Check for BW packages
Hi all,
can any1 help me in how to check for BW packages in se80..
as i'm a fresher to BW environment i dont know how to check for BW packages in se80.
Hi,
in SE80 you see for the BW package only DD und ABAP objects. The BW objects (like infocube) you don't see there. You can use for example SE03 - change object directory entry.

Is there a way for pacman to tell you what packages could be updated but without changing your database? The reason I ask is that doing pacman -Sy is unsupported, as it could lead to old versions of a package being incompatible with news one of another. Basically, I am wondering if pacman has a way to tell you "what would happen" if I did pacman -Sy.

[SOLVED] yaourt upgrade check skips(?) packages
When running "yaourt -Syu --aur", after updating package databases for normal repositories, yaourt checks for AUR package upgrades and shows a counter, for example:
[ypoluektovich@arch ~]$ yaourt -Syu --aur
Password:
:: Synchronizing package databases...
core is up to date
extra is up to date
community is up to date
multilib is up to date
Foreign packages: 34 / 34
But lately, for me, the counter has been stopping just short of completion:
Foreign packages: / 49 / 50
What's going on and how do I fix it?

I'm having some issues updating the device packages for my RME 4.3.1 install.
I've downloaded and tried to update the 'Cat3560.zip' package via the GUI, but the job fails with the above error.

How to check for updates on SCM packages?
Hey guys,
I wondered for some time now how to check for updates on SCM packages, i.e. -git
or -svn ones. Updates for binary packages are automatically updated by pacman,
no problem there. Checking for updates on non-SCM packages from the AUR is
easily done with one of the various helper tools available (personally, I use
slurpy).
However, SCM packages can change without their PKGBUILD changing, so I'm not
notified that I should recompile and update them.
Is there a "proper" way of doing this? Am I missing something?

An x86 FDISK partition for the Solaris software begins with a one-cylinder boot slice, which contains the partition boot program (pboot) in the first sector, the standard Solaris disk label and volume table of contents (VTOC) in the second and third sectors, and the bootblk program in the fourth and subsequent sectors. When the FDISK partition for the Solaris software is the active partition, the master boot program (mboot) reads the partition boot program in the first sector into memory and jumps to it. It in turn reads the bootblk program into memory and jumps to it. Regardless of the type of the active partition, if the drive contains multiple FDISK partitions, the user is given the opportunity to reboot another partition. -
LMS3.1 psu problem - Consistency check failed for base package ...AG
Hello,
We've got a package updater problem with a LMS3.1 installation.
1. After trying to update RME Device packages from GUI we got a message that LibCommon-v2.3.2 is needed
2. We tried to update LibCommon from CLI using psucli.bat, see below
3. We found a discussion in this forum, simular to this problem with the hint to reinstall the RME, what we did but with no improvement
4. We deinstalled, reboot, did a new installation of LMS3.1. But the problem still exists, with same message. We need the PSU, because most of our devices will be managed after device package update only.
Updating of each package brings warnings with pseudo package names, as ImageAG, MemoryAG and not with hints to real missing packages:
C:\lms\bin>psucli -p rme -install -src C:\install\lm31-updates\ LibCommon
WARNING: LibCommon(2.3.2):Consistency check failed for base package ImageAG

thx for hints, SteffenWhen you install LMS on Windows, there are some recommended steps to take to ensure the installation is a problem free as possible:
Set the per-user and global TEMP and TMP environment variables to short values (e.g. C:\WINDOWS\TEMP)
Disable all anti-virus software
Disable Windows Data Execution Protection (DEP)
Login to the server as a local Adminitrator
Install from original, locally attached media
NEVER abort the installation after the installer says not to
Based on the symptoms described here, I'm guessing at least the first item was not done. TAC has a procedure to recover a bad RME package repository, but if the base installation is problematic, doing so would be moot. If you suspect the installation isn't 100% (beyond the package repository), uninstall, then follow the above steps to reinstall.
If you think the problem is just with the RME package repository, contact TAC, and they can provide you a good, up-to-date repository to jump start things for you. -
LMS3.1 psu problem - Consistency check failed for base package
Hi all,
I tried to install the following packges for CiscoView 6.1.9:
Rtr2900.cv50.v2-0.zip
Rtr3900.cv50.v2-0.zip
but it gives me the following error:
Consistency check failed for base package NGMARShare
There are no Packages to be installed.
I uninstalled all packages and installed them again after I copied these two packages in the packages sources folder but it failed again.
Any one can help?

this can be seen from the error message you got

my advice is to read the "Release Information" for the packages you try to install
you can find the Release Information in the same page of the download.

