Charged £130 for Engineer

Hi there, my issue is as follows
a)     Oct 2009 – took out 18month contract with BT for Full Package (Vision, Phone, BB) including the homehub
b)     Feb 2011 – moved house, told house would require an engineer visit to set up at this house as it didn’t have an active line
c)     Told I could unplug my Homehub, plug it in, and it would work
d)     Entered into an 18month extension to waiver the so called 'required' £130 engineer charge (as opposed to 12 month and £130 charge)
e)     Told day before engineer arrived by Text, that no longer required to ensure everything was working! (duped into an additional 6 months it seems)
f)      Phone did not dial out. Kept getting a BT lady saying Im sorry you cannot make outbound calls from this number. I did have a dial tone, bb worked and I could also receive calls... so the homehub was working, but not completely
g)     Raised a fault with BT
h)     Instructed how to check the phone – power off/on ensure things are connected into the homehub etc. Told likely something their end, they will look into the matter
i)      BT later said fault fixed – it wasn’t
j)      Raised fault – told was fixed – wasn’t so raised again – FOUR TIMES this happened
k)     Told I required a BT engineer – no mention of any cost whatsoever (no way would I have agreed to it if this was the case)
l)      Engineer came out for 5minutes – didn’t fix the fault. The line was working but the BT homehub wasnt
m)    I again rang BT fault services, eventually someone guided me to fix the problem ‘Reset to default settings’ on the homehub. Advice not given on the 5x I raised the fault, and advise not given when I extended my contract being told I simply had to unplug and plug my homehub into the BT phoneline for it to work - not true
n)     I got the £130 charge in this upcoming bill
o)     Rang customer services today, Told by a Customer Services manager – Charges would stand – reason being when I said I ‘checked’ the equipment – I hadn’t done so correctly – despite me following the guidelines of the technical team over the phone each time I re-raised the fault
I am so annoyed with this charge – my time with BT has been nothing but a shamble, and most annoying was I entered into an 18 month contract so it would all be set up and working at my new house with no additional cost – I was told an engineer would come as required, to later be told they “were not required”.
I am then charged £130 when I am told they now ARE required to visit to start using my BT phone on a BT line – and not told of any costs…. something if I was told – I would not have accepted – I don’t make outgoing calls as it is.
Really hoping you can help and look into this, I feel sick to the bone with this charge - this is £130 I don’t have to spend - times are hard enough in this climate without being unjustly charged for £130. The rude BT customer service man was having none of it – in as many ways calling me a liar, without saying the word.
I told him to go and listen to my phonecalls and see anywhere where I was told about a charges - he said he 'might' but would send out a letter saying this is his final stance on the matter.
I would appreciate any help on the matter.
Adam

  • £130 Charge on Bill for Engineer who never visited...

    Good Morning,
We are new to the forum, forgive us if we are doing this incorrectly but we are at our wits end.  Our latest bill arrived and we have incurred a £130 charge for a BT Engineer who did not come to our property nor fix any fault.  We have queried this of course, but the advisor has told us according to the records the engineer was on his way to our property. This of course was news to us, we were unaware an appointment had even been scheduled.  She said then she would take our complaint to the next level (this was on Weds) and that a manager would contact us within 24-48hrs, which has not been done.
We had BT Infinity installed with anytime calls package on the 6th March 2012, everything was fine until Sunday 11th March when after 9.00 a.m we discovered we had no phone line or broadband service. We rang on our mobile and they tested the line said it was all working OK! and that we must have faulty equipment, we duly went to Argos and purchased a new phone, still did not work. We switched the hub on and off, followed all the instructions still nothing.  At 17.00hrs the hub started flashing, we checked the phone and we had a dial tone, so we presumed work must have been carried out locally on an exchange for our service to be distrubted between 9 and 5. The next morning we received a phone call from a BT engineer which we thought was a courtesy call and we told him that everything was fine now, he agreed that it could have been possible that they had been working on an exchange. The call must have lasted all but 3 mins, now we find we are being charged for this. Also on the BT website it does state that if an engineer visits your property and finds fault with your equipment there will be a charge of £99 inc VAT, how comes we are being charged £130 for NO VISIT AND NO FIXING OF ANY FAULT. We will of course be taking this matter further. Has anyone else out there been charged £130 for nothing?

  • Unfair engineer charge - charged for engineer atte...

