Chart, axis and customize grid and labels

Hi!
I created simple LineChart. Chart is dynamic. It changes when
I choose something from ComboBox.
I want to customize vertical axis (mx:verticalAxis) to show
grid and label for: 0,1,2,3,4...etc.
Now I have:
<mx:verticalAxis>
<mx:LinearAxis interval="1" minimum="0"/>
</mx:verticalAxis>
But It doesn't work. Sometimes I see grid/labels in: 0,3,6
and sometimes 0,2,4,6 !! My maximum is changing but I think it
doesn't matter. I want to show label/grid for each integer number.
How to set it?

Hi,
Yes you can do this....you need to increase Top value for xtitle in cordalayout.cxml at this location OracleBI\web\app\res\s_oracle10\chartsupport.
Totaly we had five types in this LEFT LEGEND WITH TITLES ,RIGHT LEGEND WITH TITLES ,TOP LEGEND WITH TITLES,BOTTOM LEGEND WITH TITLES,NO LEGEND WITH TITLES.
So based on the type of view you used in you chart,change x and y axis titles,title and legends top,left,width,height as per your need.
I think you used BOTTOM LEGEND WITH TITLES,as per you requirement you need to increase xtitle-top value in order to increase size between x-axis and label.

Charts: Gap between Vertical Axis and the chart area

Friends,
I have a really wierd issue and I am sure I am doing
something wrong.
I am trying to align 2 charts that are placed vertically. I
want to align the left vertical axis and the gridlines within them.
Aligning the left vertical axis is easy and done but aligning the
grids is becoming challenging and I have already spent a few hours
on this problem.
Here is a wrong chart image ...

The line of the LineChart (in the top chart) is touching the
left and right edges where as the bottom chart bars do not touch
the left/right edges. Due to this the gridlines are not aligned.
I had managed to solve this problem but I am not sure what
part of the code solved the problem. Here is the right chart image:

In this chart, the line of the linechart (in the top chart)
is not touching the left and right boundary hence the gridlines are
alignd with each other.
I wonder what property of the chart controls the series
touching the left/right vertical axis or boundary. Your help is
appreciated.

here is some more information ...
I started changing some of the properties of the chart which
I mentioned is a RIGHT CHART and this is what I learnt ...
It was a CartesianChart hence it was creating the gap
between the left/right vertical axis and the actual chart area
(refer to the right chart image).
I changed it to a LineChart and it started behaving like the
chart in the WRONG CHART image.
Is there a solution to this problem?

Chart Axis: Label Renderer pixel width

Am using custom label renderer for Chart Axis labels.

Documaker Charts - design and functionality

Hello, Documaker users!
We have faced interesting requirements from client - to insert a chart with a trend into a printout. All the data will be variable, but i have more questions about Documaker Chart functionality and design:
1. As you see i need grey horizontal gridlines, but if i tick "Axis grid marks" option, they will overlay columns and i can't find any option to bring them backward. Can you please suggest me how to move gridlines backward?
2. I need to name columns after months in Latvian language. As I understand in "Point Axis Labels" i need to select a Custom "Format", but I don't see any options where I can manually enter necessary characteristics. Can someone please advice me how to manually entitle columns?
3. Client wants to display the amount of each column, but I can't find this functionality at all. What is the best way how to do it?

We have a potential workaround\solution to item 1.
3D charts place the gridlines in the background; 2D charts place the gridlines in the foreground.
Based on your picture, your chart type is set to 2D vertical Bar.
Change the chart type to 3D Vertical Bar.
Then go to the 3-Dimension group in your Graph options.
change the X-Axis rotation and y-Axis rotation to 0.
Your chart should now resemble a 2D vertical bar with the grid lines will be in the background.

The solution is the same for X and Y labels. Select the labels and then set the rotation angle, either in the Format Bar or in the Metrics Inspector.

