Choose kind of tax on F-28

Hi experts,
I am practicing in t-code F-28. First, I choose a bank account. Second, in post incoming payments process open items, I choose invoice to paid. Addition, I want to more 1item (tax: posting key = 50, account = tax), but I can't choose kind of tax (output tax).
I  think it depends on field status group. I tried to configure, but it wasn't successful.
Please help me.
Thanks so much.

Hi
In such transactions you cannot add the Tax line item.
You have to do the configuration in Img -->Finnacial Accounting(New) -->Financial Accounting Basic Settings(New) -->Tax on Sales/Purchases.
1. Check Calculation Procedure
2. Assign Country to Calculation Procedure.
3. Define Tax Codes for Sales and Purchases.
4. Define Tax accounts.
5. Assign Tax Codes for Non-taxable Transactions.

  • Error in SMW01:Allocation of the tax for country RO, sequence 1, value 0 no

    Hi,
when materials are replicated we found a queue existing in SMQ1 and SMQ2.
When i have checked in SMW01 for the Log it showed me the error "Allocation of the tax for country RO, sequence 1, value 0 not possible"
Then i clicked on Show BDoc Message Ext.data It showed around 20 materials.I ahve checked the material in R3 there is no sales view for this material type itself.
i tried to replicate one of those material manually then it is replicated.
Can anyone guide me why system showed "Allocation of the tax for country RO, sequence 1, value 0 not possible" this message even there is no problem with material?
Is there any Trasaction to find the exact material which is creating problem?
kindly suggest me few points on this how to solve this kind of error in future
    regards
    subbu

    Hello Subbu,
There is a txn:CRM_TAXCUST_VALIDATE which would help you to figure out any issues with Tax customizing.
Please exceute this txn and you would come to know the list of erroneous tax customizing.
    Also,
in CRM table CRMC_TAX_MAP for country RO,check whether any  records have been
maintained for Access Sequence (i.e LFDNR) 1.
Please check the following customization in txn:SPRO.
    CRM->Basic Functions->Taxes->Basic Settings->Tax Types and Tax Groups->
Assign Tax Groups to SAP ECC Tax Classifications (Product).
For example: If there are entries for Country RO for sequence 1 and
value 0 there must also be correpsonding  entries in R/3 table MLAN and
    vice versa.
Also,I kindly advice you to go through the documentaion of
"Assign Tax Groups to SAP ECC Tax Classifications (Product)" in CRM,
which is present in the above mentioned SPRO navigation.
    Also,
*If you are not sure about the sequence of the taxes, you can check it
in SAP ECC, in Customizing for Sales and Distribution (SD), by choosing
Basic Functions -> Taxes -> Define Tax Determination Rules.
    Hope this helps!

    Hi SG,
In SPRO > IMG > SRM > SRM Server > Cross Application Basic Settings > Tax Calculation
1.Determine system for tax caluclation : Choose either no tax calculation or Tax calculation occurs in back end.
    2. Enter Tax code : Mention Tax indicator as I0 and tax description Zero Tax, Check the No Tax check box and make it default based on your requirement.
Please follow the above steps based on your requirement which will definitely resolve your issue.
This issue comes when the tax calculation happens in the SRM system and the tax code I0 is not defined in tax procedure TAXD.
Hope this makes you more clear. Clarifications are welcome.

  • Extarcting Tax details from CRM

    hi all
i want to extract tax details especially TAX TYPE & TAX GROUP for a Business Partner from the CRM System.
Kindly help in knowing the different ways of doing it. Do we have a Standard Datasource, if not then what are the tables which stores this Details or any FM so that we can create a Generic DataSource.

