Clarification required regarding Destinations

Hi Experts,
I have a doubt regarding the security of destinations for WSIL, WSDL and RFC.
Whenever we create the destinations for WSIL, WSDL and RFC, in the security part we select the "User ID / Password" mechanism and enter the user ID and password (Administrator in case of SAP WebAS and for ECC <superadmin> ID)
Can we use a different ID for both these systems while creating the Logical Destinations?
If Yes, please let me know the minimum Authorizations required for the User ID and the steps.

  • Clarification required regarding the "Maintain" in Info object

    Hi,
I had created a characteristic infoobject and found Sid table, Text table, P table(Time independent) master data table,
Q table(Time dependent) master data table and a view M (mater data view) getting generated.
The view M was combination of both P and Q tables. I wanted to maintain the master data manually hence
I entered the values through the button "Maintain".  I was able to enter values and save the values and i was able to see that
the entered values are getting reflected in both of the P table and T table.
Just want to know, what does "Maintain" button does, i am able to understand that it updates both T and P table.
Technically what is "Maintain" button, is it a routine or a function module to update two tables? or something else?.
Please give me a clear picture on that. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Lakshminarasimhan.N

Hi Lakshminarasimhan, to be honest I haven't tried to take a look on this topic technically yet but I believe that there is a maintenance view generated over this database view - M table. You can check it via TA SE11 in menu Utilities->Maintenance view generator.
    Hope this helps a bit.

  • Clarification required regarding support packages SAP_HR & SAP_HRCIN

    hi all,
SAP is releasing their support-packs/correction-notes for two components namely SAP_HR & SAP_HRCIN. We use to download and update the support-packs/correction-notes released for SAP_HR component only. Please let me know what is this SAP_HRCIN for. Do we need to update the support-pack/correction-notes released for this component too. My company uses India Payroll, ECC6.0.
    please advise.

  • Clarification required regarding Flex Server

    hi
I have been studying about the new flex 2 technology and have
downloaded the flex builder 2trail. I am able to build flex
application successfully and also have been able to deploy it on
Windows Office live . But i am very much confused about Flex Server
facility. First of all is Flex Server and Flex Data Services the
same. In the documentation provided in the Adobe website the Flex
server is said to be used to compile the mxml to appropriate swf,
but i have not downloaded any Flex server then how am i able to
compile the mxml to flash application.
Can some one plz give me a more clear idea about Flex Server
or give some useful link to read about it.

Be happy to clear this up:
Flex 2 SDK (software development kit) is the Flex user
interface (we call it the 'framework') and the mxmlc and compc
compilers. This is free. It enables you to use HTTPService and
    WebServices.
Flex Builder 2 is Eclipse (or a plug-in for Eclipse) and
includes the Flex 2 SDK. Which means it comes with the compilers.
Flex Server is part of Flex Data Services. Flex Server
includes Flex 2 SDK and allows you to deploy MXML and AS source
files to your web server so that when the main MXML file is
requested, it will be dynamically compiled into a SWF. We call this
    the 'web tier' compiler.
Flex Data Services also includes Flex Data Management and
    Messaging.
In addition to these there is also Flex Charting and the
    ColdFusion 7.0.2 Flex Connectivity Kit.

    please guide me

Avoid SMS type words which are not allowed here

    Dear abdulshaik ,
I hope for this requirement we can achevie by "invoice list" configuration.
    1. Condition type RL00 (factoring discount) must be maintained and, if required, also the condition type MW15.
    2. An invoice list type must be assigned to each billing type that you want to process in invoice lists. The standard version of the SAP R/3 System includes two types of invoice lists: LR for invoices and debit memos, LG for credit memos.
    3. Copying requirements must be defined (for example, the payer, terms of payment and other fields that must be identical in the documents to be included in the invoice list).
    4. Copy controls must be maintaine for Commertial invoice and invoice list document.

  • Clarification required on the Sales area data information.

    Hi Master's,
As per the standard taxation practice,Tax determination depends upon the Tax liability of a Shipt to Party.
But in a Customer master The Tax classification is maintained in the SALES AREA DATA-BILLING TAB,To my understanding
the Billing Tab data comes from Sold to party. If so how does Billing tab convey the Tax liability of Ship to party.
I am Confused, please let me know in terms of Customer master and Partner types:
    1) Which Tabs under the sales data  i.e Shipping Billing...come from which Partner.i.e like Sold to party.
(Clarification required on the Sales area data information coming from which Partner functions).
    Please suggest,

(Clarification required on the Sales area data information coming from which Partner functions).
There is no need of any confusion here
All the tabs and data or fields pertains sold to party only
If for a sold to party say 1001 if he himself is going to be SH and PY and BP then there is no confusion
If  for a sold to party say 1001 the ship to party is 1002 and PY is 1003 and bill to party is himself that is 1001
This is what mentioned  or assigned in the partner functions of CMR of 1001 in the sales area data
This means there are another CMR lies in the name of 1002 and 1003
Whenever an order comes for 1001 as Sold to party for tax classifications the ship to paty 1002's master record is accessed by the system
System accesses another record for a particular detail (tax details)
Similarly for this customer 1001's order for payment terms 1003's CMR is accessed by the system
System accesses another record for a particular detail ( for terms of payment)
There is no need for any confusion and if you run this in the system with different data you will understand it much better

  • Clarification Required in MD04 regarding PO qty.

