Client Proxy creation

Hi,
I am trying to consume a webservice available on the net,
http://www.webservicex.net/globalweather.asmx
I am creating it Via SE80 - Create service wizard.
I give the URL of the WSDL, but when I click on complete , which ideally should generate the Proxy , ends with an error
HTTP error (return code 404, message "Not Found")
Message no. SPRX090
I am hoping it is something very basic , I am missing. Please advise.
Thanks,
Vaibhav

Hi Vaibhav,
I suspect the proxy is blocking the URL.
Could you try creating HTTP Desination to http://www.webservicex.net and configure the proxy under Global settings.
sufix: /globalweather.asmx
Please lemme know the status

    Hi Shyam,
      <b>1. Do i need to create Proxy from XI sap gui (or ) R3 Dev system sap gui ?</b>
                 Always proxies are developed at the application side.You have create proxy on ur R/3 system not on XI. Once you are done with the IR objects then the message interfaces will be reflect in sproxy tcode in R/3 and start defining the outbound proxy from there..
    <b>2. Then i planning to write abap report to call rfc and return data to proxy .Do i need to wtrite abap report in R3 side or XI side proxy it self ?</b>
             You have write abap report in R/3 side.
    <b>3. I have xi dev system and R3 Dev system . IR desing done rfc ready how top procedd further ?</b>
       Write the abap report where u have to incooperate the rfc call and pass the return values to the proxy structure.....So when u execute the report the data will triggered to the XI system........this is the flow..
    <b>4. Do i need to do any settings ?</b>
            Go through this blog for the settings required for proxy scenarios:

  • Error in Client Proxy creation

    Hi ,
    In SPROXY txn , When iam asked for prefix, I have given 'z' and have used Local object . Then i have saved and activated the proxy created. But when i open the proxy class created , I couldn't see the EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS method  but there is something like "IF_PROXY_CLIENT~EXECUTE" and one more method wid the same name as that of my  Service Interface name.
    My doubts are :
    1.Whether my proxy got created successfully ?
    2.What do u mean by Orphaned objects ?
    3.Can i use a local object for creating proxy or should i declare it within a package that too in level4 only ??
    I am not getting a clear picture from the blogs and forums ..So pls share ur inputs on this
    Thanks,
    Laawanya

    Hi Laawanya,
    From PI 7.0 (I don`t remember which SP) EXECUTE_SYNCHRONOUS and EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS are note available.
    Instead, the methos are called with the same name than the Message Interface.
    So, I think your proxy is created properly.
    You can create your proxy in a local object.

  • Web Service - Client Proxy generation error

    Hi All,
    I tried creating a client proxy using an URL provided to me and followed the steps using the wizard. I end up in getting the following error messages. Could anyone throw some light on resolving this? I do not have any idea about what WSDL is. Any help is highly appreciated. Not able to attach the WSDL code here.
    Below is the error message upon client proxy creation:
    Proxy-Generierung: Fehler aufgetreten
    Exception occurred in library handler
    Not implemented
    Thanks

    Resolved through SAP Help. Refer SAP note# 0001403271.

  • Error in creation of client proxy.

    Hello all,
    I try to consume a webservice in SAP ABAP. When i create the service consumer proxy it is giving an error message llike
    "Incorrect value: Unknown QName http://wholesale...........................sendeWholesaleMeldungRequest"
    Have anyone come across this error scenario.
    I m using SAP ECC 6.0.
    Regards
    Sandep.

    Hi Sandeep,
    --->While creating client Proxy object to consume the webservice a pop will raise with 4 radio buttons options,i think you had selected any one of that depending upon your requirement,rite,If not do that and try.
    -->If you have the WSDL file in your local system select the Radio Button WSDL and import it into your Client Proxy.
    -->Also create the Logical Port.
    Thanks

  • Creation of client proxy for a WSDL with 2 port types??

    Hi,
    I am trying to consume an external web service from SAP - ECC6.0. The WSDL file has 2 porttype definitions - one for i/p and one for o/p
    When I proceed with SE80 to create a client proxy, it asks me to select any one port type to generate the client proxy. If I select only the input port, it generates proxy for the input port alone.
    In this scenario, how do I create proxies and configure logical ports, and call it from a single program to invoke the whole web servie with both i/p and o/p?
    TIA,
    Regards
    Deepthi

    Hi,
    i.       Import your message schemas from external definitions, or RFCs or IDocs from SAP systems. These definitions already contain data types.
    ii.       Create a message interface and reference the messages of the external definition, or the RFC or IDoc message.
    Check this, it may help you

  • Creation of client proxy out of WSDL?

