Clearing pending commitments on Project

Dear Experts,
I have a scenario where a Service PR is created on Service Activity with single line item having 1 quantity. In Service Sheet there are 2 line items, having quantities 2 and 3 respectively.
We have adopted one line item with quantity 2 in PO and processed it to Service Entry Sheet & Invoice.
Now, the problem is that second line item of service sheet with Quantity 3 has marked the commitment & consumed budget. This line item is not required now, so it should be closed & budged should be released accordingly.
I could not find such option in PR to close a line items at Service Sheet level. Is there any other solution to close this PR and release its commitment & budget accordingly ?
Your response is appreciated. Thanks.
Regards,
Murtaza

Hi,
I think in case of services, once the PR is converted into PO, then the PR commitment will not open again if you delete the PO service line as suggested by Sreekanth. ( It will not appear in CJI5 ).
Please delete the unwanted service PO line and and PR --> under Quantity/date , tick the indicator "closed". This indicator is only to indicate that the PR is closed and no further PO is required.

  • How do I clear entrees in recent projects

How do I clear entrees in recent projects when I have deleted the saved files.

don't do it.  It will make your mac slower.  If you insist:
    Clear cache in Lion
Open a finder window and select “Go to Folder” in the Go menu
    Type in ~/Library/Caches
This is optional, but you can highlight & copy everything to a different folder in case anything goes wrong.
Highlight everything and press CMD and Backspace
    Restart your machine

  • PR status Report aganist dispatched /pending material aganist Project

    Hi All,
Is there any Standred Report on PR status Report for dispatch / pending material aganist a project
if not what is the other option of getting it
    Regards,
    Rajashekhar B.S

    Hi,
It is not necessary that all the material assigned in Project will be delivered, some may be consumed during preparation of finished good/final product. CN52N will tell you about goods issue also but again all goods issue cant be delivery.
Hence possibility of standard report adressing your requirement is ruled out.

  • Lost commitments in project system

In our projects we have a lot of problems with lost commitments. The POs are still existing. GRs are posted but not valuated. We are getting an error during invoice posting because of exceeded budget.
RKANBU01 solve this problem and the commitments are available again.
Does somebody know the reason of this problem or does somebody knows a report to identify the "problem records".

    Hi,
    Posibility 1 :
Please check for your inventory a/c and consumption a/c GL's maintained in OBYC when cost  elements are created in the system ? please verify OBYC settings from FI consultant.
If they are created in the system after your creation of PO and GR and before booking your invoice you scenerio is correct.
All PS transcations are cost element base so if there is no cost element created for the G/L's while execution the transactions then system will not update any values in PS reports and also will check for the budget availability against assigned WBS elements.
    Posibility 2 :
Also you have to check that at the time of creation of PO and GR transaction AVAC was active or not for your project.

  • Safe Practice for Clearing Project Cache in Cap v.5

Does anyone have a documented safe practice for clearing the Project Cache for Captivate v.5 projects?  Adobe has a fix for clearing cache for multiple projects in one step, but I'm wondering when is the best time to clear cache for a project.  My concern is clearing the project cache and then not being able to recover the project if the file get's corrupt (which is the original purpose for the cache in the first place).
I've already done this once where I cleared the project cache and then couldn't open the file, then I didn't have the cached project available to recover the project.  Now I'm understandably a little gun-shy when using the Clear Cache option, but the alternative is to deal with a large amount of my computer storage being used for a bunch of files that I probably don't need.
If anyone has the recommended list of steps and in the correct order, I'd really appreciate it.

I don't know that there is any "documented safe practice" for when to clear the cache, but if you have Cp5 set to create backup files as well, even if you DO clear your cache, you should be able to recreate your project by renaming the backup file.
I've been using Cp5 every day since it was in Alpha and I've only ever needed to restore a project from cache once.  In that case, my PC crashed while Cp was open and corrupted a project file.  But Captivate 5 has crashed plenty of times over the past year for one reason or another and yet I've never lost any more than a couple of hours work at worst.
You are most likely to need this project restore feature if you've made the classic error of working from files stored on a network drive instead of your own hard drive.  If you only work from hard drive, install all the latest patches, keep your drivers and OS up to date, turn on the Cp backup file option, plus keep backups of all project files outside your PC, this is all the documented safe practice you need.
Clearing the cache seems to solve quite a few otherwise baffling Cp issues.  I think you are more at risk by keeping the cache full than by clearing it.

  • Project commitment shows even after closing PO

    Hi,
I have developed a program to short close PO (in mass).  This program marks Delivery indicator and sets Latest GR Date.
After running this program POs are short closed and To be delivered qty/value shows zero in MM reports such as ME2N.
The problem is that this does not close commitments in Project.  When I run PS report (say CJI5), I get those POs as open and the remaining values are still shown as open commitment in PS.
Please help me understand how to close this project commitment.
    Regards,
    UT

I think this will work.  I ran RKANBU01 program after closing PO through my program and it successfully closed open commitments.
I will confirm once I'm done with my testings...
    Thanks a lot!

