Chase Ink Cash

Ok so, bear with me! I don't plan on making any major credit decisions any time soon until I get my balances down and let some accounts age. But I've been eyeing this card and would like some advice.
1) What are the qualifications? I know Chase is strict with their business cards. I have the CapOne Spark to build business credit but I wonder if there's a minimum income or amount of time your business must be intact.
2) Does the "cash" translate to UR like the Freedom?
I would love to have another card that earns UR that I could use with my CSP, the Freedom doesn't do much for me, but this one offers 5% on office supplies, phone and cable. This would be awesome for me and I could move all my bill pay spend to this card as well as get supplies for my students. The 2% for gas and restaurants isn't too impressive because I use my Hilton for that. But the 5% categories would be plenty. If I use my CSP for travel spend, Hilton for gas, grocery and restaurant spend, Ink for bills, and Venture for uncategorized spend, that leaves pretty much every other card in my sig obsolete, except for the BofA Cash since I use it for BankAmerideals. I haven't used my Delta Amex since I met the spend bonus, so I think PCing it to SPG may be more useful, and if i move my bills to the Ink, that leaves nothing for the AAdvantage (which I also rarely use). The Forward stays around for iTunes purchases, concert and football tickets. Am I off with anything here? Is this a decent plan? What could I do with my AAdvantage? I like the miles but I really rarely fly

icyhot - exactly what I do. Earn points with the Chase Sapphire Preferred VS and the Chase Ink Business Cash VS. Works well and I like the partnership. Previously, I had a Chase Freedom VS but it did not really work for my spending pattern and I don't like chasing categories. So I said goodbye to it.

With Chase range of Ink cards, the Ink Cash is the lower tier and for you to do an upgrade to the Ink Plus they will do a hardpull for the upgrade. On the other hand, if you already have the Ink Plus and want to downgrade to the Ink Cash you can without a hardpull. So evaluate how you want to use the hardpull and go from there.

I'm thinking about it, the 2% rewards is pretty nice, but I especially liked the $500 cashback for charging $4500 in the first 3 months - how in the world are you supposed to charge $4500 in 3 mos with a $500 CL?

  • 2 of 3 approved....how is barclays for recons?

So in the past month, I have decided to go after some business cards for my side gig; 1.  Chase Ink Plus ... approved2.  Amex Business Gold ...approved3.  Barclays Business Hawaiian Air ....denied I have not got the letter yet on the denial from barclays...anyone get a successful recon from them?  I have 3 personal cards from barclays with combined CL of $52K...the last one approved on Jan of this year.. 1 inq on TU with Fico of 798.

Congrats on your approvals.. You can recon with Barclays however, they are sensitive to a lot of inquiries so if you have alot you may have to wait a bit and re-apply.  But it does not hurt to call.

  • Chase Southwest and Citi Double Cash!

Two new cards in my wallet! Last Friday received an offer in the mail for Citi double cash. I responded to the offer and instantly approved with a credit limit of 1,500$.Yesterday i got an email offer for Chase Southwest. Since I'm almost always flying with Southwest and it was offering 50,000points as  a bonus after spending 2,000 in the first 3 months, I decided to apply! After applying a message appeared saying to call as soon as possible at 877-260-0087 etc. I called today morning and after verifying some info got approved for 2,500$!!! In terms of pulls, Chase pulled only EX and Citi both EX and EQ.  I now have 9 credit cards (5 new cards since June 2015: amex ED, amex bce, freedom, citi and southwest)and a total of 27,000$ in credit with a credit history of only 9 months! Annual salary around 55,000$.    EX fico: 660, 12 inquiries. TU fico 678. EQ i do not know but suppose it is higher than the rest cause i only have 5 inquiries there. Credit utilization: 26%Cards: bofa cash rewards sign visa 8,000$, chase freedom 3,500$, discover it 2,500$, cap 1 platinum 2,000$, cap 1 journey 1,500$, amex ED 4,500$, amex bce 1,000$, citi dc 1,500$ and chase southwest 2,500$.

Congratulations! Chase pulled both EX and EQ for both my Marriott and Hyatt cards earlier this year.Citi pulled both EX and EQ for the AAdvantage card I was just approved for.Oh well, they age off soon enough.

  • Media Cashe Files & Media Chase Database?

