Clear POJO Data control cache

Hi I am using Jdev 11.1.1.7
I have a POJO based Data control which am using for tree structure.
I have this tree inside a popup.
So when cancelling or after the purpose of the popup is over.
I want to clear the cache of the data control.
I tried several ways to do that like having a methods in my java class where making the object  null and calling the methods on cancel.
But nothing worked .
How to clear the Pojo DC.

Hi AlejandroTLanz   ,
I tried the above method.
I created a method in Java class which is used to make the List null used by the tree.
And then calling finditerator.executequery.
I could see that the list is getting null.
But In Java sampler It still shows that Objects are present.
I guess the Object are still in data control cache...
I tried to clear the DC Cache by calling the DC.resetMethod.
But nothing worked

  • Managed Beans vs. POJO Data Control for sharing data

    Hi,
    I am currently using JAX-WS proxy client and POJO Data Controls to retrieve data from web services. This data needs to be shared across users. Normally I would use application scoped managed beans for this, but since I prefer using data controls and the binding layer, would using static POJO Data Control classes achieve the same thing?

    Hi,
    Data Controls don't exist across user sessions so in your use case use a managed bean in application scope. If you want to make this available from a Data Control
    - create a POJO
    - Use EL in the POJO to access the managed bean
    - Create a DataControl from the POJO
    This way the Data Control exposes the data as an API but itself always reaches out to the managed bean as a data store/cache

  • How to cause POJO data control to use custom base ViewObject class

    ADF 11.1.1.4
    We have a POJO data control that displays data in a table.  We can filter the table using the column filters and this performs in-memory filter.   If an exception occurs I see that it is using a ViewObject for the in-memory filtering because this shows up in the stack trace.
    oracle.jbo.server.ViewObjectImpl.rowQualifies(ViewObjectImpl.java:2811)
    It uses DCDataVO which extends ViewObjectImpl
    We have a Custom base view object defined that all our normal view objects inherit from, defined in Project Properties/BC/Base Classes
    Is there any way to make the DCDataVO also extend from  our Custom View Object that inherits from ViewObject so that we can override methods?  For example if I wanted to customize the rowQualifies method.
    In DCBeanDataControl.Java I see where it actually gets created.
    vo = DCDataVO.createViewObjectFromDef(vdef, this, getApplicationModule());

    So you have already overridden then rowQualifies() method in your custom base View Object ? Are you calling super in that ?
    Cheers

  • Create dynamic table using pojo data control

    What are the options we can in order to create dynamic table columns based on pojo data control?

    Regards

    Hi,
    any exception that is thrown by the data control is passed on to the binding layer to display the exception (if dc is accessed through the binding). So how do you access the POJO DC when the exception is thrown?

  • Any Examples of using ActiveCollectionModelDecorator with POJO data control

    Are there any Examples of using ActiveCollectionModelDecorator with POJO data control in any of the sample packs?

    OK, here's an quick example. Create a new Windows Forms application and add a ScatterGraph and a Label to the form. Add a cursor to the ScatterGraph, then add the code below to the form. This generates 50 random data points when the form is loaded and plots them, then uses the cursor's AfterMove event to display the current X and Y positions in the label. Here's the code:
    Private Sub OnFormLoad(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
    Const dataLength As Integer = 50
    Dim xData(dataLength - 1) As Double
    Dim yData(dataLength - 1) As Double
    Dim rnd As Random = New Random
    For i As Integer = 0 To dataLength - 1
    xData(i) = i
    yData(i) = rnd.NextDouble() * 10
    Next
    ScatterGraph1.PlotXY(xData, yData)
    End Sub
    Private Sub OnAfterMoveXYCursor(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As NationalInstruments.UI.AfterMoveXYCursorEventArgs) Handles XyCursor1.AfterMove
    Label1.Text = String.Format("({0}, {1})", e.XPosition, e.YPosition)
    End Sub
    Hope this helps.