    Hi,
    Please see the below link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40/helpdata/en/86/1ec63e22026e6be10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    Tax Classification
    Use
In order for SAP CRM to be able to calculate taxes, it has to know what taxes apply to each business partner and each product, and at what rate. For more information, see the example below.
No matter which tool you use to calculate taxes – Transaction Tax Engine or the condition technique – you have to specify which taxes each business partner and each product is liable to, and at what rates.
In SAP CRM, different taxes – such as VAT (value-added tax) or excise duties, for example, on cigarettes, are called “tax types.” The different tax rates, for example, VAT at 15%, 7.5%, and 0%, are called “tax groups.”
    Activities
    Customizing
Carry out the activities in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management, by choosing Basic Functions ® Taxes ® Tax Types and Tax Groups.
    Master Data
    Business Partners
If you maintain a business partner in SAP CRM, assign it the appropriate tax types and tax groups, according to whether it is liable for tax at the full rate or reduced rate, or whether it is exempt from paying tax. To do so, in the business partner master, enter the tax types and tax groups on the Identification tab in the Tax Classification group box.
If you maintain customer master records in SAP R/3, the system automatically replicates them to SAP CRM, where it creates a business partner master record. If you have entered a tax classification in the SAP R/3 customer master data, SAP CRM automatically assigns the appropriate tax type and tax group to the corresponding business partner master record.
If, when a clerk creates a business partner in SAP CRM, he enters a tax type and tax group for a particular region in a country, the system does not replicate the tax data to SAP R/3. The clerk then maintains the customer’s tax classifications in SAP R/3 manually.
For more information about replicating business partner data, see Distribution of Business Partner Master Data.
    Products
If you maintain a product in SAP CRM, assign it the appropriate tax types and tax groups, according to whether it is subject to tax and if so, whether at the full rate or reduced rate. To do so, in the product master, enter the country, tax types, and tax groups on the General tab in the Taxes group box.
If you maintain materials in SAP R/3, the system automatically replicates them to SAP CRM, where it creates a product master record. If you have entered a tax classification in the SAP R/3 material master record, SAP CRM automatically assigns the appropriate tax type and tax group to the corresponding product master record.
As with business partners, the system cannot replicate tax types and tax groups at regional level (see above).
    Thanks, Aby Jacob

  • Tax Jurisdiction Code Check as part of a Sales Order Partner Function

    Hi,
I have a scenario where we modify partner information directly in the sales order. These partners are simple addresses and are not tax relevant. We have set them up as one-time customers. Every time when we modify the address information, Vertex kicks in and tries to match the address information (street, city and state) with a tax jurisdiction code. In our case the address information is high level (only city and state) which is not enough for Vertex. SAP issues then a blocking error message.
We try to find a way to ignore Vertex for these specific partners. In the documentation we have found a user exit, as well as a BADI, but our developpers were not able to make it work in the sales oder.
The user-exit is the following: EXIT_SAPLFYTX_USER_001
The BADI is the following: IF_EX_ADDRESS_SUBSCREEN
In EXIT_SAPLFYTX_USER_001, I've found a parameter (EXEMP_IND) which could enable to bypass the tax jurisdiction code check and the RFC call to Vertex.
In IF_EX_ADDRESS_SUBSCREEN, I've found a parameter (CHECK_ADDRESS) which could potentially bypass the check as well.
Did any of you already experience this scenario or would you have an idea about how I could make this work?
    Thanks
    Loic

Unfortunately, the sales order is created through an interface (using iDOCs), and the external system feeding the iDOC for the sales order creation does not have any Zip Code information. Besides, even if the Zip Code is entered, it is still not enough for Vertex to choose automatically a Tax Jurisdiction Code, most of the times, it is also requiring a District, which again, will not be passed from the interface.
We went through this analysis already and we came to the conclusion that we need to bypass this check, as this partner function is not tax relevant.
    Thanks,
    Loic