    I'm running:
    CS4 Production Premium
    Vista x64
    8Gig RAM
    Dell T4300 Workstation
    DuoCore 2.6Mhz
    1T System 7200rpm SATA HD
    4 - 7200rpm SATA HDs dedicated to Video Projects (2- 1.5T & 2- 500Gig)
I started a new project Monday, captured 6 hours of video (3 cameras, 2 hours each of a Musical Performance).   As I was working yesterday, I noticed when I rendered, the 'render progress bar' would move (showing the progress), then pause for several seconds, move some more, then pause again, as if the renders were being written from RAM onto the HD.   "Normally", I see the render bar progress consistently, sometime slower than other times if the clips being rendered have filters, effects, etc., but I've never seen the progress bar simply pause before.
Because I had (a couple weeks ago) changed my Media Cashe Files to "store next to originals when possible", I was thinking this may be the cause.  I've changed that back to the default (unchecked the box) but the condition still exist.   The "Media Cashe Database" is set to: "user\....\Adobe\Common".   As far as I remember, I've never messed with that before.   I also noticed the location for the "Scratch Disk" is listed in "user\....\Adobe\After Effects CS4".     Why would a PremierePro project have the "Scratch Disk" set under the AfterEffects folder?  (I changed this to "Same As Project".
What is the "best" option for the two Project Preference settings for:
    1) Media Cashe Files
    2) Media Cashe Database
    TIA,
    jd

No, you'd have to delete them. That's one benefit of storing the media cache files next to the originals, in that you can simply purge the entire directory of files when you're done with it. Splitting them up creates a bit of a file management issue, since Premiere really doesn't have a good way to selectively eliminate generated preview files. The Project Manager works to an extent, but it will still leave the originals behind. So as long as you set things up at the beginning of a project correctly, it'll make finishing and archiving the project a little easier. The good news is that if you delete a cached file that another project needs, it will be recreated automatically. Rendered previews would have to be manually recreated, however.

  • Best Chase Card for CL Reallocation

Which Chase card would be best to apply for with the intentions of reallocating the line to my Freedom and closing the account.  Would a co-branded card be best?

Which Chase card would be best to apply for with the intentions of reallocating the line to my Freedom and closing the account.  Would a co-branded card be best? Why would you get a card you don't want just for this? Any co-branded card is best because it won't necessarily be part of the "5 accounts in 2 years" thing, but seriously, opening a new account to move the limit and then close it is not going to make you look good. I understand that's the way to get a "CLI" with them, but doing it right after opening a new account is going to raise flags. If you are willing to open the new account and at least wait 6 months or so, it may not look as bad, but then again, in that amount of time, with showing a good history on your Freedom you may be able to just get a HP CLI on it anyway (without the AAOA ding of a new account that you don't even really want). Everyone's different obviously but really 4500 should be enough for a Freedom. The rewards are capped anyway, and spending for the 1% is worthless when you have better cards as you do (like Double Cash). No reason to spend more than the 5% caps on Freedom, and that's if you are maxing them out which is unlikely every time.