    Hello,
Wondering if anyone knows how I can get an unfair engineer charge properly looked into - I've had a call back from BT about it but the person I spoke to really didn't seem to have a good understanding of the issue.
For many months, I experienced frequent (but unpredictable) loss of broadband sync, and reported it to my provider, Plusnet, who could see the connection dropouts from their end, and sent an Openreach engineer (Engineer #1).  He couldn't find the cause of the problem.
Plusnet then told me to report the problem directly to BT, which I did, and made it clear that it was a broadband fault.
BT sent an engineer (Engineer #2) who told me he couldn't properly diagnose the problem.  Although he was a broadband engineer, he didn't have the necessary information to diagnose the problem because it hadn't been entered as an SFI job.  He ran some tests, which completed successfully (above the threshold for a pass), but he said there was room for improvement and replaced an old junction box between the door and the master socket, which improved the test scores (92% to 99% - something like that).  Since the problem was an intermittent broadband problem, we couldn't confirm whether the problem was resolved.  It is this visit that I am being charged for.
I monitored the connection over the next week, and it continued to drop.  I reported the fault again to BT and added that I was suspicious that the problem might be weather-relatedr, and they sent another engineer (Engineer #3).  This engineer could not find any problem that could be causing the drop outs.  However, they had once again failed to set this up as an SFI visit, despite me specifically asking them to, so the engineer didn't have the information necessary to diagnose the fault.
I reported the problem to Plusnet again and asked them to set up the SFI visit via BT Openreach since my efforts were getting nowhere.  They could see the connection dropouts continuing, and set up an SFI visit.  The OR engineer missed the appointment but eventually I got a visit from Engineer #4 who fixed the fault.  He found a problem at the telegraph pole (none of the previous engineers had bothered to look there) where the junction box had been left open and there was water ingress - he also changed the 'blue beans' connections there.  He also redid my internal wiring, as he wanted to take the internal wiring out of the equation in case the problem continued.
BT have charged me for Engineer #2, even though it didn't fix the problem.  They are saying there is 'no proof' that the problem wasn't fixed, since Engineer #3 couldn't find a problem.  I think this is totally ridiculous - Engineer #3 couldn't find what was causing the problem, which is quite different from there not being a problem.  Further, Engineer #3 was not even on an SFI visit, due to BT logging the job incorrectly, so he didn't have much chance of finding the problem anyway.  The fact that Engineer #4 fixed the problem would surely prove that there WAS a problem, but BT will not acknowledge this visit, since it was an OR engineer sent by Plusnet.  I've got the engineer's report on my Plusnet ticket, and graphs of the connection dropouts, but would BT accept this as 'evidence'?
I am at my wits' end with this - this problem went on for months, and required time off work for FOUR engineer visits plus a missed appointment.  I can't believe they are trying to charge me 130 pounds for spurious reasons.  In a fair world they would be compensating ME for months of inconvenience.
Do I need to take this to the Ombudsman to get a fair hearing?
    Thanks for reading.

  • Why was I charged for Engineer Home Improvement Se...

My latest phone bill includes £129.99 for "Engineer Home Improvement Service charge".
This is puzzling. At the end of last year my broadband service was a disaster. Constantly dropping and all over the place.
Thanks to the excellent support I received elsewhere in this forum, an "engineer" called and fixed it.
The problem was not on my premises, but in an external cable that BT had installed many years ago. The engineer disconnected that connection at the BT junction box entering my house and the line suddenly improved.
I was told that external lines issues were down to BT.
The engineer replaced the somewhat corroded junction box and the first phone socket into the house. I asked for neither of these changes. It was the engineer's idea. At no time did he suggest that there would be a charge for this work. Had he done so, I might well have declined the offer, certainly at that price.
Is there an explanation for this charge? How do I query it?

    Hi michaelkenward,
We can investigate the charge for you and review the engineers report to find out why they have raised this as a chargeable visit. Please use the 'contact the mods' link in my forum profile under the 'about me' section to send in your details. You can find the link by clicking on my username.

  • £260 Callout for Engineer

We called BT because the phone would ring once and then stop, so we couldn't answer any calls. The engineer came out and fitted a new connection box and the phone has been OK since.
On checking the direct debit amount taken for this quarter's bill there was a charge of £!30.  We weren't told when we called BT or by the engineer that we would have to pay £130 for a callout.  I logged into the BT account section and there are TWO charges of £130 on the bill (both for the same date), bringing the total to over £300.
I have contacted customer services but was just told that the charge was £130 and that was all I could get out of them.  So what the heck is the other £130 and how do I get it cancelled!  Also do we have to pay the £130 for the connection box?
Is there someone we can contact for a solution to this?
    Solved!