    This methodAction calls a Data Contol based on a POJO which is using a JAX-WS Proxy. This Data Control POJO is packaged in a separate JAR file named ServicesProxy.jar.
    Both ServicesProxy.jar and the ADF application using it are deployed as two distinct shared libraries used by webcenter portal application.
    An important information is that the error does not happen when debugging the ADF application on my IntegratedServer. The error happens only when deployed as a shared Lib used by webcenter portal application.
    This jar file ServicesProxy is used by other applications within our portal, so I think that the data control is properly created.
    Do you have any idea what could be the cause of such error?

  • POJO Data Control af:table with selectOneChoice

    Hello All,
    JDeveloper 11.1.1.6/7
    I have a peculiar issue that I am trying to solve.
    I have a POJO based data control and an af:table based out of it. One of the fields (category) is to be a selectOneChoice driven by a WS Data Control. When I drag-drop the target attribute (category) as a Select One Choice and create a dynamic list based on the WS Data Control the row becomes uneditable.
    The selectOneChoice from the jspx:

    If I remove the Binds attribute from the Item definition, then the row becomes active but of course the drop-down list is empty. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong. I have uploaded the sample workspaces here - http://www.bijesh.info/bijesh/ADFWS_TestCase.zip. WebServiceHost contains the LOV Web Service and the WSClient workspace contains the test page.

    Hi,
    there is a bug I filed this week on that issue. Could it be you filed the issue as a SR with support? Because this is where I got the test case from. For me the problem reproduced witha static list as well. So if you want to check if this is the same you see, please try a static list in the SOC. If this too makes the field un-editable then its the same effect. The testcase I had was 11.1.1.7 and I fixed an issue in its POJO model to run the sample (just in case you belong to the same customer). I didn't test with 11.1.1.6 as obviously the bean data control is different in 11.1.1.7 (at least it complained about a missing class when I tried in 11.1.1.6).
    If the testcase I true is not yours, please contact customer support with your test case or send it my way in a zip file renamed to "unzip"

  • Should we really go for bean data controls for a new project?

    Hi,
    I am still new data controls and trying to figure out the advantages of using bean data controls for our new project. Our UI is going to have customized UI components and our back end is going to be a tcp/ip server.
    Is it a good idea to develop java beans and then create data controls to bind to UI layer? I think it makes sense to use data controls if we want to use existing java beans. Maybe we would be separating the model layer by using data controls, but only thing it would be doing for us would be the simple object calls to my java beans. Would it be better to use data controls or use I choose to make object calls?
    Thanks,
    Manoj

    Hi,
    the POJO data control will always give you a benefit and develope productivity, unless what you have to build fits on a single page - in which case you may not mind the burdon of manual UI component binding

  • WebService data control data persistence issue

    Hi,
    We are using one Web Service data control on two jspx pages of application. The attributes from the data control are added on both the pages as data binding.
    Scenario:: We submit some data from Page1 using web service data control and move to Page2. Fill some data on Page2 and again submit the request to Web Service data control and after successful response move back to Page1. Same is repeated again and again for this scenario.
    Now the issue is, we submit some data from Page1, move to Page2, submit some data from Page2 and come back to Page1. If we repeat this process, then while submitting the data on Page1, the data that we submitted earlier on Page2 also get submitted, which is not expected. We only want to submit the data as per the binding on that page. Page1 is in unbounded taskflow and Page2 is in bounded taskflow.
    We have tried by setting possible values like :: CacheResults: false on iterator, Refresh condition: Ifneeded, UsePersistentStructure to false on data control. Also tried to reset and clear the data control using APIs and resetInputState on bindings. But nothing is working. The only method that is working is ClearForRecreate on Page1 iterator. But since its internal method this might not be good to use it. Also after using this we stated to receive intermittent error stating AttributeList$Itr can not be cast to String and some times argument is not an array exception.
    Please let me know, how i can ensure that correct data is sent to web service data control.
    Using JDev 11.1.1.6.
    Thanks

