Claim and Approval action giving abnormal behavior in worklist app in oim11gr2.

hi guys
we have following environment...
weblogic 10.3.6 and oim 11g r2 bp03 in two node clustered environment which are load balanced with apache http server, everything was working fine with initially configured oim front end url wls.mycompany.com:80,Then we were forced to change the oimfront end url to identity.mycompany.com:80 by following
1.oim config change
2.call back url and worklist app changes in approval task of each composites in soa-infra
Observed following abnormality behavior in approval workflow of application instance provisioning after oimfrontend url change.
when approver click on approval task ,the claim action popup window displayed successfully
when approver claim the action and it completes and popup window persist there with blank display(Observed a chopping  of  front end url from  identity.mycompany.com/identity/faces/...... to www.identity.com/faces/.........Then approver needs to close the popup).
when approver click on approval task the approve action popup window displayed successfully
when approver approve the action and it completes and popup window persist there with blank display(Observed a chopping  of  front end url from  identity.mycompany.com/identity/faces/...... to www.identity.com/faces/.......Then approver needs to close the popup).
Application instance provisioning is working fine even though the above abnormal behavior was there...
Why this url change is happening and How can we fix the abnormal url change from identity.mycompany.com/identity/faces/......  to   www.identiy.com/faces/...... ?

Jdev

  • SOA 11g Worklist Apps Customisation and Integration with Plumtree Portal

    Hi,
We want to migrate an existing application build using SOA Suite 10.1.3.3 to 11.1.1.2.0.
In the 10g application the worklist application was customised and the customised apps was linked as a remote portlet in BEA Plumtree Portal.
1)In 10g the worklist application source code is available (\SOA_Oracle_Home\bpel\samples\hw\worklistapp) for customisation but is that possible for 11g ?
(The location of the default deployed worklist apps in 11g is /../mdw_home/user_projects/domains/soa_domain/servers/soa_server1/tmp/_WL_user/worklistapp).
Can we take the source code and customize in jdev and deploy under a different contextname in 11g??
3)Our existing 10g worklist was customised a bit in terms of look and feel and for some custom authentication and it was deployed in the 10g SOA Server.
A sample jsp application was created and the login page of the custom worklist apps was linked in a inframe so that it works when integrated with the Plumtree portal as a remote portlet. And this worked perfectly in 10.1.3.3 SOA Suite.
However the 11g SOA worklist login when tagged in a jsp as an inframe in plumtree portal is giving a warning message
Warning: Unable to load content in a frame. Frame content will load at the top level. On cliicking the OK button the worklist page is opening. This is with Firefox browser . however form IE7 or 8 its timing out from portal.
    As per http://newsoalife.blogspot.in/2009/09/framebusing-in-adf.html
changing the web.xml for the worklist can help.
Can anyone please let us know on the same as this appeas an unsupported one.

  • Workflow step (Approve Action) calling custom Java Service and "passing params"

    Good Afternoon, Fellow Coders!
Normally I research and do proof of concepts until I find a solution but given super tight deadlines, I just don't have time - so I need your help.
I am trying to have an Workflow Approve Action (Workflow Exit Event idocScript call) call a Custom Component (Java Service) AND "pass" some kind of parameters (bare minimum dDocName)
    In a perfect world it would be as simple as:    processContentInfo(String dDocName, String xMyCode1, String xMyCode2);
But since I am calling the Java Service from idocScript (via executeService) I cannot directly pass params via the API.
Is there a simple way to do this??
It seems like if you can't directly pass params you could at least set them in the managed container (m_binder) and just know to pick them up on the Java side via some DataBinder like m_binder.getLocal(
Am I missing a simple idocScript function that will let you do this?
Note: I am NOT executing the Service from a URL so the normal ?param1&param2 -> m_binder.getLocal  solution is no good.
Also, Bex's book warns about Service Classes "not easily being able to call other UCM Services"....  My Custom Service needs to do exactly that (as well as JDBC and other stuff). Is this really an issue??
Seems like as long as I have dDocName I could use RIDC to hit whatever I want as long as I know how to use a binder, etc - is there some mystic nuance that prevents this?  Or was he just saying it's hard UNLESS you know RIDC well??
Any and all quality advice is appreciated!  And please, try to give me a detailed answer as opposed to something vague like "try a Service Handler", I need something I can quickly digest.
    Thanks in advance!