Hi Sue3003, and welcome to the forums.
When you say a new connection box do you mean the main socket where the wire comes into the house and the phone is plugged in.
If so there should be no charge as up to and including main socket is BTs responsibility, and there must be a mistake with the double charges anyway.

  • Infinity speed slowed to 3mb, charged £100 for eng...

I signed up for BT Infinity in October 2012, predicted download speed was 36mb.
Extremely happy with the speed, confirmed at 36 megabits per second by speedtest.net and achieving in excess of 4 megabytes per second during downloads.  I'd get the occasional disconnection then reconnection, taking about a minute or two, but generally 99% reliable & stable.
After several months I was aware the speed had dropped, from memory, I'd seen it at 20mb, then 15mb, then 10mb.  By May 2013 I was as low as 4mb.
So in 8 months, I was only able to get 11% of the download speed predicted and achieved at initial installation.
My main PC had a new SSD hard drive installed in May, so previous speedtest results were lost but I have all since May 28th 2013.  These can be seen here:
    http://www.speedtest.net/results.php?sh=1034aaad444180356b1f475032640bb1&ria=0
So my infinity connection was working, it hadn't failed, but it was performing well below expectations.
I now know that BT caps the performance when there are errors on the line, and by June my infinity was capped at 3.5mb.
Having read a bit about IP profiles and performed the three tests at the BT wholesale speed test, the site advised I contact my service provider.
BT were contacted, tests were performed again, and an appointment for an engineer to visit was made.
Engineer came on the 24th of June 2013, his exact words were, "this hasn't been installed properly, and your connection shouldn't be working at all".  He then carried out some work, moved the master socket from a cupboard to the same room with the modem & router, but didn't actually attach the master socket to a wall, disconnected an extension cable, which wasn't being used.  Then I believe he had my line reset and voila, I now had 33mb download speed again.
I assumed no charge would be incurred as he had stated the problem was with the initial installation.
A further speedtest on 7th July (14 days later) showed my speed had dropped to 21mb.  This was still an acceptable speed, fast enough for HD video on demand etc.
By the 13th July it was 18mb.
21st of July it was 16mb.
By the 1st of August it had recovered to 23mb.  The first upward blip of an otherwise downward trend.
My next test on 18th August showed it had dropped to 10mb.
Then 7mb on the 22nd, and 6mb by the 25th of August.
At this point I looked up my account number from my online bill so I could register another complaint, this is when I saw I had been charged £100 for the engineers visit in June.
I called to query this, and was told there was nothing in the engineers report mentioning the problem with the initial installation and that the charge would stand, I pointed out that the work the engineer had carried out had not fixed the problem, I was then referred to Lucy who would review the decision.
Lucy pointed out there hasn't yet been a 2nd complaint logged with technical, I pointed out I was trying to resolve this charge first and I was wary of having another engineer visit if it was going to cost me £100 every time and that the engineer had either lied to me when he said the problem was with the installation or he'd lied in his report to cover for a work colleague by not mentioning it, in any event, the work he'd carried out had not fixed the problem.  Lucy advised to call the review team again after I'd contacted technical but that I wouldn't be charged for an engineer visit if it was to fix the same problem more than once in a 6 month period.  I then asked if that meant I could still be charged again if after 6 months the problem was still ongoing, so £200 per year extra on top of my bill, the answer was yes.
I contacted technical and the same engineer who carried out the initial installation visited on the 30th of August, he performed line tests, all were fine, he replaced the modem and stated he would include in his report that this was purely precautionary, he then told me he would have my line reset to full speed but that because he hadn't found any faults, whatever was causing the problem was likely to occur again.
My speed went from 5.9mb to 34mb on 30th August.  Today 13th Sept it is still a fantastic 31mb.
I called the review team again about the charge, was told this was the final appeal to look at this and was told “because it was longer than 28 days between the faults being reported, they couldn't treat this as the same fault and that the £100 charge would stand”.  I tried to point out that the issue wasn't a fault, my connection never failed, the issue was one of quality, the quality of the service had been 10% of expected performance and 15% of expected performance.  No he said, nothing could be done, the charge was going to stand because I hadn't reported the fault within 28 days and this was my fault.
