Clicks / Taps not registering well on some buttons.

I am having an issue with some of my buttons not registering clicks when running on the iPhone. They work fine in the AIR debugger.
Does transparency matter? The buttons are PNG files of the text "OK" and "CANCEL" with transparent backgrounds. I was thinking that maybe the iPhone wasn't registering clicks on the transparent areas therefore making the buttons harder to hit.
Any ideas?

Two things:
From testing, I've notice that some time the mouse click events did not fire, especially in fast rate clicks (say, in games like bejeweled).
Switching from "mouse click" to "mouse down" events seems to work better.
You can always separate the graphics from the "hit" area of the button. you can:
a. use an almost transparent movieclip (alpha of 1/100) that is placed above the graphics (and listen to its event, not the graphics).
b. use a simple button and place a large rectangle in the "hit" state of the button.
btw, using method 2b, you can have one graphic file for all the UI, as it's just a background for the real buttons.

If you configure the track pad to accept a double-tap = mouse click - do you still have the problem?
I had a similar problem with white MacBooks - the mouse button just wouldn't work anymore - got worn out or something. I think that may be why Apple went with the whole trackpad being the mouse button. I never use that though. I much prefer the double tap.

T410s clicks and taps not registering

Ever so often mouse clicks start being ignored. Instead of registering the click the active window appears to loose focus. Sometimes I'll still be able to use the trackpad buttons or tap the touchscreen. Other times none of these will work. Sometimes switching windows (Alt+Tab) or right-clicking appears to fix the problem, or it fixes itself after a while. Other times I'm stuck using the keyboard until I reboot.
This is a problem that started just a few days ago. Can't correlate it with a specific update. I reverted the UltraNav driver (for Windows 64-bit) from 15.0.24.0 to 15.0.18.0, but that didn't help. I also don't see the SynTPEnh.exe process hanging or using CPU as other people have reported recently.
Anyone else experienced something similar or have any suggestions?

Text Click box not working when using back button on playbar

I have an interstesting situation.
I have a slide that has 2 text clickboxes (Slide B)
Each text click box has an advanced action associated that controls what is displayed on the next slide (Slide C) . The click boxes and the advanced actions work just fine except for the following situation:
The learner is on Slide C and uses the 'back button' on the playbar to return to the slide where the two text click boxes are (Slide B), then the click boxes don't seem to work.
However if the learner goes back one additional slide, the slide before slide B (let's call that one slide A) and the continues from Slide A to Slide B, then the click boxes on Slide B work again.
Can't figure out why that is?
has anyone come across this issue before?

Not for native Captivate interactive objects that suffer with this limitation. There are interactive widgets such as the Infosemantics Event Handler that have preference options to Reset Success/Fail Criteria After Action.

Mouse clicks do not register

Over the past few weeks for no apparent reason mouse clicks will stop working on my Mac Pro. Generally speaking, clicking will work in the dock, system menu bar and sometimes a click on a background window of another application will bring to to the front. At other times clicking anywhere has zero effect.
The mouse moves around the screen fine otherwise. I generally use an Apple wireless trackpad but once this problem occurs it doesn't matter what input device I use - a wired mouse, my wireless Wacom tablet, etc. - the problem remains. I can tab around within an application, fill in text fields or open files using the keyboard. But even using screen share and taking control of the desktop from my laptop the problem remains: clicking of any kind does not work. So it's not the input devices or their connections.
On occasion I will hit command-option escape and force quit all applications and restart the finder and that will work. Other times not.The system remains responsive - no spinning beachballs etc. In the end I'm forced to restart the computer and everything returns to normal.
Whats-a-going-on? Any ideas?

My point remains the same: if your hard-wired devices are known good, then you have a intermittent problem that resides either in the OS or in hardware. The nexts step are along the lines of reseating all the boards, running hardware tests, etc. to try to determine if it's hardware or software before re-installing the operating system.
The other option is to take it to an Apple qualified service guy. If you do that, I'd look for a Mac Pro specialist (someone who works on pro video or audio systems, etc) since most Apple Stores are mostly for iPads, not serious hardware.

IPod mini click wheel not working

Tuesday i was listening to my ipod and it worked just fine. the click wheel was working and everything was okay. i put it on my ihome to charge that night and left it there until i got home from school the next day. it worked fine in the morning(wednesday) when my alarm went off. wednesday night i took it off my i home and my click did not work at all. the buttons work but i can't scroll thru my songs or change the volume. it still has it's original battery so i know that's not what could have damaged it. between the time that it did work and the time i discovered it didn't it was not dropped or exposed to any extremes. i have reset it several times and restored to the factory setting and nothing has worked. please help!! i have had it for almost 2 years so it's out of warranty. is there anything i can do to fix it myself? i don't have the money to service it.

