Check the size(kb) of an image

Hi,
I would like to know if an image is 70 kb or more. How can I solve this?
My code
doc = app.activeDocument;
app.preferences.rulerUnits = Units.PIXELS;
if(doc.length > 70){
     Do something....

c.pfaffenbichler wrote:
var theSize = File(app.activeDocument.fullName).length;
alert (theSize);
Footnote That code shows the file size the documents assoated file when there is one.  New documents have no file assoatio till saved. If the current document was made using file open it is the size of file opened.  If you have made modification to the document and want to know what size it will save as there may be quite a different in size from the file that was opened. Embed the code in a try catch for if the current document has no file assoaction this is what you will see.

  • HELP !!! How to check the size of an object in Photoshop ?

    Hello,
    I'm using Photoshop CS 3 to design a website. I used several shapes such as rectangle, line or ellipse of different size. Probably it is a stupid question but I don't know how to check the size of an existing rectangle. I tried free transform tool that selects my rectangle but doesn't show its size. Then I made a selection with rectangular marquee tool but I see nowhere the size of the selected area.
    If you know the name of such a tool please help me !
    Have a nice day !

    Web images are all pixels. View at 100% at pixel view. that is your exact size

  • Checking the size of the infocube

    Hi,
    How can we check the size of the infocube with large volume of data? From the SAP standard practice what is the optimal size that an infocube can consist of data with out an impact on the query performance?

    Hi
    When estimating the size of an InfoCube one must consider the size of the fact table and dimension tables. However, the size of the fact table is the most important, since in most cases it will be 80-90% of the total storage requirement for the InfoCube.
    The following shows how to calculate the size of an InfoCube, including the dimension tables and the fact tables.
    Size of a dimension table
    To calculate the size of a dimension table:
    u2022     The size of one record of the dimension table can be calculated by summing the number of characteristics in the dimension table at 4 bytes each. Also, add four bytes for the key of the dimension table.
    u2022     Calculate the number of records in the dimension table
    u2022     Multiply the size of 1 record by the number of records
    Assume that the dimension table indexes will take up as much space as the dimension table itself.
    Size of a Fact Table
    To calculate the size of a fact table:
    u2022     Count the number of key figures the table will contain, assuming a quantity key figure requires 9 bytes, a currency key figure requires 9 bytes, and other numeric fields require 4 bytes (or more).
    u2022     Every dimension table requires a foreign key in the fact table, so add 4 bytes for each key. Donu2018t forget the three standard dimensions.
    u2022     Add these figures together to get the size of 1 record
    u2022     Calculate the number of records in the fact table
    u2022     Multiply the size of 1 record by the number of records
    Assume that the fact table indexes will take up as much space as the fact table itself. This is more index space than is usually required in most OLTP systems. In the fact table, many of the columns will be foreign keys with pointers to dimension tables. Each of them will have an index.
    Add an additional 150% for temporary table space and aggregate tables. An aggregate contains both new dimension and data tables. A rule of thumb is that all the aggregates will be the size of the fact table.
    Hope this Helps
    Regards
    Shilpa

  • Checking the size of the object

    Hi all , i need to check the size of the Oracle internal table for the text index created .
    dr $r --table
    option 1:
    SELECT S.bytes Bytes, SYSDATE FROM DBA_SEGMENTS S, DBA_LOBS L WHERE l.TABLE_NAME='DR$TEXT_SEARCH$R' AND l.SEGMENT_NAME=S.SEGMENT_NAME;Option 2:
      select bytes from dba_segments where segment_name='DR$TEXT_SEARCH$R'for 1 i got 7670000000
    for 2 i got 655366
    Which i correct to identify the size of this table

    Hello,
    In fact you have one Segment for the TABLE and another one Segment for the LOB related to this Table.
    Your two queries don't return the same value because they don't deal with the same Segment.
    If you execute the query below, you may see the name of the LOB Segment related to the Table:
    SELECT S.bytes Bytes, S.segment_name FROM DBA_SEGMENTS S, DBA_LOBS L
    WHERE L.TABLE_NAME='DR$TEXT_SEARCH$R' AND L.SEGMENT_NAME=S.SEGMENT_NAME;Hope this help.

    Hi,
    I need to check the size of the spool in my system. How can I check that?
    Let me know please.
    Much Thanks!

    I am not sure if you are looking for this...
    In Sp01 check your spool no and click on 'Request attributes'(a hat kind of icon). and in TemSe Attributes tab you will see the size in bytes.

  • Is it possible to reduce the size of a single image on a slide now in keynote 6.0?

    This feature seems to have disappeared in the update and the only option is to reduce the whole file size..
    Thanks!

    Hi Gary
    Sorry should have been clearer - I mean reduce size of the image in byte terms not resize. In keynote 09 you could use format>image>reduce size fo rthe slected image only.
    It was a better way of just dealing with a specific bloated image rather than reducing the resolution of images throughout.

  • How to control the size of Database's image

    hi,
    I have already saved image in database, & i also can retrieve image from database. But My problem is that when i save big image then it shows with it's original size. But i want to see its size what i want? But how this possible?i want to see it's small size. i cannot do it. I know how to control the image with ImageIO . But i don'nt know how to control the size of an image from database. I cannot do it. Please Help me.

