Checked or Filled field from XML

Hi!
I have question with start form from XML.
How to run a form from the xml so that when you turn they were running some of the elements: RadioButton or EditText item filled with value?
For Example:
I have a text field and I would like to set the form field that was filled with the value "aaa"
I have a checkbox field and would like to set the form was checked.
I do not want to use coding for this purpose. Is there any solution to this problem?
regards,
Krzysztof

Link this dropdown to the xml tag with the proper values. So that Option A has the associated cost as the value for this option and so on. In the exit event of the dropdown set the text box value with the selected value from Dropdown.
TextBox1.rawValue = DropDown1.rawValue;
Thanks

  • The pre filled fields from downloaded pdf forms are blank; e.g.; prefilled pdf forms from insurance companies.

    I download pre filled pdf claim forms from the web site of my insurance company. The fields are not pre filled with my personnal data ( name, address, etc) like it is supposed to. Furthermore, I cannot even type my own data in the blank fields. All of this works all right with another browser.

    The new built-in PDF viewer does not have the capability to do fill-in forms. Development is still underway on enhancements to the PDF viewer.
    In the meantime, you will need a PDF application that can do fill-in forms (Adobe Reader and Foxit Reader are 2 free PDF applications that can fill-in PDF forms).
    *You have Adobe Reader 9.3.4 installed, but it is a very old version and needs to be updated due to security issues.

    I just want INR to be shown in the text field?
    Plz help..

    You might have to tweak this code some to get it to work, but it should at least lay the groundwork for solving your problem:
    Code Snippet
    /* Declare an XmlNode object and initialize it with the XML response from the GetListItems method. The last parameter specifies the GUID of the Web site containing the list. Setting it to null causes the Web site specified by the Url property to be used.*/
                System.Xml.XmlNode nodeListItems =
                    MyListsService.GetListItems
                    (listName, viewName, query, viewFields, rowLimit, queryOptions, null);
    System.Xml.XmlDocument xd = new System.Xml.XmlDocument();
    xd.LoadXml(nodeListItems.OuterXml);
    System.Xml.XmlNamespaceManager nm = new System.Xml.XmlNamespaceManager(xd.NameTable);
    nm.AddNamespace("rs", "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:rowset");
    nm.AddNamespace("z", "#RowsetSchema");
    nm.AddNamespace("rootNS", "http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap");
    System.Xml.XmlNodeList nl = xd.SelectNodes("/rootNS:listitems/rs:data/z:row", nm);
    foreach(System.Xml.XmlNode listItem in nl)
      listBoxProsjekter.Items.Add(listItem.OuterXml);
    I hope this helps!

  • Populating Text Fields from XML Based Drop Down

    Hello,
    I'm new to the Adobe Livecycle I have been challenged to make a PDF form that pulls information from an XML file.
    I have been able to get the from to read the XML file and I have successfully created a dynamic pull down, but what I am having a problem with is that when an item is selected in the dropdown I want it to pull other information stored in the XML file.
    <user>
      <csrName>MyName</csrName>
      <csrExt>123</csrExt>
      <csrFax>123-123-1234</csrFax>
    </user>
    <user>
      <csrName>MyName</csrName>
      <csrExt>321</csrExt>
      <csrFax>999-234-1322</csrFax>
    </user>
    My pulldown reads each csrName and I can select whom I want, but how do I get <csrExt> and <csrFax> to pull over for the correct <csrName>? I figured it needs to be done by some code during the "Change Event" but I have not figured out what code is needed.
    Any help is greatly appreciated, if anymore information is needed just let me know and I'll share what I got.
    Thanks
    Derrick

    Thanks for the reply.
    Right now I'm starting with a blank form and once I get my head wrapped around this then I was going to modify what is already in use.
    I'm attaching my scheme and xml file.

  • Possible to use JavaScript to Import Data from XML file to pre-fill fields?

    Hi,
    I have a dynamic fill-in PDF that I want to "pre-fill" internally in my company before sending out to users who will change any pre-filled fields necessary and answer questions we did not already answer.
    We do not have LiveCycle Reader Extensions, but we can use Acrobat to import data from an XML document to pre-fill the named fields.  Is it possibly to do this task using folder-level Javascript or some other method?  I can look into this, and post my findings, but I'd like to know if it's possible or if I need to use a different programming language.