Dependency check for package being ported
Looking to port a program from Debian and want to make sure I get all my dependencies right. But there is no real scale or database to work with. Below are the dependencies for my package... Any help making sure I cover all these would be greatly appreciated.

libgtk2.0-cil-dev,
libwebkit1.1-cil,
libmono-system-web4.0-cil,
libmono-system-data-linq4.0-cil,
libmono-wcf3.0-cilI suspect most of those are in [extra]/mono. Arch does not split packages endlessly as debian does. You can verify each one, here is an example:
1) find the package at debian.org and look at the file list:
http://packages.debian.org/wheezy/all/l … l/filelist
2) use pkgfile on any of those files:
$ pkgfile /usr/lib/mono/4.0/System.Data.Linq.dll
extra/mono
3) Have a beer, and remember to buy one for the arch devs too, cause you're done.

How can i check for posted but not yet commited changes in a form
Dears
I make changes programmatically in a form then i post it using (Post built in).
If the user exits the form, i make check for any changes in the form to commit it using the system variable :system.form_status
Unfortunately the value of this system variable is 'Query' not 'Changed' because of using the post built in.
Is ther another system variable ( or any another way ) that check for posted but not yet commited changes in the form ?

This is just a workaround.
Capture what the user has performed into a variable say, PKG_VAR.ACTION,
This will be assigned values like List L, and Create C, Update U and Saved S.
If commit is executed,assing the status S to the variable.
So while closing,
IF :system.form_status = 'CHANGED' or PKG_VAR.ACTION in ('C','U') THEN
-- validate the data, n perform commit.
else
-- just close the form.
end if;

}Edited by: nb123 on Feb 3, 2008 11:23 PMFrom your post I see you are using a 3rd party package to access the Excel SpreadSheets, you will have to look in your API for you 3rd party package and see if there is a method that will identify a blank row, if there is and it does not work, then you have to take that problem up with them. I know this is a pain, but it is the price we pay for 3rd party object use.
In the mean time, you can make a workaround by checking every column in your row and seeing if it is null, or perhaps even better: check and see if the trimmed value of each cell has a lenth of 0. -

Check for duplicate record in SQL database before doing INSERT
Hey guys,
This is part powershell app doing a SQL insert. BUt my question really relates to the SQL insert. I need to do a check of the database PRIOR to doing the insert to check for duplicate records and if it exists then that record needs
to be overwritten. I'm not sure how to accomplish this task. My back end is a SQL 2000 Server. I'm piping the data into my insert statement from a powershell FileSystemWatcher app. In my scenario here if the file dumped into a directory starts with I it gets
written to a SQL database otherwise it gets written to an Access Table. I know silly, but thats the environment im in. haha.
Any help is appreciated.

Since SQL Server 2000 has been out of support, I recommend you to upgrade the SQL Server 2000 to a higher version, such as SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2008.
According to your description, you can try the following methods to check duplicate record in SQL Server.

Touch Events: How can I check for a button being pressed while another button is being held down?
Hello,
I'm trying to check for a button being pressed while another is down through Touch. In my case, I' m making a game and I need for a button to make the character jump. However, when I hold down right, I notice that the jump button becomes somewhat unresponsive and I have to press it twice or more to get it to trigger, as opposed to just pressing the jump button by itself with nothing held down which works fine. I'm testing this on my Motorola Droid 2.

I'm trying to check for a button being pressed while another is down through Touch. In my case, I' m making a game and I need for a button to make the character jump. However, when I hold down right, I notice that the jump button becomes somewhat unresponsive and I have to press it twice or more to get it to trigger, as opposed to just pressing the jump button by itself with nothing held down which works fine. [Solved]pacman doesn't like ' =' in depends for pure package

I have installed for now by simply removing the
<=3.4
requirement but only out of frustration. I'm at a loss as to why pacman would be complaining, I see the bit about 'LLVM 3.4 is broken' but for one, 3.4 is already installed from [extra] and for two, 3.3 ought to meet the criteria. All help/explanation appreciated.

Nope, doesn't work that way. Try it yourself.