You can set parameters for the service call by setting Idoc Script variables before you call executeService.
    <$dDocName="TEST12345"$>
    <$param1="09876"$>
    <$param2="ABCDEFG"$>
These variables are then available via the service DataBinder.
Here is information about how to execute a service from a custom component. There should not be any issues doing this.

  • In approval workflow, can we have one action in which item can be review and approve/reject

    Hello,
I have created approval workflow using SPD.
While sending notification to approver, we need to mention link for viewing : [%TaskProcess:Item Title%][%Variable:InternetLink%] and for approve/reject : [%current task: form_URN%]
So is it possible to have one link, where reviewer can review document and approve or reject it. he/she should not have to go again to mail and click on another link.

  • Can I use photoshop text styles and photoshop actions with creative cloud photography?

I'm really confused by this subscription pricing. If I purchase the $9.99/month, do I get the full desktop app of Photoshop and Lightroom? But I see on this page Products they list something called Photoshop CC that costs twice as much. How is that different from the Creative Cloud Photography?
My main question is whether I can use photoshop text styles and photoshop actions with Creative Cloud Photography, since I just purchased a bundle that includes these and I want to be able to use them. But I'd also like to understand what comes with all of the various products and how they are different.
My other question is how is Lightroom different from Photoshop? I have a sense of what you can do in Photoshop but I don't know much about Lightroom at all.
One more question: the free trial -- is it limited in any way besides the time length? If I do that, will I get a clear idea of all that I will be able to do once I subscribe, or are the functions limited in the trial?
I tried to just send an email to Adobe to ask these questions but apparently they are not interested in responding to emails from people who are not yet paying customers, so I was directed here. Thanks very much for your help!

I always like to trot this bit about Bridge once in a while or in the voice of the "Two Bobs" from Office Space,
"Can you tell us exactly what it is you do around here?"
    What Adobe Bridge does:
Bridge is the coordinating hub of the Creative Suite. Synchronizing color management settings for all suite programs is done from Bridge, and can only be done from Bridge, to take one important use.
Bridge displays actual thumbnails of many more file types than Finder or Explorer. It also allows instant play of sound or video files more readily than the native OS file managers.
Bridge allows direct access to file metadata, to embed copyright information  and keywords where appropriate (e.g., for corporate logo vector and raster files). It also displays the fonts used in an InDesign file, the swatches in an INDD or AI and the output plates (including spot color plates) they use.
When managing the assets for a design project, Bridge allows quick and simple sorting, rating and custom labeling (with color flash indications) of assets. I can rate images according to whether they are rejects, possibles, for review by client, or approved. The filters built into Bridge allow instant isolation of only the approved images or designs in a folder, only the rejects (for deletion) or only files with certain ratings, no matter how many files it contains. It recognizes aspect ratios, so if I only need a landscape or a 16:9 image in a folder of hundreds of images, I turn off the aspect ratios I don't need.
Once filtered, the remaining visible files can be selected and copied, moved, or deleted without affecting the rest of the contents of a folder.
Collections are a massively useful feature. One of my clients is a performing arts center, and in a season we turn out dozens of ads, flyers, brochures, web banners, playbills, billboards and other collateral using the same assets over and over. These assets are organized by artist and/or show on disk, but I set up each season's repeating assets as a Collection in Bridge, so that I just have to open the collection and drag and drop these assets into new INDD, AI, PSD, HTML (in Dreamweaver), FLA or AE projects without having to navigate from folder to folder picking up individual files.
Bridge's Favorites is another place I stack frequently-accessed folders, such as stock photography, backgrounds, and top-level folders for active projects.
Assets can be divided into subfolders, but a quick toggle of "Show items from subfolders" exposes all of the assets in a single view while maintaining their organization. I will typically keep AIs, PSDs, EPSs, stock photography and client images in separate subfolders within a project. When I'm ready to start pulling assets into an InDesign layout, I toggle this on and simply drag what I need into the layout.
Bridge comes with Adobe Camera Raw built in, which is many times faster than using Photoshop to adjust jpegs or tiffs for things like tonal range, white balance, cropping, spotting and sharpening, and is non-destructive.
One tremendously useful Bridge function for InDesign CS5+ users is the "Show linked files" feature, which opens all the linked files in a layout into a single view, regardless of where they are physically located. I often use this when doing alternative layouts from a client-approved mockup for a campaign, to be certain the same assets are used in each piece, or when creating a motion graphic or interactive piece for the campaign in After Effects or Flash.
The batch and image processing scripts built into Bridge automate things like creating web-ready small jpegs from multiple images, renaming large numbers of files in place or by copying to an alternative location, creating sets of PSD, png, jpeg or other file types from an assortment of image files, and so on.
Bridge is so much a part of my daily workflow that on my main workstation I have one monitor dedicated to it almost 100%. Bridge just sits open 24/7, ready for use. I would run at half speed without it, no question.

