Check what master data was carried with last load

Hello all,
I have an issue. I'm looking for a solution, so maybe you can help me :).
I have the InfoObject A linked to InfoObject B , through a transformation.
I also have a DTP.
Running the DTP , I load master data from A to B.
A and B already contained data, before my load.
How can I check what master data was carried with my last load?
(I don't have the chance to check by request, as if in the case of a cube , for example)
Thank you.

I agree like cube we cannot see the request wise data wise data .
The alternate to this is you are updating the data through the DTP correct .
Goto DTP maintenanve screen and click on the PSA and check the date wise data in that .
I hope you must be awared of  which date data you need to see . So you can check from the DTP PSA screen .
Assign marks is the best way to appreciate help

  • HR master data change export with Interface-Toolbox PU12

    Hello out there !
I implemented a HR master data change export with PU12 at one of my customers.
It works fine - with one little problem:
It is only possible to export one period (actual or selected).
Is there any possibility to export more than one period (also periods in the future) ?
The request is to export also master data with validity start date in a future period.
    Thanks for any help.
    Greetings, Holger Mächtig

    Dear Holger,
I am very curious about your problem last year. Is it possible to do a future export with PU12?
I am now working with PU12 for the first time and I have set up a export file in PU12.
But when I am doing an update without filling the name for the file layout I have the following error:
"An error occurred when opening the "export file"
When I am filling the file layout I have the following error:
"An error occurred when writing to an export file" (Error Number E107).
    "File processing: end of file".
When I am not doing an update the export file runs and seems right.
Do you know what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance!
    Kind regards,
    Yvette

  • "Check BW Master Data" in MC62 issue

    Hello,
I am creating CVCs from an Info provider.  I am selecting the "Check BW master data" when i create CVCs immediately.
When i intentionally put wrong values in characteristics which are not in RSA1 (Info object-->Maintain Master data) i am unable to create the CVC when i create a single CVC.
But when i create CVC immediately from Cube (The cube is uploaded from a data source through flat file) with values in flat files which are not in RSA1 (Info object-->Maintain Master data) , the system is not complaining that there is no master data. It is creating CVC for what ever values i have in Flat files. Is this normal or is the system supposed to error out just like it did when i create a Single CVC?
Any idea how i can tackle this. Appreciate your help in advance.
    Thanks.
    Sai.

    Hi Sai,
I can share what I understand.
CVC is not BW data, it's part of APO DP master data and has connections to BW in the sense that you use the characteristics which are defined in BW.
When you are creating CVC and checking for BW master data, you are checking if characteristic data is correct BW wise also.
If the master data for characteristic is not found, BW is issuing an error.
On the other hand, data in Cube is already a BW data, and all the BW related checks are already done at the time when your data has come from flat file to the Cube. So, there is no chance that you would get BW check related error when you create CVC from cube.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks - Pawan

  • Checking the master data automatically before the payroll run...

    Hi Friends,
Can anyone tell me that, is it possible to check the master data automatically before the payroll run.
If any user forget to maintain any important info-type ( like Cost Distribution ) in time of master data maintenance, SAP allow the Payroll system to run the payroll for that employee. Only in time of account posting the user is able to know the problem and due to rectify the problem they have to delete the payroll.
So, I therefore wants to know that is there any check point or can customized any such things, which will check the necessary info-types before running payroll and generate an error massage about the missing info-type and also skip the processing for that person.
    With regards,
    Diptendu

    have
    a look at this report
but before that make sure wht are the mandatory infotypes that are maintained to the employee so that u can come to an idea what are infotypes that are maintained for the memployee

  • How to check the master data records in using SE16 transaction?

    Hi!
    Welcome to SDN.
you have to check the master data tables.
soo in Se16 you have to select the appropriate master data table and view the data.

  • IPad stolen. Can I see what app data was backed up in iCloud?