    Hi,
    I am afraid that solution was for a specific client and I can't share it. If I get a chance I will mock up an example, but this wont be for a while. From memory it was just a straight importData method. This would normally fail silently in a non-certified form, but when the form is digitally signed/certified, it works without a hitch.
    Good luck,
    Niall

    Hi Srikant,
    You can use the following code. This works for me.
      Remember to set the multiplicity of the User structure to 0...N or 1...N
    IGPStructure inputStructure = m_context.getInputStructure();
    Collection inputItems = inputStructure.getStructures("User");
    if(inputItems == null){
    return;
    for (Iterator iter = inputItems.iterator(); iter.hasNext();) {
    //get input item structure and fill context
    IGPStructure item = (IGPStructure) iter.next();
    String attrName=
    item.getAttributeAsString("AttrName");
    Thanks & Regards,

  • User exit to check the consistency of filled fields before saving

    Hi,
    I am looking for a User Exit which can be executed when a user click on "Save" button.
    In this User Exit, I would like to implement some controls to check the consistency of filled fields.
    I have an example to better understand : I work on transaction code ME11 and ME12 (create and modify Info Record). When all mandatory fields are filled, the user can save its. When the user click on "Save" button, I want that a checking (with a user exit, or anything else) verify the consistency of some fields (for example, the consistency between the Tax code of the country and the country of the supplier).
    If it's not clear, I could precise...
    Thanks in advance for you help...

  • How do I selectively  convert check boxes (Alt0168 Wingdings) but NOT Bookmarks into editable fields (from Word table)

    Acrobat X (Windows) is converting all fields from the Word table - making even the imported bookmarks editable. We just want the check boxes interactive. This has to be done on a large volume of documents, so it needs to be automated. I suspect some coding will be involved or perhaps a 3rd party app that allows one to selectively convert fields.
    Thanks!

    Ok, I found out that I need to apply the patch 5746875 to have that. But there only instruction to apply this patch on unix env. I need on Windows. Can any body help me?

  • Auto-filling proceeding fields from user's initial input - Possible? How?

    Hi there,
    I'm quite new to LiveCycle (and scripting). That being said, I'm trying to create some automation in forms for work.
    I've been asked to create a product order form in which the Order Administrator would choose the product from a list of Product Codes. Once s/he chooses the Product Code [numeric field] from this list, the Product Description [text field] appears right next to it, and then the Product Price [numeric field] would populate the last field. I will duplicate this over multiple rows into a table, then autosum the last column which should be filled with various product prices, taxes, S&H, etc. (autosumming the Price field is easy enough - this is not my issue so let's just focus on the major concern of auto-filling descriptions and prices for now...)
    For e.g.
    Product Code
    Description
    Price
    6759-85746-098 [Order Admin chooses from list]
    Large textbook (x1) [Automatically inputs based on Product Code]
    $30.00 [Auto-inputs from Product Code]
    5864-98723-124
    Black pens (x10/set)
    $5.25
    I've tried for days to figure out how to script this, going through numerous forums, printing off reams of Adobe help documents, trying to learn Java and/or FormCalc in solitude, and yet I still can't figure this out. To explain, I'm not a coder/developer but a print-focused graphic designer.
    If anyone knows how I can solve this I'd be very grateful. I'm now wondering if a) I need to somehow connect (bind?) the information in an external database or sheet (Excel?), b) figure out some elaborate script that would automate these descriptions and prices, and/or c) bang my head against the wall in fruitless frustration.
    Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

    A simple example.  May not meet your needs depending on the number of products.
    Droplist named ProductCode
    Text Fields named Description and Price
    Java Script the droplist on the change event
    if (xfa.event.newText=="5864-98723-124")
    {Description.rawValue="Black Pens"
    Price.rawValue="$5.25"

  • How to disable certain form fields from a calculation with a check mark fields.

    How to disable certain form fields from a calculation with a check mark fields.
    In Canada we have to taxes
    I create a form that calculate them to a total
    I need to be able to turn off any of those to taxes to participate to the calculation and their visibile field should become 0
    I was thinking using a checkbox (when checkbox is on (Yes) the tax is calculated, Not ticked (Off) the tax is not calculated and the visible field should show 0 or nothing....
    I really need help on this one — I’m a complete newbie....
    Remark that the second tax is calculated on the sum of what the first tax add (first tax is pan-canadian tax (all provinces).
    The second tax is never use alone (Quebec only (on top of the Canadian one)
    Sometime for outside Canada sell - No tax at all is calculated....
    What should I do?

    I want to tank you to help, really appreciate —>
    This is the code and order... I just trow the checkbox in there (they have, so far, no purpose...)
    The code use is
    var a = this.getField("pricehorstx");
    event.value = Math.round (a.value * 7.25) / 100
    I guess -If the checkBox are check - The tax should be calculate — If “Off” the tax should be not calculated and PriceHST and /or PriceQST should show zero or be empty — The HST is always calculated in Canada, but the QST is added only in Quebec.
    I need to turn both to Zero for international sale.

    How can I fill structure from the line with contetnt of a XML file inside?
    I have array of lines with XML documents inside. All XML's have the same structure.
    I need to fill array of structures (with the same structure like given XML's) from data of these XML's.
    How can I do this? I am trying Transformation with ora:parseEscapedXML, but receive error: "XPath expression failed to execute.
    Error while processing xpath expression, the expression is "ora:processXSLT("Transformation_1.xsl", bpws:getVariableData("ProcessedFiles"))", the reason is javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: Could not find function: parseEscapedXML.
    Please verify the xpath query."
