Check if shema is in sync

i have oralce streams in a bi-directinole environment.
with schema replication.
how can i check of the tables on rows level are is sync.
is there any script procedure or somthing to check this.
regards,
Shamier

Hello
You can also use the Oracle Supplied PL/SQL Package DBMS_RECTIFIER_DIFF. Infact these were meant for Advanced Replication, but it does not have any dependency with Advanced Replication. You can use this with Streams as well.
The procedure DBMS_RECTIFIER_DIFF.DIFFERENCES can be used to find out the differences between the tables in source and target.
The procedure DBMS_RECTIFIER_DIFF.RECTIFY can be used to sync the tables between source and destination.
This is a much more sophisticated method than using traditional SELECT ..MINUS.. SELECT, where you have find out the differences manually and sync them manually, whereas this provides procedures to do it.
Please refer metalink note <Note: 1062732.6> for more details and a working example.

  • I check artists or albums to sync to my iphone and it says it syncs but then does not show up on my phone's music library. HELP

So, I'm trying to sync all my Jason Mraz to my iPhone. On iTunes, after I plug in my iPhone to my MacBookPro, on the iPhone tab I check the artist "Jason Mraz." I then sync my phone. I goes through the process then when I check the music library on my iPhone nothing shows up. I then try the same procedure with checking each individual album. Same thing. I tried turning the phone off and on to see if it would show up after I did that, and still nothing. Please help me!!

Un-sync all your music to remove it from the device, then restart (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). Now re-sync your music.

  • Check Constraint names aren't synced when engineering to logical

Just learned about this tool at OOW and ran into an issue involving check constraint names being compared but not synced when engineering from the relational model to the logical model. When I set the constraint names in the logical model (and perform one last "Engineer to Logical Model") after that the compare dialog shows the table and entities match. Is this a bug?
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. importing a relational data model from data dictionary which contains a table with a column level check constraint
    2. perform "Engineer to Logical model" to produce the logical model
    Issue:
Perform another "Engineer to Logical model" which will show the table with the column level check constraint as being out of sync with the logical model's equivalent entity, when you drill down into the diff in the compare dialog box you see the check constraint name has a value in the relational model and the name is null in the logical model
    Verify:
Looking in logical model at the constraint (<Entity>/Attributes/Attribute Properties/Default and Constraint/Constraint Name) the value is empty
    Work Around:
Set the constraint name in the spot from verify above and perform "Engineer to Logical model" twice. The first time it will show the same issue, the second time it will show the table and entity match

    Hi Bo,
thanks for feedback. It's fixed now and you'll get the fix in version 3.0.
Another( probably better workaround) - in engineering dialog - "Compare/Copy options" tab - uncheck "Don't use for new objects" option.

  • Best approach to a sanity check based ram-to-disk sync?

    Here's the scenario;
I'm working on an embedded project using ArchLinux at its core. The application I'm running creates a cache of content utilized by the end-user at first runtime, and updates it each subsequent runtime. If the content directory reaches around 4000 items, this causes menu selections to become quite slow, since its reading from a disk-based cache. This will almost certainly be the case in the deployed application, therefore the appropriate action in my mind is to run as much of the application from memory as possible. Given the gratuitous amount of 4gb of ram, I can copy the entire program directory, a large cache, and all interface elements into ram at boot, and run the application from there (tmpfs entry in fstab -> cp -R from static directory on disk -> ram) This leaves only the actual content elements (~40gb) on the disk for runtime access. The problem with this approach is runtime usage statistics and information relevant to the user experience is also written to the program directory (which is now in ram); this is fine, since it lowers the amount of writes to the solid state disk greatly, and I can sync the data back to the disk on a clean shutdown... however, in the event of power loss or unexpected interruption, all data would be lost.
I know how to quickly check if data was changed, since the tmpfs will have timestamps on all the files. However, what is the best way to sync the data back to the disk? Should I just write a bash script to copy data to tmpfs, start the front-end in the background, and re-launch it if terminated, and also check data every 15 minutes, followed by either doing nothing or copying data to the static directory?
The end goal, obviously is to minimize the amount of "Please Wait..." time there is on screen...

