Client isolation and the Bonjour gateway on WLC 7.4.1

Hi,
I am considering upgrading our 5508 WLCs to version 7.4.1 to take advantage of the Bonjour gateway. What I want to do is allow clients on our guest wireless network to access things like the Apple TV in our conference rooms. My intention would be to have the Apple TVs on a separate vlan. Obviously, the Bonjour gateway would allow for access between these 2 networks. The question I have is this. If I have client isolation turned on my guest wireless network, is it still possible for these devices to access Apple TVs on another network?
Any and all information is appreciated!
Thanks!

If the Apple TV on the wireless lan , that wont work.

  • PS CS3 - working on client pc and the eraser tool has gone pixelated ?

    Working onsite on a clients pc - and suddenly using the erraser toll it has gone all pixleated !! grrr
    I have open PS with resetting all tools, the just resetting the eraser tolls. cannot for th elife of me able to get it back to a smooth blend ?
    Tired and frustrated - any helpers please.
    oh its PS CS3 !!

    Firstly - thanks folks - Got up this morning with great suggestion to get this sorted today.
    1) eraser tool is set to Brush op=100% and Flow 100%
    Mode is -= CmYK (ticked to 8 bit - changed to 16 bit no change)
    So will have a go at resetting preferences. read this and did the restart holding Alt, Ctrl, and Shif. So will find the prefs.psp !
    If you have larger troubles, hold down Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys (Mac: Command, Option, Shift) while starting up Photoshop. A dialog box will appear asking if you wish to delete the preferences/settings file.
    A2: You can also simply search your hard drive for a *.psp file and delete it. It will be called something along the lines of "Adobe Photoshop X Prefs.psp".
    Thanks again folks - but I am still a stressed bunny !

  • CVP: using the Gatekeeper and the SIP Proxy, why? VXML gateway and the ingress gateway communication?

    Hi All;
    I am actually keep asking with my self, why to use gatekeeper or SIP proxy when deploying the CVP solution, why not to use the Call Manager? Is it because that the concept built on SIP and H323 so call manager can not handle these kind of operations as call manager is supporting MGCP?
    From the other side, what kind of trunk or protocol of communication method is used between the ingress gateway and the VXML browser?
    Any advise?
    Regards
    Bilal

    The main reason is not all who deployed ISN/CVP in the past use Call Manager as the PBX.
    CVP is a powerful solution that covers many deployment scenarios. Its ability to integrate with legacy switches has been very important in the past, and although as we move forward, these types of deployments will probably become fewer, the independence of CVP on Call Manager remains a cornerstone of the design.
    I'm glad it was built that way. Look at some of the other deployment models (like Call Director) in the CVP Guide.
    It's not because Call Manager supports MGCP - you don't need to have any MGCP gateways in your Call Manager deployment. You could have all H.323 gateways and manage the dial plan on the gateways with a gatekeeper. Or use SIP.
    The ingress gateway does not talk to the VXML server - the VXML gateway does.
    In a branch office design, these are one and the same; but that's not the fundamental architecture. The IOS on the VXML gateway runs a voice browser (I guess you could call this a VXML browser). It uses HTTP to send and receive information (VXML documents) from the VXML server - whether this be the CVP Call Server or an external VXML server (like what was brought in-house with the Audium acqusition - the Cisco CVP VXML Server).

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page).
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    Here's a screenshot showing the particular links on the page that you should be clicking:
    After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:
    Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:
    When the dialog appears, choose to save the file.
    (2) Go to the Downloads area for your Web browser. Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

    Hi Scott
    Correct! I have resolved this a few minutes earlier. I have assigned the vSwitch to Promiscuous Mode but forgot to switch it to "Accept", the default value is "Reject"
    Thanks so much!

  • Backing up the DHCP static client list and the netboot white list?

    Hi,
    we're using a DHCP server here with a list of static clients. Those clients are white-listed via the netboot service.
    Can someone please tell me where these services keep their data? So far I've been doing full-image backups but since the servers need to be running 24/7 now, I need to be able to pull backups via the command shell.

  • Meetingplace server crash and lost the default gateway info

    HI all
    I have ver 2.0.1.15. I have first eth0 on ip 10.1.1.18 and 2nd eth1 192.168.162.21. will crash and the default gateway on eth0 will be gone. Am i doing something wrong.

