Chart type option in diadem

Hi,
Do we have type of chart selection in diadem as like in excel which has different chart types like line, XY scatter, pie chart. At present I need X Y scatter type chart for my data.
For example I have data like below,
X - 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5
Y - 300, 0, 250, 0, 350, 0
I need the graph starting from 300 and coming down to zero and again starting from 250 & coming down to zero and again starting from 350 & coming down to zero. There should not any line joining from zero to 250 or from 0 to 350.
Is it possible in diadem.

Hi Igni,
DIAdem REPORT has the most flexibility in its various curve styles, of which XY Scatter is one, but a Pie Chart is completely missing. Most people mean by an XY scatter plot a graph of only markers. It sounds like you're requesting some of the points be connected by a line but other points not be connected. Is there a regular pattern to the connections? Could you send a picture of what you want to see? If I understand you correctly, then we can do this in DIAdem by adding a NoValue between any data point you don't want to connect with a line.

Getting all chart types in IChart

hai can some plz solve this problem
here im trying to plot the complete chart types of
Ichart in a single page with tag query.
for this i did it through simulator server i took One TagQuery , selected Mode as Taglist .And i took IBrwoser for list of tags with multi selection nd in that i enabled AlwaysExpandedMode and the Multiple Selection mode.Here im taking Chart types with select option in html and passing that variables into irpt file.in html page im taking list box of tag name for selecting tags and drop down of chart type for selecting chart type and one submit button for submiting the form.
for tagvalues im taking a array for counting the tag values nd passing it into irpt
that nd all fine
iam getting chart also but iam getting chart for only five values. so whats the problem im facing here is after refreshing if i select two tag values its getting replace with the first two values of previous chart .
so where im getting the problem could u plz let me know how to solve this problem

From what i understood, the problem seems to be that the array is getting overwritten. Is it true??? Can u be more clear on this??

Xcelsius 2008 Enterprise Chart Visualization Options - Sparkline Anyone?

While Crystal Xcelsius certain has an awesomeness factor, there seems to be a limitation when it comes to the variety of data visualization charting options available to use. If this product is supposed to be the "de-facto" dashboarding tool offered by BusinessObjects post the SAP acquisition, one would think they would make an effort to enhance the product to include the same level of dashboarding options as were previously available through older products recently phased out. For example, the variety of chart types to use is quite limited in Xcelsius 2008, whereas, Dashboard Manager, previously offered as part of the Business Objects Enterprise solution stack (XI R2 & R3), was much richer in terms of available charting types offered when constructing a dashboard, covering a host of business relevant subject and measurement areas within the concept of a catalogue of related objects. Crystal Xcelsius 2008 is the replacement offering, and holds its own for other reasons, like the interactive visualization of data, which no one can compete with in this space. However, with its limited charting options, it seems from reading the dev library and BOB-board that SAP/BusinessObjects is advising folks to create their own add-ons, i.e. their own charts which can be deployed and used as templates, thus, solving the problem. For those of us who are non-germane code writers in their day to day work, this option is not viable as it requires a modicum of software development practice to write Xcelsius add-on packages, much like the experience of using QWAAS which is comparable to ASP.NET coding vs. making the data connectivity to the dashboards from data feed types like a Universe or a relational database.
Having vetted my frustration, here is my ask...I would like to create a sparkline chart in Xcelsius -- I have a copy if you want to see what I am trying to describe, the image, just an example which I found on the web. The presentation of this chart type has a very "Xcesius-y" look and Feel to me so I thought I would ask the group a) interest in a topic thread on this forum related to sharing Xcesius add-on or related Source code files in an effort to maintain a sense of helpful product exploitation ala the Apple Apps open source platform concept. I need help with the Sparkline sooner rather than later so any help is greatly appreciated.

Chart Type Special

Hi,
I am working on building a chart in answers and trying to display null values in a graph. I am following this example below:

Thanks, it seems to appear only with this chart type.
I find the article doesnt quite work in my situation.
I am trying to display all months in the chart but only get to view months that contain data values, e.g.
Apr-10 - 24
Jul-10 - 13
Dec-10 - 76
Feb-11 - 13
I would like the remaining months to be viewed on the chart but the example does not work in my context.
Can anyone suggest another work around?