    Chris,
I did the reinstall via Recovery, and have to admit it was pretty sweet that everything just came back.
Unfortunately, there have been intermittent probs.
I believe you may be suggesting a reinstall from scratch though, which is my intent at this point. Haven't done it yet. I do maintain a backup, yes.
I thought simply re-copying the iTunes folder might bring any crud along with it, but I don't suppose it would hurt to try. Then I can avoid the stuff I'm hoping to.
    Thanks,
    Markie

  • After a diagnostic check for both connectivity and sync, we may have a conflict.

    fellow iPod classic owners,
after a diagnostic check in which my iPod was found to be connected, on the sync test it was found to not be there. it appears that something is very amiss here. now granted i am not a whiz kid, but when one test tells you that you are connected and the next tells you that you're not, who do you believe? i smell a conflict of some kind or some such thing. clearly we have issues here. i don't know where else to turn. anyone have any ideas? both tests are part of the help tab on the iTunes page. it seemed reasonable to start here, but there is a conflict in the test results.
                                                                                                                                                                      awaiting your comments,
                                                                                                                                                                          hardphil.

    mancave4me,
the answer to the question is yes/and yes again. with one comes the other. i still have the problem even after uninstalling and reinstalling the apple apps. it's a thing which plagues pc users. it isn't an issue for my hp laptop however and that intrigues me. i'm no whiz kid with this stuff, but when you pass the connectivity test and it says your iPod is there. then, you fail the sync test because it tells you it is not there. somethings amiss at the circle k. i smell conflict. this is easily solved. just use my laptop for iTunes unless you have a working solution.
that's the way i see this. it's not the end of the world by a far stretch. let me know if you have a solution. thanks for your concern.                                                                                               sincerely, hardphil.

  • Entire Itunes library will not download to Ipod nano! All is checked and it says it synced but it will only put the few new purchased songs on my ipod.

My son deleted the music from my Ipod.  I pulled up my Itunes on a new computer with windows 8 and pluged in the Ipod and my music reappeared.  However, I then purchased new music and the new music would not download.  I am not sure what I did but now the new music is on my ipod and all the old music is gone.  When I am in my itunes account all the songs are selected and when I hit sync it is still only syncing the newly purchased songs.  How can I get my entire library back on my ipod?

So you also rebooted your router correct?  Does the iPod still connect okay to other networks?

  • How do I check that my photos have synced from my phone to my mac air?

I've not backed up my phone in ages so I backed it up and tried to sync a new playlist to it, then it came up saying "this iPhone is synced to another iTunes" and that I need to completely  erase my phone to be able to put one playlist on it.... I've had my mac over a year and my phone for maybe 9 months and it has never been plunged into another laptop or mac?
Is there anyway of bypassing the "erase everything" button?
I dont trust it because overtime this happens I lose a year of photos and all my music I've bought and its really annoying.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks xx

    Hello Fudge94,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand your concern for you photos when trying to sync or backup to your computer and you are given the prompt to erase your device. To ensure that your photos are stored in your Mac, please follow the instructions in the attached article to import your photos into iPhoto. This process does not use iTunes and will not erase your iPhone. You will be given to keep the photos on your iPhone or delete them after import, however. Please let me know if you have further questions about this process.

  • Inability to Sync Checked Podcasts in iTunes 7.6.2

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's no longer possible to sync only checked podcassts in iTunes 7.6.2. There wasn't a straight forward way of doing this in earlier versions. (If I'm not mistaken, you checked "Manually manage music" and "Sync only checked songs" on the Summary tab and unchecked the top Sync option on the Podcasts tab.) Now, even the back-door method doesn't seem to work. (In 7.6.2, iTunes will no longer sync your iPod if the top, Sync option on the Podcasts tab is not checked and/or "Manually manage music" is checked.)
It is possible to manually drag podcasts without snycing. But without syncing, I'm afraid iTunes won't keep track of what you've played nor where you are in each podcast. (I find this critical when podcasts have accumulated lots of episodes and you need a quick way in iTunes of tracking what you heard already and don't want on your iPod. And it's important to sync where you are in a podcast if you are shifting between iTunes and the iPod when listening to long episodes.)
The fix is easy and clear I think. Apple simply needs to add "all checked" after "all" in the drop down list given with the Sync option on the Podcasts tab.
    Thoughts?

I am having the same problem. It seems thta Apple has caused quite a problem for us.

  • How to sync different checked items to ATV and an  iPod

I recently purchased ATV last week. Aside from the familiar port 3689 being blocked problem I'm pretty happy. My question is can I sync certain items to my 64GB Touch and everything to my ATV? I have sync only checked songs for my iPod selected. That works fine. For ATV, I had Sync Music checked along with Entire Music Library checked. I sync ATV and it leaves out the unchecked albums. I than checked Selected Artists, Playlists and Genres. I checked everything under artists. Sync ATV and it is still leaving out the unchecked items for my iPod. Basically I want my entire library on my ATV but not in my iPod. Thanks.

