Character Bio Category Issue-Help!

I'm working with Adobe Story Free, and I'd like to create documents for the Character Bio category. However, the program will only let me make documents for scripts. Is there anything I can do to create documents for the Character Bio category?

X220 BIOS Update issue

I recently flashed my BIOS (going from 1.26 -> 1.31) prior to installing Windows 7 x64 on a new SSD on my X220. The BIOS update seemed to work OK (I used the lenovo Windows utility to do it), but now I can't save any changes to any BIOS settings. I also cannot reset to defaults - I can't even select some options in the BIOS (e.g. anything to do with UEFI) - the cursor just skips over the lines on screen - and those I can select don't respond to any changes I try to make. I don't get any errors either in BIOS or in Windows, and my X220 boots OK, but obviously there's something wrong there.
After updating the BIOS, I installed the SSD (a Samsung 830) and installed Windows on it - all this worked OK although I was planning to switch to UEFI for the new install and couldn't do so because the BIOS is now uneditable. Everything in Windows seems to work OK.
I've tried re-running the BIOS utility but it reports that the BIOS is up to date and it won't re-apply the current update.
I've checked to see if anyone else has reported this issue here, and found a few reports with similar issues but different situations (e.g. people running Linux rather than Windows, or Wifi not working after the update) - but not this issue exactly.
I'm wondering if this will fix itself when a new BIOS version is released and applied - if that's likely, I'm happy to wait until then (so long as nothing breaks in the meantime). I'd rather do that than pull the CMOS battery (which has been recommended on a few similar threads on here) - but given that the BIOS seems to now be frozen on my machine I'm not sure if future updates will even work.
Has anyone else seen this issue?

Please try updating the Bios using bios.bak file which is created during bios update .
You need to locate the bios file folder on c drive , then find bios.bak rename it with FLASHABLNew.ROM
And click on winplash.exe , use Browse option to " Specify new Bios file " and select FLASHABLNew.ROM
Then click on flash bios , it will flash a message that the bios you are trying to update is older than current version , Press Yes to continue
Press Yes , If every thing goes well , your system will restart and you will have your old bios were you can modify or change any option
Now delete the folder which has the latest bios
Download the latest bios and try to flash to check if you are able to modify or change any option under Bios

Adding photos in Character Bios documents

Is there any way (and for Adobe employees: is there any plan) to add photo content in Character Bios documents? I need to be able to add photos along with the characters' text bios, but not only can I not add it in the document, but when I import a Word doc, it only accepts the text portion of the document.

As I've noted in other threads (and with a Story person at NAB) the general limitations of Story for inputting images is ... incredibly frustrating.
Take the simple and obvious task within a scripting/story-boarding app of creating a story-board. You cannot simply load images into the story-board with your text ... no sirree Bob. You have to find an online photo-serving site that Story can "access" for linking purposes, upload your images to that, THEN link from your story-board to those online images. Note, the images therefore DO NOT LIVE with the actual story-board itself. As you can't upload images to the online storage of scripts or story-boards ... or bios either, the topic of the OP here.
This makes using Story for story-boarding useless ... for practical purposes in smaller shops. Like mine.
It makes it near useless for even scripting for shops like mine. And I WANT a program like what Story could be ... I could use it daily. Video has barged into the professional still-shooter studio scene over the last year in massive way, and your program isn't serving a needing clientele. Like ... moi.
In discussions with a "Story" person at NAB, and the "Sr. Manager" that joined our conversation, it was clear that the staff hasn't thought that much about the marketing of this product for those pro's like me ... and there are thousands of small studios now chasing into small-time video action across the US. I might note that the Speedgrade staff has noted the existence of those like unto me ... and listens. In fact, invites comments.
A useful combination of Story, Prelude, PrPro, Sg & Ae/fx would be a massive help for me.

H61M-E33 (B3) BIOS 12.1 Help Please

I am having the "file not found" bios update issue.
I tried the solution found on the forum as indicated by Svet but I have lost the original Bios Files that were extracted during the update.
If anyone is willing to help me and has a similar Motherboard i will post the instructions:
1) Download the 7680vC1.zip archive from http://eu.msi.com/product/mb/H61M-E33--B3-.html#/?div=BIOS
2) Extract it to an clean USB stick
3) Run it but DO NOT continue the instalation, dont close it either.
4) Acces the USB stick with explorer and copy all its content to an outside folder
5) Cancel the update.
Now all i need is that folder. Unfortunately I can't do the above myself, as the current computer doesn't have an msi compatible board and the application refuses to run.
Note: When the file 7680vC1.exe is runned, a temp folder is created on the stick. That folder is deleted after the update procedure is aborted.
Or any ideas on how to bypass motherboard check?

Why do/did you want to flash the BIOS ? Did you purchase an Ivy CPU with this board ? If so, then you firstly need a supported SB CPU to be able to flash.