    Hi ,
    I need help in creating client proxy out of WSDL. It would be very helpful if someone lets me know the usage of performing this .I'm not much familiar with web services.
    Regards,
    Christina.

    Hi,
    right click on your package
    create --> Enterprise Service / Web Service --> Proxy Object
    -> URL/HTTP destination
    -> Specify WSDL URL
    Sometimes naming conficts occur.
    Save and activate the proxy.
    And then you have to call the proxy from a client application

  • Error in client proxy generation

    Hi experts,
                    I am trying to consume a web-service from an ABAP progam, to do this I create an Enterprise Service Client Proxy. But creation of the proxy fails with the error message
    "Incorrect value: Unknown Namespace http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/ .
          For client confidentiality issues I cannot put the wsdl file or its content on the thread but I can provide certain details of the code which you might wish to see.
    Also my wsdl contains messages with miltiple parts.Is this also a trouble while generating the proxies in ABAP ?
    Are these two problems related?
      Can I find a link precisely which can provide a kind of checklist to see that these steps have to be followed or  these conditions have to be met by wsdl for generation of client proxies in ABAP?
    Any pointers will be useful.
    Thanks and Regds
    Abhishek

    Hi Anton,
                  I will provide you some piece of the file which might help you in analysing the problem....
    <wsdl:definitions xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:tm="http://microsoft.com/wsdl/mime/textMatching/" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:mime="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/mime/"
    xmlns:tns="http://www.abc.com"
    xmlns:s1="http://www.abc.com/AbstractTypes"
    xmlns:s="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soap12="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap12/" xmlns:http="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/http/"
    targetNamespace="http://www.abc.com"
    xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/">
        <s:schema targetNamespace="http://www.abc.com/AbstractTypes">
          <s:import namespace="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" />
          <s:complexType name="StringArray">
            <s:complexContent mixed="false">
              <s:restriction base="soapenc:Array">
                <s:sequence>
                  <s:element minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded" name="String" type="s:string" />
                </s:sequence>
              </s:restriction>
            </s:complexContent>
          </s:complexType>
        </s:schema>
    Similarly the WSDL has messages with multiple parts like:
      <wsdl:message name="GetReleasedGenericDrawing2DHttpGetIn">
        <wsdl:part name="DocumentNo" type="s:string" />
        <wsdl:part name="SheetNo" type="s:string" />
        <wsdl:part name="ClassName" type="s:string" />
      </wsdl:message>
    If you need some ther details from the file please let me know. I have cross checked that it is using a Document/literal style so it should not be a problem.
      I have gone through the SAP note (944029) for the list some forbidden keywords which were a problem  prior to release of SP 16 .We dont have even that problem.
    This thing is very new to me ....please let me know if you wnat some other detail for analysis.

  • User ID and password Popup in Client proxy

    Hi Experts,
    I created a client proxy to consume a webservice.When i execute the proxy, it pops up for user id and password,
    i created one logiccal port also using tcode SOAMANAGER. during creation of the logical port, i entered teh user id adn password. but still it prompts for user credentials at the time of execution.
    on the popup first line is "Resource - protected web service"
    then option for user id and password.
    How can i pass the user id and password programatically.
    Thanks
    Yogesh Gupta

    http_client->propertytype_logon_popup = http_client->co_disabled.
    wf_user = user .
    wf_password = password .
    call method http_client->authenticate
      exporting
        username             = wf_user
        password             = wf_password.

