Chinese Fonts are coming ZUNK when i do print preview from web UI
Hello All,
I have a smartform which includes a standard text which is maintained in Chinese language. This smartform would be called from web UI -> activities -> Fax -> print preview.
when i do print preview of any activity, everything is coming correct except chinese text, it is coming as zunk characters.
i have created a standard text ( through Tcode - SO10 ) in CHINESE When i call it in my Smartforms it is displaying like boxes ( garbage ) .
But when seen in SO10 in Chinese login language the text is maintained properly in Chinese
Please let me know wat is missed out or is there any settings which should be enabled.
how would i do Character set enabled for chinese language?

Hi Sagar,
Yes that's a problem for Cyrillic fonts , I suppose you are using two action definitions : one for ES and one for EN print.
For Spanish you have to use a smart style which supports the ISO Cyrillic characters and that will then open up correctly for Spanish users.

I would suspect this is a hardware issue. The rollers are probably having issues picking up the relatively smooth thick media. You might have better results be cleaning the paper pickup rollers with a damp paper towel. Also make sure the paper is snugly loaded and the paper guides have been correctly positioned.

I am having trouble printing a PDF document. Whenever I click print nothing happens but when I am printing documents from Word, Excel etc they print without a problem. I've tried printing as image but that did not work. I uninstalled Adobe Reader XI and downloaded Adobe Reader X instead and that still doesn't work. I have Windows 7.

Firefox doesn't print or open preview, when I select print preview I get the following error: Couldn’t open the file. It may be corrupt or a file format that Preview doesn’t recognize.
However, when I print from Safari or another program, I have no problems

A bold font and irritating fonts are coming everywhere after installing firefox 11 beta 1
when i am typing anything on Google search bar it is coming in bold, any websites title and sub titles are coming in bold and it is very irritating. sometimes my fonts are suddenly transferred in any totally unknown language. please help me to sort this out.

Why am I told that fonts are not available when the file was originally created in Fireworks?
I get the "Fonts not available" message when I open up a document, i.e. open up a png document in the program/computer/etc. where the program was created in the first place.
I don't get this. How can the fonts not be available when I'm using the same program that used these fonts originally? Having said that, the appearance doesn't seem to change.Are the fonts in question installed on your computer?
Fonts are not part of a program, fonts are installed on a system. Once installed, a font is available to any program that uses fonts. If you're opening a document that was made in the same program, but on a different system, using fonts you do not have installed, then you will get that message.
So... Are you opening a document that you created? Are you opening the document on the same system on which the document was created? Have you made any changes to the installed fonts (installed or uninstalled any fonts)?
What version of Fireworks are you using and what OS are you running it on? -

When I was in a website and I wanted to print a page there use to be in the upper left hand corner of my screen a tab that said 'FIREFOX', I could click on that tab and I had several options, one was 'print' and 'print preview'. I use the print preview button all the time to see what the page would look like when I was printing and how many pages there were. I could then choose to print all or some of an article and adjust it to what I wanted to print. I no longer have that tab in the upper right hand corner. Now in the upper right hand corner is a tab for 'open menu', however in that menu is only a 'print' button. There is no option for 'print preview' and therefore I cannot adjust what I want to print. I also could adjust the margins, etc. from a view tab, that too I cannot find. I really hope there options are still available and how do I find them, where are they located?
In my updated firefox, the print button does NOT open print preview first.

the print preview shows up very small on the screen and therefore when u print the document is being cut up into numerous pages
settings are fine. in fact i went to print preview of your email answer and it split the preview into two pages. this is only happening in firefox , thru internet explorer no problem

I used to be able to print shipping labels from Amazon.com. The label image is a pdf, but on the pdf page there is no print button. When I go to file print preview in the main tool bar, the image shows the file name, but no shipping label.
You can't delete pages with Reader, only with Acrobat.

Can this be a timeout in the connection from BOBJ to BW? Or is it another error. Any help is appreciated!

I would recommend to trace the MDX statement created from WebI and check if your restrictions are indeed porpagated through the MDX statement.
Have a look at the following SAP notes (http://service.sap.com/notes):

Which version of BOBJ are you using? Which is the patch level of your SAP BW server?

Workflow not proceeding, when decision workitem is executed from WEB UI
Hi Gurus,
We are using the standard user decision task(TS00008267) in a custom workflow.If we execute the Decision task workitem from the SAP Inbox(backend SAP GUI) then if we see the workflow log the outcome of the decision task is being populated in WIRESULT & _RESULT fields and the flow is proceeding further and the workflow is working fine.
But If we execute the same Decision task workitem from the CRM Portal worklist (WEB UI) and see the workflow log the Outcome is being populated in Process & Process fields Overwriting WIRESULT & _RESULT the field names. The decision task status is set to 'Completed' and the workflow is not proceeding further and the workflw status remain 'in process'.
I am not sure whether any settings to be made in the backend to make it work and flow the data from WEB UI to bakend? if so please let me know the setings . or

The agent assignent is fine and the task is also made as general task . Even the object i am using is standard 'BUS2000120' not the custom one.
i feel the problem may be due to someworkflow settings between Web UI and backend. Let me know if any settings like such (apart from SWU3).

When trying to access pictures from web site upload (Blogger),access denied
It's my first week using a Mac, so I'm a beginner. For some reason I can't access the pictures that I have loaded in iPhoto from websites (for uploading). Pictures that are not inside iPhoto load fine.
I tried looking at my permissions settings, etc, but can't see any reason why it won't let me. I've seen two iterations of this. One type is that it greys out the iPhoto file so I can't click on it, and the other time it allows me to click on it but doesn't expland it (there is no triangle beside it indicating additional files inside).
Accessing iPhoto directly allows me to get at every picture I have, and edit at will.
Help would be greatly appreciated!Scubabear

What version of iPhoto are you using? This sounds like an iPhoto v7 issue. (iPhoto Menu -> About iPhoto)
There are three ways (at least) to get files from the iPhoto Window.
1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
To upload to MySpace or any site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser. Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
Also, for 10.5 users: If you use the extended Open or Attach dialogue (with Column View) you can scroll to the bottom of the Shortcuts and find the Media browser there. Select any pic you want from there.