  • How to modify a wrong tax category in the G/L master

    Hi, SAP experts,
    1. User using T-code "FS00" to create an operating expense G/L account '6492009', but choose the wrong Tax category( '>'
output tax)  on the tab 'Control Data'.  It still create a cost element anyway.
    2. Then user create/post billing with the entries Dr. AR Cr. 6492009 and a cost center value can be assigned correctly.
    3. Now user using T-code "F-02" to post an adjust FI document, but meet the error message 'Account 6492009 requires an
assignment to a CO object'. But because of  the wrong Tax category, nowhere we can input the cost center value.
    4. Even we try to modify wrong Tax category back, we meet the error message "Changing the tax code not possible,
      accoutn has a balance".
Here are my two questions: 1. Why the accounting document posted from the Billing is correct and normal
disregarding the wrong Tax category setup? It shouldn't be posted successfully.  2. How do we change the tax category
in the G/L master from  ( '>' output tax)  to ( '+' Only output tax allowed)  under the balance is not zero, then we can
use T-code  "F-02"  to post ? Or we have to recreate a new G/L account to replace the current G/L account "6492009"?

    1. Why the accounting document posted from the Billing is correct and normal
disregarding the wrong Tax category setup? It shouldn't be posted successfully > First, check your OB40 set up if the output tax account is correctly set up there. The system will still be able to post since the correct tax account assignment is maintained.
    2. How do we change the tax category
in the G/L master from ( '>' output tax) to ( '+' Only output tax allowed) under the balance is not zero, then we can
use T-code "F-02" to post ? Or we have to recreate a new G/L account to replace the current G/L account "6492009"? > you need to create a dummy GL account to transfer the balances from this account to make it zero then change the tax category of 6492009.

  • CIN tax procedure TAXINN

    hi all,
    in
Logistics - General - Tax on Goods Movements - India - Basic Settings - Determination of Excise Duty - Select Tax Calculation Procedure
if i choose to have tax procedure TAXINN,
    in
Logistics - General - Tax on Goods Movements - India - Basic Settings - Determination of Excise Duty - Maintain Excise Defaults
i can only define 1 condition type under CVD cond. field..
what if i have a few several more condition type to be defined?
because in J1IEX, the Total BED value is taken from the condition type defined in CVD cond. field.
how is it possible for me to add in a few more condition type into CVD cond. field?
i have tried adding the other condition types under field like A/P BED Cond. and A/P SED Cond. but the value was not being captured in J1IEX.
    anyone can advice?
    thanks.

    Hi all,
my scenario is i need to have the following condition type(customized) to be populated in the excise invoice.
Z001 - Z004 are the customized condition type for their respective tax.
    CVD - Z001
    Edu CESS - Z002
    Higher Edu Cess - Z003
    S.A.D  - Z004
    IN
Tax on Goods Movements - India - Basic Settings - Determination of Excise Duty - Maintain Excise Defaults
since i am using TAXINN, i have managed to tagged Z001 to CVD cond field and the value was able to come out in J1IEX correclty.
what about Z002 to Z004? do i need to switch to TAXINJ so i can populate them into A/P BED cond, A/P SED Cond, A/P AED Cond? what are the alternatives for TAXINN?
i read somewhere that for india implementation, it's best to use TAXINN, as TAXINJ will be obsolete soon. - correct me if i am wrong.
I will need to populate all the values above to in J1IEX so that in my RG23D form can capture and display the value from Z001 to Z004.
    thank you.

  • Function of Tax code in tax determination

1.What is the function of Tax code in tax determination, and where it is assigned ?
2.What is the use of VAT registration number in Control Tab page in Cusomer master ? Does it effect the tax determination in a transaction ?

    Hi Sunil,
    1.  Tax code determines the percentage of tax on purchases
    Steps for Tax determination:
      Define Condition Types
Define Procedures --- You need to define the tax calculation procedure for your country
Select the calculation procedure / control data------- give the Procedure for tax determination
You create the tax code at Tcode-- FTXP
There you provide the tax percentages for the tax code
Define the tax account the Account key (OB40), which will be an account determination
    2. VAT registration No in customer master will be used for any kind of tax exemptions if applicable
There can be impact inthe tax determination as the customer is entitled for the exemption.

