CL_GUI_HTML_VIEWER need to open a different Browser session if one exists

Hi All,
I'm using the class  cl_gui_html_viewer for displaying a PDF in My program. However, if an Internet Explorer Session is already open, the HTLM_VIEWER created in my program is behaving more like a child of the already open browser (In other words, it works like pressing CTRL+N on the original window). But my requirement is to open a new Browser session altogether (Like Opening up another Internet Explorer Session).
The reason i need to have this is because the PDF i display is based on an authenticated login. If a person is already logged in through the Stand alone IE browser, my program should not allow the same user to view it in the browser but authenticate again by prompting for a login. This is achieved by using different Browser sessions (not by CTRL+N).
Please let me know if you have any thoughts on achieving this.
Thanks in advance,
Jr.

where is this PDf coming from, is it from external source thru a url? can you pass uid/pwd to this PDF via url,
if yes, pass a wrong uid/pwd thru the url , every time you load the pdf, in the html viewer control, this would always prompt for authntication box. other option is to delete the sso2 cookie,  you need to find a method to delete the cookie in your local machine created by calling this pdf from standalone browser.

  • Setup for Discoverer to have multiple sessions opening in different browser

What is the setup for Discoverer or Windows 6 browser to have multiple discoverer sessions opening in different browser windows at the same time in Discoverer 10g Plus?
We have implemented Discoverer 10g Plus just to be used as an extract tool. We have some workbooks retrieving 200,000 or more rows from an Oracle database. It is taking 30 to 45 minutes to download. Some users are able to open multiple sessions in different browsers to download more then one worksheet at the time, but we have other users who get an error message that they can only open one session at the time. What is the setup to allow users to open more than one Discoverer session?

    Hi
    I have a Macbook air & iPhone 4.
what do I need to do if I want to buy a book (ebook) or an application that is not available in the iTunes store in my area i.e. Africa (Egypt)?
Do I need to open a different account in the iTunes store in the other area i.e. USA ?
    Please advice
    Thank you

You can only buy content from your own country's store i.e. the Egyptian store if you are in Egypt - you need to be in a country to use its store, so to use the US store you will need to be in the US and have a US billing address on your account. If there is an app or any other item that you would like to be buy that isn't currently available in the Egyptian store then you can try requesting that it be added, but unless the app's developer or rights-holder agrees to it then Apple won't be able to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

  • How to open a previous browsing session?

Is there a way to open a previous browsing session in Safari?
Also wondering if there is a good tutorial for the browser...
    Thanks.

In the History menu there is an item called "Reopen All Windows From Last Session."
As for a tutorial, it works like Safari for OS X mostly, and like other web browsers. Do you have any specific questions about it?
(Safari 3.2 and 3.2.1 on Windows XP has a habit of freezing up on me though.)

Are you also having trouble with Find My iPhone Activation Lock? If so, you cannot bypass it. You will need Apple ID and password used to activate the iPhone originally. You can try this if you have forgotten: https://iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid

  • I want FF to open my last browsing session, but not open tabs unless I choose to

I am re-setting my settings after a FF 'refresh' . I was able to open FF browser & Session Manager would prompt me to open last session, it would open, but not actually 'open' any sites, until I physically clicked on a site (in a tab)...how to I get this option again, please ??
Step by step instructions, please I am a novice, I just cannot remember the name of this option, all I know is that it fits my needs perfectly, and kudos for the person who invented it, it makes my browsing life sooo much easier....I remember when the option first became available, I jumped on it & life has been fantastic ever since. I did a little browsing today whilst waiting for my original question to be answered, & really missed it....
I am running WIN XP PRO SP 3.0 32 bit on a desktop computer.
    Thanks & kind regards
    Sylvia

Thanks so much Mark, I did unintentionally discover this after a lot of hours adding back all the things I lost when I did a 'refresh' of FF...sigh
I am very grateful for your answer, though, as the Question is now in the archives, and that has to be a good thing, as I am not the only novice out there...lol...

  • Need to open Audition version 3 session files in Audition 1.5...

    Hey,
I know it seems like a strange request but I need to open session files that were created on Adobe Audition version 3 on a version 1.5 system, can any body suggest the right format?
    Thanks!

While the 3.0 session files aren't backwards compatible, there are a few options to move information between them.
You could bounce each track down to a new file, then import these raw files into a new Au1.5 session.
The forum's own SuiteSpot has written a powerful session conversion application, which can not only convert between versions of Audition, but all sorts of other DAW formats as well!  Check it out at http://www.aatranslator.com.au/

  • Problem when OPEN a new browser session

    Hi,
I like to open a new browser in my program when user click on the URL.
    I did this:
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler " + URL);
However, it just didn't open the new browser and it used an existing open browser to launch the URL. I just don't want to lose that session.
How could I force to open a brand new window?
Thanks a lot for your help.

I have my browser configured so that requests like that open up in a tab in the existing open browser. I did that because I want it that way. And if I am using your program, I still want it that way and that's all there is to it. It's my computer and my browser and you don't get to override that.
However, if you don't like how it's working on your computer then go ahead and change your browser's setup.

  • Access denied error while running opening remote power-shell session from one azure machine to another

We are trying to open a remote power-shell session from one azure machine to another azure machine and that is failing with the following error. Any ideas?
    Observations: -
If the worker role is running under network service or local system, then it fails.
We emulated the same behavior from a stand-alone exe and that also failed when the exe was run under network service or local system.
If we run the same stand-alone exe from a user account, then it works.

    was related with windows Azure.

  • Opening 2 webapps on different browser session

    Hi friends
I have 2 webapplications deployed in weblogic.
When I use CTRL-N and open a new window for the new browser and access the second application the session in my first application is lost.
If I login to the first application and then come to the second window and try to access the second application I will be logged out from there because I lost the session
I was under the impression that for different webapplications it will maintain different session information , but!!
Do any one know how to over come this
    Thanks in advance
    DN

Its a matter with the whole company ,
I dont have the authority to change it , then again the users will complain , saying that the screen looks different , they are used with IE. some of this users are wokring here for like 15 yrs and they dont like any change. But they want everything to work on their convenience.
One user was asking me ,quote -"why cant you design the applications like normal applications so that I dont have to go to the favorites and access the application, I like to access the applications using the desktop shortcut which I am used to"
I have added the links for the applications in the IE favorites and asked them to access it like that after opening the new session
I can imagine your case when it goes to construction contractors!
    All the best

  • Frequently, when waking the computer up from Standby and opening a new browsing session, I get a message that Firefox is already running and needs to be closed, even though it was closed during the previous session. I use Task Manager to close it.

  • How to create a different browser session within the same profile

Internet Explorer 8 lets you create a new session within a new browser window but how can I do the same with Firefox? I know if you switch user profiles then you can have two browsers in different sessions but I would like to have two sessions using the same user profile.

Sorry, that's not possible with Firefox. Firefox uses a single executable instance to run all windows and tabs, where IE starts another process for each window. Chrome uses a separate process for each tab (or window), which seems real nice until it sucks the life out of an older processor with the "overhead" of all those separate processes.
Depending upon what you want a "different session" for, there are 3 extensions that allow for multiple cookie sessions which allow for multiple, simultaneous logins to the same server. That works to allow the user to log into multiple webmail accounts at the same service provider. <br />