    Hi,
For raw material XXXXXXX, there is one open purchase order XXXXXX item 10, the open qty is 1pcs, and the total PO qty is 1040pcs. But when I check in MD04, we can not find this open PO qty? Also let me know how many open PO qty will be shown in MD04?
    Cheers,
    Kumar.S

    Hi,
Whatever open PO qty system should show you in MD04 screen.
Your Prchase order XXXXXX is 10 PC.
    Open qty -1 PC
Then you are saying total PO qty is 10410 PC. ( From where you got this data for PO qty 1040 PC .)
If any thing PO available in system should show you in MD04 screen.
Sp please check PO qty 1040 PC because may be this qty may have procesed earlier.
Just elaborate for more clarity of tour query.

  • RFC destinations for CUA - clarification required.

    Greetings, Gurus!
I'm in the planning-going-testing phase of CUA implementation for our landscape, and it appears I've run into something of a snag.
According to everything I've read, including various SAPnotes and documentation available in SAP Library, I understand that it is not possible to configure the CUA to use specific RFC destinations. Instead, CUA will attempt to use an RFC destination that has the same name as the logical system it is calling. I.e. central system ADMCLNT070 is making an RFC call in context of CUA to PRDCLNT510, for this purpose, RFC destination named PRDCLNT510 will be used.
Q1: Have I understood this correctly?
Q2: Is there any way to specify an RFC destination I want to use?
    Thanks for your time!

would like yiu to go through the below link too,
As the complication of using diffrent name and etc has been mentioned, and fixing has been hit and trial method for me when i did it..

  • Urgent requirement - Regarding a dump

    Hi experts,
I have written a program which changes the status of a contract from 'Released' or 'completed' to 'Expired'. The program is supposed to run in the background.
The problem is, while writing it I tested in the development server with few test cases and it was working fine both in dialog mode and background mode. But when it is executed in the background mode in testing server, it is throwing a dump showing some Java related error after 3000secs/30000secs, i.e., after some limited no. of seconds.
    What could be the problem.
Please help. It's an urgent issue.

  • Show ip cef switching statistic output - some clarifications required

    Good morning, everyone!
I need some clarifications regarding ouput of show ip cef switching statistic on Catalyst 6k and some entries apply to other platforms as well. Consider output:
    #show ip cef switching statistics

    Questions are:
    1) What the difference between rows
    RP LES No adjacency
    RP LES Incomplete adjacency
    RP LES Neighbor resolution req
    2) What the difference between rows
    RP LES No route
    RP LES Unresolved route
    3) What does mean collum name - Punt2Host?
I will higly aprecciate your answers! Thnx in advance.

So far I partially have found answer on first question.
RP LES Neighbor resolution req - here counted packets that have no adjacency and they are punted to arp request to send.
RP LES No adjacency  - after ARP request sent throttling adjacency is installed for this destination for 2 seconds and all subsequent packets get drop.  Those packets are counted here.
RP LES Incomplete adjacency - here packets counted which matches to incomplete adjacencies. Which are stays in adjacency table marked incomplete - as i understand it can happen after arp entry aged out. But those adjacencies must be deleted as well, but as i can see in my environment some of them stays for a while, i am a bit confused here.

  • Help Required - Regarding New Implementation

    Hello Experts,
Implementing a new SAP ... and got bit confused about the April 1 opening balances and March closure.
On 1st March 2014 we entered the following Opening Balances -
    1. Open POs
    2. Open Sales Orders
    3. Stock Opening Balances
Then for the month of March we have been running SAP and the legacy system in parallel , making the following transactions –
    1.       Sales Order (Invoiced in March only)
    2.       Deliveries
    3.       All AR Invoices
    4.       All Purchase Orders
    5.       All GRNs
    6.       All AP Invoices
    7.       No Bank receipts or payments were created. End of the month both AR and AP invoices will be Open for bank receipts and payments respectively.
The main question is which transactions need to be created/ closed to have opening balances in SAP.
    (In other words ...
What is required now to create the correct opening balances? Can we close the invoices, both sales and purchases, without creating receipts and payments, respectively?
How do we need to enter the customer and supplier opening balances when we have already created all the invoices for the month of march?)
Your help will be much appreciated...
    Thank you.
    Best Regards