Cisco Server VCS C220 M3 Server BIOS password issue

We have a Cisco Server VCS C220 M3 Server BIOS password issue.
We needed to turn on Bit locker in the Cisco Server VCS C220. To do this we needed to create an administrator password for the BIOS to turn on trusted Platform Module (TPM). After we set up the administrator password and turn on Security for TPM. We were prompted for the administrator password. It would not let us log in with the administrator password that we created for the BIOS. In the next few days we received a BIOS is corrupted screen (BIOS Flash Image Corrupted *****).We follow procedures to recover the BIOS with the USB stick with recovery .cap file in the root folder. We tried reseating the jumper pg. 35 of the Cisco Server VCS C220 M3 Server of the Installation and Service Guide.

We were able to bring up the server, but we are still not able to get pass the Admin password issue. We tried to clear the CMOS header with Header J37 page 2-18 but we had no success with clearing out the password prompt. Figure 2-6 Service Header Locations shows the J41 BIOS RCVR boot and J37 Clear CMOS.
Can anyone provide us documentation of where the pins are located on the motherboard to clear the BIOS password? We are looking for more of a detail picture of the pins please. The documentation is only showing a basic diagram of the header locations.

You need to look at the CUCM logs for further info on what might have happened, and to make sure your servers are fit for the amount of users, devices, etc. you have in your environment.

Item Category Issue

While i create packaging in Handling unit ther is a tab of Additional Data in Sales and distribution.In that we have Item Category - Issue is i am inputing manual item category TAN but i want to pick automatically.
I am unable to find the setting for packaging Item category of Sales and distribution.

Apart from what Jignesh suggested, follow the following steps for automatic packing:
1 In the Shipping screen choose Pack/load - Pack delivery. You see the Change outbound delivery screen.
2 Enter the number of the delivery that you want to pack, or select one using the matchcode function
3 Press ENTER. You see the overview screen Change Outbound Delivery: Overview - Quantities.
4 Choose Edit, then Pack. You see the screen Pack Items
If you want to pack all delivery items that are not packed, choose Edit - Automatic packing.
In this function, you do not need to select any items individually. All items and shipping units of the selected delivery that are not packed are automatically placed at the disposal of the user exits for automatic packing.
If you only wish to have certain items in the delivery packed, choose Edit then Autom.pack items
With this function, you must select the items and shipping elements to be packed. Then, only the selected unpacked items are placed into an internal table.
If you have set the supplied example to active, the program automatically searches, in both procedures, for the respective shipping materials for the items to be packed.

You're probably running into the servers simply being swamped. Thousands of people are all going for the software update at the same time. Give it a try again and if that doesn't work, then try plugging it into your computer and trying it that way.
I didn't get a notion of the size, it doesn't seem to be as big as the 700 meg 5.0 update, but it did take me 20+ minutes to download via cable internet so it's a large file. That in and of itself takes a while.
If you're trying to download it directly to your iPhone, you'll need to be on wifi since I'm sure it's well over the 20 meg file size limit for 3G.

Character set change? Help!

I am doing imports and the export client uses ZHS16GBK character set (simplified chinese) and my imports are done in
US7ASCII which is not a super set of the aforementioned character set. I want to change to ZHS32GB18030 which is a super set
of US7ASCII and ZHS16GBK. Is it possible to change my character set in sql plus?
Also could this character conversion cause an IMP-00008 error (unrecognized statement in export file)?

From doing research I have found that IMP-00008 is because the file is corrupt. Is this always the case?
Also, you said there errors would not be because of a character set conversion issue, does that mean I do need to change my character set?

...OK...you're in the wrong forum but here's what happened...your FSB was set to 100 after you flashed...correct setting for 2100+ XP is 133 (2 X 133 = 266MHz)...

GE70 2PE Bios upgrade issue

I am trying to upgrade my bios to the newest one that is on the website but I get the "efi security violation" msg every time! is there a solution to this?
I am also looking into a unlocked bios (donation is no biggy) but I still need to figure this out first before I get a unlocked bios so please help me.
edit: I have switch between windows 7 64bit to win8 to win8.1 as I have 3 different hard drives. but the main OS im using is the win7 64bit and is loaded into the system (running on samsung ssd)

you can flashing with alternatives by using attached file
and depend of OS from where you want to flash to execute:
FLASH.bat = dos
FLASH.nsh = uefi shell
FLASHWIN64.BAT = Win 64 bit

Ever since I had help form Bossman to fix my bad Bios flash https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=121102.0 I am experiencing random and frequent freeze ups. Could it be that I still have optimized defaults loaded through BIOS and something in my system cant handle the settings? Maybe I just need to load regular safe defaults and check it? Has anyone else had this experience? Do I need to reload my OS?
The screensaver has locked it up, and when i tried to play red alert 3 it locked up making a sound like a musical note being drug out. Mouse stops responding as well as the keyboard.

so i must have the 3000mhz because i know i have the 6000+. Thanks for clarifying that. I have run the memory test that appears on the windows xp or vista boot up choosing screen. I haven't messed with any of the bios settings since the reflash so especially if a 6000+ cant or shouldnt be OC'd, then I shoudl probably go back and load basic defaults. Am I wrong in assuming the optimal defualts are over clocking settings MSI made up?