So an engineers visits, resets my line replaces the master socket but doesn't fix the underlying problem, a second engineer predicts he also hasn't fixed it, although 14 days later we still have 92% of our expected speed, was it the precautionary modem change or is my BT Infinity superfast broadband line speed still destined to drop to sub standard broadband levels?
Either way, there is/was a fault with the BT installation, hardware or network, yet I am charged £100 with a possible further charge of £100 for the 2nd engineer visit, yet to be confirmed, plus any number of future engineer visits with a further risk of £100 charges each time.
An engineer has lied to me or omitted in his report what he thought the fault was.
One person from the review team told me I wouldn't be charged more than once in a 6 month period for multiple engineer visits to correct the same fault, another member of the review team told me any subsequent fault not reported within 28 days would be treated as a different fault.
I am less than a year into a 24 month contract, for large parts of that contract I have not been given the service I'm paying for.
If anyone with a concern for customer care would like to look into this for me, a positive resolution will likely see me remain a loyal BT customer for years to come generating thousands in revenue.
If not, I'll transfer my internet service to another provider, break my contract with BT, reclaim partial payments already made through the direct debit guarantee scheme and happily spend thousands contesting monies owed in court.
I'm willing to risk thousands in court over a matter of a £100 charge.  This is where BT customer care has left one of its customers.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Just recieved a letter dated 11th September 2013.
Detailing in writing what I've been told verbally why the charge is being upheld.
In response to my point that the first engineer visit did not fix the problem, I am told -
"I can find no further reported problems with the broadband service until approximately 2 months later, as such unfortunately we have no evidence of a continuous fault on this service and would have to conclude that the engineers report and the subsequent charge is correct".
My logged & saved speedtest.net results show I lose 40% of the performance within 13 days of the engineers visit, 33mb drops to 20mb.
My speed drops from 33mb to 20mb because the BT network caps my download speed (I am told this is because of line errors), is that correct?  Isn't there a record of this capping?  I have provided a link to my speedtest.net results here http://www.speedtest.net/results.php?sh=1034aaad444180356b1f475032640bb1&ria=0
If anything, shouldn't the capping of my broadband speed on a line that has just been supposedly repaired by a BT engineer be a cause for concern and have prompted someone at BT to contact me to notfiy me the fault is still ongoing.
Good thing I have proof of the continuous fault or someone might have to take my word for it.
Even with this evidence that I can provide, evidence which BT themselves must also have, do BT still get to claim this is not a continous fault?
That my speed recovers from a low of 48% to 70% of the performance, 36 days after the engineer visits, does that mean I miss out on the 28 days between faults being reported making it not a continous fault?
I am sitting on 18% of the performance by the time the 2nd engineer visits, 67 days after the 1st engineer, possibly costing another £100, still yet to be confirmed.
He performs various tests, but the only work he carries out is to replace the modem, a precautionary measure he tells me.
17 days after his visit, I am still getting almost 93% of the performance.  If the speed is going to drop again, I hope it does so in the next 11 days, or this £100 recurring charge could get properly silly.
As this is the most consistent performance I've ever had on my line, I suspect the speed won't drop again, I suspect the modem was the problem all along, and if this had happened after the first engineer visit, this wouldn't be an issue, I would have happily paid the £100 for a BT engineer to change a piece of faulty BT hardware so that I can continue to be a satisfied BT customer.
Instead, I am still entirely unsatisfied, despite having a perfectly good working BT infinity service.
Why should I be charged when an engineers fails to diagnose the actual problem and carries out work that is chargeable yet fails to remedy the problem?  Are engineers on commison for these charges, is this actual criminal fraudulent corruption that has occured or is just innocent incompetence?  Either way, it's me that's footing the bill.