    Solved by removing the Share Data control option in taskflow.
    Thanks

  • Calling webservice in code using data control ADF Mobile

    Hi,
    I am calling webservice in code using data control. Below image is show my binding.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/ufjnnd67mfaeucq/Snap%202013-05-13%20at%2011.49.17.png
    My code is :
    ValueExpression ve1 = AdfmfJavaUtilities.getValueExpression("#{bindings.WeatherDescriptionIterator}", AmxIteratorBinding.class); // Using IteratorBinding
    AmxIteratorBinding iter = (AmxIteratorBinding) ve1.getValue(AdfmfJavaUtilities.getAdfELContext());
    GenericType row = null;
    iter.getIterator().first();
    iter.release();
    for(int i = 0; i < iter.getIterator().getTotalRowCount(); i++)
    row = (GenericType)iter.getCurrentRow();
    Integer s = new Integer(i+100);
    row.setAttribute("deptId", s);
    This code is work fine in POJO data control. But When I used this code for calling webservice data control then i get following error.
    can not find property bindings.
    And I also use below code but same error occur.
    ValueExpression ve1l = AdfmfJavaUtilities.getValueExpression("#{bindings.WeatherDescription.collectionModel}", AmxCollectionModel.class); // Using CollectionModel
    AmxCollectionModel model = (AmxCollectionModel)ve1l.getValue(AdfmfJavaUtilities.getAdfELContext());
    Object[] myArr = model.getKeys();
    for (int x = 0; x < myArr.length; x++)
    Object myObj = myArr[x];
    Map provider = (Map)model.getProviders().get(myObj);
    String deptName = provider.get("deptName").toString();
    }

    !!!! IMPORTANT !!!!
    The use of +*#{data.view_FlexFieldDisplayPageDef.publicflexfieldflow1.regionModel}"*+ in your code is an *absolute no-go and serious coding issue* as there is no guarantee that this PageDef file exists in the application you use the declarative component in. Even if you don't plan to use the declarative component anywhere else, you should pass the model reference as an input attribute to the declarative component so it can be configured by each use of the component

  • Reinitializing of Data Control

    How can I refresh a Bean, that Controlle a Data Control between requests for the same session.
    Issue is between requests the same data is displayed. I suspect that the Bean Backing the data Control gets
    excuted only the first time, and thereafter it stays in the memory and gets picked up.
    is there a way to reinitialize the Bean every time the Table is displayed?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
    in your case I suggest to use the Web Service proxy client to access the Web Service. This is a more agile approach and obviously what you need. I recommend following architecture
    WS < -- > WS proxy client < -- > POJO Bean wrapper < -- > POJO Data Control
    The WS proxy represents the part that needs to be changed when the WS definition changes. To protect the ADF binding access from changes, you create a POJO bean as an abstraction layee between the service access and ADF. This also allows you to perform filtering and other pre- post- processings. The POJO bean DC works the same as the WS DC

  • Clear all rows in a Bean Data Control

    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6
    In my use case I have a screen that interacts with a Bean Data Control I have followed the steps in the following URL to create a Bean Data Control
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18941_01/tutorials/jdtut_11r2_36/jdtut_11r2_36.html
    My screen successfully interacts with the Bean Data Control. This screen lives in a Bounded Task Flow (BTF). I can add rows using a Create Insert binding and can delete Rows as well. Once the user gets all rows into the Bean Data Control that they want inserted to a DB table, I can iterate through the Bean Data Control and post those records to the DB. It is possible for the users to add rows to the Bean Data Control and then link to a brand new screen which is in a different BTF which leaves rows in the Bean Data Control. Now the user goes back to the original screen. Upon returning, I want to empty (clear all rows) for the Bean Data Control so that they have a fresh start. Could you please provide guidance on what I might need to do to be able to clear a Bean Data Control when entering a BTF

    Hi,
    You can create a method to clear your Bean Data Control and call it with an invokeAction with property refresh="ifNeeded" and refreshCondition="#{pageFlowScope.isTimeToClearAll}", so pageFlowScope.isTimeToClearAll must be true only when you need to clear the BDC.