If it's backed up, it won't be gone.
Be sure you've transferred all iTunes media purchased on your phone into your computer's iTunes library.
Make sure you're synching your contacts with a cloud service or your computer's contact manager app.
Make sure you've imported all pictures taken by the iPhone into your computer.
You should be good to go.

Officejet Pro 8600 Plus connection issue - HELP!

I have a strange issue: after some hours, the communication link is dropped between the computer and printer. When this happens, IE becomes unusable and will not connect to anything. This is replicated on three XP home machines. The fourth, a vista ultimate machine, does not seem to be affected (yet). I get the "scan to computer is disabled" error. It cannot be re-enabled. At this point I cannot print either. I can reach the embedded web server on the printer via firefox and can still surf using firefox. I can ping the printer, but again once the connection is dropped, no printing or scanning to the computer. The only thing I've found that resolves the issue (temporarily) is to reboot the computer, which just starts the cycle again.
last night I installed the software on an XP machine and the laptop to test when the connection dropped. They lasted from 7pm Monday until I got home at 5pm Tues. The machines were not used. Once I started using them (firefox only), then they dropped the connection within a half hour of each other around 7pm. The other XP machine lasted from 7pm Mon until 7am tues, when my wife started using it and then noticed it dropped sometime that tues between 7 and 9AM. An 11am tues reboot ran OK until 10 pm tues when connection was lost again (and IE is now dead). The Vista machine has been running since 7pm monday until now (930pm tues) and still seems to be holding.

two XP machines are hardwired, vista is hardwired, and last xp machine is a laptop on wireless.
I've swapped cables rebooted and reinstalled multiple times. I must have a file a mile long on the support phone line. They were unable to fix it. I asked this to be escalated, but who knows when I'll get a response.
I've toggled firewalls - XP built in
I've uninstalled anti virus software
I've even put up with crazy suggestions from tech support like changing the router channel (uhh, it is wired!)
one xp machine had an AIO 4215 hooked via USB and the others printed to it via network, but the printer has been deleted from the networked machines.
I can ping 127.0.0.1 which is supposed to indicate the tcp service is OK.
I have not reset winsock .. I can see one machine being bad, but three????
malware / virus scan shows no issues. Again one maybe, but three??
The only thing I can think of is that there is something in the XP networking stack that conflicts with the new 8600 software as hours pass. Perhaps there is some polling operation that goes on then dies after some time, then it kills IE as it dies.
When the printer works it is great, but rebooting is not a permanent solution to this.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!! I am stumped and so is tech support. They are sending it to engineering, but who knows when they will respond.

well it looks like I have a working solution ... I downloaded a freeware file called process.exe . I made a cmd file via notepad with the following contents:
rem this is to keep the HP network printer communicating with the desktops

Start "" "C:\Program Files\HP\HP Officejet Pro 8600\Bin\ScanToPCActivationApp.exe" -deviceID CNXXXX:NW -scfn "HP Officejet Pro 8600 (Network)"
the XXXX is your printer serial number with an extra character or two. Pull that number from the port tab after you pull up "properties" for the 8600 printer.
This cmd file basically restarts the printer link. It opens a command window that launches the program to re-establish the link.. then it closes the command window. The launched program shows that the communication link is dead (just for a few seconds), but then it makes the connection... THEN you hit the close button and coninue your work until it dies again.
I may have it autorun every X hours if I can narrow down a good time. Until then I have a shortcut on the desktop to "FIX HP LINK" ... I only had to do this for my XP machines, as the vista one seemed OK.
What ticks me off is that I shouldn't have to do all of this diagnosis. It would be nice if there is a fix in the pipeline so the link stays stable al the time. I've spent hours trying to figure this crap out.
Anyhow, I hope the time I spent helps someone. PS, thanks to the OJ6500 thread that had the info for the scantopcactivationapp.exe program.
PS ... I'm still waiting for an engineer to contact me, if any HP employees are reading this.
PSS I haven't tried this without killing and restarting the hpnetworkcommunicator stuff, but it works for now.

Product category issue

We are upgrading from SRM 4.0 to SRM 7.0 system. we are facing some issues in Shopping cart
1. Product category is getting defaulted in SC for all the line items. we have not maintained default in extended attributes and in default settings in SC also we tried to remove Product category but it is mandatory field and system is not allowing us to give blank and when i have given product category at SC Default settings it populates to all line items. Our requirement is product category should be blank at SC level and user will select. How to find the solution for this
2. G/L Account is not populated based on the product category ( we have maintained at config level for product category and G/L Account but it is not populating when SC is created with that product category

last product category or first product category is showing as default for all your sc. before you order you can change it right .
or create a dummy product category and make it default.