  • Creating PO in abap report that triggers client proxy

    Hi All,
    Can anyone help me in this.
    I wanna create PO thru my abap report, from which i will be triggering client proxy. I have done this PO creation using ALE
    but now as the requirement is to send an attachment as well so using proxy.
    i have got lil idea by going thru forums replies that i can call bapi_po_create in abap report. Is my understanding correct.
    If yes, can i get an idea of the coding.
    Thanks
    Regards

    Hi,
    To create a Purchase order through Coding you can use the BAPI_PO_CREATE.
    Reward points if it is helpful
    Thanks,

  • ABAP Proxy creation doubt   -  Pls Help

    Hi Friends ,
                          I have referred the following blog for abap proxy creation
    /people/ravikumar.allampallam/blog/2005/03/14/abap-proxies-in-xiclient-proxy
                      as per the previous replies , <b>we have to generate proxiy from R3 syetm</b> . <b>But</b> in this weblog they are <b>generating from XI server</b> ?
                          The  have doubt  in the following passges
    1.
    <i>We use two clients of XI here. <b>Client 100 acts as XI server</b> .<b>Client 105 acts as a client ABAP proxy</b> which sends employee information as a message to XI which routes the info to a file. Logical flow is depicted as shown below. Note that conversion of sending system format to XI specific format is not done at the outbound side of the XI server.</i>
    <b>
               a.  i have webAS 6.40 . i have  R3 6 . So i can generate proxy from R3 it self right ? then how to procedd further .
                b. So Proxy and report to call proxy also from R3 SIDE ?
                c. If No sender agreement  required then in IR only receiver determination and receiver agreement is enough ?
                d. Then in receiver Detrmination , do i need to give Business system as sender service ?
                  </b>
            <b>    can u please explain this a little bit more ?</b>
    Regards.,
    Shyam

    Hi Shyam,
    <b>we have to generate proxiy from R3 syetm . But in this weblog they are generating from XI server ?</b>
       In this blog, Ravi has taken two different clients in the same system. As the abap code is client independent so it can be generated anywhere irrespective of clients. But while executing the report we cannot do it from the same client as of the IS.So we need to trigger the report from the client 105 which is considered as the client proxy.
      check Triggering ABAP PROXY in the blog.
    <b>c. If No sender agreement required then in IR only receiver determination and receiver agreement is enough ?</b>
       Yes.
    <b>d. Then in receiver Detrmination , do i need to give Business system as sender service ?</b>
    You can create business system for the R/3 and use it in RD.But the business system dont have any sender communication channel and no need of sender agreement as the data will directly hit the IE of XI.

  • ABAP Client Proxy to File (File is not getting generated)

    Hi All,
    I'm trying out a scenario ABAP proxy --> XI  --> FILE.
    I have followed the given blog to create ABAP client proxy.
    /people/ravikumar.allampallam/blog/2005/03/14/abap-proxies-in-xiclient-proxy
    While executing the ABAP client proxy, the values are properly sent to XI and in the SXMB_MONI the message shows as successful. But the correspoding file is not created.
    It seems everything is fine in the receiver adpater(Monitoring) and in the SXMB_MONI also the msg shows successful(receiver side).
    The directory path and the corresping file creation parameters also looks fine.
    Couldn't figure out what went wrong. Please help me on this.
    Thanks,
    Ajay.

  • GET_BUSINESS_SYSTEM_ERROR for Client Proxy (Without XI)

    I created a client proxy for a web service developed by our Microsoft team.  When I use the proxy, I get a system exception with the following text: 'GET_BUSINESS_SYSTEM_ERROR An error occurred when determining the business system (SLD_API_EXCEPTION)'.  All of the SDN posts or blogs I have read on this error refer to SLD issues within XI-enabled environments; however, I don't have XI installed.  I can successfully call web services provided by other sources, such as www.webserviceX.net.  Any ideas on what the issue could be?  Does some component of SLD still need to be maintained for the local environment?
    Thanks.

    Hi Brad,
    You would not believe it.
    I had the same issue and came to this link, and thanks to your comment I realized that I had not created the Logical Port!
    I love SDN for this!
    Issue resolved and all working now.
    For all others, creation of the Logical port was done through SOAMANAGER (t-code).
    Regards,
    Nelson

  • Initial settings for client proxy in SE80.

    Hi Experts,
    I tried to create a client proxy on the CRM system for a web service URL (where the WSDL exists), in the transaction SE80.
    When I tried creating this, the proxy creation halted at a point, stating that the HTTP not found. When I checked the info, it stated that the initial settings in the transaction SICF must be done.
    Please let me know what are all the settings that needs to be done in this regard.
    TIA. Points shall be awarded.
    Regards,

    You should read [this help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/1f/93163f9959a808e10000000a114084/frameset.htm] and

    I wrote a report yesterday based on this tutorial and it worked for me. I set the proxy parameters and authentication in the report, so I haven't test the SICF transaction solution.
    Hope this helps