  • How to track agents and there actions at all levels in a workflow

    Hi All,
We have a requiement where in the task description we are
required to give the details of the people who had executed the workflow and the action they have taken.
That is suppose  a user approves or rejects a workiitem.
Then the another user who recieves the workitem should know
who the previous users were and what action they had taken
The previous agent who executed the work item can be identified, but we don't know how to identify what action did the previous user has taken.
    Thanks and Regards
    Shraddha

You can make use of WI_ACTUAL_AGENT container element of the respective task container in order to know who has executed the last workitem.

    Hi Anjan,
You can try to set the FND: View Object Max Fetch Size to a value that would allow more data to be returned. However, be aware that this can cause performance issues.

  • SaaS Sharepoint, ADFS claims and internal AD-CA: How to disable CRL check in Sharepoint?

    Hi all,
We have an external SaaS provider with a Sharepoint 2010 server. In our AD, there is an ADFS server providing ADFS claims to Sharepoint and thus giving SSO functionality. For the ADFS service and its token-signing and encrypting, there is one certificate
drawn from an internal AD Enterprise CA server.
The problem is that, when the company user opens the Sharepoint URL, it is extreamly slow to open, however it does eventualy open. The SaaS provider has indicated its an issue with the CRL checking. I know on other Microsoft products there are ways to disable
CRL checking but haven't found such information for sharepoint.
We have provided the CRL files and the provider has added these and for as long as they are valid things work as expected. However the CRL then expires and we are back to square one.
    Can anyone help?
I have found this question has been asked before here:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/431bae5c-c502-4723-9de7-663abd46658e/saas-sharepoint-adfs-claims-and-internal-adca-how-to-disable-crl-check-in-sharepoint?forum=sharepointgeneralprevious
Unfortunately the answer doesn't satisfy my situation. Also not sure I agree that self signed certificates should be used and it's quite a topic for debate in ADFS circles... However in my situation we don't have the option to change ADFS to use self signed
certificates as the ADFS service is in use with 12+ other service providers all who have no issue using the Token Signing Certificate even though they cant access the CRL either.
    Thanks for your help,
    James

    Hi,
As I understand, you want to disable CRL check in SharePoint.
    There are four workarounds:
    1. Give your servers an outbound Internet connection
    2. Edit the hosts file at “%SYSTEMROOT%\\System32\\drivers\\etc\\hosts” to fool the CRL check into thinking your local machine is crl.microsoft.com by pointing it at 127.0.0.1 (localhost).
    3. Edit the registry to disable CRL checking by setting the State DWORD to 146944 decimal (SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\WinTrust\\Trust Providers\\Software Publishing for both HKEY_USERS\\.DEFAULT and HKEY_CURRENT_USER) PowerShell.
    4. Edit the machine.configs and disable it there.
The article gives you the details about the four workaround.

  • Unable to Reserve and Approve the Scheduled Releases in 11.5.10.2 version

    Hi All,
We are newly implementing the Planned PO’s for our client. Now we are successfully reserve and approve the Planned PO’s using the Position Hierarchy but when we try to reserve and the approve the scheduled releases using the same Position Hierarchy here the Approve button is frozen, but from Tools we are able to check the funds.
EX: A, B, C are in the position Hierarchy
    1. A is forwarding the document to B
    2. B is able to open the Scheduled document from the Notifications but here when he try’s to reserve and approve the document here the Approve button is Frozen.
Note: if B is approving the document from Notifications the document is sending to the next manager and he is able to approve the document but in action history for reserve it’s showing the ‘C’ name instead of ‘B’.
Can any one help me on this issue ASAP?

    Hi,
Performing your action plan by copying all the files from AU_TOP to my local machine and then try to open the INVIDITM.fmb but still the same problem.
Is this the problem of forms version or some thing else?
Because I am able to able the POXPOEPO.fmb( Purchase Order form ) in the same version and do the customization as per requirement.
Could you please suggest any other alternative solution?