Well, if resets and restores are not helping, the clickwheel is malfunctioning. If you don't have the money to have Apple service it, would you be able to buy a new part?
If you can't buy a new part... Your only option is to open the bottom of the mini, slide the clickwheel out, dissasemble the clickwheel, put it back together, and reconnect it. It may sound like a lot, but it's pretty easy. I've had to do it on my blue mini, but realize that this may not solve the problem and if it does, last forever. I finally had to get a new clickwheel. Mouse right click throttled/not detected after burst of right clicks

I have a problem with the right click of my mouse after sending a "burst" of clicks (I cant really count but its at least 1/sec).
I noticed this problem first when trying to play Dota2, I have not yet tested if I can reproduce the problem from any other application.
The problem carries on after closing Dota2. I ran xev afterwards to see if it detects the right clicks accordingly but it also misses a lot of right-clicks, left clicks and mouse movement work flawlessly. The problem occurs with different window manager (i3 and awesome).
Steps to reproduce:
- Start Dota2, join a game
- Do a lot of right clicks
- After a short burst of right clicks a lot of right clicks are not registered, making it nearly impossible to play
- Quit Dota2
- Still miss a lot of right clicks

Mail not connecting well with exchange

I connect with office 365 exchange for my mail.
Since Yosemite, I'm getting really inconsistent syncing. Sometimes it's just not receiving, sending, transferring email etc at all.
I have to keep restarting the program, but it inevitably happens again.
Very frustrating!!

Me too and it's causing a world of hurt since I use this at work. Sometimes it acts like it cannot send an email and I hit resend and people tell me they got my email 2-3 times or not at all. Some emails stay in outbox for 10-20 mins. Also not syncing well. Some emails I read on my phone act like there are unread on my mac. I have mine set to get new mail every minute, but sometimes 15 minutes go by before I see a new email. I get endless "Drafts" since it thinks I'm never finishing sending my emails. I called Apple this am and a senior tech acted like he had never heard of this happening. Now I do know Microsoft is having some issues with 365 in the last 4-5 days, but still my Windows based co-workers hardly see any issues, so it's got to be Yosemite. It was fine in Mavericks.

Some Buttons have to be Double+ clicked

I noticed a strange thing on my site. All buttons are programmed identical but some of them have to be double or tripple clicked (depending on the level they are in) in order to access the designated location.
What does it mean? Is there an error in code and something has to be rearranged differently?

all of the top menu buttons work with a single click, except for the first one "about us" which has to be double clicked.
Any reasonable explanation?

l thought l follow you, but with this last message l got lost.
How would l resolve main navigation buttons with one key frame if they have
to repeat all the same from section to section.
The way l arranged it now is that the main nav buttons are on a separate
layer which is extended without any keyframes all the way through all the
labels and length of the main time line, so it is always visible. AS applied
only on the first key frame of the entire site. ls it wrong? l would not be
able to have them only on one key frame as they have to be present
throughout the site. Unless you suggest that l unite them all into one movie
clip with only one frame and then put this movie clip on the separate layer
which will extend throughout the site? But then the code gets more
complicated?
Then l have sections with products shots where each product shot
animated image is a button as well. Some section have product shots
repeating. All of the product shot buttons are key framed in sections of
about 10 frames for ease of labeling (so l can read the label). l kept the
name of the buttons the same for all the labeled sections and keyframed the
last frame of the labeled section and applied my code there. Each function
has a unique name, however button names are identical from section to
section. You can view those sections at 888acolyte.com by clicking on any of
the images in the application section and then browsing through the
thumbnail navigation menu, you will see that the product button repeat
sometimes from section to section.

X230t touch pad not registering clicks after spill

Hello. I accidently spilled non-acetone nail polish remover on my keyboard a day ago. I immediately turned off the laptop and wiped everything down with a paper towel. The keyboard and track point seem to be working fine, but the touch pad is having problems. It still registers when I move my finger around on it and even is able to scroll down web pages, but it will not register clicks when I click down on the touch pad or even when I tap it with my finger. Will I have to replace the whole palm rest area or should I just wait for it to dry some more? Thank you.

This could be driver issue.
Please try to download the latest driver for your touch pad, and install it in Windows 8.1 compatibility mode to check the results.
Otherwise, contact the manufacture to feedback the issue and wait for the updated package for Windows 8.1.

SRM RFx Response - How to check if a button is clicked or not

This is rani. Im very new to SAP.
Im into my first project, in which im having an Immediate enhacement.
In SRM Portal, I need to logged in as bidder to create a bid response.
"Participate" button is there, i need to clicked that button, this is mandatory.
So how and where to check whether the button is clicked or not.
else i need to raise the error message in BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI and some fileds needs to be grayed out.
The webdynpro component is FPM_OIF_COMPONENT.
Can u please help me out in this regard.

In SRM 7.0 the system variables ( sy-ucomm & sy-Tcode ) will not work .
if you want the action code triggered in the Webdynpro screen inside the BADI: BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI
kindly study the SAP Note 1334202 - How to get current action ID and transaction group
Below piece of code will give you the action Id in side the badi