    and following multiple blogs
    BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT
these blogs and website are not very much responsive .. I've very less time .. I need urgent reply for my problems that I'm facing throwout development
    I've Installed
    Jdeveloper 1.1.1.1.6.0
    Xe 11g db 11.2.0.2.0
    WebCenter Portal Development Framework
As I mention I've NOT MORE THAN 12 days, Please respond to My REQUEST .. Also Refer me To a PERSON WHO CAN HELP ME FOR ABOUT 10 days
    and
share me BLOGS / WEBSITE / REFERENCE MARTIAL .. that will help me
one of problem is that I think DEV schema is Created when we install RCU , I've Created UCM and PORTAL schema through RCU .. But mistalenly I've Removed the DEV schema as well
    and facing the below problem
I’ve Created DEV , UCM and PORTAL schema from RCU. and Then try to install UCM ,when schema password screen appear for LOGIN and Create weblogic domain , It tell me INCORRECT PASSWORD, SO , I’ve DROP these 3 schema using RCU , during DROP schema, different errors appeared , and I’ve DELETED the middle ware\rcu_Home folder and Unzip the rcu.rar fresh file to the same directory
    NOW
when I RUN rcu.bat and selected CREATE SCHEMA then RCU WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO CREATE SCHEMA FOR PORTAL , DEV , UCM ..and also they appear in combo box to select
    BUT I’ve ALREADY DROP THAT
I think it only droped not DELETED
tell me the sqlplus commands fro DELETE schema. and also tell if it is DANGEROUS to delete some schema(example DEV schema) as I’m developing portal via WEB CENTER -Jdeveloper(integrated weblogic) , Xe , RCU, UCM )

NO Sir I have to deliver some functionality (basic functionality) on 5 Nov. and then they'll give us 1 more month if our work is satisfactory
AND I'm not a very Beginner to ADF and WebCenter ..I've Installed the environment and Following Yanic website and parallel implementing my requirement .. It is rapid app dev. I think I cant develop satisfactory app in hours if any I can tell me that HOW TO IMPLEMENT THAT SPECIFIC Requirement AND FEATURE .. its easy I think ..and I will InshaALLAH .. its do or die for me
Sir in 1 day I can finalize and develop UI ..(JSF pages and this bindings and template )
for its Content I was Started UCM and then I stuck ,
I Basically need to provide JSF Pages and portlets for Users (Student groups - Project Supervisors - Project Coordinator )
I have to create Users and their Pages(Project Coordinator - Project Supervisor and STUDENT Group's)
1)Project Coordinator is the Head Who Allocated Project Supervisors to the Student Group in response to Messages(sent from the portlet at home page)from the students that desire to make group and want desire supervisor . in response to this message the Supervisor can Reply and ASK FOR MEETING and the the coordinator has the authority to ALLOCATE
2)Project Coordinator Create PLAN (1 year Plan) in tabular form (for example Project Group Supervisor and Its STUDENT GROUP has to Deliver 20 MILESTONE Deliverable throughout the year(Project group Supervisor can Divide Each MILESTONE into TASK and SUB TASKS...and Student Group has to Upload )
Supervisor can give the task to student group and student group has to upload /Submit the required Deliverable /(task file ) supervisor within the given period MARK THIS TASK AS AN OK AND GIVE ANOTHER TASK OR ASK FOR METING
    in this way We achieve/provide
Provide Central Repository for the Whole Software Projects that are Valuable ..
    ALSO DOCUMENT TRACEABILITY is achieved
Workflow management (Task given and submission and meetings and attendance etc)
This Functionality plus Basic ADF and WebCenter built in Functionality can also improve Collaboration and Productivity and Performance
I've very less time AND willing to work.... waiting for Help and suggestions