  • Amex, Chase or Capital One

I have been looking around at some cards recently as one thing Credit Karma and other related sites tell me is hurting is AAoA which is 1 year 10months, and total accounts which is at 9(most being Fed student loans). I am still in college.  I currently have 1 credit card: Discover It Student at $3000.00 credit line. I have had it since July 2013 and the CL was increased last in Febuary. I also have 1 auto loan since November 2012 with about $4500 left on it. I have recieved quite a few pre-qualified mailings from AMEX and Capital One, while also seeing pre-qualified on Chase's website. Amex mailed me a prequalified Blue Cash Everyday $250 after $1,000 spend in 3 months; Their website lists as prequalified Gold Card(15k pts after $1000 spend in 3 months); and Everday(15k pts after $1k spend in 3 mo) Chase prequalified online shows: Freedom ($200 bonus, and 0 intro apr & AF); Slate; and Sapphire Preferred(40k Pts after spend $4k in 3 months).  Capital One prequalified online shows: Quicksilver Rewards($100 on $500 spend in first 3 mo); Venture(40k Pts after $3k spend in first 3 months); and Platinum Prestige.   Most of my spending is at Walmart/Sams Club, Gas Stations, Restaurants/Fast Food and occasionally on Amazon and at Target or other grocery stores. I am getting married in August 2016 and honeymoon looks like it will be going to Niagra Falls area(Buffalo,Toronto) and going into Canada by then I will be looking for a no FTF card that is widely accepted in Toronto (Discover has 0 FTF but i hear it is not accepted much in Toronto). Being as that is over a year away I know I don't have to have that as a major factor in my decision yet. I don't have any flights currently planned, but have taken two trips over the last year on Southwest Airlines(airline of choice due to free bags, and value). ScoresTransunion Vanatage: 781Discover FICO:  746(Online) ; 726 (5/27 Statement)Credit Karma: T- 718 EQ - 748Credit Sesame: 718.   I was thinking:This month: Apply for a Amex, Possibly BCE for the $250 offer. I'm not sure how well the gold 15k pt offer is with my limited travel in the next 12 months, is that able to be PC to a non-AF card? Between September-January: Either1. Chase cards: CSP and/or Freedom. I was reconmended on another thread to try Back to back to get only 1 pull, and then before the year is up to combine the CL into the Freedom. From my understanding I will rant to redeem my points before doing that correct? Also opening after August will allow me to possibly save the points for the honeymoon in August 2016. Freedom 5x categories may match my Discover iT.   2. Cap 1: Venture and/or Quicksilver. Do they pull twice if you apply back to back within minutes? I read that you can PC Venture to VentureOne to avoid the AF, I don't believe they allow a PC to QS later on do they? I need to do some more research on the point differences between Venture and VentureOne, but I would have Venture for atleast 11 months before AF time. I also saw a thread where it sounds like Cap1 may be allowing cards to be combined in the near future. Between April 2016-July 2016: Option that wasn't choosen above.  Any suggestions on timelines, and what cards I should do?Should I look at Sallie Mae Mastercard? And with how low my AAOA is now, how much will opening 2 cards at once (Chase or Cap1 Back to Back hurt?) and then later combining what I can, or should I convert AF cards Venture to VentureOne and CSP to CS?

Amex Blue or BCE? I haven't seen anything in particular on Slate, how does it compare to Freedom and CSP? I know CSP is the best out of the 3 and UR sounds nice. I also wonder how hard they check income, I know they want to see it, but I just started a new job, and other than hockey reffing the last few months didn't have a normal job, and reffing the funds are paid from each association and don't have a standard pay stub, just checks. I worked on campus this year but up till August 2015 worked at a a Bank and saved quite a bit up.  I also forgot to state that I live near the canadian border so the Venture/CSP will be nice(NO FTF) whenever I decide to make my first trip across the border. If not this year I will most likely around the honeymoon time, unless I change honeymoon plans due to bonus rewards!  My Discover IT has no FTF but I hear acceptance in Canada is limited.BCE is the one I was going for, although I just a pre approval in the mail today freedom is awesome for now, 200 after spending 500 in 3mo. 1% cash back on everything and they have quarterly deals like right now 5% on gas and kohls lolslate has no annual  fee and 0 apr until October 2016CSP is the higher tier card and has 40k bonus points after spending 4k in first 3mo. Has 0 intro annual fee and $95 annual fee after you should be good cause they didn't ask for any proof of income I make 45k/yr You're correct Venture does not have FTF plus you get 40k pts after spending 3k in the first 3 mo

  • Cash back Card what are your thoughts.

I wanted to get some feedback of what my next reward card should be.  I was interested in either a chase freedom or a Discover.   I also did some research on the amex blue preferred.  I dont like the option of salle mae. I just wanted 1 last good reward card and this will probably be a while before  get.  I wanted to know which is hard to get.  I am thinking the discover card is the hardest.

