Changing the PicklistView Definition programatically

Hi,
The Picklist View Object is attached to message choice bean .
I have changed PickListViewDefinition of the message choice beans programtically . The message choice beans are also created programtically. The Pick List view object query is executed using setWhereClauseParams. I have created the PickList view object and tagged the same to the Application Module programtically. The picklist view object is getting tagged to the Application Module but the results of the PickList View Object are not getting reflected when the page is rendered.

Have you created your VO also at the runtime or it is a declarative VO? Did you try setting VO instance name instead of VO def?

How to change the Orginial Definition of an Item in OAF

I have an item which the Read Only Property is calling a function through SPEL, and in any personalization level i can only choose between Inherit or True, first there is no False option (which i want to choose), Second i want to know how i could change the orginial definition of the item so i could remove the function from the Read Only Property and make it False.

Can you check from personalization what value is set to rendered property ?? ,there should be an option to make
it true which will remove the SPEL .
If you are trying to make it read only or editable then you can do it from CO extension .

Change the column names programatically

Hi All,
is it possible to change the column name in a table programatically?? my req is like this..I ve a table which contains 60 columns. out of these 60 columns 53 columns signifies the 53 weeks of the year. so i ve to display the date in the column headers. How can i achieve this?

Column prompts can be modified through the OAF Personalization screens. This will ensure you are declaratively setting the values.

Can u change the Standard definition of the badi.

We have a Badi definition FAGL_COFI_ACDOC_MOD which is used for FI postings.
Here in definition filter value is specified on MANDT field, which happens to be client specifc..
Now my requirement is country specific...so i can change the existing badi definition and add up new filter value.
I want to know the consequences of this change.
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Change the attribute kind programatically

I am using ADF BC, Jdeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0, Oracle 10g database.
I have 2 databases, and the same application should support both of them. in the first database, one table has an extra column, whereas the second one does not have that column.
In my entity object I can specify if that column is exist or not base on database function, by my question is can I set the attribute kind (either persistent or transient) for this attribute programatically?
I found a getAttributeKind method in AttributeDefImpl class which return the "kind" enumerations of this attribute. The "kind" of enumeration can be either persistent, derived, row-associated, transient, or dynamic.
AttributeDefImpl (Oracle Fusion Middleware Java API Reference for Oracle ADF Model)
but I did not find any setter method for this property.

If you dont find the solution via programmatically maybe you could use a ternary operator in the query of your VO something like
select
(case when yourFuntionToCheck() then AttributeName else null end) result from dual
I dont know if this could work but maybe you will always get the column 'result' and will come empty if the attribute doesn't exists. If that works, then you could put a meaningful value for you to know that the result attribute doesn't exists so you don't have problems while comiting to data base etc.

... back up all critical data and wipe it clean.
Install everything fresh to your personal preferences.
You'll save so very much time and mental agony trying to make it work any other way.
( and it never will be exactly as you'd hope; you cannot resize the root partition any other way. )

810 Outbound invoice change interface file definition

Hi
we are implementing 810 outbound invoice. In the interface file definition we have to customize it so we can reduce the number of columns in the outbound data file.
do we have to delete the record number or position in order not to appear in the outbound data file. how do we migrate this custom to another instance? it is tedious to do manual updates to the interface file definition sine we dont need most of the columns in the interface file.

If so, did you copy the seeded file definition to create a new file definition or modified the seeded file definition?
How do you add new interface columns and how do you link it to the backend columns? Do you update the record in ECE_INTERFACE_COLUMNS table?
I would really appreciate if you can answer my question.

Change config file properties programatically

hi, all i have created one config file and from that file i am readindg data. Now when i click on this file it shows that this file is in read only format. Now in this same config file i want to write the data but when i try to write data by using write key function it gives me some error just like please check the permission of the file.
For this config file i canot change its permission to archive permenantly. So Is there any way to change the file permission programatically from read only archieve and again from archieve to read only.

You can change the file permissions programmatically using LabVIEW. This allows you to temporarily change the permission and modify the file before restoring the permissions to their original settings.
The Set Permission is found within the Advanced File Functions of the File I/O section of the Functions Palette.

CHANGING THE ROLLOVER COLOR

Hi Friends,
I got a template off the internet which I am using to design my webpage..but for some reason i dont know where to find the area to change the colour of the rollover in the template? The rollover is not an image - just plain text.
have a look at pic attached. Basically when I rollover the text for eg: portfolio, the word "portfolio" changes from Blue to white. How do I change the rollover from white to another colour??? I cant find it I am sure its a simple solution.
Any help will give me face of stoke!

You change the style definition. Look for something like a:hover in the style inside the document or the CSS that comes with it. If you can provide the code/ a link to the page, we can be more specific.

How can I change the state of a runtime menu item programatically?

Using LabView 6.1, I would like to change the state of the runtime menu item "Operate/Print at completion".
The goal here is to print the VI front panel according to the operator choice (OK ->print, Cancel ->don't print)
In a first release, I put a Stop function at the dialog output (activated by the cancel button) but this function stop the complete application and my idea where to stop only the VI in which the dialog is running.
In a second release, I've tried to use the "Application
control/Menu" but I receive every time an error:
Error 88 occured at Cannot modify application menu item in the printtest.vi.
Possible reasons: LabView, Runtime menu error...
Any suggestion is appreciated.

Instead of using the print at completion option, print the VI programatically if the user selects to print...open a reference to the VI you want to print and use an invoke node to print vi to printer.
Alternatively create another VI with a layout optimized for printout, set it to print at completion and run and load the data into that VI if and only if the user OKs the print...

Very strange! All of my calendar events have reappeared. This has happened one week after downloading iOS 7
The calendar however, is not easy to use.
The typing function on the phone has become even slower. Have to wait for each letter to show on screen.

How to change the font color in a strict type def programatically

Could someone suggest a way to change the font color of a string indicator in a strict type def cluster programmatically? The cluster contains a label that is color-coded to match the function of the data channel represented by that cluster. The function of each channel is not predetermined, so the font color needs to be changed programmatically. To represent all channels, I have arranged a large cluster that contains 100 instances of the control. This makes it essential that the control be strictly type defined in order to change the layout of the clusters uniformly.
Can anyone suggest either a method by which I can let the control remain a strict type def and change the font color, or a method by which I can programmatically change the control from a strict type def to a type def? Currently, I am saving the control as a strict type def every time I make a change and then saving it again as a type def when I am ready to run the program. This works fine, but just seems inelegant. This color-coding is used throughout the program in various indicators, so a neat solution would be greatly appreciated.

As mentioned in my Nugget on Type definitions you can create strict type-defs that contain type-defs.
If you make your data definition a type and put that definition in a strict type-def (one of each flavor) you can use the appropraite strict type where each is required.
Yes the data structure will have another level of nesting so if you are "too far gone" you may not like this idea.
Otherwise you can write a VI that opens the typed-def and do a "save as..." and use it everytime you edit the type-def.

One way to to put the videos into an iDVD slideshow
and set iDVD's Slideshow preferences to always scale slides to TV Safe Area.
However, some users have reported that the audio quality using this method is lessened. I've not noticed it but then I don't have a good ear when it comes to that sort of thing. If you add more than one video in the same slideshow do not select any transition.
