Classic scenario : Confirmation and invoice in same system ?

Hello experts,
My question is as follows.
I am trying to learn various scenarios in SRM as a beginner.i undrstand how the scenarios are present and what they mean .
In classic scenario,
can i create a goods receipt in ERP(MIGO) and then a invoice in SRM ?
If this is possible, then i wont be able to see the related documents in the shopping cart for the self service procurement business process.
Help me understand this process and the technical scenario.
Will there be a constrainst that always the confirmation and invoicing has to be done in the same system. either ERP or SRM ?

Hi Per,
1. Yes this is possible, We can create the confirmation and invoice in either systems.
2. However most of the business requirements would always follow creating the follow on documents in one of the system, mostly ERP. It is totally dependent of the business and the customer. The decision of deciding on the Classic or ECS would always take this into consideration.
Anything we do in the system should justify the business need of the customer. The possibility to create the documents is a option to provide the flexibility. Hope this helps. Let me know incase of more clarifications.

    I want to create ZReport where i have to find  Purchase Order , Confirmation and Invoice Number fron SC line item .
    I am looking for that tables or FM by using which i can give SC line item Guid and i can get the corrosponding PO , Confirmation and Invoice if any.

    You can use following FMs to get the required deatils:
    FM: BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL
          E_ITMLIM_REL
          Select the second entry
          Shift+F5
          Take the HDR_GUID_A for PO
          and HDR_GUID_B for Conf
          and HDR_GUID_C for Inv
    FM: BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL
          enter the HDR_GUID_A
          Goto E_HEADER           select the OBJECT_ID
    FM: BBP_PD_CONF_GETDETAIL
          Goto E_HEADER           select the OBJECT_ID
    FM: BBP_PD_INV_GETDETAIL
           Goto E_HEADER           select the OBJECT_ID

  • Urgent : Confirmation and invoice number of a line item of a Shopping cart

    I have developed an end to end report in SRM which gives us an end to end report of a shopping cart .
    I have got the Shopping Cart details using FM : BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL 
    for each item of the shopping cart in the table E_ITEM  , getting the Po number for it from  E_ITEM- BE_OBJECT_ID
    I called FM BBP_BE_PO_GETHISTORY to get the  Confirmation and Invoice number from  E_HEADER_REL of  BBP_BE_PO_GETHISTORY.
    But this function  module  gives me the confirmation and invoice number  of a particular purchase order and
    I am stuck here as I need to find out the confirmation and invoice number of  a line item and I am not finding a link  between them .
    I  tried using  FM BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL ,
                             BBP_PD_PO_GETLIST 
    BBP_PD_PO_DOC_FLOW  and other function modules also , however they give me the confirmation and invoices o a particular PO but I am not    able further drill down to find  confirmation and invoivce of a particular line item of a shopping cart …..
    Please let me know if there is a way to find this out ????

    In the shopping cart for a limit item I need to default the radio button for CONFIRMATION AND INVOICE as it is now defaluted to INVOICE ONLY .

    I'm looking for a way to restrict the "Invoice Only" option depending on the product category selected.  Do you know I would do this?
    For example only allow "Invoice Only" to be selected if Product Category X is selected.  If product category Y is selected then grey-out "Invoice Only".

  • Final Cut Pro X and 7 on same system

    I am using Final Cut Pro 7 and I was not very keen on Final Cut Pro X when I tried it out.
    However, I have just learned that it could be advantageous workwise if I am prepared to work on some FCPX projects.
    I'm just curious to know if it is safe to run both applications on the same system; e.g. do they share preference files? Do they use the same plugins folder etc.?
    I know that in the past (and I mean the distant past) I have had problems trying to run different versions of the same software in the same machine and I'm too comfortable with FCP7 to just leap into working with an application about which I got an unfavourable impression and which many fellow professionals have told me instigated a move to Premiere.
    Can somebody give me some definitive advice, please?

    Yes it's safe and no they don't use same plug-ins.
    I'm running FCS3 and FCPX, Motion5, Compresor 4 on two systems. No problems.
    Bets would be to follow these steps – the same start-up explanation.

    I haven't been able to teach my motion graphics course in a year so I am behind on AE doings and the state budget cuts cancelled the purchase of my new laptop SO I only have CS3.  I am scrambling to make this course work!!

    Q:  Blimpo AE CS4 says it needs "2Gb RAM" vs CS3's "1Gb RAM for DV" (our application) - will CS4 even install and start w/o 2Gb?  If so, can one at least do simple, straightforward work with 1Gb or is it hopeless?