  • Assignment field in tax line item

    Hi
Withholding tax rates are maintanted in vendor master data. So while making entry vis fb60 it automatically posts to the TDS as per rate maintained. My problem is in line item for this kind of tax, which causes problem in document posting. Error log says that these tax line item need to be corrected.
When i give some input in "assignment" field then only it allows to post.
Could you tell me where this "assignment" field is maintained as mandatory for posting?
    Thanks
    Sweta

    Hi Sweta,
Use OBC4 and change from mandatory to optional the assignment number in respect of field status group (I suppose G001) which has been mentioned in respect of that GL Account which is meant for TDS.  This should solve your problem.

  • Canadian Tax Postings not working correctly in Vistex R/3 Solution

I'm creating settlement posting records in FI for accounts payable.  I'm settling a total dollar amount to a vendor account in LFA1.  In the cases of Canadian settlements, I need to use the tax jurisdiction code to post the correct tax amounts.  I'm able to determine the tax amount and the 2 digit tax codes also.
When the settlement posts, there are only 2 lines which post.
The vendor line posts for the full amount and the clearing line also posts the full amount.
If this was a US settlement posting, only 2 lines would be correct, since there is no tax.
On the CA post, I am expecting 3 - 4 lines to post.
Line 1 is the vendor line, which posts the full amount (Settlement amount + Canadian Tax).
Line 2 is the clearing line, which posts the settlment amount only.
Line 3 is the tax line (GST lets say) for $XXX
Line 4 is the tax line again ( only happens sometimes based upon the tax code)
When I do a manual posting using FB01, I enter the vendor line first with the tax code and I choose 'calculate tax automatically'.  Secondly, I enter the clearing line for the original amount and then I hit enter and choose save.  The posting then in FB03 then looks correct.
Above, before my settlement posts, I choose the calculate tax automatically option in the user exit as well.  Any ideas would be helpful.
    Thank you.
    Ryan.

Thanks Muthu for your reply. Can you pls explain in details how do i check the material group setting?
Also the problem is faced only for PO's created from SRM system. When a material PO is created manually in R/3 system, the conditions are determined correctly(which means the config settings are OK).however when a material PO is created through replication(from SRM system),this problem arises.
We now feel that the problem could be due to BAPI "BAPI_PO_CREATE1" which is used to create the PO in extended classic scenario. Also our R/3 system version is 4.6C .I have not been succcessful in finding any OSS notes which could describe the issue we are facing  as well as which could point out to the fact that this condition determination issue could be due to the BAPI used for PO creation.
    Please advise.
    Thanks again for your time.

  • Tax Condition in MM

    Hi Experts,
    Requirement.......
CST u2013 Non Deductible Tax to be calculated  on Basic and Freight cost.
All Tax being calculated using Tax Code VT.
    In MM Pricing Schema
The  Condition Type FRA1 is maintained with sub-total u20184u2019, so  that FRA1 Value can be part of Basic Price.
Maintained JVCS as condition record ( Using FV11) for that vendor/Material/Plant.
The Tax JVCS is calculated correctly in VT ( Invoice Tab).  All accounting document on GR is found to ok.
    Example
    PB00 = 1000
    FRA1  =  100
    NAVS  = 44 (JVCS @4%)
    Net = 1144.
In  Invoice tab Under VT ,  all the calculation is correct.
Only issue with the MIRO. In MIRO , there are two line items are appearing  one Basic and another Fright cost which is okay , but  when Tax is calculated for line item 1 ( for basic price), the tax is calculated both basic and freight. Again for the second line  item ( Freight cost) , the tax is calculated once again, As a result , tax is calculated twice on Freight Cost.
My  requirement is  that for line item one , the tax should be calculated based on the  basic value  and  again second line item , tax should be calculated once again..
    Could you pls. help ?
    Regards
    Anjan

    Hi
the tax is calculated both basic and freight. Again for the second line item ( Freight cost) , the tax is calculated once again, As a result , tax is calculated twice on Freight Cost.
You have to change your tax code item level in MIRO,if you don't want to calculate tax on fright again then choose zero value tax code in MIRO for freight line item

