Dependency check for package being ported

Looking to port a program from Debian and want to make sure I get all my dependencies right. But there is no real scale or database to work with. Below are the dependencies for my package... Any help making sure I cover all these would be greatly appreciated.
mono-runtime,
libmono-system-xaml4.0-cil,
libgtk2.0-cil-dev,
libwebkit1.1-cil,
libmono-system-web4.0-cil,
libmono-system-data-linq4.0-cil,
libmono-wcf3.0-cil

I suspect most of those are in [extra]/mono. Arch does not split packages endlessly as debian does. You can verify each one, here is an example:
1) find the package at debian.org and look at the file list:
http://packages.debian.org/wheezy/all/l … l/filelist
2) use pkgfile on any of those files:
$ pkgfile /usr/lib/mono/4.0/System.Data.Linq.dll
extra/mono
3) Have a beer, and remember to buy one for the arch devs too, cause you're done.

Health check for load balancing ALSB/OSB instances

What is the standard practice for a load balancer sitting in front of ALSB/OSB instances as far as a health check? I'm working with our IS department to implement a valid health check. Currently the load balancer (older model cisco device) is just checking for an active port which is generating excessive logging on the ALSB side. As a workaround I'm just going to have the loadbalancer check for a http 200 response and a greater than zero body size.

it depends on the type of load balancer what it can do. I suggest create a 'empty' proxy service that does not have logging or auditing. Publish the prox and use this webservice in your load balancer to check if the service is available.

Post Installation check for 12.1.1

i am installing 12.1.1 (32 bit) on oel 5 (32 bit), one of the package gnome-libs-1.4.1.2.90-34.1.i386 for OEL 5 (32 bit) creating an issue at post installation for HTTP server not opening

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
                        package-cleanup --dupes
                        rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.

How to Check for budget in WBS Element ?

Is there any mechanism to check if budget has been exceeded, in the respective WBS Element, while at or before approval of manhours in CAPP. It so happens manya time that, times are getting approved, and CAT5 Errors are taking place due to shortage of budget. How can we pro-actively check for budget being exceeded, and then avoid budget errors during CAT5 runs? Any suggestions?

Touch Events: How can I check for a button being pressed while another button is being held down?

Hello,
I'm trying to check for a button being pressed while another is down through Touch. In my case, I' m making a game and I need for a button to make the character jump. However, when I hold down right, I notice that the jump button becomes somewhat unresponsive and I have to press it twice or more to get it to trigger, as opposed to just pressing the jump button by itself with nothing held down which works fine. I'm testing this on my Motorola Droid 2.

Report for Check deposit list being presented in Bank

Dear SAP Experts,
we are electornic manufaturing and trading company having business in all over the country. we have fourteen branches and diiferent sale outlets. Similarly we have different house banks all over the country where each branch deposit its collcetion (incoming checks)
Now we have requirements from managment that it wants to see check deposit status. All the checks from fourteen branches being deposited and how many honoured within value date and how many dishonoured
To meet this requirement i make all necessary configuration for check deposit and configured the scenario. every thing is ok and i also got print through transaction code FF68. but as i demonstrated this to my Finance department , there was requirement of report (not print format) in ALV format to get all the chkecks being presneted at specific date and honoured and dis hounred at that date
As i searched for check deposit list through SDN i found programme RFKKCK01 for this. i also made alll necessary configuariton for this report but as i executed it there is message "No payment lot corresponds to the selection criteria"
i am not finding any appropriate stuff on this issue

Do i going on right track to meet managment requirements i.e. report showing presented, dishonoured and hounured checks for speicfic date(period)??
Procedure to create payment lot as i am not finding any such field to create payment lot(back end or front end)??
At presnet we are creating check incoming entry by debiting incoming bank a/c and crediting customer, while in case of check deposit i have to use one additional bank clearing a/c andadditional data entry through t code FF68

Background:
In options I have "check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them" ticked. This works fine, in that I periodically receive a notice of an available update, and it will ask me whether I want to I want to install it.
But there are certain times -- for reasons I won't go into here (unless requested as part of seeking a solution) -- where I want to manually check for new versions, but RETAIN the ability to decide whether or not to install it. But if I click Help/About Firefox/Check for Updates, and it finds an update, it will immediately proceed to install it without asking for permission. While that seems quite inconsistent with my update preferences in Options, it is apparently normal behavior as described in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version#w_how-do-i-manually-check-for-updates.
So is there any way I can manually check for new-update availability but then refuse the update if I so choose? Once an unwanted install begins, I'm concerned that if I click cancel I could end up with a partial installation or some "messed up," duplicated or corrupted FF files (e.g., multiple versions appended with (1), (2) etc, similar to what sometimes confusingly happens when I do an XP System Restore).

I think what needs to be made very clear here is that when a user clicks on "check for updates" the software should bloody well CHECK for updates and most certainly SHOULD NOT proceed to download and apply any updates. this is misleading and intrusive.
I just wanted to check if there was an updated version but I DID NOT want to actually update at that moment. the software downloaded data, costing me money and tried to apply the update which could have potentially messed up my settings if I had not checked everything was ok first.
I actually discovered how to prevent the update by searching through windows and manually deleting the files but why should anyone have to go to such lengths?
the software should simply do as it is asked, not do things that have most certainly not been asked.

You could also try using an admin file that should answer those questions for you
I usually use something like:

I've successfully installed the same pkg on a non-zoned server. Also tried SMCsubv143 and got the same error. So the pkg is ok, it appears a problem with the zones and/or /usr/local.

How to check for updates on SCM packages?

Hey guys,
I wondered for some time now how to check for updates on SCM packages, i.e. -git
or -svn ones. Updates for binary packages are automatically updated by pacman,
no problem there. Checking for updates on non-SCM packages from the AUR is
easily done with one of the various helper tools available (personally, I use
slurpy).
However, SCM packages can change without their PKGBUILD changing, so I'm not
notified that I should recompile and update them.
Is there a "proper" way of doing this? Am I missing something?

If your system is booting then u can say that your bootblks are installed.Usually BootBlks are present in 0 & 1 slice of UFS Filesystem

An x86 FDISK partition for the Solaris software begins with a one-cylinder boot slice, which contains the partition boot program (pboot) in the first sector, the standard Solaris disk label and volume table of contents (VTOC) in the second and third sectors, and the bootblk program in the fourth and subsequent sectors. When the FDISK partition for the Solaris software is the active partition, the master boot program (mboot) reads the partition boot program in the first sector into memory and jumps to it. It in turn reads the bootblk program into memory and jumps to it. Regardless of the type of the active partition, if the drive contains multiple FDISK partitions, the user is given the opportunity to reboot another partition.

in SE80 you see for the BW package only DD und ABAP objects. The BW objects (like infocube) you don't see there. You can use for example SE03 - change object directory entry.

Our company has been running ISA B2B for many years. Now that we upgraded to 7.0 we are creating business roles for internal users.
In IMG transaction > CRMC_UI_PROFILE for role SALESPRO it can launch logical link id ISA-RTPCAT = Product Catalog
and we configured img "Activate Links from CRM Web Client UI to Web Channel Applications" for RPTCAT to point to our server host / XCM application / url = /catalog/cat/webClientEntry.do
So when the sales pro launches the product catalog we aren't getting a window asking which shop or product catalog to select from. I'm thinking I'm missing a step somewhere.

I have this code to check for used port :

The code works fine. But in Windows 2003, it behaves differently. It does not detect that a "tomcat shutdown port" is already in use. Any other used port throws an exception, which is what is expected. Any idea will be appreciated. Thanks!