  • CUP e-mail notifications + submit and approve requests

    Hi experts,
I configured the workflows in CUP and now im trying to configure the email notifications . The CAD's that I've set are:
    1. Request Petitioner
    2. Internal Control
    3. Security
and the approver determinator for each stage are:
    1. Petitioner
    2. Internal Control
    3. Security
So, I need to know two thinks:
    1. Could the person who submits a request, send it and approve with a single mouse click?  given that the same person must submit a request and then approve it, would it be possible to perform both actions at once?
    2. I would like to set e-mail notifications to the appropiate role owner, it 's possible? The problem is that we don´t set the role owners like approvers determinator.
    Thanks in advance
    Marta

    Hi Marta,
In answer to question #1:  You could possibly achieve this by changing your workflow but I do not think you want to do so.  You would have to guarantee that submission was always done by those that approve the first stage in you workflow.
Question #2:  I am not sure I understand what you would like to do.  From what you state, I am assuming the Role approvers are stored in the Role file (CUP >> Configuration Tab >> Roles >> Search Roles/Create Roles) and not in a CAD.   Are you looking to personalize the email for each role approver so he/she knows exactly which of his/her roles are in the request to approve from the email notification?

  • How to find Latch and what actions need to be taken when there is a latch

    Hi
Can you please tell me how to find Latch and what actions need to be taken when there is a latch?
    Thanks
    Regards,
    RJ.