OBIEE 11G: Can I set limit on number of ticks only on horizontal axis and zoom in if I want to?

Is there a way I can restrict the total number of ticks on horizontal axis only? Say I want to set it to show only 24 ticks on horizontal axis. I am putting date and hour on the horizontal axis, if I take 3 dates of data, I will have 3X24 = 72 ticks on the chart, but I want the chart to show only 24 ticks. So it's pretty much ticks for 3 hours on the horizontal chart in this case.
Can this be done?
Second, if the first can be done, then can I then zoom in to any ticks on the horizontal axis, and it would show be the break down of this ticks, which is made up with 3 hour's performance separately?

I've managed to figure out how to create the labels...

Now to figure out how to create the legend. If anyone can help me, that'd be great.

Pie chart value and percentage

is it possible to show both value and percentage when holding mouse cursor over the pie chart?
I find there is no option for it.

Your requirement is to show the legends and data values at a time (when mouse rollover the pie chart)
Chart View -->Select the Graph as PIE then the Advance properties is enabled
In Advance Properties ( Start symbol ) click on that you will get chart type special and select show the labels and label values. Let me know if this is not the solution

Pai Chart layout and Tool Tip not refreshing

Hi All
We have an application where we displaying data on Pai Chart based on Data-Grid row clicked.
Its an Polling kind of application, where multiple option are there.
When a data grid row clicked, in the Pai chart we displaying polling votes in percentage.
Some question has 2 option and some 4 and out of those few are having votes.
Ex: Question 1 has 2 option ( A, B ) and both got some votes.
Question 2 has 3 options ( X,Y,Z ) and only " X " got all the votes.
So when we clicked on data grid row for Q1 the Pai chart shows all the options ( 2 ) in block dividing manner.
It has also outward tool tip to show the count and percentage.
And when we clicked on Q2 which has 3 options but got votes for only 1, the Pai chart shows perfectly with 100% and one circle without divide, but the tool tip of Q1 not cleared. It shows tool tips of Q1 as well as Q2.
And when adjust the Pai Chart Layout, then only it clears unwanted tool tips, but not automatically.
For better understanding i have attached the screen shot of the problem. please look into that once.
So any one who faced similar kind of problem or know the solution then please help me.

Customizing the titles and labels in the page OIM

I localised a Oracle documentation, to customize the titles and labels in the page of OIM 11.
Exist the files of translation, localised in "xlWebApp\WEB-INF\classes\xlWebAdmin_LOCALE.properties" in here I edited and customized but the alteration not apply in the page of OIM. Someone know if exist somehow for this alteration apply in the page?

I had done some labels change in Advanced & Self Service console of OIM using OIMUI.jar. Now, i need to change the labels in Administration console. If I search for a user and select the user here, I can see whatever his Resources,Roles, Proxies etc he is having. Now, I need to change the label of Roles with some other name. Along with it, the headers in the Roles table like Display Name,Role Name, Description,Role Namespace etc. should also be changed. But I am unable to find the exact properties file in OIMUI or am I looking at the correct jar to do these changes in Oracle Identity Manager - Delegated Administration console.

Combined charts (line and bar)

Where in Apex do we set which series is "Line" and which one is "Bar"? I saw the examples listed in the Anychart website but I'm getting the data as a result of SQL command in Apex so I don't have control of the series tags within the data section. Help please.

Charting, Webservices, and DataBinding

I've been trying to create a chart with the xml data
retrieved from a WebService call, but haven't had much luck getting
the chart to display data. All the examples I've found have charts
databinding to ArrayCollections. Is there an example of one binding
to WebService results? or can you give an example of what the Xml
would need to look like to get the chart to display correctly?
I've tried a couple different XML structures with the
incoming webservice XML, but haven't been successful. Right now it
looks like the following:

My WebService is returning the XML detailed in the first

I figured out I needed to use the dataProvider property of
the axis to set their data. Here is the code that ended up working
