CHECK LIST BEFORE PRODUCTION

Hi
what are the things we need to check once the config requests are uploaded into production server.
chris

u need to check the
1)condition tables are copied or not
2)No ranges for Rg 23 reg are copied or not
3) plant setting of CIN copied or not
4)release strategy if applicable u have to create the characteristics.
5)J1ID settings are copied or not specially chapter IDs
rest all will be transferred through requests only.
all above told settings are transactional level thats why u have to check the same otherwise no need to check the settings.

No reason to be embarassed. You are not alone.
You will need an external drive. If you have a Time Machine drive without enough disk space you can create the clone there however it's advised that you keep your Time Machine and clone on separate drives. If the drive dies you loose both types of backup.
Download and install the clone software. Everyone has their favorite. These are the two most common applications used. I prefer SuperDuper because of it's simplicity in setting up. It's also free for the first clone where with CCC you have to give a Credit Card then cancel if you do not want to keep.
    SuperDuper! http://www.shirt-pocket.com/

Select your drive in the To popup. Click on Copy Now. That's it.
Yes, it really is that simple....

  • QA Check List

    Hi All,
Can any one help me  to prepare QA Check List
Idea behind this is before submitting for review what are the things we need to check
    Ex:
    1) For unit testing what are the steps we need to chek
    2) Before proposing transport requests what are the steps we need check to get transports success full.
Just i need subject line on what aspects we can prepare QA Check List.( Like mentioned above Unit testing, transpotation... etc
    Thanks,
    Kishore

    Dear Kishore,
    Some tips are mentioned below.
    Unit testing:
Make sure that all the objects are already tested in the Development system by the developers.
Load all the relevant Masters before loading the transaction Data.
Take a snap shot data of production server and load it in QA server.
Prepare the test case documents based on the Production data
    Transport Requests:
Break the complex transport requests into multiple simple requests. for example if you have a data
flow from Datasource to Multiprovider and reports. Break them into 2 or 3 requests to avoid memory
         related issues.
Always import the dependent objects requests first to avoid import errors
Prepare a transport request log and mark the sequence of transport & dependencies
Analize each and every request log after import is completed.
Manually check whether all the objects are properly imported or not.
Hope this helps to prepare your QA related activities.
    Regards,
    Sreenivas.

Uninstall and try the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool before reinstalling - it helps resolve installation problems for CS3 thru CS6 and for Creative Cloud

  • Script for 'Check Links Before Opening Document' preference

I'm trying to find the VB script for changing the "Check Links Before Opening Document" checkbox on the File Handling panel in the Preferences dialog? I haven't found any documentation referring to the Links items on that panel.
    Bob

    Thanks for the info.
Was there a document you pulled this from?
I have an old document from CS2 days that is invaluable for providing a detailed list of available script methods and properties. Obviously things that have been added in subsequent InDesign releases aren't in this document. Later InDesign CS releases offer script SDKs that contain helpful sample scripts but I don't find a detailed summary similar to one from CS2. Have I just not found them? Or how does one find the script method/property for things not contained in the sample scripts?

  • Cannot see list of Product Categories in Shopping Cart entry screen

    Hi All,
I would appreciate it if someone could help me with this issue.
Although I appear to have sucessfully replicated the backend R3 Mat Groups into SRM Product Categories, as I can see them in the hierachy screen, i.e. Hierachy ID R3MATCLASS in trans code COMM_HIERARCHY, they are not appearing in my Shopping Cart entry screen Product Categories drop down.
I have looked in Org structure maintanance and can see two things that may be the root causes:
    (a) In 'Exended Attributes', if I select the Source System, I do not get the option to list the product categories in the match code box
(b). In the 'check' screem, the system is displaying the message 'Attribute ITS_DEST not yet defined'
Any feedback on how I can pull in the groups during cart entry would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi Kathirvel,
I am not sure if this workaround is correct, but rather than using trans code BDLS as you suggested, I defined the logical system 'ABC' . This logical system was the assigned as a target system in 'Assignment of Logical Systems' under the product category customisation (table COMV_LOGSYS_MAP)
These changes subsequently allowed the drop down on the Org structure when selecting a Product Category in extended attributes, therefore making the list available in the web front end.
The IMG help text for COMV_LOGSYS_MAP says:
    Case 1
You have created the categories in your test system. They therefore have the logical system <SYSTEM_TEST>. So that the categories can also be changed once they have been transported into the production system, the categories must have the logical system <SYSTEM_PROD> in the target system.
    Maintain the following entry:
    Source <SYSTEM_TEST>
    Target <SYSTEM_PROD>
The logical system of the categories will be changed from <SYSTEM_TEST> to <SYSTEM_PROD>.
This appears to have resolved the issue. I would be interested to hear what you think,
    Many thanks , Steve,

  • Quality Inspection before Production

    Hi All,

  • Something is deleting my distribution list in Production system

    Hello masters:
I created a distribution list in order to send emails from a workflow item. It's working fine in dev and qas. However, something is deleting my distribution list in Production system.
And the worst is that my distribution list is deleted as soon as I create it again (well, it lasts a few days).
Does anybody knows what could be happening?
    Thank you.

Probably the Distribution list is not getting created at all.
Also check whether there is any program that is deleting the distribution list.

Also check for Authorization when you are trying to display existing Distribution list.

  • SAP BW on HANA DB Migration - Technical & Functional Assessment Check List Required

    Hello Experts,
Typically, Before we start SAP BW on HANA DB migration, we would certainly need Technical & Functional Assessment Check List. As per knowledge, to execute BW on HANA DB migration, we would need HANA Admin and Developer, BASIS and BW consultants.
Can some one share me what exactly these people does in Technical & Functional Assessment ?.
What could be the duration ?.
Does this people require to login into the system's physically and perform any activities ?
    Please share me details.
    Thanks,
    HA

    Hi,
with the perferred (and recommeded) database migration option (DMO) as part of the SUM the need of these Functional Assessment Check List might obsolete, as a lot of manual tasks are integrated into the automated process, which were only available as lists in the past.
For an Overview, see - Migration BW on HANA - Update 2014 | SCN
For a detailed step by step, see - SAP First Guidance - Migration BW on HANA using the DMO option in SUM

  • FCH1 - Check List No data found

    Dear SAP Experts,
We are in the middle of technical upgrade to ECC6. I tested the "FCH1 -
Display Check Information" in ECC6, from the menu bar I select "Check -
List" to display the list of checks. The system displays “no data found”.
However in 4.7 R3, when I perform the same function, system displays
    list of checks.
There are actually many checks have been issued in 4.7 R3, any idea how to fix
    this issue in ECC6?
Thank you very much in advance for your kind assistance.

  • Pre IDS Implementation Check List for Sig Tuning

    Hi Experts,
IDS signature tuning can get quite involved.
To make sure nothing important is overlooked, is there a Check List that can be used?
If not, what are some of the critical items that should be known beforehand?
A couple items are obvious e.g. type of OS's used and what servers must never be blocked. But, I'm sure there's a whole list of things that should be considered.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Knowing the behavior of your network and the applications that you are running is very important before signatures can be tuned. To avoid false positive alarms, you may have to observe your network for a while and tune the signatures until you get the desired result. From my experience, signature tuning is a contnious process and has to be monitored on a regular basis.
