Charging two iphones with one USB cord?

Is there a product available that can charge 2 iPhones (iPhone + iPhone 3G) by using one USB port? I don't have that many ports open and I guess I can find a HUB but I am running out of deskspace.
Cheers

This is not a good idea unless you get a powered hub (plugs into the wall power).
There is only 500ma available on a computer's USB port, and each phone can draw 1000ma, so you would have a serious power drain on that port. Powered hubs can help.
But the wall wart supplied with the phone can help too. It can kick out 1000ma.

How to sync two IPhone with one PC , but with different applications ?
We have two IPhones , but one PC , we want to sync separately , is that possible ?

Absolutely, connect each phone, select what content you want on each phone, then hit the sync button. iTunes will keep everything straight, by device, upon subsequent syncs, including separate backups.

  • Can I sych and back up two Iphones with one Itunes on Win 7 without loosing data?

    hello,
I just purchased an iphone 4s for my wife and I want to connect it to Itunes.  I am affraid that if I do so I will loose my Iphone contacts or get them mixed with her phone.  Is there a way to connect two phones to one Itunes program and have two of them backup and sych without a conflict?  Can we share the same music library or paid apps?  I understand that there is a way but this is not too clear to me.  Please help!
I have made a copy of my library just in case before I start messing with it.
    Thank you!

  • Syncing two iphones with one computer

A co-worker and I share a secretary. We'd like to be able to sync our individual calendars (in Outlook '03) on our secretary's PC.
    Is this possible?

    UPDATE:
Well I thought I figured it out when I realized iTunes gives you the option of syncing only selected calendars. My plan was to check only my calendar to sync with my phone and Gary's calendar to syn with his phone.
Unfortunately, the option to sync only selected calendars is grayed out in iTunes. I can only check the "sync all calendars" box.
Surely others have figured out how to sync two phones with one computer and only have the data you specify synced to the specific phone.
Do I have to create another Windows user account where only Gary's calendar is maintained and then switch back and forth between user accounts whenever syncing?
Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Two iphones with one appleid

Two iphone 5's coming tomorrow.  I have one iphone 3G (long overdue upgrade finally) I will be upgrading to iphone 5.  I will also have a second iphone for my wife.  Windows xp home PC.
Should I use the one apple id?
    Any disadvantages?
I assume with one id both phones will get the same apps and music with only having to purchase each app/music once - is that correct?
When I sync the phones daily or weekly will both phones get everything the same such as podcasts that get downloaded, etc?
What about notes will each phone keep notes the same or seperate?
    What about mail?
What about settings on the phone such as brightness, app arrangement on each page - is that the same or is that different based on how each person sets up their phone?
    Thanks

my husband and I have shared an apple id for the last year or so, and it's been fine - when either of us download an app, it shows up in the appstore as "install" for the other person, rather than downloading automatically.  I think you can set it to download automatically, but I don't want my phone filled up with all of his crap
Mail can be set up independently, as can notes etc.  If you want them to be shared, have them back up to the cloud, and the notes will be shared.
Phone settings are not shared, nor are ringtones etc.
Only problem we're having now is with imessage - he's getting all my messages, but I'm sure it's just a setting that needs to be fixed - i have organised a call with apple this evening to hopefully sort this out!
    Hope that helped.

  • Using two iPhones with one Apple id

    Hello!!
I am currently an iPhone 3GS user.  I just got my new iPhone 5 and as I use two numbers, thought of switching my other number to this 3GS and thus using 2 iPhones for both the numbers.  So, can someone tell me if I can use the same Apple id for both the cell or I need to create a new one to use two iPhones.  (Please note: I use iCloud only for contacts sync and dont mind having same contacts on both the devices)
    Shall appreciate a quick response!
    Thank you.

Really appreciate this quick response.  So I guess there won't be an issue to use the same id on two iPhones at the same time.
    Thanks again!

  • IMessage on two iPhone with one account

I have two iPhones  under my Apple ID (mine and my wife's).  I am unable to set up my wife's iPhone using iMessage using her email address.  It alway says "unable to verify" or "already in use"  Since her email address is unique to her, there is no way it is already in use.  Need help, thanks!

OK here is the official way this works...
    1. You can setup alternate emails and register them Apple and your icloud/me account is what is used to verify everything. Basically Apple becomes the DNS service of that email address to route imessages to the correct device.
    2. The reason you see a message about the email address already being registerd is my guess you have used that email address to register facetime on a device that is not a phone (ad phones are usually linked by phone number). Since my primary personal email is on my imac facetime and my work email is on my macbook pro I could not use these two email addresses for imessage as Apple is using them to route facetime requests to those unique PCs. So I had to use my mobileme/icloud email address with my phone and ipad.
    3. Now for my wives iphone and ipad we attached to my mobileme/icloud account but then used her personal email to be the additional address and then you can delete your mobileme/icloud if you put it in there already.
So no imessage requests to my phone/email go to both my ipad and iphone and my wive's ipad and iphone is unique to her phone and pesonal email for her imessage needs.
works well but not easy for the average not tech with many devices to figure out...
...I'm a tech who has been drinking Apple kool-aid for about 5 years...

  • Syncing two iPhones with one iTunes account, archive and install

I had a blue screen and had to archive and install.
I re-synched my iPhone and at that time put my iPhone contacts in my address book with
my group name, that I just created. I created a group for her and now want to re-synch her iPhone
with my computer and with my iTunes account, like before. I get a message that the info on that her iPhone is synched with another user account. A choice to merge info from this user account or replace info from this user account. I want to make sure that her contacts go into the address book, under
her group. I don't want to lose her her contacts on the phone, when I re-synch her iphone.

I want to make sure that her contacts go into the address book, under her group. I don't want to lose her her contacts on the phone, when I re-synch her iphone.
You should select the Merge option. If you don't, the existing contact information in the Address Book on your Mac will replace all contact info in her iPhone's address book.

  • How to use two iPhones with one iCloud account

I am really confused at how to set our iPhones up.
My wife and I each have an iPhone 5.
We have one iCloud account because we share our calendar and contacts.
I did get her her own iCloud account to add some calendar events I don't need to sync.
That is working all well and good.
The only problem is Siri.  It says my name to her when she makes a request.  So I went in to Siri and choose her name out of contacts.  Then it starts calling me by her name on my iPhone.
Obvioulsy Siri is linked via iCloud and I am not seeing a setting to change that.
If we could share calendars between two different iCloud accounts all would be well.
Can we.  Can I set my calendar up as something she can subscribe to?

    Hi Friend,
About Siri, it must know who you are. To do that, go to: Settings>>General>>Siri>> My Information. There, you can select your own information, like name, phone number, home address, office address and so on.
About Calendars, you can set what you want to share with her, and what she wants to share with you as well. To do it, you must set it in two different places:
    1o: Set with iCloud: Settings>>iCloud, there you can set if you want to sync with;
2o: Set which kind of calendars you want to sync: Calendars>>Calendars, there if you want to sync Calendars, but you won't sync your Work Calendars, unmark Work. It will private your Work Calendars just with your iPhone device.
3o: General settings of your Calendars: Settings>>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>>Calendars, there you can setthe period of events you want to sync and set your Standard Calendar.
    Hope it will be helpful

  • How to manage two iPhones with one Apple ID

My company is moving to iPhones and away from BlackBerry so I may soon end up with a second iPhone.  I believe that I can set up the app store account using my current Apple ID so I can download apps that I have already purchased to the new phone.  But do I need to set up separate iCloud accounts?  And if so how do you do that?

    use your existing apple ID.