  • Help required  regarding ObjectValueSelector

    Hi all,
I have a requirement like this, in my View I have 2 DropDownByKeys  and 1 input field. The inputfield should be empty and the 2 DropDoenByKeys shud be populated with the data from backend, when I click on save button, the data shud be saved in the backend with the given values. I have a Bapi which have all these fields and will also save to the database.
How to do this appl? Give me development procedure step-wise and also suggest me where and what code shud be written. Its urgent. Plz someone share your knowledge.
    regards,
    Datta Saru
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi ,
You can populate dropdown values from BAPI using the following steps. I assume you have idea about custom controller.
    step1:
Create custom controller.Inside custom controller Bind input value then execute BAPI.
    step2:
Now you have value node which is returned from BAPI. After execute BAPI you can find size using the following code. create value node and model node object using the code.
    Step3:
    <custom controller name>.IRole_ResultNode modelnode=wdContext.nodeRole_Result();
    <custom controller name>.IRole_OutputNode valuenode=wdContext.nodeRole_Output();
    valuenode.invalidate();
    int size=modelnode.size();
    Step4:
After find size using loop fetch values from model node into value node.Asume in this value node contains key and value.
    for(int x=0;x<modelnode.size();x++){
    <custom controller name>.IRole_ResultElement modelElement=modelnode.getRole_ResultElementAt(x);
    <custom controller name>.IRole_OutputElement valueElement=wdContext.createRole_OutputElement();
    valueElement.setId(modelElement.getKey());
    valueElement.setText(modelElement.getValue());
    valuenode.addElement(valueElement);
    step5:
After that bind this value node(Role_Output) into Component controller. Then Bind value node(Role_Output) from component controller into view.
    Step6:
Finally bind dropdown UI Element into Role_Output node's attribute(ID).
    Kind Regards,

  • Need Clarification  required for Shipping Type Fields in Transportation

    HI
I am New to transportation module , i come to know that shipping document is controlled by shipping Type if i am wrong correct me ?
when i click the shipping Type i have seen so many fields in that few fields i didn't understand few field which i mentioned below
Service Level , Process control , Leg Indicator, adopt route , Determine Leg , Shipping Type Preliminary leg and sub.leg Shipping point
I know may be it is a basic question please don't lock the thread and also i searched in the Google
Difference between stage and leg in shipping & transportation?
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPLO/Transportation354
I tried to understand by using F1 functionality but  i couldn't able to understand clearly .Can anyone  guide me how it is useful in a real time scenarios and where and how it is impact
    Regards,
    Prasanna

Service Level - You can differentiate the type of shipment like Load, General Cargo, Express Cargo etc.,
Process Control - Just press F1 and read "Examples"
Leg Indicator - If the cargo goes directly from origin to destination with one shipment document, then you can assign Direct Leg.  If multiple transportation is involved and in each and every stage, if you want to generate shipment document, then you have to assign Preliminary Leg, Main Leg and Subsequent leg
    Adopt route -  Press F1
Determine legs - Press F1 and go through Explanation of Leg Determination Procedure  as it is very difficult to explain
Long time back, I have handled this and hence, not able to give examples against each.  Will think of and update in case anything comes to my mind.

  • Clarification required in Script Logic

    Hi All,
I had written a Script logic which copies the data from one dimension member of entity to another entity.
The script that we used is pasted here for reference:
"//Logic for Revenue Transfer for one account to account
    *XDIM_MEMBERSET CATEGORY = BUDGET
    *XDIM_MEMBERSET P_ACCT = REV000003, REV000007, REV000008
    *XDIM_MEMBERSET P_ACTIVITY = P_ACTIVITY_NONE
    *XDIM_MEMBERSET P_DATASRC = U
    *XDIM_MEMBERSET ENTITY = U_RCL_INP, U_MFG_INP, U_FSI_INP, U_ECS_INP, U_KS_INP, U_INDIA_INP, U_BIZP_INP, U_SI_INP
    *XDIM_MEMBERSET INTCO = I_U_RCL, I_U_MFG, I_U_FSI, I_U_ECS, I_U_KS, I_U_INDIA, I_U_BIZP, I_U_SI
    //Revenue Transfer from P_ACCT REV000003 to P_ACCT REV000004
    *WHEN P_ACCT
    *IS "REV000003"
    *REC(FACTOR=1,P_ACCT=REV000004 ,INTCO=ENTITY.INTCO,ENTITY=INTCO.ENTITY)
    //Revenue Transfer from P_ACCT REV000007 to P_ACCT REV000012
    *IS "REV000007"
    *REC(FACTOR=1,P_ACCT=REV000012 ,INTCO=ENTITY.INTCO,ENTITY=INTCO.ENTITY)
    //Revenue Transfer from P_ACCT REV000008 to P_ACCT REV000009
    *IS "REV000008"
    *REC(FACTOR=1,P_ACCT=REV000009 ,INTCO=ENTITY.INTCO,ENTITY=INTCO.ENTITY)
    *ENDWHEN"
The above script logic is not working if the user doesnt have access to the other entity to which data is copied into.
However, as per our business requirement, we need to restrict the access to the users to thier respective entites.
Hence, i would be glad to know, How can I overcome this limitation, or, how can I bypass the authorization through script logic??
Let me know incase you require any further information about the issue.
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards,
    Chandra

    Hi Nilanjan,
As Anurodh said, The command *IGNORE_SECURITY is not recognised in the BPC NW. I tried, but is not validated.
    Anurodh,
Thanks for the link. Seems it is helpful.
