked that Adobe Digital Editions is installed correctly. But when I plug in my Kobo and open it I do not see the top line on the left. No word Library, no 3 books. At the top left I see a picture of the book I downloaded and under it Devices and Kobo. When I drag my book over the picture it jumps back and will not load on my Kobo. I tried dragging it over the work Kobo and the same thing happens.
How can this be corrected??

After changing batteries and up date my I Mac to 10.8.2, my BLUETOOTH disappear from my computer. On the top line right corner the symbol says: NOT AVAILLABLE, and the icon is not anymore int my computer's preference. Anyone can help me here?
I've done it two or three time and I still have the same problem. May be I do not do it properly so can you give me the right procedure.

The Volume on my Mac pro is not working. I can't raise or lower the volume and sometimes it mutes by itself. additionally, the speaker button on the top right is garbed out.

it seems to work when you reset the port
try this only after you've made sure that any antiviral/firewall software isnt blocking iTunes and the internet connection settings are fine
1. go to windows, accessories and right click on command prompt and run as administrator
2. type in netsh winsock reset (i know sounds ridiculous but it works type WITH SPACES) and press enter
3. Message saying "winsock reset successful now reboot your computer"
4. restart your computer, and open iTunes..backup should run much smoother and faster
5.Click on iTunes store might be working now -

It's Orientation Lock, which will kee the screen from rotating when you rotate the device.
It's accessible from Command Center- swipe up from the bottom of the screen. You should see the icon to turn Orientation Lock on or off.
