Hi,
I want to integrate Cisco Prime Service Catalog with Cisco Process Orchestrator using service link.
How to integrate it. Is there any docs for CPO & CPSC integration.

I replied on your other thread on the same topic. Please see that.

    Hello Jason,
Thank you very much for welcoming me to your expert discussion :) I feel to be in the right place, at the right time. Thank you also for answering question beyond your scope here, much appreciated. The information received will help me to go further as such I have submitted a 5 start rating for your first reply.
That sounds promising about the LMS part so yes, I stay tuned and wait patiently.
Ok, now let’s revert to the actual topic discussed here. Cisco Prime Service Catalog and Process Orchestrator solutions I have briefly read up on this on CCO (where elseJ) and picked out the following quote
---- Quote from the Cisco Prime Service Catalog Data Sheet
Today’s end users want self-service and easy access to IT tools and services.
Simultaneously, organizations are seeking ways to extend their cloud management
platforms beyond self-service delivery of virtual machines and infrastructure resources
while increasing their use of cloud-based solutions to enhance business agility and effectiveness.
Cisco Prime™ Service Catalog offers tremendous benefits to organizations that want to unify the ways in
which all types of IT services are ordered and fulfilled, not just infrastructure requests
    ---- un quote ---
I try to understand what (at high level of course) happens in the back ground when an order is raised and which vendor solution your product can interact with.
As mentioned in the quoted text, this service catalogue goes beyond the standard infrastructure.
Let’s say, a user wants to deploy a new email services, or in your example,  extends or create a new web-portal (i.e. for HR to view and manage holiday, staff absence and benefits).
Your solution will need to interact somehow with the 3rd party vendor application that is capable building such portal I believe.
Without disclosing to many information, I assume the portal is linked to backend VM,s that spin up requested resources (and more magic of course). Perhaps I am mixing this up with another cisco product where a user can go on the portal and spin up virtual Firewalls, virtual Routers can be provisioned in now time.
Out if interest; Is this product also known as Mozart? (project code within Cisco?)
    I hope query is ok.
    Best wishes
    Markus

Let me add to this list a number of issues that seem to be widespread with respect to the sync engine:
Sync engine does not recognize existing content on install of PSE7 if it's an upgrade from a previous version.  Changed photos get sync'd, but you have to make a change to everything to get it all picked up by the engine.
Sync stalls regularly.  No indication is given to the user that sync is no longer progressing (double green arrows remain).  However, the sync process stops consuming CPU and stops communicating with API.PHOTOSHOP.COM (both verifyable using resource manager).
Sync is extreemly slow.  The upload times are an order of magnitude longer than my available bandwidth would permit.  This appears to be due to the excessive handshaking necessary for each individual upload (no bulk transfer implemented).
Not necessarily a bug, but the lack of status information about the sync progress is dismal.
Let's hope the PSE7 team is as receptive to user help in troubleshooting as the PS.COM team turned out to be...

    Hi derevan007,
Could you please send me an example how this can be done? Also could you please tell me where we can get the TaskID?
I have tried this with an example service created. But when I hit the URL as you said I can see only a 500 error page on the browser. I have got the RequisitionEntryID by using the SOAP call getRequisitionStatus.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Cisco Prime 2.1 Third Part Integration

Does anybody already has integrated Cisco Prime with Third party system through Sockets or CORBA ?

Those aren't supported methods. The REST API is the recommended method to integrate external tools.

  • Cisco Prime Infra and SMS gateway integration

    Hello,
Can anyone point me to right documents or resources to integrate cisco prime infra 2.x with SMS gateway?
Is there any way I can get SMS alerts for critical events in Cisco Prime Infra 2.x?
    Any suggestion is highly appreciated.
    Regards,

    Not directly.
If you configure PI to email you on alerts, many carriers allow you receive SMS via an email address - i.e. <your_number>@<your_carrier>

  • Adapters for Cisco Process Orchestrator

    Hi All,
I want the steps on integration of Cisco Process Orchestration with Openstack. Are there any available adapters for this process. If not can anyone explain on steps to write the custom adapters for integration with Openstack.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sateesh B.