    Hello,
    My ipad was stolen.
How can I see what app data was backed up on icloud?
    Thank you
    - Jim

Unfortuantely, you can see what's in a backup without restoring it to your device.  You also can't selectively restore just certain apps.  Also, your apps aren't really stored in your backup, only your app data is.  When you restore the backup, the app data is restored, then the apps are redownloaded from the App store, along with your other purchased media, assuming they are still available.
What you could do is back up your iPad to your computer (connect it to your computer, open iTunes, then go to File>Devices>Back Up and File>Devices>Transfer Purchases), then erase it (Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings), restore the old backup (go through the setup screens and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup).  Then you could either live with the restored backup and all it contains, or erase it again and restore the iTunes backup you made earlier (connect it, open iTunes, go to File>Devices>Restore from Backup).

  • Checking the Master Data Load

    Hi,
If my report doesn't work and I have to check the Master data is uploaded properly or no, How do I check that?
Can you help with the steps?
    Thank you.

    Hi Radha,
The shortest way to check the Master data of any info object is:
    Goto SE16 or SE11:
In the table text box give: /BI0 or C/MXXXXXXXXX
    '0' for SAP generated infoobject
    'C' for Customer generated infoobject
    View of MstrDtaTbls: 'M'
    Master data tab: 'P'
    SID table attr.: 'X'
    Text Table: 'T'
    XXXXXXX - infoobject.
    Hopes this helps.

  • Why we create settlement profile. What master data must exist in sap before creating settlement profile for order.

Why we create settlement profile. What master data must exist in sap before creating settlement profile for order.

As mentioned above, settlement is to post the cost to cost centers or any possible receivers as per the settlement profile. PM / Service orders, WBS elements, etc., can be temporary cost bearers from which cost should be settled to some permanent receivers.
Cost elements / Cost element groups should be available as Master data before configuring settlement profile.
To answer your latest query, there are 2 type of cost centers.
Sender Cost Center - Against this, labor / internal activity price will be maintained in KP26. This cost center will be maintained in PM / PP work centers. While creating PM / PP orders, one of the work centers & activity types will be mentioned. Based on the KP26 entry for the combination of Activity type & Sender cost center, price will be picked & calculated according to work hours / labor hours maintained in PM / PP orders.
Receiver Cost Center - Receiver cost center is the department / location cost center to which cost should be settled. Only receiver cost center will be maintained in settlement profile. Sender cost centers will be picked up automatically from work center.

  • Make Indicator "check bw master data" mandatory when creating CVC in MC62

    Dear All,
There is a requirement to make the indicator "check bw master date" mandatory while creating CVC using tcode /sappao/mc62.
I have tried SHD0 - transaction variant. This field is not shown.
Is any other way to realize this?
    Thanks,
    Bin

    Hi,
It is not possible to make the indicator "check bw master date"  mandatory  as this is generated program.
To meet your requirement using BADI /SAPAPO/SDP_MASTER method SET_COMBI_VALUE_CHECK you can force the
system to check 'BW master data' or if this flag is not set then throw the error message.

  • Check on Master Data Value (User Manual Input)

    Hi all,
    i have the following situation:
User has to insert a set of Characteristic Value (these are not limited in level for any value nor variable) to be able to enter layout and does manual planning, with my great astonishment i have noticed that BPS does not do any check on the master data value inserted by the user, for example if user insert value '1' for 0payscalety CH instead of '01' the system does not give any error message and goes directly to perforate the Master Data with this wrong value.
Does exist any setting/tip to avoid this unpleasant situation?
    Many thanks in advance
    Fabio

    Hello Fabio,
personal I would not set up a data model, which makes differences between 01 and 1. It is known that this will make always problems in the future.
I believe it is quite more unpleasant that SAP does not provide detailed documentation...
    You can use e. g.
    - conversion routine in BW char.
    - message, fox
    - char. rel. and / or ABAP
    - drop down list which does not allow manual input
to manipulate before / after input. These are some of those possibilities, which SAP provides.
    regards