    "Simple, straightforward work" is very much a matter of definition. As long as we talking basic title, menu and background design at SD resolutions (PAL/ NTSC) or below (web) without resorting to oversized source files, it might work to a degree. I doubt, however, you will ever be abel to do anything remotely HD. Memory errors and warnings will be a constant companion....

    I'm loocking on SRM to find a table (or smthg else) which is updated when a PO has a confirmation or an invoice MADE IN R/3.
    I'm sure it's existing as in the web we can see in the document history, but I can't find a table in SRM that can tell when the confirmations / invoices have been done in R/3.

    Hi Sai,
    All the replicated material groups from back end R/3 can be seen using COMM_HIERARCHY transaction as categories.
    You can choose category as the search criteria and then click start tab to view all the replicated material groups.
    In the VENMAP table you can see all the replicated vendors from back end along with their logical systems from which they were replciated.
    Using PPOSV_BBP transaction you can see all the replicated vendors in your Vendor Group along with the vendor code and Business partner number.

  • Mac and Windows on Same System. Having glitches. Help!

    Hello, I have my laptop set up to a router with the main computer being a Mac.  It basically works fine, but I have been noticing some glitches especially in trying to play media, such as YouTube files and other streaming videos.  I can never get them to play at the right speed, even though I have it set to automatic.  Do I need to set this differently?  I also cannot print PDF files, have tried just about anything, but that may have nothing to do with FIOS. 
    When we set it up, it was just configured to my system, with the network code and I downloaded the network adapters.  It looks like there is another step here -- configure Windows with either the info from a flash drive or a disc, according to the Verizon website.  But, how can I configue Windows if the main system is a Mac.  Confused.  Thanks for any info.

    You don't need any software installed on the windows PC. Just plug it into the Ethernet port on the router to the Ethernet port on the NIC card. If you want the Fios software installed go to activatemyfios.verizon.net and click configure another computer and enter your fios user name and password. If you are having connection problems go to verizon.com/connectionwizard and install that software.

  • Production Suite CS4 and CS3 on same system ?

    I had bought CS3 (installed, under Vista x64) and was entitled to an upgrade to CS4 which I have not installed yet.
    I know it is not recommended to work projects started in CS3 into CS4. But can I install both versions on my system without functionnality problems ?(I mean in two distinct folder of course, but what about the stuff linked into Windows?). So I can keep working projects started in CS3 and then start new projects with CS4 ?
    Also: license wise ?

    I have CS3 and CS4 installed on two different computers and do not see any problems due to their coexistence . The only thing I have seen in the forums is a caution to not remove CS3 after installing CS4 as it apparently shares some files with CS4.

  • Proxy to Proxy Scenario with sender and receiver on same instance

    I have a scenario to integrate Erecruit to HR system usng standard content. Both the Erecruiting and HR are on same instance so my sender and receiver is the same system. Standard ABAP proxies are provided.
    Now I need some help in how to configure the channels and the agreements as both the sender and receiver are on same instance. Do i need to use parties?
    do i have to create a sender communication channel?
    Please let me know the stps required in configuration for this scenario.

    It does not matter if your sender and receiver are same system or different systems,the configuration steps will be the same.
    In your case you would need
    1 Receiver determination
    1 interface determination
    1 receiver agreement
    1 receiver communication channel(of type XI adapter,this will connect to HR system).
    No party or sender communication channel or sender agreement are required.
    You need to have configured 1 business system for HR system in SLD though.

    Recently we have moved  from SRM7 to SRM 7.01, in which we can have PPS without Extended classic scenario.
    As business wants classic scenario, How can we make the system as classic , in which PPS and extended classic is activated.

    Basically you have few points to keep in mind. (yes you need to activate the SPRO config for extended classic, apart from this).
    1. switch between extended classic and classic is actually defined by the backend logical system of the document. if thats SRM itself then it follows the path of extended classic or if it is ECC then it follows classic.
    because its basically creating a follow on document and that explains the scenario.
    2. it also depends on what object are you expecting to be created. from a SC many documents can be created.
    a. PO in SRM
    b. PO in ECC
    c. PR in ECC
    d. Reservation in ECC
    - so, if you can define at any point that where is your document to be created and what is to be created you can control the flow.
    Now to do this. if you have few options.
    Option1:
    1. set the object types(2) for product categories (config, backend document type).
    2. implement BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI  to switch off extended classic
    Options 2:
    1. in doc change badi, change the backend destination to ECC
    2. in Badi BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE pass the object type you want your follow on document to be.