  • Link among Vendor, Expenditure Gl account and withholding tax keys

    Hi,
could you pls clarify me regarding below
Suppose i am having One Vendor (XYZ) and i am paying him more than one nature of payments (contract, rent, commission etc).  My end user wants the system to calculate the respective tax codes when ever iam debiting the GL a/c.
    Eg: Vendor: XYZ
Tax Codes:  A1(tds on Contract), B1 (Rent), C1 (Comm)
          Gl a/c: Contract Paid (400005), Rent paid (400010), Commision gl a/c (400015).
when i am payable to vendor (credit vendor no) the contract amount (debit 400005), the system should calculate tax code A1.
? IS THIS POSSIBLE TO LINK VENDOR NO, GL ACCOUNT (GL A/C) AND TAX CODES.
? IF  YES PLS LET ME KNOW HOW.
Note: we are using 4.7 EE Version

    Hello
In manual invoicing choosing the right tax code is possible. I am not sure how this can be automated, try substitutions. When it comes to reporting, standard report may not be of much use. Try a query or check with client if he is interested in std report enhancement or modification.

  • Difference between tax amount shown on VAT report and the invoice

    Dear Friends,
We observe that there is a difference of rounding off between the tax amount shown in the invoice and the one shown in the VAT report.
We have to manually adjust this tax amount since the Tax authorities do not accept any difference in the VAT report and the Invoice.
Please advise as what could be done to solve this issue.
    Rgds,
    Kunal Vichare.

    Hi Satya,
There are 2 things: Pricing Procedure and Tax Procedure.
Pricing Procedure tell system about the what and how the price to calculated for material in PO. In this pricing procedure the conditions NAVS / NAVM as pertainin to tax applicable on the PO price. These conditon display the tax. The tax is calculated based on tax procedure. Tax procedure acts as a master and there is one tax procedure for one country. For this tax procedure there are tax codes defined. Tax codes means using the same tax procedure but changing value of various conditions and omiting some if required.
Eg. TAXINN is tax procedure for India. Based in this procedure many tax codes are defined for 12% vat, 6% vat , no vat etc.
So what kind of tax will be applicable on the PO is governed by tax code which is mentioned in Invoice tab (tax code) its a 2 character code.
Based on this tax code taxes are calculated on PO net value and then the tax amount is displayed in pricing procedure by conditions NAVS / NAVM.
MWST is condition for Input tax. If you are using tax code then MWST is not to be used.
Tax code becomes useful while doing MIRO as there is an option of inserting tax code. So the tax on PO net value will be calculated automatically.

  • Germany Tax Audit GDPdU

    Dear Experts,
Wea re going to ahve the tax audit in the last week of february. I am supposed tow ork on the extraction of the relevant data from SAP.
My question is what are the tables should I use to extract the data from? What are tables involved?
We are going to use Smart exporter for this purpose but I really dont know which tables shoud i use for this purpose? PLease help me.
    Thank you.

    Dear Privya,
a concrete message is not possible because the auditor normally requests (based on business terms)
what kind of data he needs. By lay he is able to request everything which is tax relevant.
Go back to the internal responsible for this audit and ask what kind of data you should prepare:
FI Documents, Vendor Master Data and so on. I would suggest to use business terms  where you can derive the table names.
You can also prepare for him a list from DART (which is the standard sap tool) for this purpose.
Run FTWCS use a German Company Code!
Important to get the german field catalog but  the customizing for it has to be correctly setup. By standard it should work.
DART Version needs to be in minimum 2.4.  - you will see it in the header information and normally also the field  catalog.
The field catalog contains a basis of tables delivered by SAP and worked out together with the German SAP User Group for this kind of  tax audit purpose.
You get a list of segments for the modules incl. the source table names which can be exported to Excel.
Your requester can select from this basis and you can use the table names
(with FTWCF you will get per each segment the field names).
Important is that the extraction of the tables keeps consistent!
Try to check that the extracted data is equal to your finanical accounting
else Account balances DEBIT = CREDIT and so on.
In DART there is some functionality if with the smart exporter I don´t know.
If you need more information please contact me personally.
    Good luck.