    Shannon,
    Harry is asking you the right question, because a theme with any bad syntax in it (especially custom XSLT files) will get scrapped when the server restarts.
    Try to think of something you changed recently, revert it to see of the theme will show up, and try to find the syntax error in your recent changes.
    This caught me by surprise when it first happened, but I suppose it is a nice feature. The Wiki Server falls back on a theme that works, which are the built-in ones. It would be nice if the errors were logged instead of just scrapping the theme, but I assume the spirit is to give you a wiki that works, rather than a nicely themed wiki that has errors.

  • RMI call back - How to refer to the client project from the server project?

    Hi, I am working on an RMI assignment which basically needs me to use the RMI call back for the server to notify the clients.
    I have 2 projects , one for the client and another for the server.
    In the client project, I have a client interface and the main client class implements this interface.
    In the server project, I have a server interface and a class that implements this interface.
    I can use the server interface in the client project's code by adding the server project in the path of the client project. it lets me use the server interface in the code if I put "import.." statement.
    But the issue is I can not do the same to access the client interface from within the server project's code. Since that will be a circular reference, the compiler does not let me use the client interface from within the server's code. This is putting me in a great difficulty and I am stuck here. What should I do so that I can use the client interface and the compiler won't complain?
    Thanks for any help..
    Regards.. js

    Let me explain what I tried: I manually generated stub class of the client using the Eclipse IDE as mentioned in my previous message. The StockMSClient_Stub.class got created in my client project.
    The common project has the 2 interfaces - one from the client and one from the server.
    I have added reference to the common project from the client and server projects to use the interfaces.
    With the above mentioned in place, when I run the server project, the registry binding of the server objects is very fine. But I am getting error in the applet at the line where I am passing the client object to the method provided by the server interface. The following is the code snippet in the applet where I am getting the error.
    specifically the line: String response = objs.login(userId, password, smsClient);     ====================
    public void login() {

  • Problem with the socket and the standard output stream

    Hy, I have a little problem with a socket program. It has the server and the client. The problem is that the client at one point in the program, cannot print messages in the console.
    My program does the next: the server waits connections, when a client connects to it, the server gets outputstream to the socket and writes two strings on it. Meanwhile, the client gets the inputstream to the socket and reads on it with a loop the two strings written by the server . The strings are printed by the client in the console. The problem starts here; once the read strings are printed ,I mean, after the loop, there are other System.out.println in the client but the console doesnt print anything . It curious that only when I comment on the server code the line that says: "br.readLine()" just before the catch, the client prints all the System.out.println after the loop but why?
    Here is the code:
    Server code:
    public class MyServerSocket {
    public MyServerSocket() {
    try{
    ServerSocket server= new ServerSocket(2000);
    System.out.println("servidor iniciado");
    Socket client=server.accept();
    System.out.println("Client connected");
    OutputStream os=client.getOutputStream();
    PrintWriter pw= new PrintWriter(os);
    String cadena1="cadena1";
    String cadena2="cadena2";
    pw.println(cadena1);
    pw.println(cadena2);
    pw.flush();
    InputStream is=client.getInputStream();
    InputStreamReader isr= new InputStreamReader(is);
    BufferedReader br= new BufferedReader(isr);
    br.readLine(); //If a comment this line, the client prints after the loop, all the System.out....
    catch (IOException e) {
    // TODO: handle exception
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    new MyServerSocket
    Client code:
    public class MyClientSocket {
    public MyClientSocket () {
    try{
    Socket client= new Socket("localhost",2000);
    InputStream is=client.getInputStream();
    InputStreamReader isr= new InputStreamReader(is);
    BufferedReader br= new BufferedReader(isr);
    String read;
    while((read=br.readLine())!=null){
    System.out.println(read);
    //These messages are not printed unless I comment the line I talked about in the server code
    System.out.println("leido");
    System.out.println("hola");
    }catch (IOException e) {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    new MyClientSocket
    }

    You are right but with this program the loop ends. As you see, the first class, the Server, writes to the socket one text file. The second class, the client, reads the text file in his socket written by the server and writes it to a file in his machine.
    NOTE: The loop in the client ends and the server doesnt make any close() socket or shutdownOutput() .

  • Calibrating 15" MBP LCD and a 22" Gateway LCD correctly?