    Hi,
    You can control the database size at technical setting level based on ur requirement. Field name is Size category.
    Thanks.

  • Can I change the size of a photo image to less than 6KB?

    I am trying to reduce the image size on i photo to less than 6KB or to less than 80x80pixels,
    on a photo that was imported from photo booth, is that possible?

    You can certianly get the 80 x 80. Crop the image to square, then File -> Export and you can set the maximum dimension in the Size field in the Export dialogue.

  • Getting the size of a jpeg image

    Hello,
    I'm looking for a way to get the size (height and width in
    pixel) of a jpeg file before actually loading the file.
    Is it possible ?
    Thanx.
    Vincent

    This is a flaw in Pages IMHO.
    As for many things the information and manipulating the properties is oblique to say the least.
    You have to do what you have done or do some calculations based on size, and known resolution.
    A way around might be to tag the image in the name with the actual pixel size.
    I work from my images marked in folders as vLoRes, LoRes, MedRes, HiRes, vHiRes and uHiRes.
    Given a basic requirement of a bare minimum 100 pixels/cm (roughly 254dpi) for commercial reproduction the images will cover (with bleed):
    vLoRes = A7
    LoRes = A6
    MedRes = A5
    HiRes = A4
    vHiRes = A3
    uHiRes = beyond A3
    But then I happen to be very systematic in the way I work. It is a useful skill I have taught in my studios. Unfortunately many designers, and users in general, are sloppy and short sighted.

  • How to reduce the size of a jpeg2000 image ?

    Hi all,
    I use Java ImageIO to :
    - create JPEG images from JPEG2000 images
    - create JPEG2000 images from JPEG images
    The transformation JPEG2000 to JPEG works fine. The transformation JPEG to JPEG2000 works too, but the JPEG2000 images that I get have a size too big.
    => For a JPEG image 640x480 with a size 43 Kb, I get a JPEG2000 image with a size 170 Kb
    => For a JPEG image 800x600 with a size 66 Kb, I get a JPEG2000 image with a size 276 Kb
    I tried to change many parameters in the J2KImageWriteParam object :
    final J2KImageWriteParam paramJ2K = new J2KImageWriteParam();
    paramJ2K.setLossless(false);
    paramJ2K.setCompressionMode(ImageWriteParam.MODE_EXPLICIT);
    paramJ2K.setCompressionType("JPEG2000");
    paramJ2K.setCompressionQuality(0.5F);
    paramJ2K.setEncodingRate(Double.MAX_VALUE);
    paramJ2K.setFilter(J2KImageWriteParam.FILTER_53);
    //      paramJ2K.setWriteCodeStreamOnly(true);
    //      paramJ2K.setComponentTransformation(true);
    //      paramJ2K.setProgressionType("res"); //Resolution-Layer-Component-Position
    //      paramJ2K.setProgressionType("layer"); //Layer-Resolution-Component-Position
    //      paramJ2K.setProgressionType("res-pos"); //Resolution-Position-Component-Layer
    //      paramJ2K.setProgressionType("pos-comp"); //Position-Component-Resolution-Layer
    //      paramJ2K.setProgressionType("comp-pos"); //Component-Position-Resolution-Layer But, whatever the values, I still have the same size.
    Can someone help me please ?
    Thanx

    Hi,
    I found a solution, for those interested :
    I change filter to have this :
    paramJ2K.setFilter(J2KImageWriteParam.FILTER_97);So I get a JPEG2000 with very good quality and a size ~40 Kb.
    Nevertheless, whatever the value I set for compression quality and encoding rate, it has no effect on the quality and the size of the JPEG2000 image, I don't know why...

  • How to check the size of an info cube?

    Dear all
    Is there any t-code which can be used to see the total disk space occupied by a specific cube?
    I know ST14 can be used for the TOP 30 cubes and stuff.
    but my cube is not in top 30.....so how should i see the total size of my cube in bytes?
    please help me...i need it urgently
    Please dont recommend the SAP note on Sizing...i have it...the caliculation gave me wrong answer!
    Total Points assured!!!!

    Hi,
    we can calculate the size of the info cube.using this information
    Each keyfiure occupies 10 Bytes of memory
    Each Char occupies 6 Bytes of memory
    So in an Infocube the maximum number of fields are 256 out of which 233 keyfigure, 16 Dimesions and 6 special char.
    So The maximum capacity of a cube
    = 233(Key figure)10 + 16(Characteristics)6 + 6(Sp.Char)*6
    In general InfoCube size should not exceed 100 GB of data.
    While considering sizing, you must consider factors like years of data rewuired for reporting, acceptable repsonse time, database limitations, archiving options, etc.

    Is there any tool to check the usage of internal flash of ipad in detail ?

    Hi,
    Is there any tool to check the usage of internal flash of ipad in detail ?
    Not memory, but storage space.
    Connect your iPad to your computer. Launch iTunes. Select the Summary tab. Storage space available at the bottom of the iTunes page.
    iOS devices do not support Flash.