  • Missing (most, but not all) masters from managed project

I just found that I have a one project in my library where most of the raw master files (NEF) are missing. The project contains 160 photos, but only 14 masters are present and these are randomly distributed in the project (not sequential files). My entire library is managed (not referenced). All photos were imported at one time.
All the edited versions appear in the browser with no problem, including the "full" version and the Quick Preview ("P"). Oddly, when I press "M" to view the master image, it displays correctly with no adjustments, but the message "Master Image not Found" appears where it would normally say "Master Image." I only noticed the masters were missing when I tried to export a version and got the follwing message:
"Versions with unavailable master files cannot be exported. The selected master image is either offline or not found. Please reconnect it and try again."
I searched in the library and vaults for original the filenames, but they do not exist in either location. If all the masters were missing, I would have concluded that I imported that project as a referenced file and later deleted the masters, but 14 of the 160 are still there.
    I have two questions:
First, does anyone have any idea how the master files could be deleted so I can avoid this in the future? I am beginning to think this is simply a corruption of the database (not reassuring).
Second, is there any way to recover the versions that clearly exist in the project so I can reimport these as masters? While viewing them in the browser, I can zoom in to the original resolution on both the master and the edited version, but can't perform any further edits to the image (although I can add metadata). I'd be happy to retrieve a JPEG version, even though it appears I have lost the original raw file.
By the way, I have already performed all three library repair options on Aperture launch (Repair Permissions, Repair Database and Rebuild Database).
    Thanks for any help,
    Dave

    From the OP's other thread:
I have three vaults (on three HDs) backing up one Aperture library (two onsite and one for offsite backup). Two of the vaults simultaneously became corrupted and I could no longer back up to them.
That plus the live library seems like 3 to me.
    You wrote:
With managed-Masters one can back up a broken Library to a dozen perfect drives and all that results is a dozen identically broken Libraries.
Which is why backing up without verify the backup is a meaningless exercise.  This goes for any backup method, How do you know your TM or CCC backup or simple copy of your masters is good?
If the Masters are backed up prior to Aperture the problem resolves (versions still lost).
And this is true also for managed libraries.
If (backed up) Referenced Masters are used and the Library becomes corrupt the problem resolves (versions still lost).
Not sure what you are trying to say here.
Proper use of Vaults also save Versions, but only prior to the time that the Library became corrupted - and we do not necessarily know the instant a Library becomes corrupt.
Proper use of vaults also saves masters if the library is managed. Ans see above for why we verify backups.
Look I agree that the masters need to be backed up in other than the vault (or TM or CCC or any one place). I use the Aperture  backup  dialog in the input window:
But once the masteres are backed-up referenced masters has no inherent saftey advantage over managed masters. In fact if all you do is backup before import and then place the masters on their own disk they are slightly less secure as they are only in two places.
In my operation I have my masters in three places, the import backup location the library and the vault I create from that library. In fact I have multiple vaults so in fact I have my masters in a minimum of 5 places. And its all fairly transparent.
So continue to sing the praise of referenced masters, for some and in some situations they are the way to go But from a security standpoint they have no advantage over managed masters.

  • Images no longer showing in Project Manager panel, but in project RH8

In a project with 2400 topics and 3400 images we decided to move the images to a project_images folder so we could just remove the html folders in Production when we update.  Drag & drop images from previous location to new folder...forever!  All was good...Then we shut the project and opened it back up again and only 6 images now display in the Images/project_images folder.  In Windows Explorer all 3400 are there.  If you go to a topic in RH the images display - with the right paths.  They are picked up appropriately when you compile.
They just don't display in the Project Manager panel...making it very difficult to drag them into topics!
    We have tried:
    1.  Deleting the .fpj file in the project_images folder and adding a new image hoping it would rebuild itself
    2.  Tried renaming the project_images folder to something else - RH HATES that and just hangs.  I gave it overnight to figure it out...it never unhung.
    3.  Tried creating a new folder - again RH hangs and must be manually ended
    4.  Moved a topic with images to another location - topic moves fine.  Images move...but do not show up under Images
    5.  Imported a topic with images - the new images show fine...the old ones still are invisible.
This is two days of work moving the images...we hate to start over and have no idea if it will do it again.  We did this on another project - same problem - but moving a folder resolved it.  That is not working here.
Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!!!  RH 8.02.208