I need to have more chart types but I don't know if I can add them to Web analysis tool.

1. In 'document design' mode, if you alreayd have a report , drag the chart icon into the work area -> now, you got to select the data source file and below , you have the following options
default
horizontal bar
line
spline
..etc
2. Select what you want appropriately.
3. If you want to change the chart type after you had selected, goto 'View mode' and now right click on the chart, you'll get prperties, where you can change the chart type too.

How to - WAD chart type

Hi,
I would like to know how I can create this kind of application using WAD drop down list
I would like to create a drop down list displaying the different chart types so that when I select the chart that I want it updates .
I can achieve this with command function "call chart properties dialog" but thats not what I want as the different charts doesn't display in the list.

Tachometer not found in chart type, based on exceptions

Hello all,
i cannot find tachometer in any of my chart types, only speedometer. I tried speedometer but it does not read my exceptions even after checking exception ON in the web item.
I want to display 3 simple value ranges in green, yellow and red based on exceptions. I have only one column and one one value. tachometer is the best ..

Hi Iryna,
there is an entry "Show expanded Hierarchy nodes" in the options for graphics. You can find it in the SAP standard template or in the Web Application designer. If the entry is not set, only the lowest expanded nodes of a hierarchy are displayed.

How to change chart type to pie

BW gurus..
How can I change the chart type to PIE. I tried righ click on the webItem chart after I dragged it into the template. I do not see the option of changing chart type.
Can any one tell me how do I achieve this..

Different chart types in one chart

Hi guys,
I need to know if there is any wat to mix two different chart types in WAD.
For instance, I have to key figures and I want to draw in the same chart Lines for one KF while I want Bars for the other KF.
Is this possible ?

My daughter had completed a chart in pages. I saved it and then clicked on other chart types. Now I can't go back to the original chart she made even though I have not re-saved the file. How can I go back to her original chart with data?

This is not possible directly with SAP BI.
You can try to implement a 3rd party add on similar to the one provided by IBS Solution. Please see attached link for some of the custom chart types implemented.

As i m new in abap . i wrote this code and received charter type error.

'AA' can not converted to a character-type field.

This is Unicode problem, In unicode systme some restriction in programing.
There is three kid of data type
Character Processing ( C, N, D, T and STRING ).
Byte Processing Mode ( X and XString ).
Numeric Data Type ( I, P , F ).
whenever in structure all kind of data types are used then you can not use WRITE and then whole structure name.
in LFA1 in ECC6.0 if any custom fields are not added then up to length 1232 is determined as Character.
so if you will give aa(1232) it will work similarlly other kid of remainig data tpe you move in another structure of required format and then check.
REPORT ZT11.

Bubble chart with scatter chart type and different bubble sizes

Hello everybody,
I would like to create a bubble chart (scatter chart) within Oracle 11g and Apex 4.2 with the standard chart types that come with Apex (anychart).
I want to integrate two different KPIs (key performance indicators) in the chart, one for each axis (x and y) and additionally the size of the bubbles shall represent the size of the company, the KPIs belong to.
That is to say, every bubble represents a company with two KPIs and its size.
Now, I have problems changing the size of the bubbles. Can someone give me a hint where to start or how I could achieve this with a standard sql query (series) !?
Is that possible with the standard charts (scatter type)?
Can I control the color of the bubbles?
How can I control the starting and ending points of the axes in order to show all bubbles completely even if they are e.g. 0,0 (x,y) (this would show only a quarter of the bubble) or 0,3 (which would show only half of the bubble).
I will be very thankful for some hints.

Hi to all,
Has anyone tried to intermix chart types? Specifically, i'm trying to display a "column" type chart, but I would like to have a straight horizontal line through the chart indicating a key value or values. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to create your own report with required currency,
T CODE - KE35 - Click on "Report" (create), next window appears
Give the name of the report and description
The u see 2 options
1. Basic report
2. Report with Form
Select which ever you want and press ENTER
Here you need to prepare the report format and fields which are there in the right side box