Between Freedom and Discover, go for Discover. They are much better with CLIs and APR reductions etc vs Chase. The reward categories during the year are less specific than Freedom's (Freedom often does just Lowe's or just Amazon; Discover is less restrictive). You get a free FICO with Discover. They also have a great Discover Deals mall with high percentages off on many websites. Pretty much comparing the two on their own I feel Discover blows Freedom out of the water. Freedom you are pretty unlikely to see much CLI growth with and you will never see an APR reduction.thats good to know thank because generally my overall spending is food, gas and some retail not a lot. once and a while i do a auto repair purchase. I originally wanted a chase freedom but now that i am looking at my spending habits and what i use my card for it might not be a good fit for me and my lifestyle. The only i might consider is the amex blue preferred. The Blue Cash Preferred is a great option if you spend enough to justify the fee. 6% on groceries is pretty difficult to beat.  yeIts funny how any card was my goal when  i started and i always wanted a chase freedom but i cant keep up with the categories.  now im like i only use my card for gas and groceries and back to school auto repairs, and utility bills ! LOL. Thank you for the insight

  • Ink sent for replacement 2 months ago - Never received replacement

HP replaced my printer with a different model within warranty and instructed me to send my new cartridges in for replacement, as well as the cartridges that were in the printer.  I did that at the beginning of April, 2010 and here is the email I was sent when it was received:
    Hello Sheila,
We received your HP inkjet cartridges.  We are happy to offer an equal value exchange for the cartridges we received.  You will be contacted via email as soon as possible with order confirmation numbers.  We are currently experiencing a high volume of cases.  Your patience is appreciated.
    Sincerely,

That was over two months ago and I have not received a replacement or any further communication from HP about the ink.  In that time, HP has been unable to install and get this printer working correctly with my system and I've given up on it after hours on the phone with tech support.  I will be replacing this printer, but I still need either my cartridges back or a replacement of them.  I would prefer cash, since I will not be getting an HP printer, due to the headaches I've encountered with the last two HP printers.  It's really a shame, as I have been a loyal HP customer up to this point.
    What's going on, HP?

    Hi,
Sorry about this. I'd like to help. I've sent you a private-mail here in the forum. Hope you can read that and get me some more information.

  • I got my pre qualification letter yesterday from Chase Mortgage!

I have been debating back and forth for weeks on if I'm actually going to apply for the mortgage.  Moreso, fear of rejection after working so hard over the past 1 1/2 year getting everything I could cleaned up and removed mostly by myself (using this board for suggestions).   So, I reached out to several mortgage brokers and banks and decided that Chase would offer me the better rate and discounts (because I'm a checking customer I can get discounts on having auto payments and cash back annually). I called the LO several times over the past two months, clarifying their requirements and making sure I understood what they would be looking for.  I bit the bullet and applied a couple of days ago and the LO called me yesterday to verify some info AND issued me the prequal letter.  I was sooooo excited I almost cried.  I understand that this isn't over and I still have a long way to go, but even getting this far is such an accomplishment for me. I am going to gather all the necessary documents and schedule an appointment to get the PreApproval done, and get an appointment with a realtor to start officially looking for my 1st home.  I get all warm and fuzzy saying that! Thanks for reading and all of the encouragement (mostly indirect by you guys posting on everyones posts)

We'll see if he wants a Ritz card once he see's it.   I've tried explaining to him that his score would go up if we got him another CC with a nice high limit. The only card he's shown interest in is an REI card. :roll eyes: I'm going to try to talk him into something that has the potential for a higher limit. But also, going to try to talk him into a Cash+ (local branch manager sort of loves us) to get the whole sports 5% thing, not just REI.

  • Chase/ Amazon question

This will probably sound stupid.  I know Chase is picky about new accounts when applying for Freedom, SP etc.  Are they as picky with the Amazon card?  Are they REALLY as picky as I have read about the 5 new accounts or you are declined?   I have 4 new accounts since November.  If I want to get in with Chase, I need to do it now or wait 2 years unless there is more flexibility.  I am also looking at Discover and Am Ex.  I really hate trying to pick!  I am only planning on getting 2 cards then garden for another 6 months so build my AAoA back up.  My 2nd card is NFCU.