    1. What is a latch?
Latches are low level serialization mechanisms used to protect shared
data structures in the SGA. The implementation of latches is operating
system dependent, particularly in regard to whether a process will wait
for a latch and for how long.
A latch is a type of a lock that can be very quickly acquired and freed.
Latches are typically used to prevent more than one process from
executing the same piece of code at a given time. Associated with each
latch is a cleanup procedure that will be called if a process dies while
holding the latch. Latches have an associated level that is used to
prevent deadlocks. Once a process acquires a latch at a certain level it
cannot subsequently acquire a latch at a level that is equal to or less
than that level (unless it acquires it nowait).
    2. Latches vs Enqueues
Enqueues are another type of locking mechanism used in Oracle.
An enqueue is a more sophisticated mechanism which permits several concurrent
processes to have varying degree of sharing of "known" resources. Any object
which can be concurrently used, can be protected with enqueues. A good example
is of locks on tables. We allow varying levels of sharing on tables e.g.
two processes can lock a table in share mode or in share update mode etc.
One difference is that the enqueue is obtained using an OS specific
locking mechanism. An enqueue allows the user to store a value in the lock,
i.e the mode in which we are requesting it. The OS lock manager keeps track
of the resources locked. If a process cannot be granted the lock because it
is incompatible with the mode requested and the lock is requested with wait,
the OS puts the requesting process on a wait queue which is serviced in FIFO.
Another difference between latches and enqueues is that
in latches there is no ordered queue of waiters like in enqueues. Latch
waiters may either use timers to wakeup and retry or spin (only in
multiprocessors). Since all waiters are concurrently retrying (depending on
the scheduler), anyone might get the latch and conceivably the first one to
try might be the last one to get.
    3. When do we need to obtain a latch?
A process acquires a latch when working with a structure in the SGA
(System Global Area). It continues to hold the latch for the period
of time it works with the structure. The latch is dropped when the
process is finished with the structure. Each latch protects a different
set of data, identified by the name of the latch.
Oracle uses atomic instructions like "test and set" for operating on latches.
Processes waiting to execute a part of code for which a latch has
already been obtained by some other process will wait until the
latch is released. Examples are redo allocation latches, copy
latches, archive control latch etc. The basic idea is to block concurrent
access to shared data structures. Since the instructions to
set and free latches are atomic, the OS guarantees that only one process gets
it. Since it is only one instruction, it is quite fast. Latches are held
for short periods of time and provide a mechanism for cleanup in case
a holder dies abnormally while holding it. This cleaning is done using
    the services of PMON.
    4. Latches request modes?
Latches request can be made in two modes: "willing-to-wait" or "no wait". Normally,
latches will be requested in "willing-to-wait" mode. A request in "willing-to-wait" mode
will loop, wait, and request again until the latch is obtained. In "no wait" mode the process
request the latch. If one is not available, instead of waiting, another one is requested. Only
when all fail does the server process have to wait.
Examples of "willing-to-wait" latches are: shared pool and library cache latches
A example of "no wait" latches is the redo copy latch.
    5. What causes latch contention?
If a required latch is busy, the process requesting it spins, tries again
and if still not available, spins again. The loop is repeated up to a maximum
number of times determined by the initialization parameter SPINCOUNT.
If after this entire loop, the latch is still not available, the process must yield
the CPU and go to sleep. Initially is sleeps for one centisecond. This time is
    doubled in every subsequent sleep.
This causes a slowdown to occur and results in additional CPU usage,
until a latch is available. The CPU usage is a consequence of the
"spinning" of the process. "Spinning" means that the process continues to
look for the availability of the latch after certain intervals of time,
    during which it sleeps.
    6. How to identify contention for internal latches?
Relevant data dictionary views to query
    V$LATCH
    V$LATCHHOLDER
    V$LATCHNAME
Each row in the V$LATCH table contains statistics for a different type
of latch. The columns of the table reflect activity for different types
of latch requests. The distinction between these types of requests is
whether the requesting process continues to request a latch if it
    is unavailable:
willing-to-wait If the latch requested with a willing-to-wait
request is not available, the requesting process
waits a short time and requests the latch again.
The process continues waiting and requesting until
    the latch is available.
no wait If the latch requested with an immediate request is
not available, the requesting process does not
    wait, but continues processing.
    V$LATCHNAME key information:
GETS Number of successful willing-to-wait requests for
    a latch.
MISSES Number of times an initial willing-to-wait request
    was unsuccessful.
SLEEPS Number of times a process waited a requested a latch
    after an initial wiling-to-wait request.
IMMEDIATE_GETS Number of successful immediate requests for each latch.
IMMEDIATE_MISSES Number of unsuccessful immediate requests for each latch.
    Calculating latch hit ratio
To get the Hit ratio for latches apply the following formula:
    "willing-to-wait" Hit Ratio=(GETS-MISSES)/GETS
    "no wait" Hit Ratio=(IMMEDIATE_GETS-IMMEDIATE_MISSES)/IMMEDIATE_GETS
This number should be close to 1. If not, tune according to the latch name
    7. Useful SQL scripts to get latch information
    ** Display System-wide latch statistics.
column name format A32 truncate heading "LATCH NAME"
    column pid heading "HOLDER PID"
    select c.name,a.addr,a.gets,a.misses,a.sleeps,
    a.immediate_gets,a.immediate_misses,b.pid
    from v$latch a, v$latchholder b, v$latchname c
    where a.addr = b.laddr(+)
    and a.latch# = c.latch#
    order by a.latch#;
** Given a latch address, find out the latch name.
column name format a64 heading 'Name'
    select a.name from v$latchname a, v$latch b
    where b.addr = '&addr'
    and b.latch#=a.latch#;
** Display latch statistics by latch name.
column name format a32 heading 'LATCH NAME'
    column pid heading 'HOLDER PID'
    select c.name,a.addr,a.gets,a.misses,a.sleeps,
    a.immediate_gets,a.immediate_misses,b.pid
    from v$latch a, v$latchholder b, v$latchname c
    where a.addr = b.laddr(+) and a.latch# = c.latch#
    and c.name like '&latch_name%' order by a.latch#;
    8. List of all the latches
Oracle versions might differ in the latch# assigned to the existing latches.
The following query will help you to identify all latches and the number assigned.
column name format a40 heading 'LATCH NAME'
    select latch#, name from v$latchname;

  • BIWS abnormal behavior

    Hi Friends
Currently we are working on  SAP BW 7.4,BO 4.1,Dashboards 4.1 environment
1)Bex query based BO Webi Report is designed and running fine with 4 blocks
2)4-Blocks based 4-BIWS are used to design Dashboard
3)When dashboard is previewed for 1st time any 1BIWS will return data but not other 3 and in 2nd refesh any 3-BIWS returns data but not 1-BIWS
Could any one suggest the probable reason behind this abnormal behavior

    Hi Bose,
This was a bug and is fixed in BI 4.1 SP 5 Patch 3.After appying this patch follow the step in  KBA as below
You can follow the KBA 2114577 - Dashboard is randomly not complete when consuming multiple
different "Document As A Web Service" web services