  • Please help, Verizon is charging me for a returned device that came up as an empty box

    Hello Everyone,
I have done all I could to right the wrong that Verizon is doing to myself and I'm sure others have experience this same issue that I'm going through. Back in April 2012, I was having issue with my phone overheating and losing charge quickly; so, I went to Verizon Wireless store and see what they could do about it. They offer to order me a certified like new replacement iphone 4s and I told them yes that will be good. A couple of days later, I received the replacement iphone. So I packed my defective iphone 4s and follow everything that was on the return instruction. I packaged it and used the smart post return label as was instructed on the paper. I went to my local USPS and dropped it off to their associate. I kept the tracking smart post label receipt; so, I could tracked it. On April 18, 2012 the phone was delivered and accepted at Ft Worth, Texas which is the Verizon Wireless warehouse. Two weeks later on May 2, 2012, I got a text msg stating that my account will be charge 500 dollars for unreturned device. I called customer service and spoke with a rep named Domenik. I asked him why was I getting charged this amount when the phone has been delivered and accepted on the 18th of April. He told me that the warehouse was slow and sometimes lazy to process it (if verizon doesn't believe me, i'm pretty sure they record this conversation call and I can ask them to play the recording of this call; so, they can hear that this was said to me). I didn't make a big deal about it as long as they are able to resolve this and take the charge of my account. Domenik proceeded to start a returned investigation form to their warehouse and gave me the form # 119072. He said that everything will be taken care of it. So, I asked again if there was anything I needed to do on my end and he said no. I took his word for it and just waited.
About couple of weeks later on May 30, 2012, right about the time I usually get my bill update from Verizon. I got the bill and it was large amount ($1,136). I called customer service again, to find out what is going on and why is my bill so high. I spoke with a rep named Gibelle and she told me that when the return investigation was done the box came with no phone. I was asking her how can that be? She was telling me that there was no phone and that I should contact their fraud department, which happened to be close by the time I called. The next day on May 31st, I spoke with a rep named Daniel who actually was helpful and polite. He took it a step further and see if he can look up the phone with the IMEI number. To verify it, I gave him the IMEI number from the original box of the iphone and it matches the one that is active since May 11 on a different Verizon Wireless account. So he tried to give me a credit pending for 849.99 which got denied since the box came as empty.
I called again to follow up and ask why are they denying it. I spoke with this rep named Aliyah, who was very rude and didn't belong in the customer service field. She wasn't very helpful and from the sound of her tone, she was suggesting if i were you I would file a police claim and telling me that this out of their hand. So I asked if I could talk to her supervisor; a moment later after being on hold, I spoke with a supervisor named Ken. I explained my situation to him and he says that he understands and that he'll open up a fraud case with their fraud department and he'll follow up with me after about 24-48 hours.
From what I have experience so far; I didn't want to rely on any Verizon employee. So I called the customer service and asked to be transferred to their fraud department. I was able to get in touch with someone in the Fraud department and get a case started. I was told it would take 3-5 business days to follow up from the date it was open (June 3, 2012). I waited after 5 business days and heard nothing. I called directly the Fraud department that following Saturday and spoke with a rep named Shannon, he told me that it looks like my case hasn't even been looked into but he said that'll he would be able to transfer me to someone who can have access to more information regarding my case. So I spent about an hour on hold, and I ended with him again and he said that they were short on staff on the weekened and experiencing high volume calls. He suggested I call back later and try again. I called back several hours later and spoke with Rob. He told me the same thing that I would need to call back and talk to someone who has more access to this case. So, he recommended I call back on Monday. That following Monday, I called back and got a very unhelpful and rude ( right from the very beginning) rep named Aneth. She was telling me do you have the return receipt and told me that without it they can't do anything. This was completely something different from others have been telling me when I started this case. So I told her, no one has told me that this required in ordered to start this investigation case. I asked to be transferred to a different rep that is willing and knowledgeable about what they're doing. I was then transferred to this rep named Leean and tried to help me. I told her my situation and everything that I have done my end. She asked to file a claim with my local USPS and FedEx. I told her I have done that already and there were nothing that both USPS and FedEx can do for me. USPS have said that it was a prepaid label and I wouldn't be able to file a claim and that I wasn't the recipient. She ended up telling me that I would need to get USPS and FedEx to contact them and that they would speak on my behalf regarding this case. So that night, I called FedEx again and see what they can do about the starting a claim case and calling Verizon. I spoke with a FedEx rep named Jim and he told me that they won't be able to do anything; since, it was a smart post return label. At this point, I'm running out of options that I can do on my end to resolve this issue. I went to my local Verizon Wireless store and ask to see if they can help me with this issue. I was told to file a police report. So, I finally filed a police report at my local police station. The police officer gave me the case number and will see if anything can be done about this. The police officer even said I hope they're not charging you for this and I said, "yep verizon is actually charging me for 850 for this". He was surprised when he heard that.
Today, I just a voicemail from the Fraud department stating that this investigation has concluded and that it wasn't fraud and nothing can be done about my issue. My bill is about to be due on June 20th, and I told the customer service rep and the reps from the fraud department that I will continue to pay my normal monthly bill but I won't pay the 850 dollars.
I ask and beg anyone out there who has experience this same issue as myself or who is going through the same; for information or help on how to get this resolve. I feel like verizon is giving me the run around and shafting me big time. I have been a Verizon wireless customer service since my freshman year of college and I don't want to leave Verizon. They have been good to me the past 10 years and have gotten great coverage on their network. This is the very first time I'm experiencing this with Verizon and so far it has been a nightmare. I followed everything that was on the return procedure and used the smart post return label and in the end, I'm the one that is being penalized for it. It's insane that Verizon won't do anything about it and keeps telling to try a FedEx claim or USPS claim. This is robbery, unfair, wrong and they shouldn't be allowed to do this to their customers. I will continue to fight this because I know for a fact that I returned that iPhone in that box; which is now currently active since May 11 on someone else's account. So, please anybody who can help me out regarding this matter; I would greatly appreciate it.
The last option I can think of is to take this up to court and hire a lawyer. I don't want to leave Verizon but if it comes down to it, I guess I will have to. This is wrong and I asked everyone who can help me to please do so. Sorry for my rant, but I have done everything that I can do to resolve this issue but it has gotten me nowhere. It's just unbelievable and sad how Verizon could treat their customers like this, get away with it and not even help.
Thanks Verizon wireless for shafting a loyal customer. Loyalty goes both ways, I guess with Verizon it's only 1 way.