Wow, what a hassle.  I never saw this issue until we upgraded to RH9 and tried to use the resource manager to link images.  I've never been as frustrated with RoboHelp as I am now after fifteen years of using it.
We've always had an "images" folder within the root of our projects.  We never saw this "image disappearing" problem until now.  After pulling my hair out for a couple of days, I think I have nailed down why this is happening (aside from the .cpd clearing).
Envision a project structured like so:
    Root Folder
       |---Folder A
       |---Folder B
       |---Images Folder
              |---Folder C
              |---Folder D
If I drag/drop a new image from the resource manager into a topic that resides in Folder C or Folder D, the image is placed in the root of the project.  Okay, not ideal.  Why don't images dragged/dropped out of the resource manager retain the resource manager's folder structure?  Another post for another day...
Regardless, I want to move the image to my images folder.  If I then drag/drop the image from the root of the project folder into the Images Folder, the rhsharedresource.apj is updated, and the link is retained no problem.  All right!  This is what I want to see, as I already have too many snippet files doomed to be in the root of the project because they can't be moved and are already causing lag when opening and working in projects.  Another post for another day...
As long as the new image is only referenced in topics residing in or beneath the Images Folder in the project's structure, the image will never disappear from
the project manager, even when the.cpd is cleared.  This is because the topics referencing the image in the Images Folder are within the Images Folder's folder structure.
If the image added is then added to any folder above the Images Folder in the project's structure -- Folder A or Folder B -- the next time RoboHelp is closed and reopened (if you have clear the .cpd checked in RH Options) the image is gone.  BAH!  GAH!  UGH!
Remove the reference to the image from the topics in Folder A or Folder B and the image reappears in the Images Folder the next time RH is opened.  Wow, magical!
So, if you never move an image from the Root Folder of the project, you will never see the image disappear from the project manager because it is at the highest level possible and every folder within the project will be beneath the image in the folder structure.
Sure, if the image disappears, you can rename the folder, add a topic, etc. the project manager refreshes and all of the images magically reappear.  But, as soon as you close RoboHelp and clear that .cpd, they're gone again.
That's what I've found.  Too bad we personally can't restructure the projects we're working on because of a dim-wit Dev call forced on us to use static URLs instead of map IDs to call the topics.
Anyway, I am thinking a project structured like this is now the way to go:
    Root Folder
         |---Images (aka Resources) Folder
                  |---Topics Folder A
                  |---Topics Folder B

Hello. This is the problem. When I try to open with premiere pro CC 2014 a converted and actualized CC 2014 version of a project created previously in a previous version of premiere, the software crash.
Said in other words if it doesn't clear:
    - I created a project in Premiere CC
    - I actualized the project to Premiere CC 2014
    - I worked in the project with the new Premiere CC 2014 for few days and suddenly, I cannot open the project and the software crash.
I hope you understand my problem. Sorry about my english. I'm not native english speaker.

Rather than opening directly, try importing the project via the Media Browser Window.
Much more efficient as you'll have more options.

  • Use of MR11 Transaction - GR/IR Clearing

    Hi,
If we use Trnasaction MR11 transaction for clearing pending GR/IR will it affect to material stock account?
Can any one explain me in what case it affects to stock account?
    Regards,
    Deepak

    Dear FICO:
Please see my comments in blue
I agree to the explanation of Allen of MR11 but disagree also, because, in the example where he shows that GR is 10Qty and IR 11, so a financial document will be posted.. is not the correct approach.. in that case instead of posting through MR11, actual situation should be analysed and a credit memo should be raised on the Vendor, this would give a good Audit trail and clear accounts.. instead of accepting the 1 extra invoiced by the vendor..
I agreed that if IR is 11,then this situation will be analyzed and vendor should be raising credit memo, then we will be creating subsequent credit memo accordingly.
If we follow what you have shown by way of Financial entry, then Vendor gets paid for 1 qty extra which the Company would never have received.
But Yes, I agree, that this is the situation when the Stock Accounts are getting triggered by MR11.. and it all depends on business case, how to deal with it. To add to this, please note that inventory Account would only get hit, if the stock is lying on the date of MR11, else it would post to a price difference Account (OBYC Key - PRD)
Yes, I just listed all possibilities which will trigger GR/IR to be cleared, also to assign correct G/L account is necessary
I am pasting a link of MR11 transaction explanation, where you can read all about MR11.
    Thanks for this linkage!

  • Moving Projects from One Computer to Another

Is there a good way to do this?
To be clear I mean the project, not a completed video

To edit a project on another computer, you will need both the Project file and any event files that it references.
You will need an external drive formatted Mac OS Extended (journaled) - not FAT32.
Firewire and USB will both work fine for this.
In iMovie, click VIEW/Group Events By Disk.
Now you should see your external drive at the bottom of the Project Library List view. Hold down the Command Key while dragging the small icon for your project to the small icon for the external drive.
Now, with the Project still selected, click FILE/CONSOLIDATE Media... and you can move over the Events, Music, and Photos for the project to the external drive as well.
Plug this drive in to the other Mac and you are ready to edit.