    Michele Gardner wrote:
My opinion is yes you want to manually manage your sync for your iPod and TV. For the TV having manual control is on the Summary tab I believe - sorry, I'm not at home. Make sure everything is checked in iTunes so the TV gets it. Then on the iPod, manually add your music or maybe create a playlist that contains only what you want, then sync that playlist only (and any other playlists you want of course). In this scenario, you actually don't need manual sync for your TV, but I still think its preferable to have that option be the only thing checked on the Summary tab. Good luck.
there is no "manually mange" option for the appletv.
the "manually mange" option in itunes for ipod refers to being to drag and drop content which you can't do with the appletv.

  • IPod Nano Sync Help: Using "Checked songs only" feature

    Hi
I just got an 8 gb nano and not used to selecting only part of my library for ipod sync(used to have a 20gb)
Problem: Sync not doing what i would expect
What i have done: I have unchecked most of my library so that it will fit in my ipod (i am not sure how many are checked/uncheked)
Also I have choosen the "only sync selected playlists"
What i want to do: i want to sync all the playlists + only checked songs
When i choose sync all playlists it tells me that the library dosen't fit
then, if i do "slected playlists" + checked songs, it only syncs the songs that are in the playlists and not all the checked songs
What is the hirerarky in the two options: is the "sync checked songs only" more iporatnt than the playlists
how can i get both : the checked songs only + my playlists?
thank you in advanced for your help

This issue has been posted several times; try to search for "ipod skipping songs".

  • EVERYTHING SYNCS (even is not check marked)

I installed the newest version of iTunes. I have a new 160GB iPod Classic. Everything in in iTunes library syncs to my iPod even songs I have uncheck marked. I have checked and unchecked them several times. This started prior to the upgrade of iTunes and before I got the new iPod. The new iPod replaced an 80GB Classic in which the hard drive failed. How can I get ONLY the checked songs to sync. I do not want everything in my library on my new iPod. Thanks!

Do you have *Sync only checked items* ticked?
To me, checking and unchecking items to sync to the iPod is tedious.
Using playlists is much easier to manage what goes onto your iPod.
Try creating playlist(s) and syncing only those playlists.
Select the iPod in iTunes. Click the Music tab.
Tick *Sync music* and choose *Selected playlists* in the drop down box.
Tick the playlists you want on the iPod.
Then just Add/Delete from those playlists and plug in the iPod.
The only time I uncheck things is for items I never or rarely want on the iPod such as old audiobooks and Christmas music.

  • After iOS 8 upgrade, Wireless sync lost!

iTunes will not sync wirelessly with my iPad.  What's up with that?  Anyone else having this trouble?

Yes. I had the problem myself.
Check Settings>General>iTunes WiFi Sync. Are you seeing the message to connect to iTunes with the cable and select WiFi Sync in iTunes? I saw that message in the setrings when my iPad no longer appeared under devices in iTunes on my Mac running 10.9.4 or whatever the latest Mavericks is. I just kept selecting the WiFi option, sync again, remove the cable, plug in again if necessary and start the process all over again.
IT took me about 5 or six tries going through the whole process again, but it finally worked. You might want to quit iTunes, reboot the Mac and restart the iPad as well and then try again.

  • Sync Music will not sync voice memos.  Why?

When I check "include voice memos" in Sync Music, and sync music, Voice Memos do not move into iTunes.
Memo is 33 minutes but that does not really seem, to me, to be an issue.  A search does not find it nor is there a Voice Memo Folder created in iTunes
    Ideas?  Solutions?
    Thanks

I didn't start this thread, but have the same question. I recently updated my iTunes and tried to sync and backup my iPhone so I can update to iOS7. Only, my music is not syncing from my iPhone to iTunes. Some of this music I have had for a couple of years and no longer have the CD for (I have teenagers...CDs damaged or missing). Out of 104 songs, only 3 are showing up. Any ideas?

Box for maually managing music & videos only says "Manually manage videos".
After I connect my iphone via lightning wire & click on the "iphone" tab on the right side, then I click on the "music" tab, all I see is a check box telling mme that I can sync my voice memos. Nothing else. SOMETHING is wrong!!!!

  • IPod Classic 160G not syncing with new iTunes

Since upgrading to new  PC and iTunes version, my iPod is only syncing ~ 2/3 of my 6900+ songs. No error messages. Can't see what is driving what is and is not synced. Plenty of space left on the iPod, > 1/2 empty still. Never had this problem before. iTunes on the PC is working just fine. Tried checking the setting
"Convert higher bit rate songs", tried manually checking all items to be synced,  but that did not work either. Any ideas?

    iTunes 12.01.26

Same problem with a mac. My computer will recognize the iPod on the desktop and itunes even opens up when I plug it in, but the iPod doesn't appear on the iTunes menu and won't let me sync.