  • What Master Data to hold within a Data Warehouse

    Hi,
We are developing a data warehouse which will incorporate Master Data entities. We have a pre-existing Master Data Management solution which will be the system of source for MD within the DW & associated Data Marts. We have decided to have a copy
of the MD within the DW. However we are of two schools of thought on what data should be held.
One school says that only those attributes that shapes a query result should be held in the DW-MD the second says that All MD that may be used by a reporting system should be held within the DW so that it is the single source of data for the reporting
application. let me give an example. Let’s say we have a Customer MD entity with the following attributes
    Customer
    ID
    NAME
    COUNTRY *
    EMAIL ADDR
    CITY *
    PHONE NUM
    GENDER *
    LAST LOGGED IN
    FAX ADDR
    DATE OF JOINING *
          LOGO (binary)
Now, we will never do a query based on phone number, fax or email address etc. But the attributes flagged by a
    * will shape queries when coupled with our facts. Such as "find all male customers with 4 or more transactions over $1000" or "find all customers registered from 2007 based in New York who have purchased an X". However when
showing the results we will always show the full customer profile including Name, email address etc. (I realise the queries are very specific and not report queries as such but they suffice for the question at hand)
The first schools says only the query shaping MD elements should form the MD within the DW and that the reporting application should obtain the remainder directly from the group MD system as required. The second school says that the DW (or the DM) should
furnish all the MD required by the application. My question is which of the two approaches is considered best practice and as importantly, why?
    Cheers,
    Daryl

Do you have ODS? NDS?...? or you just have Data warehouse as the only resource for covering reports and dashboards?
if you do have only the Data Warehouse then you have to cover
all report's requirements within the data warehouse, no matter it used in the filter/slicing dicing/or as display only field. So I would add those fields such as names, email address, phone number, as attributes in the data warehouse. But I will only
consider indexing and data warehouse best practices for performance tuning for attributes that participate in slicing and dicing and filtering (such as country, year....).
on the other hand; if you use SSAS multi-dimensional cube on top of your data warehouse, then you can set some attributes to be only visible (attributes for display only), and some of them to be visible and hierarchy enabled (attributes that participate
in slicing and dicing and filtering).

  • Master data  deletion -  text with compounding

    HI All,
I have " 0PYMT_METH" Info object which is having "0PYMT_METH_TEXT" Data source.  " 0PYMT_METH" Info object is having text and  0country with compounding attribute.
    - First , I did not load this master data , I loaded transactional data. so some values for key are loaded without text and country in master data.
    - Later i came to know we need text for paymnt method, then i loaded again master data. but i am not able to delete previous entries which have blank text.
-i deleted data with SIDS and deleted all the transactional data , still i am getting that entries with blanks.Because of this in report output i am getting # value for the text.
How to solve this? Is it because of compounding attribute ? If so can u please suggest regarding this ASAP?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jo

    Hi,
Please check the data load for the text as you must be loading
MAster Data CHAR , Country , LANGUAGE and TEXT as fields in your data source.
As the Text can be over written so if the porper key fields are matched the text should be modifyed everytime.
SO please check what combination you r  loading .
ANyway if that is one time , and very less data you can manually maintain th text for master data .
In order to delete teh data you use SE14 use the text table there to delete the data. PS : This is not recommended solution .

  • Master Data: 2 records with different FROM-TO dates

    Hi,
I am extracting the master data from R/3. In R/3 the master data record is created with valid FROM: 01/01/1900 and valid TO: 12/31/9999. But when I extract the data into BW it is coming as 2 records one with 01/01/1000-12/31/1899 range and the other with 01/01/1900-12/31/9999.
What settings/steps I need to change to get only one record for now and of course in future any change to the records will comes as different valid date range.
When I schedule the info package, the update tab consist of Fixed time interval start date: 10/20/2005; end date: 12/31/9999.
Time being to avoid this in the transfer rule of FROM date info object selected constant option with date 01/01/1900 as in R/3????
    Appreciate your help on this.
    Thanks.
    Sudha.

    Hi Nagesh,
    Thanks for reply.
I have assigned one-to-one from R/3 to BW.
In R/3 I have FROM and TO date and assigned these two fields to Transfer structure FROM and TO info objects.
I have maintained Transfer rule only after getting two records into BW for every one entry in R/3. In the rule I just assigned constant date to avoid 2 records for every entry from r/3. So nothing to do with the routine.
I want to see one record in BW for every entry coming from R/3. At present in the BW master data sitting as 2 records.
    Example:
    one record in R/3 with:
FROM date: 01/01/1900; TO date: 12/31/9999.
Inserted 2 records into BW with:
FROM date: 01/01/1000; TO date: 12/31/1899.
FROM date: 01/01/1900; TO date: 12/31/9999.
    Thanks.