I just wanted to follow up on what decisions I ended up making and the results. I chose to go to Chase direct first.  I was approved for the Freedom card with a $10k limit and 13.99% interest, no interest for the first 15 mo.  I got my card in a week. This shockingly was my biggest starting limit and interest rate.  I used it to buy the 65 inch samsung 4k ultra that Sams had on special over the weekend  Discover was next.  The 5% rewards for home improvement caught my eye. but when I saw double cash back, I was in. We just bought a house July 24 so I knew I would use that A LOT.  I was approved for $3,500.  I got my card in 4 days.  My first statement just cut which I didn't expect.  I used this card extensively over the past week and planned to pay that off this week.  I went in tonight to add my bank info and saw the statement with a $1,400 balance *sigh*   I went with the Amazon store card.  Synchrony backs several stores (including furniture).  I wanted my foot in the door to establish payment history in the event I ever have to apply and/or recon.  I have been a prime member for 3 years so that 5% was just an added bonus.  $2,700 starting limit.  I just got the "card" on Saturday.  I haven't reconned it but plan to tomorrow.  My biggest shock here was that they reported the new account to fico 3 days after applying! I also will be calling NFCU tomorrow before I close out my spree.  We are more interested in the line of credit than credit card but I most likely will apply for both. I decided not to apply for AmEx right now.  I will apply after I garden for a year, build up some history and credit limits and also give my mortgage loan time to report.  I hope for better limits after all that is accomplished.  If app withdrawals are too bad, I can always apply for the DH lol Although I have been strongly against using credit for many years, my lack of true knowledge was my worst enemy.  Understanding the rewards benefits, how to pif, when to pay and not to pay etc has totally changed my thoughts on using credit.   This site is invaluable to me.   I went from sub 600 scores to buying a house and getting prime cards! in 8 months!  I spent more hours than I care to think about reading on this site but it was all worth it!!!  My goal is to break 800 by Jan 1, 2017 but it make take til 2020 to do it lol

  • Best Cash Back Cards?

Hello guys! I've been lurking the forums for quite a while, gathering useful information and I finally decided to make an account to ask you guys for your opinions.  I recently turned 18 the beginning of last month and I got to applying for credit cards quickly. My FICO credit score was 729 (was an authorized user under mom's CC for 11 years) after being approved for 1) Cap1 Journey ($3k, will PC to QS) 2) Discover It ($500, sooo low) 3) Amex TrueEarnings ($5.5k) Now, I am deciding which cards I should app for. I LOVE cash back. Most of my expenses are from restaurants and Amazon.Which cards should I app for next? I have these in mind:1) Citi DoubleCash2) US Bank Cash+3) Chase AARP4) Chase Freedom In the future: Marukai JCB, Sallie Mae MC I know I need to garden. But I am wondering for how long until I apply for the Citi DB? I'm covered with Discover because of their double cash back bonus for my first year, so when do you guys think I should app my next cards? Thanks guys!

    Monoglot wrote:

Limits are set based on what your credit and income qualify for.  The low limit indicates that Discover has concerns with your credit which shouldn't be surprising. Monoglot wrote:

  • When Chase Recon approves you but you're still not approved.....

So, I have had my personal and business checking accounts with Chase for months now, trying to get in with them for a CC. Last app was 6 months ago for a personal card, which was declined. My recon consisted of me describing how well my business is doing and how much money is being brought in, in general, and how I'd love the card for various reasons. At that time, the analyst said, "but you're not applying for a business card" and it was ultimately declined. So this time, this time I thought I'd do things differently and get a business card first so that I might have an "in" with them and garden for a while before trying for a personal card (this is what I did with Amex and it worked out just fine). I thought surely it wouldn't be declined as I have an outstanding banking relationship with Chase, a good CC profile overall with perfect payments, though I do have some credit dings (now finally over 2 years old, which is the amount of time they said to wait before trying again) that are still there and have been the reason for denial in the past. Anyway.... the applicaiton for the card was declined so I called recon. The analyst asked me probably 20 questions about the business, and I was put on hold several times. Ultimately she said that although she recognizes some bad things on my CR, she sees they are aging (over 2 years old) and she was happy to approve for $5k for an Ink card.  Then there was silence. She was confused. She asked for another couple minutes because the system wasn't letting her override the decision. Eventually she said she would have to call me back, as she's not experienced this problem before. She called me back an hour later. Her manager, a senior analyst, had to get involved and decided to decline. Does anyone have experience with this? An analyst that actually approves you (or tries to) and then he or she can't? What to do? Let it go? Call again? Call EO?

Does anyone have any luck ever with Chase EO? Otherwise I like the suggestion to contact business banker...@Skinmatters, I'd still go in and talk to a business banker about the application...  If that fails then that is when you can reach out to their EO.  But business banker first- I will keep fingers crossed for you and let us know the outcome!!