We currently do not allow writing of custom adapters. We can integrate through many components through multiple means including adapters, CLIs, web services, XMLs, etc.
You should be able to look at your install of CPO and see all the current adapters or refer to your CPO documentation.
If you are a customer and want more information please open a TAC case.
    thanks,

  • Connect Cisco Process Orchestrator in IAC 4.0

During the execution of the 'Connect Cisco Process Orchestrator' task in the Day 0 Wizard, many miss out on the underlying note to
'Start all other agents'   Please start all other agents 2 minutes after executing connect Cisco Process Orchestrator
thus resulting in errors in the configuration of the HTTP/WS adapter based agents, in particular the ones that communicate with CPO.
The way this service works is the following:
The requestor is prompted with a form to populate related info (hostname, port, URL, credentials, etc.)
Upon ‘submit order’ the request will use the ‘REX Set HTTP Agent Properties’ to configured all the agents that need to communicate with CPO (it modifies their outbound properties).
Once all the agents are configured, the service will pause until ‘start all other agents’ is ordered. Only then will the last step of onboarding CPO take place, where it will communicate with CPO to configure the respective targets, etc. and finalize the request.
If you are still on task ‘Connect Cisco Process Orchestrator’, then you should be able to observer in PSC, Service Link > View Transactions the progress of the request.
The highlighted task should be in a 'waiting' state, before you execute 'Start All Other Agents'
In the event you have not been patient or have not read the instructions (like myself), the following is the process to get you back on track ...
Manually:                           Stop all the agents apart from the ones starting with ‘REX’
Manuall or Wizard Step 1:   Start DB Agent (Agent Name: Insert Default Parameters & Portal Page Assignment to OU)
Manuall or Wizard Step 1:   Start nsAPI Agent (Agent Name: Retrieve OU ID on Name)
Wizard Step 2:                   Connect Cisco Process Orchestrator AND WAIT/ monitor that all configurations are complete before proceeding to the next step 

  • SSIS 2012: Integration Services Catalog not showing data for most recent executions

    Techies--
Under a previous deployment of an SSIS package, I was able to go to the Integration Services Catalog, look under the  folder-->project--> package  then right click and request a standard report for all executions. The report would display
    the execution details.
Today a colleague recently deployed a newer version of the same package to a test server... which is failing from a job set up via sql agent.  I went to look at the root cause by going to the Integration Services Catalog to review the report. No execution
data appears.  I looked at the filter--compared it to the filter I have set on the production copy of the stable version. The folder name, package name and project name match. Both have a status of 'All'. The date range is the same (2/19 - 2/25).
In fact, I went back to the test deployment and changed the date range to the date of the last failure (1/30).  Now I see data only from 1/30 but none for today's execution.
Something must have happened in the deployment process--but what? How do I debug this issue with the reports--but even more importantly,  how do I get to the raw execution data to see what the story is on the failed execution itself?

@Arthur, thanks for responding. In a nutshell, I searched through the ssisdb.catalog.event_messages table to determine roughly the same thing you determined--an execution for that package (or for that matter, any misnamed package) with today's timestamp
simply never occurred--even though the job agent log appeared to indicate it had.
I re-deployed the package ... forced an execution with an interactive run from the catalog... and viola! The execution info appeared through the standard reports as expected.
Any idea where I could/should look for a wayward deployment? (BTW, the report for validations showed no data either on that first deployment).

  • Sql Server 2012 Integration Services Catalog views - cpu usage history

    Hi,
I am new to SQL Server 2012. I have deployed and executed a SSIS package on the Integration Services catalog.
Now, to analyze the performance of the executed package I wish to query the SSISDB catalog views to retrieve the cpu & memory usage history. Please let me know in which catalog view/table I can find this info.
There is a column named "Process_Id" in the "catalog.operations" table. Can we tie this id to the Sql Server pid/kid and then retrieve the cpu
    usage history ?
    ** I am using Sql Server 2012 **
    Thanks

    Hi All,
Thanks all for your inputs. One final question -
As I mentioned earlier, the Sql Server 2012 catalog views
DO NOT  capture various performance metrics
(e.g. cpu usage history, memory usage history etc) of
an executing SSIS package . However, I am cognizant of the fact that it is possible to retrieve this exact info
(ie. cpu usage history, memory usage history etc) for
a Sql-Server internally generated SPID (present in [sys].[dm_exec_sessions]).
The approach is to find a way to join/relate the catalog provided "Process_id" to the Sql Server generated internal SPIDs in a session. If I am successful in joining these 2 process ids together,
it will allow me to gather all the information available from both sides - ie the catalog views + the sql-server internal process SPIDs of the session. Thus, by tagging the SSIS pprocess_id to
its sql-server session it will allow to retrieve the resource usage details by the executed SSIS process.
**Please also let me know if the above could be achieved by any other approach.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