Tmobile did the exact same thing to me. So that is customer service at work in general. Nice try though lol.
    To the OP
I see you said You paid for shipping, did you Insure it? Claim insurance on it. If you did not, It may not be Verizon or your fault in the sense of the phone not making it to the warehouse. There are people out in the postal world that will steal phones that are not insured. It could have been a Verizon employee, i suppose.
But, if this was to be a bought in court, if you shipped it with out insurance, sadly your at fault.
Do you still have the Serial number of your old phone? If so, you should be able to track where your phone is (if it is reported as a defect/damaged) If so, you may be able to use that as proof. If it does not show up as a defect or what ever they determine use as a loss, then you know it did not make it to the warehouse to be checked in. I would suspect Apple or Verizon could tell you what the Serial number came up as.

  • HT201272 I have purchased a movie and elected to download later; when I go to the iTunes store, it shows where it is purchased yet when I go to the movie it ask for it to be purchased, will I be charged twice for the movie I have not downloaded yet?

I purchased the movie "Black Nativity" at midnight and selected to download later; it shows that the movie has been charged in my account for billing, however; I when I go to download the movie, it ask for it to be purchased versus download.  I would like to know if I will be charged again for the movie upon selecting  purchase movie?  I would like some direction as for how to download the movie that I already purchased.

Clicking on its purchase price again may result in you being charged again. Does the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option download it
Or does it show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage for downloading

  • Can someone please tell me why when I order an Itunes app. , do I always get charged twice for the same thing.  It has happened on two different occasions.  Does it have anything to do with having 2 different ipods linked to the same account?

Can someone please tell me why when  i order an app on my sons ipod, do I get charged twice for it?   When I tried do report a problem with the charge, it said that I can not get a refund on that item.   This is the second time this has happened to me.   Does it have anything to do with having more then one ipod linked to the same account?   Thanks for any help you can give me!!!

It has nothing to do with have more than one device using that account.
After you purchase it once, you redownload it on other devices by the following, not like purchasing a new app.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If you really got charged twice for purchases the same app twice with the same account contact iTunes again by:
Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us
Make sure that they are really the same app first.

Should have I let it to get discharged in order to fully charge it ? Somebody told me I should have let it discharged and then to fully charge, but I didn't do it, my iphone is working very well, the battery too but I'm worried if the battery lifespan is gonna get worsen soon if I didn't abide by the rules and procedures of battery charging.
I had problems on my previous iPhone 4s, it died because I didn't replaced the battery with a new one because my battery never worked well and I never knew it , the battery used to overheat my iPhone and it caused to damage my processor completely to death. Who does the replacement of the iphone processor?  I need help how to maintain with the iphone battery. And also let me know if I did something wrong that I should get worried about or not ?!?!

Apple does not fix the iPhone 4S, they replace the phone. If not covered by warranty, called an out of warranty exchange. Cost is US $199. Make an appointment at any Apple store.
Be aware, Apple does not sell iPhone parts, thus there is no legitimate source for genuine parts.