    No matter how hard i've tried there is no way i can calibrate the LCD on my MBP and the 22" gateway LCD to look the same. I want to have the exact same color profiles but if i select for example the same adobe color profile on my MBP and 22" Gateway, even tho the profiles are the same the differences are quite noticeable.
    How can i calibrate the LCD on my MBP and 22" gateway to be the same?

    After color calibration with the huey, they will be not be exact, but as close as they can be, which is to say, they will be MUCH closer than they are now. I agree with you that the color gamut (the spread of colors possible) is better on the Gateway than it is on the laptop, but I can only tell you I don't think you'll be disappointed if you get the huey (Colorvision Spyder probably works just as good, but I've never used it). The Gateway being better shouldn't be a surprise, given the laptop monitor has other things than just color accuracy to be concerned about (e.g. text crispness, heat, longevity in a mobile setting, compressed resolution rendering).
    One thing I noticed with both monitors once they were calibrated, is the incredible amount of blue I had going on with both. After calibrating, you can go back to color settings before calibrating, and click on before/after buttons. The difference is amazing. The color calibrator renders something like 25 colors from the Greytag MacBeth color chart (same company as the one that makes the Huey) and then matches it to a database, to determine how far your monitor's color settings are from the standard, then adjusts them so they match the Pantone standard colors. Nice, quick, effective.
    The two monitors will also likely be much closer to input (e.g. from your camera) and output (to your printer) once you get it squared away and do a little tweaking of camera and printer (otherwise you'd need to create a profile for each of those too.

  • MGCP and H.323 gateways not working together

    We have a 3640 in Mexico defined to our Call Manager here in Atlanta as a H.323 gateway. Also in the same Call Manager is a T1 PRI defined to our PBX as a MGCP gateway. When people in Mexico call phones connected to our PBX we get one way conversations. We have a couple of other H.323 to MGCP gateways situations that don't work. It seems the two are not compatible. Has anyone else ran into this. If so, what was your solution.

    According to your description, I believe that you have a topology like the following diagram.
    MexicoPSTN---?---3640---h.323---CCM---mgcp---gateway?---PRI---PBX
    You didn't mentioned what type of circuit you had between the 3640 and the telco in Mexico or the type of gateway used for MGCP in Atlanta.
    However, there should be no problems with this type of configuration causing one-way audio.
    In this case CallManager talks H.323 to the 3640 in Mexico and talks MGCP to the gateway in Atlanta for the call control. When a call is placed from a PSTN phone in Mexico to a PBX phone in Atl, the call setup will first take place via H.323 between the 3640 and CCM and via MGCP b/w the Atl gw and CCM. After the call setup is complete, the audio stream should be connected directly between the 2 endpoints (ie 3640 gateway and the Atl gateway).
    You should check for IP connectivity between the Mexico 3640 and the Atl router. Note, the call setup could complete successfully b/c both devices can reach the CCM, but can they reach each other when CCM steps out of the picture?
    The following URL will also provide more good info on troubleshooting one-way audio.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk652/tk698/technologies_tech_note09186a008009484b.shtml

  • Client NAT and Source IP Sticky

    How can we implement client NAT and source IP sticky for the same server farm without running into issues? Our NAT pool is using IPs from the VIPs' subnet. Is this possible? This configuration is on Cat 6500 w/ CSM-S v. 2.1.1. Thanks.

    this is possible.
    The CSM will first determine the destination server based on the client ip and the sticky srcip table and then it will nat the client ip address using your pool.
    It does not matter which subnet is being used as long as the servers know to respond back to the CSM.
    Regards,
    Gilles.

    Need to understand the readability between the CUCM and SRST.
    What is the recommended Delay/Latency, Bandwidh  between Call manager and The SRST gateway setup.
    Regards,
    Velu S

    Hi Manish,
    I've been struggling to get this information and what I could understand from the SRND is that this 80ms is just related to the Intra-Cluster communications (Between Servers UCS), there is no relation with SRST Gateways:
    "The maximum one-way delay between any two Unified CM servers should not exceed 40 ms, or 80 ms round-trip time."
    From that I assume that the RTD between the SRST and the Cluster should be based on the affirmation below:
    "If a voice service is hosted across a WAN where the one-way latency is 200 ms, for example, users might experience issues such as delay-to-dialtone or increased media cut-through delays. For other services such as presence, there might be no problem with a 200 ms latency."
